AN - Quick update this and then off out for a friends birthday :) Enjoy x
I slowly stretch out my arms and let out a yawn, it felt so great to be able to spend the whole night it Tom's arms again without having to worry about waking him up with the boys. I yawn and stretch once more before Tom walks in with just a towel around his waist.
"Morning beautiful" Tom said smiling and walking over before sitting on the edge of the bed.
"Morning, how long have you been up?" I asked sitting up.
"About 20 minutes, you looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you" Tom said stroking my hair.
"Thanks it was nice to wake up by myself for a change" I said and Tom smiled getting up and getting dressed.
"What would you like for breakfast?" Tom said pulling his t-shirt over his hair.
"Paracetamol would be nice" I said rubbing my head.
"Too much wine?" Tom asked smirking. I just rolled my eyes and got out of bed.
"I'll be downstairs babe" He said as I went into the kitchen, it was only 7:00 but Dad, Tom and Zoe all started at 8 so we had to get ready as I would be collecting the twins from them at the ED as Sarah and Jack where taking Amelia out for the day.
I went and had a shower before getting dressed in a pair of black and white floral leggings and a black oversized t-shirt before heading downstairs where Tom had a glass of apple juice and a Paracetamol on the side I just smiled, took the Paracetamol and went into the other room where he was eating a fruit salad, I walked in a took a seat next to him sitting cross legged facing him and starting to rob his fruit, He just smiled and then handed the bowl over to me.
"You have the rest, I already had loads" He added stabbing a strawberry with his fork and then feeding it to me before handing over the fork.
He then got up and headed off towards the kitchen not long after returning with two cups of coffee.
"Thanks babe, the fruit salad was amazing" I told him picking up the coffee and placing the empty bowl down.
"Glad you enjoyed it" Tom said getting up and putting on the news.
~Breaking News~
There has been a major road accident involving 4 vehicles on the main road leading towards the docks that comes off the M23 so please avoid the area if possible, Emergency services are on their way.
Just in, here are some shoots from above.
"Tom that's terrible we need to go and help we are some much closer than Holby or any other hospital" I tell him looking at the horrific scene of an over turned bus on its side, and 3 other cars crushed and pushed out of the way.
"I'll go but Sam you're not meant to be working" Tom said.
"It's not like I'm ill or anything its maternity leave and if I had the twins here I wouldn't go but they are with Dad so come on" I said running towards the front door and putting on an old pair of white converses and then picking up my Doctors ID and putting around my neck and Tom did the same one he put on a pair of old trainers and we jumped into the old car and drove up the road as far as we could before the police stopped us so we cut the ignition and climbed out showing him our ID and explaining that we only lived around the corner and saw it on the news so came out to help them and he nodded letting us go in to the scene, Tom ran straight over to the only car with anyone left in as the others had climb out of their cars and where trying to help the people on the bus, so I ran over to them.
"I'm Dr Nicholls, from Holby city ED and I need to get access into this bus now, to treat any children, elderly or the disabled and then I will treat the rest of you so anyone who can walk please can you climbed out of the bus I will help you and then go and stand over there by the bank" I instructed and ran over to Tom taking his jacket and going back before placing it over the broken glass. I then climbed up and helped all of the walking wounded out of the bus and they slowly made their way over to the bank.
