18 and 7 told everything to the stitchpunk family; even their children were present while the two stitchpunks never missed an opportunity to tell them every bit of detail. "It's large for at least five times our family, it has so many drawers and book shelves that can serve as our personal rooms and as a study or even perhaps-"
"You're getting too excited 18, stay on target," 7 giggled.
"Sorry," 18 smiled as he continued, "There's even a vast garden just outside the window! The plants are still just seedlings but I know that soon they'll sprout and become a wonderful garden to match with the lake and rivers around it, it could serve as a playground for the little ones and also as a place to relax."
Everyone was smiling somewhat at the descriptions of their new home. 18 described it so well, it sounded so perfect.
"There's room enough for over six workshops, there's even a record player in there! I bet there are records somewhere."
6 smiled widely at the revelation, the one thing he loved and she was good at was to listen to music, dance and draw. He remembered how they had to sneak out to get to the record player that stood outside in the Emptiness, now he'll have one in their new Sanctuary! He wondered what kind of music they would find there.
"Anyway..." 7 laughed, stopping 18 before he got too excited, "If you all are around to it... when should we move?"
The hooded twins and twin daughters nodded excitedly as 6 joined in their agreement, holding her daughter. The rest of them agreed to the new home, trusting 18 and 7 before looking back at all three elders.
"Well, I don't see why not..." 2 laughed, taking 12 from 5 as 21 agreed with a nod. "I think it sounds wonderful."
"Then, it's settled..." 1 spoke, everyone was rather surprised, he hadn't uttered a single syllable throughout the whole thing. "...We'll move to our new home..."
"First thing tomorrow?" 18 asked, raising his brow. 1 nodded, "Yes, first thing tomorrow..." the hooded twins jumped up and down happily and hugged 1 around his waist. Everyone was surprise when he just smiled at them.
"Alright, alright, you can let go of me..." he chuckled, pushing the twins away gently.
The twins nodded and let go, 86 growled slightly when 68 went over to hug 17 but he accepted it. After all the warrior girl promised his sister was safe. "Alright, then we should start packing," 7 announced.
"Yes, all except the beds, I don't want anyone to have a rough night's sleep," 1 ordered calmly. "Is it just me or is 1 acting rather... peculiar?" 5 whispered to his mentor, eying their leader as he walked past them.
2 chuckled softly, shrugging, "He's getting better as the days go on... I don't know what's gotten into him..."
"Well, if he is getting somewhat better... He's rather spooky about it..." he mumbled, shivering a bit.
2 chuckled, patting his apprentice's back, "Hopefully we'll all get used to it, my boy..." they turned their attention to 12 in 1's arms as he pointed after 1, "P-p-p... papa o-1?" he giggled.
"That's right," 2 smiled at his son, "That's your Father 1, and he's acting a bit funny, so no shenanigans, is that clear?" he asked, tickling the boy. "That goes to you too, 5." The mechanic chuckled nervously when 2 told him this. "We might not know why 1's being kind lately, but we know this, we mustn't disrupt his good mood, it's rare even for us."
1 and 2 nodded, smiling as their boy laughed and squirmed behind his dad's fingers. "We should..." 2 muttered, "But I wouldn't be too worried..."
20 hugged his mother around the neck, giggling, seeking sanctuary from his father's tickle attack.
0 smiled and hugged him tight, "What we should be worried about is if 12 can escape 2's tickling..." 5 chuckled softly at that.
"Dadadadada..." 12 cooed as all of the stitchpunks quickly went to their rooms, excited about their new home.

It was early the next morning when everyone was packing up to leave. 2 and 21 had found new skates so transporting all of the items was easier.
5 and 3, helped him to attach another skate at the end of the one they were using to carry their belongings, in order to bring both supplies and supplies for the children.
"There, I think we have everything..."
"I'll go make sure..." 7 retorted, sprinting back inside for a quick look. In the meantime, 4 leaned on 5 with a sigh. 'Do you think there are still beasts out there?...'
"There might be..." 5 admitted. "Maybe less than before... But we should still be on guard..."
9 nodded, cuddling up against his button, 'I hope nothing happens when we're moving...'
"Same here, 9..." the mechanic looked out into the Emptiness. "Same here..."
Everyone turned to the sound of 7 running back, "I didn't see anything..." she took a breath and walked up to 18, who was leading the way. "Okay, let's go."

The Stitchpunk family looked around, the warrior's standing on guard as they followed 9 across the emptiness, what 5 says got them on edge. 7 held her spear tightly, 8 kept his grasp on his knife, even 5 had a tight grip on his quiver, the other stitchpunks wondered why they were on edge, only 1 had an idea why but preferred to hold his tongue.
4 rocked one of her twins gently in her arms, a motherly look on her face.
3 held the other right beside her, but he seemed to be the most paranoid. Holding his twin daughter close to his chest in a protective way as his gaze darted around the dark emptiness. It just seemed quiet... too quiet.
34 slept soundly with the 'heartbeat' of her mother 4's humming to her a sweet lullaby.
12 squirmed a bit and let out a small whimper in his sleep.
1 was well aware of his son being scared, he was too. He calmed him by rubbing his back softly, humming to him.
The boy held onto one of his father's buckle, curling up against his chest to keep himself warm. Cold winds were brewing in the Emptiness. "Don't let your guard down..." 1 told loudly to make sure everyone was listening.
Everyone jumped slightly at his voice, but nodded all the same, trying to focus on following 18.
All around them was overtaken by silence, not even the wind dared to make a sound, only send shivers down their spine.
The only sound was the creaky turn of the wheels and the soft fall of their footsteps.
Ever since 1 told them to be on guard, it was the only thing they did, growing more nervous by the second.
"What was that...!?"
Everyone turned to 5 in a flash, the skate creaking to a stop as the mechanic looked onto a distance in a pile of debris. "W-what was what?" 21 asked.
12 kept whimpering in his sleep, the wind finally breaking the silence with a gust of cold wind.
1 shushed his son, rocking him as everyone kept asking the mechanic what he saw. "I-I think I heard something..." 5 whispered, staring out on the distance.
"D-d-dadda..." 12 held his father 1 close with his small arms. Everyone froze at the sound of metal clicking softly.
"W-what is that?..." 5 groaned, holding his quiver up as 9 hid behind him. "Something bad I'm sure..." 7 hissed, gripping her spear and slowly moving a bit closer to try and get a closer look.
They heard a mechanical whimper not far from where they stood. "It's coming from over there..." 1 pointed at a tumbled down building with a plaque reading "Olivander's Barbershop", golden scissors embed on the wood while holding his son.
"Should we check it out?" 7 asked.
18 answered her with a nod, 5 accompanied them as 8 and 86 stayed to stand guard.
"Stay here..." 7 whispered, waving to 8 and 86 to watch everyone as they explored the inside. 5 gulped as 18 pulled him, following 7 as she pushed past rocks and old barber utensils to jump inside.
Once reaching the inside of the so-called barbershop 5 gasped, all of them saw a machine trying to get out of some fallen debris. It had a resemblance to the Cat Beast, but the skull was more dog-like, even the skeletal structure of it had a canine feel to it along with its false ears and tail.
The machine's eye was what seemed different, it glowed green. The beast kept trying to pull out its leg from the fallen debris, whimpering and yelping every now and then.
5 hid behind 7 as 18 moved his lightstaff up to get a better look. The machine whimpered as the light blinded its green eye, its tail going between its steel and bone legs. 7 rose her stitchbrow, she had never seen a machine act this way. "W-what is it doing?" 5 whispered behind her.
The machine's ears flopped down, letting out soft whimpers. "I think... I think it's afraid of us..." 18 muttered, 7 kept a watchful eye on the beast. "I don't know... It might be a trick..."
The dog beast let out a howl as it tried to pull its leg free, attempting to back away from the stichpunks. 5 peeked from behind 7, he didn't cringe at the sight but rather look over its body language, sagging and shaking. 5 frowned, "I think it's hurt..."
"W-wait, 5!" 7 called out, the mechanic walked forward to the beast. 7 groaned, "If he bites your head off don't come crying to me," she said, frustrated but kept her spear tight in her hands.
The beast kept trying to back away, whimpering as 5 continued to walk up to it. It whimpered and hid its snout with its free paw. "It's okay..." 5 cooed, he stopped when the dog beast cringed. It took 5 a while before he placed his quiver down, trying to show that he meant no harm. "5..." 18 muttered, scared for his friend. "I'm not going to hurt you..." 5 whispered, ignoring 9 and keeping his optic on the beast.
"It's a trick, 5! Get back here!" 7 told, like a mother scolding her child.
5 ignored them again, "Easy does it, it's alright..." he slowly stepped forward and placed his hand over the machine's shivering snout, petting it. It took a while before the dog beast stopped shaking, its tail moving back and forth, it growled happily before licking the stitchpunk's hand.
"Hey, guys... This is just an overgrown puppy!" 5 chuckled, trying to wipe off the drool from his hand. He jumped when the machine let out a painful yelp, looking back at his leg.
"It's stuck..." 5 looked over its leg; he put his hands user the debris and pulled, grunting.
"Come on, guys! Help me out!"
18 nodded, but stopped and watch 7 cross her arms. It must be hard to realize something that gave them so much trouble, but eventually 18 convinced her to go help. 7 hit her spear in the dirt next to the debris, using it to help dig it up. 9 did the same with his light staff.
"Come on... come on...!" 5 groaned as he kept on pushing at the debris. The dog beast whined and yelped. "Don't worry; we'll get you out...!"
"Urrrgh..." it whined, moving and twisting its leg, determined to get free.
The three stitchpunks sighed after the beast's leg was free. The machine held his leg up without it touching the ground, whimpering a bit and licking its knee, a torn out wire behind a metal plate.
"Awww..." 5 breathed, noticing it first. He knelt next to its leg. The beast let the mechanic look it over, hiding its face and whimpering. "... I don't know if I can fix this... but I bet 2 can..." 5 said, turning to 7 and 18.
"Can we keep him?" 5 pleaded.
7 glanced at 18, smirking, "Yeah, 18... Can we keep him?" she mocked.
"Of course!"
7's smirk dropped at his answer as 18 went to the mechanical pooch, 5 was smiling like a child on Christmas morning. "Come on, we'll help it get outside."
"1 is going to flip..." 7 groaned rubbing her temples as the mechanical dog barked happily and licked 18's face, which sent the savior laughing.
