Albus tried to clear his mind. He walked over to the glass cage, looking for a way to get them out. He was about to cast a spell on it, but before he could Rose said, "It's useless, Al. We've tried a million times."
"How did you get all of those bruises then? Didn't Voldemort have to get in somehow?" he asked.
"Apparation. Seeing as none of us can apparate, there goes our only option," Roxanne sighed.
How could this happen? Why weren't things returning to normal? He looked at the maps on the walls, to see only Teddy was still there. Wait. Teddy. He was still there! He could apparate!
"Hang on, I'll be right back," he said, running out of the Minister's office. He stormed into a lift, almost tripping over his now baggy, ripped clothing. He paid no mind to the Ministery workers on the lift, but they paid a lot to him. All of them continuously asked who he was and why he was here, but he ignored them. Once he reached the atrium, he ran out, looking helplessly at the adults that towered over him to see either Teddy or the man he morphed into.
He noticed he himself started fading too. I'm doing something wrong! he thought. I need to get Teddy and find Mum... she's ought to know something! Or Dad.. if he's even still here.
Nevertheless, he still tried to search for Teddy. Everyone going the opposite direction kept pushing him back due to the fact that he wasn't that tall or muscular. Al tried his best to go against the crowd, but he couldn't. It was useless. There was no way he was going to find Teddy before he too faded.
"Al!" he heard suddenly. It wasn't Teddy, though. It was in fact his Grandpa. No, not Mr. Weasley. His dad's dad. James Potter.
Suddenly, everything clicked in his mind. That's why everything was all messed up in the first place! Not Voldemort (well, partially Voldemort), it was them! Al maneuvered through the crowd as best as he could to get to them. It seemed easier for him because he already knew where they were.
Sure enough, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were with him. However, Peter was being closely watches by both Sirius and Remus.
"Why are you here?" Al asked. "You're the ones causing this translucent thing that's going on!" he exclaimed, pointing to himself.
"Blame El Gutso over here," Sirius said, nudging James.
"Hey, it's an instinct to trust the gut!" James defended. "I thought something was going on so we came here to figure out what it is!"
"Well, something was wrong. Voldemort was in this time, but I got him back to the correct one, no thanks to you." Al shook his head. "Look, I need to find Teddy and get back to what was the Burrow. Can you apparate?"
"We lost our magic," Remus stated.
"We can help you find Teddy, though. I don't understand how's he's still here, though," Sirius said, frowning.
"I saw him on the map, though," Al countered.
"Wait," Remus said. "I have an idea. Albus, do you still have magic?"
"Yeah," he answered.
"Maybe we could all go to our time and confront Dumbledore about this. Maybe he can help us! Plus, we could just stay in our era and let time fix itself," he suggested.
"That actually isn't half bad," James said. "We might not want to do it out in the open."
The most private place here is the Minister's office, plus I can explain to the others why, too, Albus thought. "Follow me," he said, before going in the direction that the lifts were. The Marauders followed him as they went into the only empty lift. They went to the floor the Minister's office was on, and the lift went down. Luckily, no one else stopped the lift, so they made it to level one quiet easily. Al led them into the Minister's office.
"What're they doing here?" Rose asked curiously. She had started to fade as well.
"They're the reason why nothing changed when Voldemort left. If I can manage to stay opaque long enough to cast that spell again, then everything will go back to normal!" Albus said.
"What are you waiting for?" Hugo asked. "Get on with it!" he pressured.
He nodded, saying the incantation 'Hospes Tempor Staminis' and the portal opened again, fairly more stable this time, but not by much. Sirius went in first, followed by Remus and Peter. James stayed behind for a second.
"Al, you're going to make a great wizard someday. Just stay in school," he said, pointing at the young wizard and then going into the portal. He did just in time too, because both Albus and Rose started to fade into the non-existent, and were soon gone.
The broken and bruised little sister of the Potters, Lily, started to tear up. "It was suppose to work."
