Chapter Twenty-One: Confessions & Guy To Gal
There Matt Olsen was with the others surprised that his parents, Frank & Sharon Olsen, know about everything that he and the others have been doing. But as shocked as he was, he knew that he still had to tell them about what was happening to him.
"So you two know everything?", Matt asked his parents as he sat in a chair that he had set up in front of them.
"Yes we do.", Sharon said with a small smile.
"But how? When?", Matt questioned.
"Well...", Sharon began to explain. "I guess you can say that it all happened during Spring Break this year."
Cornelia was about to say something, when Kadma placed a hand on her shoulder followed by a look that told her to be quite. She also gave Irma the same look. Both girls just sat there and said nothing and let Matt's parents explain things.
"So what happened?", Matt asked as he and the others sat there and listened.
"Well your mother and I had just gotten back from shopping at the store and headed into the kitchen to put the food away when...", Frank Olsen said.
Flashback
"Pass me the bag of canned goods, Dear.", Sharon said to her husband.
"Here you go.", Frank said s he handed a bag of canned food. "I think I'll do a bit of grilling today."
"That's nice.", Sharon said as he was putting the canned food away. "Do you plan on having your friends come over?"
"Yep. You should invite some of your friend as well.", Frank said. "I know Matt will be calling his friends."
"Where is that boy any way?", Frank questioned.
"I think I see him in the backyard with some of his friends.", Sharon said as she spotted Matt sitting in the backyard with Irma, Will, and Angelo.
It was then that it happened. Sharon and Frank saw the four teens jump up followed by Taranee, Cornelia, and Hay Lin suddenly appear from out of no where.
"What in blue blazes?!", Frank questioned. "How did they do that?!"
"I... I... I don't know.", Sharon said still shocked by what she saw.
They then watched as Will took the Heart of Kandrakar and open a fold that they all went through.
"What is that?", Sharon questioned. "And where are they going?!" she questioned as they both ran towards the back door and out into the backyard just as the fold closed. "What the heck just happened?!"
"I don't know, but I plan on finding out.", Frank said.
"And how do you plan on doing that?", Sharon asked.
"Their parents.", Frank figured. "One of them has to know about this."
"And if they don't?", Sharon questioned.
"We'll cross that bridge when we com to it.", Frank said as they went back into the house.
"So I guess the cookout is off, huh?", Sharon questioned with a grin.
"I guess so.", Frank said with a grin of his own. "After what we just saw, I don't think I'll be able to focus on the grill."
"That's okay.", Sharon said with a smile before kissing her husband on the cheek. "We can get some takeout.", she said before they went back to putting the food away.
End Flashback
"Wow!", Matt said calmly letting it all sink in.
"I remember that day.", Taranee said. "Kandrakar had us do that escort mission."
"Oh yeah!", Hay Lin said. "We got those cool medals from the king and queen!", she said with a smile.
"Okay. So you saw us go through a fold.", Matt said to his parents. "How did you learn about everything."
"Well the next day, we decided to learn the truth.", Sharon said. "So we went to the Silver Dragon to talk to the Lin's seeing as we saw their daughter was with you. So we got a table and..."
Flashback
"So how do we do this?", Sharon asked as they were sitting at a table in the corner.
"We just come out and ask them I guess.", Frank said. "It's all I can think of right now."
"I guess you're right.", Sharon said just as a female server came up to them.
"Welcome to the Silver Dragon.", the server said with a smile. "How may I help you today?"
"May we speak with the owners of the restaurant?", Sharon asked.
"Is there something wrong?", the server asked.
"No. No.", Sharon said with a kind smile. "We would just like to say hello."
"Very well.", the server said. "I shall go get one of them.", she said before walking away.
A few minutes later Yan Lin came up to the table.
"Ah! The Olsen's.", Yan Lin said with a kind smile. "How are you this evening?"
"We're... fine.", Sharon said with a nervous smile.
"Is there something wrong?", Yan Lin asked.
Frank and Sharon looked at each other for a few seconds before nodding and turning their attention back to Yan Lin and...
"Yesterday... we saw our son along with your grand-daughter and some of their friends go through a weird thing of light.", Frank said.
"I see.", Yan Lin said. "I figured that this was going to happen sooner or later.", the elder woman said.
"So you know about this?", Frank questioned.
"Yes. But this isn't the place to talk about this.", Yan Lin said. "Come with me.", she said.
And so Frank and Sharon left the Silver Dragon with Yan Lin and headed over to the Vanders' apartment building and headed up to the second floor where Kadma and Joe were sitting in the living room watching TV.
"Hey, Yannie.", Joe said before he noticed Frank and Sharon. "The Olsen's, right?", he asked getting a nod from them. "Welcome to our home. What brings you all here?"
"They saw the kids go through a fold.", Yan Lin said as he sat in a chair and the Olsen's sat on a couch.
"I see.", Kadma said.
"Well this just turned into an interesting afternoon.", Joe said as he turned off the TV.
"So you all know?", Sharon asked.
"Indeed we do.", Joe said. "For we used to do the same thing at their age."
"Can some one explain all of this?", Frank asked.
"Calm down, my friend.", Yan Lin said. "All will be explained."
"But first, we need some tea to calm your nerves.", Kadma said.
"Couldn't agree more.", Yan Lin said as she and Kadma went into the kitchen to make some tea for everyone to drink.
As Joe sat there he saw the worried looks on the Olsen's faces and decided to tell them something to calm their nerves.
"Listen. I know that you two are scared and worried about your son and what he's been doing. But know this.", Joe said he said. "He's has done a lot of good things for a lot of people and other beings. He is a brave young man.", he said which put a smile on Frank and Sharon's faces.
Moments later, Yan Lin and Kadma came back into the living room with some tea, cookies, and things to go with tea if they wanted it. Once they sat down they each got a cup of tea and...
"Now where to begin.", Yan Lin said.
"How about from the beginning.", Frank suggested.
"Very well.", Kadma said after taking a sip of her tea. "This world is not the only world with life on it. There are many worlds with Humans and or other beings on it."
"How many?", Sharon asked.
"More than we know.", Joe said.
"So what does this have to do with our son and his friends?", Frank asked.
"Well...", Yan Lin said ready to give them the whole story.
And so Yan Lin, Kadma, and Joe told the Olsen's all that they knew. From the Guardians, to Kandarkar, and their lives along with the lives Matt and the kids have lived. It was a lot to take in, but the Olsen's got the gist of things.
"So for the lst few years, our son has been helping fight who knows what.", Sharon said after she and her husband were told everything. "That explained why he sometimes comes home tired and hurt sometimes."
"A Regent of Earth, huh?", Frank said. "It's still a lot to take in."
"Your son is a brave young man to take up that mantle.", Yan Lin said. "I know that you're worried about him. I feel the same about my grand-daughter."
"As do we with our grandson.", Joe said. "But we also know that if they weren't meant to do this, they would not of been chosen to do it."
"This includes your son as well.", Kadma said. "He may not of been chosen by Kandrakar, but the Oracle says that Matt was meant to be at the Hales apartment that night for Cornelia to have Lillian unknowingly make him a Regent of Earth."
"Everything happens for a reason.", Joe said.
"I guess you're right.", Frank said.
"So what happens now?", Sharon asked.
"Well you can confront your son and let him know that you now know about him and what he does now.", Yan Lin said.
"I guess so.", Sharon said.
"Wait.", Frank said. "Maybe we shouldn't. Now right away."
"Frank?", Sharon questioned.
"Hear me out, Honey.", Frank said. "Want to tell him that we know about all of this, but not just yet."
"What do you want to do, Frank?", Joe asked.
"I don't want him to know that we know just yet.", Frank said.
"But why?", Sharon asked.
"I want to learn more about this before we confront Matt.", Frank said.
"I see.", Kadma said. "I can understand that."
"I guess that makes sense.", Sharon said. "But is there anyway we can get a weekly report on how things are with pur son?"
"I see no problem with that.", Yan Lin said with a kind smile.
"Then it's settled.", Kadma said. "We'll tell you more about what we kwo while giving you weekly reports about what Matt is going through."
"Thank you.", Frank said.
"Thank you so much for this.", Sharon said with a smile that Yan Lin, Kadma, and Joe returned.
End Flashback
"And so for the last few month, we've been giving Frank and Sharon as much information about what we know as well as giving them a weekly update on what's been going on.", Joe said.
"So you know about Fredes?", Matt asked.
"Yes.", Frank said.
"And about me and Angela.", Clarissa asked.
"Yes.", Sharon said with a kind smile. "I still find it strange that you two young men were turned into girls."
"Well mom, brace yourself. You too dad.", Matt said. "Today we set a trap for Fredes in hopes of at least getting his wand to change Angela and Clarissa back to Angelo and Caleb."
"I take it that it didn't go as planned.", Frank said.
"Not at all.", Matt said.
"Well the good thing is that you all are okay.", Sharon said with a smile as she saw the look on Matt's face. "Matt? What's wrong?"
"Mom. Dad.", Matt said as he looked at his parents. "I got hit by the same beam that change Caleb and Angelo into Clarissa and Clarissa."
"WHAT?!", his parents questioned in shock.
"Fredes was aiming at one of the girls and I just reacted.", Matt explained. "So tomorrow morning, I'm going to be a girl."
"Oh! My poor baby.", Sharon said as she got up and hugged he son.
"I'll be okay, mom?", Matt said returning the hug. "I'll still be me only different."
"Well this will be interesting.", Frank said as he stood up. "But we'll get through it together, son.", he said as he placed a hand on his son's shoulder.
"Thanks, dad.", Matt said with a smile that Frank returned.
Seeing this made the other smile. But Hay Lin soon frowned blaming herself for what happened. Seeing this, Elyon, who was sitting next to her place an arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to her. Hay Lin looked at Elyon who gave her a kind smile letting her know that it would be okay. Hay Lin gave her a small smile as she still felt bad about what happened. As for Irma and Cornelia who were sitting on a loveseat...
"Thinking what I'm thinking?", Irma asked Cornelia in a whisper.
"Major fun and payback?", Cornelia questioned in a whisper.
"Oh yeah!", they both said in a whisper while bumping fist.
Seeing them bump fist was Angela and Clarissa who looked from them to each other and nodded knowing that Irma and Cornelia were up to something and knew they were going to have to be there to watch over Matt until he got use to being a girl like they had to.
"So where do we go from here.", Sharon asked. "I mean besides a whole new wardrobe that is.", she said with as grin getting a small laugh out of some of the others.
"Well you're going to need a new name.", Taranee said.
"And a story to go with it.", Alchemy added.
"How about the same story as me and Angela?", Clarissa suggested.
"What kind of story?", Frank questioned.
"Well I, Angela Starlighter, am one of Angelo Vanders' cousins.", Angela explained.
"And I, Clarissa Diamond, am one of Caleb Hart's cousins.", Clarissa explained.
"That can work.", Sharon said.
"But now I need a name.", Matt said.
"How about Maggie.", Hay Lin suggested.
"Or Martha?", Elyon suggested.
"Or Margret?", Will offered.
"Madeline.", Frank said. "Madeline Olsen."
"I figured you'd say that.", Sharon said with a smile that Frank returned.
"Why Madeline, dad?", Matt asked his father.
"Madeline Olsen was my grandmother and your great-grandmother.", Frank began to explain as he sat down on the couch with Sharon while Matt sat back in the chair he was sitting in. "She was a pistol! Always full of life. When I was around your age, she and Grandpa Tim would take me somewhere with them for part of the Summer. Whether it be somewhere in the US or in another part of the world, we had fun together. Even after Grandpa Tim passed away, Grandma Maddie still took me with her on a Summer trip. She always said that Grandpa Tim was with her in spirit. But soon, she too passed on. I miss them both, but I know that they're watching over me and my family. And that's why I picked Madeline Olsen if you were born a girl while your mother picked Matthew. After her grandfather."
"Wow!", Matt said touched by his father's story. "Then Madeline Olsen it is. Matt Olsen's cousin."
"Maddie for short.", Frank said as he ruffled his son's hair.
"Now that we have that settled, I can call up my buddy ans have him make your new IDs, Social Security Numbers, and other things needed for your new life.", Joe said to Matt. "Cause I have a feeling that it's going to be a while before you catch this Fredes character."
"I was thinking the same thing.", Will said. "Ten to one, he's gone deeper into hiding in the Infinite City and is planning something."
"Question is what?", Elyon said.
"Come with me, you two.", Joe said to Frank and Sharon. "I'm going to need your help with a few things when I call my friend up.", Joe said as they left the living room with his wife, Kadma.
Yan Lin left with them as well leaving the teens to talk among themselves.
"Well this was an eventful day.", Cassidy said.
"Were those Lurdens tough or what?", Clarissa questioned.
"Fredes trained them well.", Angela said. "I mean you knock them down and they get back up. You knock them out and once they come to, they're back up and into the fight."
"It's like they were trained to take a beating and then some.", Will said. "And that can be a problem."
"The Lurdens were already tough and had some fighting knowledge.", Elyon said. "Fredes just took some and made them way better. The soldiers can hold their own against them, but the Lurdens have more endurance in them."
"The soldiers are strong.", Clarissa said. "They'll have each others backs in battle. That's where our true strength lies."
Matt then looked at Elyon who looked a bit upset about things and understood why as he walked up to her.
"So what do you want to do with the last few hours I have left as a guy?", he asked her as he wrapped his arms around her from behind.
"As long as I'm with you, I'm happy.", Elyon said as she turned to face Matt. "Besides. This may bring us closer together like Halinor said it would do for Will and Angela.", she said with a smile that Matt returned.
"Aw, man!", Matt said when something came to him. "Wreck 55! What am I going to do about the guys?!"
"I'm sure we can think of something.", Elyon said. "Don't worry, Sweetie. It'll be okay.", she said before they shared a kiss.
Seeing this didn't make Irma happy, but then an idea came to her as a smirk grew on her face.
"You know, this could be karma for what you two did.", Irma said calmly getting the attention of everyone.
"Say what now?", Matt questioned. "What are you talking about?"
"Well first, you go and let Sondra become a member of Wreck 55 knowing that I didn't like it.", Irma explained. "Then when I came to you and gave you a VERY good reason to kick her out of the band, you go and say no which resulted in me breaking up with you."
"Oh brother.", Will said as she rolled her eyes.
"Then you, Elyon, go get with Matt only after about a week and a half after I broke up with Matt.", Irma continued to explain. "I mean what friend does that?"
"Are you kidding me?", Elyon questioned.
"Well she does have a point.", Cornelia said. "This could be karma paying you both back for what you've done."
"Is that so, young lady?", came Sharon's voice as she walked into the living room with the other adults.
"Uh-oh!", Cassidy said knowing things were about to get good.
"Oh! Hi, Mrs. Olsen.", Irma said with an innocent smile.
"Don't you "Hi Mrs. Olsen." me, young lady!", Sharon said as she walked up to Irma. "I heard everything you just said and let me tell you something. You and Matt not being together is all your doing!"
"But..."
"No buts!", Sharon said as she was face to face with Irma. "I was home the day Sondra and Andrew joined Wreck 55. They're good. And as his girlfriend, at that time, you should have supported him and his band. Taranee and Hay Lin do. So why couldn't you?"
"Because of her past.", Alchemy said. "Which is pretty dumb."
"Yes it is.", Sharon said before looking back at Irma. "Sondra told me about her past and how wrong she was for what she did and how happy she is with Andrew. So you had nothing to worry about, Irma. And that little stunt you pulled with that bikini was just wrong.", she said surprising everyone.
"You were there that day?!", Irma questioned.
"Yes.", Sharon said. "You forget that our garage leads into the kitchen. I overheard you and Matt talking and decided see what was going on. And once I looked through the screen door I saw you take off that trench coat revealing that little bikini. Did you really think that showing off your body like that would get you wanted?", she questioned causing Irma to blush with embarrassment.
"Go, Mom.", Matt said impressed with his mother.
"That's my girl.", Frank said about his wife with a smile.
"You may be angry that you didn't get your way and that my son has moved on to someone else, but I will not stand here and say that the beam he took for one of you was an act of karma for you two not being together.", Sharon said. "If you're not going to be of any help to Matt when he goes through his change, them I suggest that you keep away from him unless it's for your hero duties.", she said. "And the same goes for you as well, young lady.", Sharon said to Cornelia. "Do I make myself clear?", she questioned with a look that said she wasn't playing around.
"Yes, ma'am.", both girls said.
"Good.", Sharon said with a tiring sigh. "Now if you'll excuse me I have to head home and decorate our guest room for Matt when he becomes a girl."
"See you at home son.", Frank said to his son as he patted him on the shoulder. "I have a feeling that you'll be home a bit late."
"Yeah.", Matt said as he and Elyon were holding hands.
"Just be home for dinner.", Sharon said before kissing her son on the cheek. "And you can come over for dinner as well, dear.", she said to Elyon.
"Thank you.", Elyon said with a smile as Matt's parents left.
"How did you like those apples?!", Cassidy asked Irma and Cornelia with a laugh.
"Get bent!", Irma said to Cassidy.
"That's enough!", Yan Lin said. "I had hoped that you two would have been over this whole getting back at your EXs thing, but I see that I was wrong.", she said to Cornelia and Irma. "Why can't you two just get over this and try and be of some use?"
"Yan Lin is right.", Kadma said. "I know friends fight sometimes, but this is getting old."
"You're telling me.", Will said.
"From what I've been told you, Cornelia, are upset because when you thought the girls would be on your side when Caleb broke up with you yet only Irma jumped to your side.", Kadma said. "And you Irma are angry because Matt didn't get rid this Sondra girl because you don't like her due to her past actions. Am I correct?"
"Dang straight!", Irma said before looking at her fellow Guardians. "I thought we were a team that had each other's backs!"
"And yet, none of you were there for me or Irma!", Cornelia said.
"Well you did send Caleb flying into a tree.", Hay Lin said to Cornelia.
"And I'm sorry about that!", Cornelia said. "Geez! It's not like I was trying to kill him!"
"But yet and still he goes and breaks up poor Cornelia instead of trying to talk things out.", Irma said.
"Being knocked into a tree was the final straw.", Clarissa said. "I was just tired of the whining, and complaining about things not going your way, Cornelia. I got tired of your demanding attitude and your little temper tantrums and the way you acted sometimes. One can only take so much you know."
"Well you know what?", Cornelia questioned as she glared at Clarissa. "I can do better than you! Much better!"
"And I can do much better than you, Olsen!", Irma snapped at Matt. "So you and Elyon can go and enjoy each other. At least what little time you have left before you change that is.", she said with a smirk.
"That's going to far, Irma!", Hay Lin said to Irma. "You know that if you and Matt were still together, you'd be feeling the same way Elyon is feeling right now."
"She knows she would.", Angela said.
"And yet, I'm not with him.", Irma said as if she didn't care. "So I could care less. Such a shame though. How will good old Wreck 55 get by without their lead singer? Oh well! Sucks to be you! Guess you should have thought twice about taking that hit, huh?"
"So you're saying that I should have just let Hay Lin get hit by the wand's beam?", Matt questioned.
"Irma?", Hay Lin questioned her best friend feeling hurt.
"That's not what I'm saying!", Irma snapped. "Quit trying to put words in my mouth. Matt!"
"But you just said that Matt should have thought twice about taking that hit for Hay Lin.", Clarissa said. "Sounds like you wanted her to get hit by it, if you ask me."
"Now that's messed up.", Alchemy said. "Poor Hay Lin would have to adjust to being a guy and everything. We'd have to tell her parents everything and poor Eric would be wondering where she is before we have to go and tell him everything."
"And ten to one, you'd try to get Hay Lin to pose as your new boyfriend.", Angela said. "That's just wrong, Lair! Just plain wrong!"
"Now just a minute!", Irma yelled. "I never said I wanted Hay-Hay to be turned into a guy!"
"No. You just ran off at the mouth before thinking.", Taranee said.
"Let's get to the point.", Kadma said getting everyone's attention. "Will you two finally stop your nonsense and actually be of some help to Angela, Clarissa, and Matt after he changes?", she asked Cornelia and Irma.
Cornelia and Irma said nothing as they turned their heads away from Kadma.
"Very well then.", Kadma said. "Then until you two come to your senses and see how foolish you've been acting, neither of you are welcome here."
"WHAT?!", both girls questioned in surprise.
"You heard me.", Kadma said. "Now leave!", she said as she pointed at the door that led to the steps that went down to the first floor of the building.
"Wow.", Angela said surprised by her grandmother.
"You... You... You can't do this!", Cornelia said.
"Yes. I can. This is my home.", Kadma said. "Now get going!"
Irma and Cornelia said nothing as they exited through the door and left the building. Both girls were angry that none of their fellow Guardians left with them. They promised themselves that they would have words with them tomorrow.
"Go, Kaddie!", Cassidy said to her old friend.
"It had to be done.", Kadma said as she sat on one of the couches with Joe. "Maybe this will show them that they need to make a change."
"Maybe.", Yan Lin said. "With those two, you never know."
"We'll try and talk to them tomorrow.", Will said.
"Well we have little time to be alone together and we plan on making use of what little time we have left.", Matt said as he and Elyon held hands. "And I know just what I want to do. Later.", he said as he teleported with Elyon in tow.
"This sucks.", Alchemy said as she and the others sat down some where. "Just when they get together this goes and happens."
"They'll be okay.", Joe said. "It's moments like this that test one's relationship. Some become stronger from it while others just fall apart. Only time will tell."
"Well I have to get back to the Silver Dragon.", Yan Lin said. "It's almost time for me to do some hosting.", the former Air Guardian said with a smile as she left.
"This is turning out to be one weird Summer.", Alchemy said.
"I know.", Taranee said. "And it's only June."
"Well don't forget about the PTA car wash fundraiser the school is having next month.", Cassidy replied. "I heard that last years went really well."
"That's because the students running it had parents who ran major businesses.", Will said. "Businesses in which the employees were told to go to the car wash to make their kids look good."
"And this year, Knickerbocker asked us to run th car wash.", Taranee said.
"Well how about we do something that'll get us people coming.", Clarissa said.
"And that would be what?", Hay Lin questioned.
"I have no idea.", Clarissa said. "But I'm sure we can think of something."
It was then that Taranee saw that Hay Lin was sitting on a couch looking down.
"You okay, Hay Lin?", Taranee asked.
"No.", Hay Lin said in a sad tone. "If I was paying attention during the battle, Fredes wouldn't have gotten the jump on me and Matt wouldn't be turning into a girl."
"It'll be okay, Hay Lin.", Will said as she sat next to Hay Lin and hugged her. "Everything will workout in the end. And you don't see Matt or Elyon being angry at you. So don't go putting yourself down about this. Okay?"
"Okay.", Hay Lin said as she got up and headed for the door. "I'm going to head on home now. See you guys later."
Alchemy was about to go after Hay Lin when Angela placed a hand on her shoulder stopping her. She looked back at Angela who shook her head.
"She needs to be alone right now.", Angela said.
"Angela's right.", Kadma said. "Hay Lin blames herself for what happened. And no matter what you say, she'll still blame herself."
"So what can we do for her?", Taranee asked.
"It's not what YOU can do for her.", Joe said. "It's what someone else can do for her."
"Someone else.", Alchemy questioned. "Who?"
"Relax, Al.", Cassidy said. "I think I know where Kaddie and Joe-Joe are getting at."
"Good. Cause I'm totally confused here.", Alchemy said. "I just hope that Hay Lin will be okay."
"We all do.", Will said feeling worried about her friend.
As for Hay Lin, she was now home and in her bedroom. She then lays on her bed and looks up at the ceiling of her bedroom replaying the events that led up to what happened to Matt. All it did was add to the guilt she felt already. It was then that she curled up and cried to herself. Now in another part of Heatherfield, Matt and Elyon were at the park sitting under a tree together looking at the sunset. Matt was sitting against a tree while holding Elyon, who was sitting in front of him, close to him. Neither said anything as they were simply enjoying their time together in the peace and quite the park gave them. They didn't think about what Irma and Cornelia had said earlier. Nor did they think about what the two girls may try and do to them in the future. They just wanted to enjoy what time they had left before Matt would be gone and Maddie would take his place. For they knew that they wouldn't have a moment like this for a long time. Once the Sun had set, they then headed for Matt's home hand in hand to have dinner together with his parents. Once there, Sharon had dinner ready for the four of them. Once they arrived, they freshened up and sat together at the table and said grace and began to eat and talk.
"So if you don't mind me asking, how long have you two been together?", Sharon asked Matt and Elyon.
"About two weeks.", Elyon said.
"I can see how happy you two are.", Frank said to Matt and Elyon.
"Yeah. We are.", Matt said as he smiled at Elyon who returned the smile. "It sucks that this is happening though."
"Yeah.", Elyon said.
"It'll be okay.", Frank said. "See this like a test of your relationship. Can you stand being away from each other when you're so close to each other."
"That really sounds weird, Dad.", Matt said.
"It may sound weird, but in time you'll get it.", Frank said. "Now tomorrow, you'll be moving into the guest room that your mother is working on."
"We just need to get a few more things to make it more for a girl.", Sharon said.
"We?", Matt questioned.
"Yes. We.", Sharon said. "It will be your room. So you need to decide what you want in there. Elyon can help you."
"Sure.", Elyon said with a smile. "It could be fun."
"Plus, you'll be needing some new clothes.", Sharon said.
"Oh joy.", Matt said remembering what Angela and Clarissa went through when they had to do some shopping.
"It'll be okay, son.", Frank said. "You have some great friends that I'm sure will be there for you."
"Speaking of which, I think we need to talk to Hay Lin the first chance we get.", Elyon said.
"Hay Lin?", Sharon questioned. "Yan Lin's grand-daughter? Is something wrong with her?"
"Mom, she's the one I took the hit for.", Matt said.
"Oh.", Sharon said.
"She had saved a little boy and his puppy from getting hit by an energy attack to which Fredes took advantage of and hit her in the back.", Matt explained.
"Let me guess what happened next.", Frank said. "This Fredes character fired the beam that would have turned Hay Lin into a guy only you took the hit instead."
"Yeah.", Matt said.
"And the poor dear must feel bad about it.", Sharon said.
"Yeah.", Elyon said sadly. "I tried to tell her that it wasn't her fault. And I know the others have tried as well, but..."
"You think she still blames herself.", Sharon said. "Let me talk to her. I may only know so much about all of this other world stuff, but I think this is something I can handle."
"Thanks, mom.", Matt said with a smile that his mother returned before they went back to eating their dinner.
After dinner that was followed by some apple pie for desert, the four of them talked about some the adventures Matt and Elyon had with the others. Which led to Matt and Mr. Huggles, his pet dormiuse, into transforming into their Regent forms which really surprised Frank and Sharon. But they calmed down after accepting it all. Soon it was getting late and Elyon had to return to Metamoor to take care of some things. Which meant that she would be there for Matt when he woke up the next day. She didn't like it, but she knew that she had her duties as queen to attend to. So after saying goodnight to Frank and Sharon and promising them a tour of her palace in the near future, Elyon was ready to go. To which Matt insisted on walking her to her house so they could spend a bit more time together. It was a quite walk to her house as they held hands. But for them, it was enough. But all good things must come to an end as they were now standing at the door to her home.
"So I guess I won't seeing you for a while, huh.", Matt said as they held hands.
"Yeah. In more ways than one.", she said as they both shared a good laugh. "But it may be kind of fun with you as a girl.
"How so?", Matt questioned.
"Well... we can go shopping together. And even get matching outfits and stuff.", Elyon said with a smile. "We can even go to thr salon together and get our hair done as well as a manicure and a pedicure. We can even go to the spa sometime and..."
"Easy, Elyon.", Matt said with as grin. "I get it. You're trying to look on the bright side of all of this. Will and Angela are doing the same thing. But they also know that it's okay to be upset as well. So don't hold back okay?"
"Sorry.", Elyon said with a sigh.
"Don't be.", Matt said. "We'll get through this. I know we can."
"I do, too.", Elyon said. "I guess I'll see you in a few days."
"Yeah.", Matt said. "Only I'll be Maddie then."
"Then let me say this..", Elyon said with a smile as she wrapped her arms around Matt's neck. "Thank you for everything, Matt Olsen. I look forward to seeing you again soon."
"As do I, Elyon Brown.", Matt said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around Elyon's waist. "As do I.", he said before they shared a kiss they wish could last longer.
But they know that they had to end it for they had to get some rest. For they both had a long day ahead of them. So with a heavy heart, Matt walked down the walk way of the Brown's yard and stopped and turned to wave as Elyon one last time before heading home to get some sleep. As for Elyon, once in her home, she opened a fold for Metamoor that led to her chambers and laid on her bed a cried. She did her best to hold back the tears when she was with Matt but now she just couldn't hold back anymore. She just cried knowing that it would be a long time before she would be with Matt again. Back on Earth, Matt had gotten home and got ready for bed wearing only a pair of sleeping pants. As he laid in his bed, he began to think about how much of a change he was in for.
"This is going to be so weird.", he said as he drifted off to sleep.
Soon morning came and Matt slowly woke up thanks to the rays of light that hit his face. Grumbling to himself, he sat up in his bed with a strange feeling in his chest. like it weighed more. But he simply blew it off as he went to take a shower. As for Mr. Huggles, Matt's pet dormouse, he took a double take as he saw Matt walk by. He wasn't for sure why but he knew wit was Matt by his scent. As for Matt once in the bathroom, he walked past the mirror only to step back and stare at his reflection.
Or should I say HER reflection.
For standing in the place of one Matt Olsen, as now a topless sixteen-year-old girl with green eyes and long black hair that went down to the center of her back. Matt looked down at herself and saw that she now had breast and that her hands and feet were smaller than they normally were. She then reached into her sleeping pants to find that she was all woman.
"Whoa!", Matt said only to grab her throat surprised by her new voice. "Okay then.", she said when the events of yesterday all came back. "I guess it's happened then."
Matt then looked at her reflection with a sigh knowing that things were going to be different from now on. For Matt Olsen was gone for now. And her life as Madeline Olsen has just begun. So with a sigh followed by a deep breath she looked at her reflection and...
"So long, Matt Olsen. And Hello, Maddie Olsen."
A/N: And that folks makes three guys to gals! Talk about a bummer! But at least Matt and Elyon got to spend some time together before he changed. But now, Matt or should I say Maddie has to get use to being a girl. Good thing he had the others to help along with his mother. Which brings up the question about what she say to Hay Lin. Can she really help our little Air Guardian feel better? Guess you'll have to wait and see. Not to mention what Cornelia and Irma have to say to the others. Not to mention what the others have to say to them. That should be interesting! The next chapter looks promising. Doesn't it?
