(Cynder's POV)

"Yes, Cynder? Do you need something?" I stood still at the sound of Terrador's voice, not knowing where to start. I could just blurt it all out, get it all over with, but it had to make sense.

"Well, you see, ah..."

"Cynder? Is everything okay?"

It seemed to all come out at once. "Spyro has been having some nightmares lately, and they've gotten really bad and happen often and... and... I-I'm worried about him."

The guardians looked concerned. "Do you have any idea what they were about?" Volteer broke the silence, which was expected with his talkativeness.

I slowly began to speak, trying to remember at all what he had told me. "Well... I recall him telling me that there was some dragon in the dream... he had the same scale color... and was basically exposing Spyro to his worst fears, some of them even being memories of his evil past... at one point he passed out right on the streets of Dragon City, and began to cry out while he was unconscious."

By now, all four guardian's faces were covered in recognition and fear, as they seemed to know what this was about.

Without uttering a word to me, they turned into a sports-like huddle and began whispering stuff, sometimes taking a quick glance at me. Before I had a chance to ask them what they were talking about, they had already disbanded. Ignitus turned to me, and said, "Go wake Spyro up. We have to go. Now."

Terrador turned to Ignitus, and said, "But how can we be sure it's really him? How do we know it's not just his past coming back to-"

"It's him. This isn't just his past coming back to haunt him. If it's bad enough that he's having nightmares after passing out, it's definitely him. For all we know, that could've been a summoning." He turned back to me. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go wake him up!" He looked stressed, and I decided to listen to him, seeing as he couldn't really deal with me disobeying him right now.

I quickly headed to Spyro's room, and attempted to nudge open the door. It wouldn't open, meaning it was locked. I used my shadow element to get under the door and into Spyro's room. Once there, I undid the lock with my muzzle and nudged the door open, allowing light in. I headed over to his bed. Luckily, he didn't appear to be having a nightmare at the moment. I nudged him, and said in a soft, but firm tone, "Spyro, you need to get up. We need to go." His breathing shifted, which meant he was awake, but didn't do anything else. I gripped the blankets that were covering him in my teeth, and pulled them off. He let out a forced groan, mixed with a "What..."

"We need to go, guardian's orders. It seems urgent. C'mon, I'm sure they'll explain on the way."

"Mrrgh..." He let out another groan and began to get up. As he did, I noticed the hole in his wing had miraculously healed somehow, even if it wasn't a pretty sight. That explained how he had flown with me those few times.

He successfully got up, his wings drooping and touching the floor and bags under his eyes. I had to practically drag him out the door.

The guardians had finished getting ready and were waiting for us at the exit, eager* to go. (*Only one reader knows where I took that word from... hehe)

"Spyro," I whispered in his ear, "Wake up."

"Well why don't you try falling asleep and being woken up a few minutes later! What's this about, anyway?" He was a little cranky in his reply, but I didn't care.

I hesitated to speak, seeing as he was already a bit upset.

"I... I was worried about you, Spyro. I couldn't stand to see you like this anymore. I-I told them, and I had expected them to maybe talk to you tomorrow or something. To be honest, I have no idea why they suddenly want us to leave." He didn't really reply, just nodded his head and yawned.

"Are you two ready to go?" Ignitus's sudden speach startled both of us. "Listen, I know you're both confused. I'll do my best to explain on the way, but now I'm a bit stressed, as we need to leave as soon as possible. You should have told me earlier, Cynder. There's no need to fear us, as we will always try our best to help you. But you need to tell us these kinds of things."

Still confused as to why this was such a serious matter, I followed the four adult dragons out the window, Spyro yawning as he took off behind me.
