As the days goes by Inari have been skipping class and going straight to work. She haven't been in the mood for learning. After getting a snack she sat in her office doing paperwork. Tangi walks in then stood in front of her desk looking worried.
"Inari..."
She staple papers together.
"Yes Mom?"
"I heard you and Kunimitsu aren't getting along. Did something happened? You can tell me if you want."
She smile. "Nothing happened. Everything is fine. It's just that, I'm over him."
Tangi stares at her daughter.
"Are you sure? I know you had feeling for him."
She nod. "Yeah, but that was in the past." She nods. "Okay."
Tangi kiss her forehead then leaves her office. Inari sat there and continue doing paperwork.
When she finally decided to go back to school she walks over to Oshitari. He looks her way then smirks. He close his book.
"Wow. Does my eyes deceive me? You? Inari Violet. Wants to talk to me? Tezuka must me messing up terribly."
She roll her eyes.
"This has nothing to do with Kunimitsu. I need to ask you a question, but first, what's this shit?" She points to his book.
"It's a Romance novel."
Inari roll her eyes. "Romance? You mean garbage?"
He shakes his head. "Of course you will say that. But don't bash Romance because Tezuka won't return your feelings."
"I don't have feelings for Tezuka."
Oshitari smirk grew wider. He lean his head on his hand. "Oh really?" He liked what she just said.
"Don't make that ugly face. I don't want you neither." He chuckles.
"Damn, and I thought I had a chance."
She move in closer. "You never did."
He sigh. "Anyway, what can I do for you?"
As Inari talk to Oshitari. Joshie and the guys took notice of what she's doing.
"I wonder what they are talking about?" Joshie questioned.
"They look serious." Oishi said.
Yushi glance at Tezuka then smirks. Kunimitsu narrow his eyes at him. Oshitari decided to touch Inari so he can piss off Tezuka. And when he touch her arm. Inari grab it then twist his finger. He yells in pain. Students laugh at his suffering.
"She got it under control." Kikumaru said.
"Yushi…Buddy...Let me tell you something. Touch me again and I'll break your damn fingers." She threatened.
"Damn woman. Be gentle." Yushi rubs his fingers.
"Look, enough playing around. Are you going to tutor me in English or not?"
He stares at Inari then fold his arms.
"I thought Tezuka is your English tutor?"
She sigh. "Yes or no?" She demanded an answer.
Yushi looks her up and down.
"I want something in return, and you know what it is."
She pushed him then walk away.
"Fuck it. I'll go ask Yagyu to tutor me."
Oshitari stares at Tezuka. He smile then laugh a little. Tezuka clinch his fist while grumbling. He can't stand Oshitari.
When class was over instead of going home Kunimitsu went to his parents house after practice. He sigh for the sixth time while texting Oishi on his cellphone. His parents looks at each other then look back at him. Kunimitsu sigh again.
"Is something bothering you Kunimitsu?" Kuniharu asked.
He stop typing then looks up at his father.
"No." He replied.
"Are you sure?"
He nods. "Yes."
His father sigh. "Okay."
Kunimitsu sighed again. His mother sat next to him.
"Alright, what's bothering you?"
"It's nothing. But-" He sigh again.
"Kunimitsu you can tell us." He sigh then stare at both of his parents.
"It's about Inari."
The next day the Seigaku team is practicing on the Tennis court. They watched Tezuka play tennis for a long time but never like this. He's going against Fuji and Kaidoh at the same time. It's a two on one game and Fuji and Kaidoh is having a hard time.
The others stare at them. They know Tezuka is pissed but they don't know why. So it's best for him to take his anger out on the game. Because if they try to calm him down. He will make them run 150 laps and that shit ain't happening. While looking for Joshie, Inari ran into the Tennis court.
"Hey, I got your message. Where's Inui? You said he's injured from a Tennis racket and I want to see the blood." She grins. "Where is it?"
"I'm fine Inari. We only said that so you will come running."
She sigh. "Really? Whatever. Have you guys seen Joshie? I need to borrow her highlighter. Unless you guys want to lend me yours?"
"Inari. We need you to talk to Tezuka." Oishi said.
"I don't have time. My class starts in a few and I still need a highlighter."
"Just for a while. If your class starts just go, we'll handle him."
She nod then walk over to their Captain. Fuji and Kaidoh said hi to Inari as they walks back to the others.
"Tezuka."
He kept swinging his racket while ignoring her.
"Tezuka..."
Again he ignores Inari but once he miss, he takes out another ball then finally took notice that she's standing next to him. He continues to swing his racket.
"Tezuka?"
"What is it?" He asked with a nasty as attitude.
"You okay? You're fine right?"
"It's nothing Inari, so don't worry about it."
She nod then decided to leave. He sigh then turns to her.
"Why are you leaving?"
"Because you said you're okay."
He sigh. "And you believe that?"
She nod. Kunimitsu sigh.
"Of course. You know nothing about me."
Inari nod. "You're right. I don't. Bye." She turns away.
"Why are you like this?"
She turns to face him. "Like what?"
"Cold towards me."
She sigh. "I'm not being cold Tezuka. While traveling I realize that I'm not interested. I always wanted to be around you because I had feelings for you. But not anymore."
Tezuka nods. Now he understands why she been distant. When he walks to his bag she follows him.
"Now back to you. Why are you upset?"
"You should already know."
She sigh. "No I don't. So what the hell are you talking about?"
Tezuka turns around.
"Why are you here worrying about me? Shouldn't you be with Oshitari?"
Inari rolls her eyes. Of course. Yushi is the reason Tezuka is pissed.
(I guess he saw me talking to him that day.)
"You think I didn't know you was with him?"
Inari raise her eyebrow like huh?
"With him where?"
"How was your date last night? Did you two fall in love?"
Inari laugh. "I didn't go out with Oshitari. I was talking to him that day because I needed him to tutor me. So stop being jealous. You misunderstood what was going on."
"I'm not jealous."
"Right… Okay Kunimitsu. You're not."
Tezuka cross his arms. "I don't like when you're being sarcastic. You know what. I don't have time for this. Just leave me alone, okay? Can you do that?"
He turns away. Before he walk away Inari grab his arm and grip it tight.
"Excuse me? Leave you alone? I been left you alone since the day our family had that fucked up dinner. And when I left and came back. I continue to give you what you wanted."
"And what is that?"
"YOUR SPACE! I know you didn't want to be bothered so I stayed away. I didn't want to talk to you. Your friends convinced me to. I'm just doing this because I need a fucking highlighter. You want to be alone so, continue to be alone."
Tezuka stares at Inari as she walk away. Kunimitsu grab his bag and went to go change.
"Does anyone have a highlighter?" Inari asked. Inui hands her one. "Thanks. Bye guys." She ran to class.
