A Touch Of Hope

Chapter 21 - Hello, sexy.

Justin's POV.

After me and Alyssa sent the kids upstairs to get dressed, I couldn't help but grab Alyssa's waist and pull her into a bear hug. Everything was perfect now. We had Sophia back. Our life was the definition of perfect.

"I love you." I whimper as I stuff my face into the crook of my wife's neck, breathing in her scent. She giggles and tries to squirm away. I kiss her cheek and ascend the stairs. As I got to the top, I hear hysterical laughter coming from my sons room. His door was slightly open. I peak my head around the door to see what the commotion was.

"It's inside out!" Sophia manages to say between cries of laughter. She was stood in front of Louis, trying to get his top over his head. Louis howled with laughter, falling to the floor with his t-shirt over his head. Sophia fell onto his bed, gripping her stomach. Tears streamed down her face as she continued to laugh.

I opened the door fully and leant against the door frame. "You're both absolute nutters!" I laugh. Sophia sits up and sighs, wiping tears from her eyes.

"I have no idea why that was so funny!" She giggles.
"Hello! It's stuck!" Louis moans as he throws his hands in the air, his shirt blocking his vision. Sophia howls with laughter once again and falls back onto the bed. I walk over to my son, helping him fix his situation. His head pops out of one of the holes.

"Crap..." Sophia jumps up into a sitting position on the bed, hands gripping her chest. Where she had her transplant.

I ran over to her and knelt down, examining her. "Soph? Soph, you alright?"
She stops for a second to focus on her breathing. After a while, she nods and smiles. "Just got a bit too excited."

I gently grab her hand and pull her up. She whinces and falls into my chest. I hold her tight, letting her breathe. Louis had ran downstairs and must've told Alyssa what was wrong because he was stood at the doorway with tears in his eyes as Alyssa walked up to me and Soph.

"What happened?" Alyssa asks as she strokes Sophia's hair. Soph's head was resting against my chest as she breathed in and out loudly.

"She just got too excited, she'll be alright." I tell her.
"Maybe we should stay home today. Soph, you should stay in bed till we have to go to the party tonight..."

Sophia nods and grips my shirt. I carefully lead her out of Louis' room and into her own. I lower her down on the bed. She seemed alright, we was just in shock more than anything. I pulled the covers up to her chin and smiled down at her.

"Okay?"
"Yeah." She replied. I kissed her forehead and clicked her bedside light of.

About half an hour later, everyone else turned up. Me and Alyssa explained that Sophia wasn't too well this morning so we decided to keep her inside to ensure she was better for tonight. Chris instantly asked questions.

"What happened? Is she alright?"
"She's fine, her chest was hurting that's all. She's in bed."
"Did you take her to the hospital? Ring the doctor? Ring somebody? Ask them why?"
"Chris..." Michael chuckled, putting his hand on his grandson/son's shoulder. "I'm sure if it was serious Lyss and Justin would've taken her straight to the hospital, but she's still here so she'll be fine." Chris still looked unsure and worried as he stood, nodding his head.

"Go up and see her." Alyssa smiled. She'll need some company when she wakes up anyway."

Chris instantly shot up the stairs to her room . Us adults made our way to the kitchen where Alyssa put on the kettle. "They're such good kids." She sighs. "All of them." We all agree. They're so perfect. They've been through so much and they never complain about anything.

"Mommy!" Louis's voice rang through the living room and into the kitchen. He ran in and jumped up at Alyssa. "Are we not going out?" He frowns.

"Not today baby, your sister's not well, remember."
"Are you still going to the disco?"
"To the party, yeah. We just need your sister well enough first so keep the noice down." She scruffled his hair and gave him a drink of juice to have on the sofa whilst he watched some programmes with Abi and we spoke about things we havent spoke about in a long, long time. It was a touchy subject, but we had to get onto it sometime. We have to make sure our kids were safe from everyone. Especially the most obvious person within this situation.

Chris POV

When I went into Sophia's room, she was already awake, staring up at the ceiling. As soon as she saw me enter, her eyes lit up and she sat up as fast as possible. She whinced in the process, but instantly forgot the pain when I sat at the edge of her bed and she wrapped her arms around my neck; my arms tangled around her waist.

We stayed like that for god knows how long. I never wanted to let her go. Her head was burried in my neck and I could feel her breathing in my scent. "I've missed you." She mumbled. I'd missed her so much. Even though I havent declared my love for her yet, it felt like we were a couple. But we weren't. And I don't know if we ever could be. She was in a state at the minute, with her health. I don't want to make things worse somehow by having a relationship with her. But god, I really wanted to.

We let go of each other, although my hand was gently placed on her leg. "How're you feeling, gorgeous?" I smile, rubbing her leg softly.
"Better now." She blushes. "I'm on house arrest for the day."
"It's for the best though." I move a piece of hair away from her face and tuck it behind her ear. "You still have tonight. What're you wearing?"
"I don't know yet. My mum said that she will give me a nice dress that doesn't fit her anymore. What're you wearing?"
"Oh, you know. Just the casual formal dress. Tux, whatever."
"That's not the attitude, is it?" She giggles. "Maybe do something with your hair..." She leans up and ruffles her hands in my hair. I try to squirm away but she insists on messing my blonde locks up even more. I end up grabbing her waist and pulling her over me so she lay flat on the bed. I pinned her arms to the bed and looked into her eyes. I couldn't help it. I kissed her. It wasn't just a first kiss. It was a 'hello, sexy' first kiss. I unpinned her arms and held her waist as I straddled her. My tongue found its way to hers and I felt her moan into my mouth as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Ahem..." I heard a noice from the door way. Sophia threw me of her and I landed with a thumb on the floor. I looked up to find Abi leaning against the door frame, eye brows raised with a huge smile on her face. "Well... didn't want to intrude but Chris we gotta go, we're going shopping then going home to get ready for the party." She went silent and stared at me and Sophia. "You're both adorable." She giggles before exiting the room.

I stand up from the floor and return to my place on the egde of Sophia's bed. She fixes her hair and we don't say anything for a few minutes. "Guess I need to go." I say quietly, glancing at her as she nods. "I'll see you tonight, then." She smiles.

She stands up from the bed and grabs my hand to pull me up. She stands on her tip toes to kiss me softly, but urgently. She stands back and rubs her hands along my biceps. "Go." She smiles.
"Face it, Sophia-Claire Smith, you cannot get enough of me." I wink.
"Shut up, asshole." She giggles and pushes me towards the door. "I'll see you tonight."
"Bye." I give her a peck on the lips, tasting her sweetness once more and ascend the stairs.

Tonight's going to be amazing.

Sorry for the later update, I've had a lot going on recently! Please review! x
