Always Getting Over You:

Before Sunset:

Rhea POV:

"So, you just walked away from him?!" Rebekah asked me incredulously as she stared at me with wide cerulean blue eyes and I bent down to pick up some of the streamers that were on the gymnasium floor. My sister and I were cleaning up after the decade dance the night before and I was filling Rebekah in on everything that happened since she was unconscious thanks to our mother's meddling. Understandably, she was not very happy that she wasn't able to attend the dance that she had helped plan nor was she very supportive of my interactions with a certain Salvatore.

"That's right." I confirmed calmly as I threw the streamers in the large black garbage bag that was in my hand with a small smile in her direction and she scoffed loudly me as she shook her head rapidly from side to side so that her blonde hair flew wildly around her. "Stefan loves Elena. He said so himself. Why should I continue to put myself in a position to get hurt?"

"I hate it when you're so reasonable." She commented under her breath as she bend down to pick up some plastic cups from the floor and I chuckled lightly at her as I threw a cup at her in reprimand.

"It's not like it matters anyway. We're leaving with Nik, right? We can start a new life somewhere. Maybe we can go back to New Orleans. Our family was once happy there." I reminded her with a wistful smile as I paused in my pursuit of cleaning up and she gave me a disbelieving look over her shoulder so I held up a hand in mock surrender. "Okay, expect for all the daggering and boyfriend killing and leaving. But to be fair, Bekah, Emil? Really?"

"It wasn't your boyfriend Nik killed. You know, you're lucky that he hasn't ripped Stefan's heart out yet." Rebekah said to me carelessly as she threw some more empty red cups in her garbage bag and I offered her an innocent smile as I crouched down to grab some more streamers.

"Yes, well, I have better taste in men than you." I teased her lightly as I threw the paper in the garbage bag in my hand and Rebekah threw an empty plastic cup at me in retaliation. "Hey!"

"Shut up. I'm not sure Niklaus is a very good character reference to have for a boyfriend." She replied tauntingly as she smirked at me over her shoulder and I stuck my tongue out at her childishly as I placed some cups in the trash bag. "Anyway, I think you should stay here."

"And why is that, dearest sister?" I asked her with a smile as turned to face her with my hands on my hips and she spun around to face my with a stern expression on her pretty face.

"Because you love Stefan! And despite what Stefan says, he loves you too." Rebekah told me passionately as she dropped her trash bag on the ground at her feet and took a few steps in my direction as I sighed at her in exhaustion because I was tired of talking about this with her. "You deserve to be happy and Stefan can make that happen. Think about it, Rhea! Even Nik likes him, so you finally have a chance to have a proper relationship."

"He. Loves. Elena." I told her as I enunciated each word slowly as though she was a small child who didn't understand and she threw me a blank look as stared at me until I sighed in defeat. "I just want him to be happy, Rebekah. If Elena can make him happy, than they have my blessing."

"You should fight for him!"

"How? How, Rebekah? I told him how I felt, I kissed him. What more do you want me to do?" I asked her helplessly as I dropped the garbage bag I was holding on the ground and Rebekah stared at me silently for a moment as she considered my question.

"You could kill the doppelgänger bitch." She suggested evenly as she shrugged her shoulders delicately and I laughed lightly as I shook my head at her. Rebekah gave me a small smile as she picked up her trash bag from the floor and started to continue picking up empty plastic cups.

"Hello?" I heard a familiar female voice called out from the hallway and I saw Rebekah scowl at the sound of Caroline's voice as I turned towards the heavy double doors where her voice came from. I smiled as the doors opened loudly and the young blonde vampire came strolling into the gymnasium with a sunny smile on her pretty face.

"Good morning, petite luciole." I greeted her warmly as she walked further into the room and she smiled at me in return when her blue-greenish gaze landed on me.

"Morning." She greeted me in return as she glanced around the gym in distaste and Rebekah glared at her spitefully as she continued to clean up the mess on the floor. "Where's Matt?"

"He bailed. Got called into work at the last minute. I managed to turn up on time and I didn't even get to attend the dance that I organized." Rebekah said bitterly as she tied the black garbage bag in a knot so nothing fell out before she strolled passed Caroline on her way to the double doors and I rolled my eyes at her melodramatics.

"I'm sorry about your mom. I mean I know you like, hated her and everything, but still… I'm sorry." Caroline said to Rebekah back in a sincere voice and I smiled slightly when Rebekah froze where she was before turned on her heel to look at the other blonde almost sceptically. My sister glanced at me over Caroline's shoulder and I gave her an encouraging smile as I picked up some empty cups from the floor.

"I'm sorry about your teacher. He seemed like a nice guy." Rebekah told her softly as she inclined her head a little and Caroline smiled at her slightly as she nodded back at my sister.

"Yeah. He was."

"I'll be back." Rebekah told us as she held up the trash bag to emphasis her point and I nodded at her in acknowledgement as Caroline waved a hand dismissively in the air before Rebekah strolled out of the double doors without a backwards glance.

"She's so passive aggressive." Caroline muttered to herself as she shook her head at my sisters retreating back and I laughed out loud at the understatement as I tied the top of the trash bag in my hand in a knot. The blonde turned on her heel as she bent down to pick up a few empty plastic cups from the floor and I grabbed another empty black trash bag from the table next to me. "So, um…"

"What's up, sweetness?" I asked her in concern when she hesitated as I turned my head to look over my shoulder at her and saw the wary expression on her pretty face as she nibbled gently on her lower lip while evading my gaze.

"Klaus, he mentioned, last night at the dance, that you guys were leaving." She stuttered quietly as she collected a handful of streamers from the ground and I could hear the sadness in her normally perky voice as she spoke. I glanced over my shoulder at her with a concerned frown before I dropped the bag on the table and slowly strolled across the gymnasium until I was standing next to her. Caroline looked up at me from where she was crouched on the ground and she slowly stood up to her full height with tears forming in her blue eyes.

"Hey…" I uttered softly as I grabbed her hand in one of mine with a frown and her lower lip trembled as a few tears escaped her eyes before she pulled me into a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around her as she cried into my shoulder and I soothed down her wavy blonde hair as I cooed comforting nonsense into her ear. "What's going on, petite luciole?"

"I'm sorry." She whispered with a watery laugh as she pulled away from me and I smiled slightly at her as I lifted my hand wipe her cheeks clear of the tears that had fallen. I hummed in acknowledgement to her apology as I tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear and gave her an expectant look as I waited patiently. Caroline looked at me cautiously for a second before she sighed dramatically and she slouched her shoulders in defeat as I held her hands in comfort. "It's just that I'm going to miss you. After everything that's happened in the last year, it feels good to have someone care about me. Not that Elena, Bonnie, Matt, Tyler and everyone don't care about me but it's nice to be put first for once. All my friends are running around making sure that Elena is safe, and I'm fine with that because I love her. She's my best friend and I want her to be safe but I've spent my entire life competing with her. I was even turned into a vampire because of her. Not that I'm complaining about that either, because I'm much better off as a vampire but still!"

"Caroline!" I interrupted loudly when she finally paused in her rant to take a breath and she froze where she was as she looked at me in surprise with wide blue eyes. I smiled at her reassuringly as I moved my hands up and down her arms in comfort and she took another breath as she calmed down. I bit my lower lip nervously as my gaze darted over her pretty face before I finally took a deep breath and nodded my head once in decision. "Come with us."

"What?" she sputtered almost incoherently as she took a step backwards with wide eyes and my hands dropped to my sides as she ran a hand through her messy blonde hair.

"Come with us." I repeated softly as I stepped forward and grabbed her hands in mine as I stared at her imploringly. "Mystic Falls isn't good for you anymore. You've outgrown it. Your mother would understand why you wanted to leave and how long can you stay here anyway before people start to notice that you never age? You would be with people who love you, and Rebekah. We could show you the world, Caroline. Anything you want to see. Name it. We could sip margarita's on a white sand beach in Spain or go to fashion week in Milan."

"Rhea…"

"Come on, Care! London, Rome, Paris, Bali, Sydney, Tokyo. Monaco, I know how much you love Princess Grace. Name a place and I'll take you there. Just think about it, okay?" I begged her persistently as I squeezed her hands in mine and she got a dreamy look in her blue eyes before she shook her head to clear it. Tears slipped down her cheeks as she tilted her head to the side sadly and I smiled at her sadly as I let go of her hands after squeezing them one more time. I pressed a chaste kiss to her cheek before I walked over to the table and grabbed the full trash bag from the ground before strolling out the double doors without looking back at Caroline. I walked out of the gymnasium with my lips pursed together and into the empty hallway as my heels clicked on the tiled floor underneath my feet. I smiled to myself sadly as I walked towards the front of the school so that I could threw out the trash bag in my hand but froze where I was when I saw a familiar man standing in the middle of the hallway in front of me. I felt my eyes go wide with panic as I stared at the man I though must have been a ghost and his lips curved up into a smirk at my fright. "You're supposed to be dead." I pointed out quietly as stepped backwards once and I let the trash bag fall out of the my hand so that it landed on the floor at my feet.

"I am." Alaric agreed calmly with his smirk still in place and I stepped back once more before I turned on my heel in an effort to run away but Alaric suddenly appeared in front of me. I gasped in disbelief at how he could have gotten there faster than me and he gripped the tops of my arms in his hands before he threw me into the lockers. I grimaced in pain as I slammed into the metal lockers but I quickly looked up to see him standing over me with the white oak stake in his hand. I felt tears welling in my eyes as I stared up at the ex-hunter for any sigh of the man everyone in Mystic Falls seemed to love but all I could see was hatred in his hazel eyes. Sudden, a flash of blonde hair pushed Alaric off of me and pinned him up against the lockers across the hallway so I quickly took the stake from where it fell on the floor before stabbing him in the stomach. He grimaced in pain as I took a step back from him and Caroline glanced at me to make sure I was okay before following my lead. I nodded my head towards the exit and we both ran at vampire speed out of the school. I grabbed Caroline's hand in mine as we ran towards where her car was parked in the car park of the school and we came to a stop next to the car as she pulled her cars out of her pocket. I looked around the area to make sure the coast was clear as she turned the key in the lock and then glanced back at her as she went to open the door. I felt warm skin touch my neck suddenly and I looked into the reflection of the car window to see Alaric smirk at me before a sharp pain erupted in my neck.

Elena POV:

I was standing in Alaric's old room with a paint brush in my hand when my cell phone rang off to the side of the room and I frowned in confusion before I walked over to where it was laying. I picked up the phone cautiously and looked at the caller ID before scowling at the object. I flipped the phone open as I shook my head in disgust and held the phone up to my ear.

"Whoever this is, it's not funny." I said in greeting to whoever was on the other end of the call as I crossed my arm over my stomach and glanced at the door to make sure no one walked into the room.

"Well, who else would it be?" I heard Alaric say through the phone line and I froze where I was at the sound of my deceased guardian's voice. "Listen closely, I'm at the school, I have Caroline and Rheanna, and if you want to keep them alive, I need you to get in your car and come down here right away. If you tell anyone where you are going, I will kill them." He told me sinisterly before he hung up without another word and my mouth popped open in disbelief. I lowered the phone from my ear and stared at it incomprehensibly before I bit my lower lip nervously.

Caroline POV:

I tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall as I stared at the blackboard at the front of the classroom. Rhea sat at the desk next to me with wooden pencils pierced into her hands just like me and a cloth dipped in vervain stuffed in her mouth so that she couldn't talk. I had a similar cloth in my mouth and the vervain burned my skin like acid. I murmured in pain behind the material and Rhea glanced at me from her seat. Her honey coloured hair was mussed from fighting with Alaric earlier and see had tears streaming apologetically down her cheeks. I looked back at her and I could read the pain in her oak brown eyes as she stared back at me reassuringly. I felt something bump my ankle so I looked down to see Rhea's foot resting next to mine and I felt hot tears pour out of my eyes at the small assurance that I wasn't alone. I heard footsteps coming from the hallway so I turned my attention towards the door in time to see Elena appearing in the door way to the classroom.

"Caroline." Elena said relief as she stared at me and I felt myself stiffen now that she was in danger as well. Elena's dark brown eyes flickered over to Rhea for a second before so turned her glare on Alaric who was sitting lazily at his desk. "Let her go, Alaric!"

"Free her yourself." He said calmly as he pointed the white oak stake at me and Elena stared at him for a moment before she cautiously walked over to where I was pinned down on my seat. She crouched down next to me and gently stroked my arm soothingly as she gazed up at me with large doe eyes. She hesitated with her hand on my arm before she started to gently pull on of the pencil from my hand and I bit down on my tongue to stop from crying out in pain. Alaric suddenly appeared in front of my seat and slammed the pencil back down into my hand. I screamed in agony as pain spread through my whole arm and Elena stood up angrily as she glared at the newest Original.

"You said that you would let her go!" Elena yelled at him furiously as she curled her hands into fists at her side and I sobbed in pain as I looked down at my knees. I felt Rhea's foot bump into my ankle again and I tried to take a deep breath to calm myself down.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Elena? Stop trusting vampires!"

3rd Person POV:

Niklaus stood on the porch of the Gilbert house with a propane tank in one hand and a rolled up newspaper in the other. He smirked to himself as he stepped up to the front door with the sole intention of collecting the doppelgänger and leaving Mystic Falls behind with his sisters by his side just like it had always been. Before he could knock on the door, it opened to reveal Stefan Salvatore with a solemn look on his handsome face and he looked down at the gas tank in the hybrids hands with a sigh. Stefan shook his head at his old friend both stepping out onto the porch with Klaus and the hybrid quirked an eyebrow at the younger vampire.

"Elena's not here. Alaric has her, Rheanna and Caroline at the school and he's gonna kill them all unless you turn yourself over to him." Stefan explained quickly in an emotionlessness voice even though he was panicking on the inside because he cared about all of the girls that were captured. Klaus stared at the green eyed vampire in front of him before he bit back a groan and threw the newspaper on the porch next the propane tank.

"Now, I know you're not asking me to walk into a certain death." Klaus joked in a hard voice as he scowled at the youngest Salvatore and Stefan rolled his eyes subtly at the hybrid as he stepped further out on to the porch.

"I really wish we could. But unfortunately, if Alaric kills you there's a one in four chance that we die too."

"I'll take those odds." Damon said calmly as he lazily strolled out of the house to stand next to his brother and Stefan spared his older brother a glance as he came to a stop next to him.

"Why don't we just figure out a way to put Alaric down?" Stefan suggested as he walked pass the hybrid to lean against one of the pillars holding up the porch and Klaus pursed his lips in thought as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Okay, how about Damon sneaks in and distracts Alaric, while Stefan grabs Elena and carries her to safety?" Klaus suggested calmly as he smiled charmingly and spread his arms out like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Huh, that's a great idea. What's to stop me from getting killed instantly?" Damon asked sarcastically as he scowled at the hybrid and Stefan rolled his green eyes at the two of them as he internally worried about the three girls. "Caroline's in there. Don't you have a thing for her? Or did she just reject you too many times? And what about your sister?"

"This isn't really helping!" Stefan shouted angrily at the mention of Rheanna and both the other men on the porch froze where they were to stare at him. Klaus quirked an eyebrow with a knowing smirk on his lips while Damon furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at his baby brother's outburst. Bonnie crept out of the house as all three men turned to stare at her with hopeful gazes and she sighed slightly as she looked at all of them.

"I might have an idea. My mom used a desiccation spell on Mikael that immobilized him for over 15 years. If I can get it, I might be able to use it on Alaric." Bonnie told them slowly as she turned her attention to the youngest Salvatore because he was the only one out of the three that she even remotely trusted.

"If and might? Your words inspire such confidence. My sister is in there, witch. Isn't there some witch solidary oath?" Klaus asked her spitefully as he took a threatening step closer to her and she turned to hazel glared onto him as she ignored the swell of guilt because she forgot that Rhea used to be a witch.

"I'll get it. But even with the spell, we'll need a lot of vampire muscle to take him down. Including yours." She told him calmly in a hard voice as she inclined her head slightly in defiance and Klaus glowered at her for a moment before he turned around to face the Salvatore's.

"Just so we're clear, the sun sets in about eight hours. If we don't succeed before then, Elena will be dead, I'll get my sister and we'll be gone, and the rest of you will be left to fend for yourselves."

Rhea POV:

I watched with tear filled eyes as Alaric dipped a white cloth that was in my mouth into a beaker of liquefied vervain and I moaned a little when I accidently bit my lower lip where it was slowly healing thanks to the vervain burn. I heard Caroline's deep breathing coming from the seat next to me but I refused to look at her because I didn't want to see her pain filled expression. I knew that the skin around her mouth was burnt a bright red as the skin peeled away thanks to the vervain and her large blue eyes were pouring tear down her cheeks. Elena sat next to the blonde silently as she watched the ex-hunter drench the cloth in the clear liquid before he walked over to stand in front of me.

"No, no more, please, no more!" I heard Caroline beg next to me in my defence but I just stared at the new vampire with hard eyes as he came to a stop in front of me and Elena stood up from the seat next to Caroline.

"Alaric, stop!" Elena ordered sternly as she glared at her guardian but he just pushed her back down into her seat and she fell back with a groan.

"Sit down! This keeps the vervain in her system. It's like inhaling razorblades with every breath." He told him with a malicious glint in his hazel eyes as he placed the cloth back into my mouth and my skin started to burn violently as I cried out in pain. My throat felt raw like I hadn't drank any blood in a month but I ignored the rapid beating of Elena's heart as I closed my eyes tightly against the pain. I counted to ten in my head as I concentrated on the fact that Rebekah must have gotten away from the school before Alaric found her because it was the only acceptable answer for me. I heard Caroline's muffled scream and my eyes sprung open as I turned my head to the side to see Alaric had placed another vervain drenched cloth into her mouth. I grimaced in sympathy for the young blonde vampire as Elena placed a comforting hand on her friends arm and I was immensely glad that she had someone to sooth her.

"Why are you doing this?" Elena asked Alaric in a mixture of confusion and exasperation as she glanced up at him from her spot crouched down besides Caroline.

"To make it easier on you when you put them out of their misery." Alaric replied idly as he walked over to the teacher's desk in the middle of the front of the classroom and reached over to pick up the white oak stake from the desk. "Isn't this what you wanted, Elena? For me to teach you how to kill a vampire?" he asked her as he walked back over to stand in front of them and I watched with wide frightened eyes as he held the stake out to Elena. "Well, here's a vampire, Elena. Kill her."

"This isn't what I want." Elena denied as she shook her head at him in disagreement and I felt tears rolled down my cheek as I glanced at Caroline from the corner of my eye. Her blonde hair was messy from the fight with Alaric earlier and her mascara was running down her cheeks because of her tears.

"Of course it is. All those hours you spent training, getting stronger, you could be a hunter, Elena. But you've never actually staked a vampire through the heart."

"Why are you doing this?" the doppelgänger asked Alaric in a tired voice as she stood up from her crouch next to Caroline and he stared at her for a moment as though he was silently considering something.

"Because you need me. Because you're an 18 year old girl without parents or guidance or any sense of right and wrong anymore. Listen, Elena, your parents led the council. It was their life's mission to keep this town safe. They weren't dead six months before you undid it all."

"You don't know anything about them." Elena spat at him with a scowl on her pretty face as she glared at him for mentioning her deceased parents and he inclined his head as he narrowed his hazel eyes at her.

"Why, am I wrong? Do you actually think that they'd be proud of you? If you don't side with the humans, you're just as bad as them. Now kill her." Alaric ordered her as he pushed the stake into her hand and then walked over to pull the cloth out of my mouth roughly.

"Ah!" I cried out in agony as the vervain tore my skin from my face and I squeezed my eyes tightly against the pain before I opened them again as I cried. Alaric stood in front of me as he glared at Elena and he grabbed a hold of the back of my neck roughly so that my head was pulled backwards.

"Or I'll kill Caroline and I'll make it hurt. Which one, Elena?" Alaric asked her spitefully as he tightened his hold on the nape of my neck and I bit back a groan of pain because I didn't want to show more weakness than necessary. I glanced at Caroline in panic and saw that the blonde was staring back at me in horror so I turned my attention back to the doppelgänger. Alaric let go of my head when Elena hesitated and grabbed the top of her arm before pulling her to stand in front of me. "Come on, Elena! Rheanna or Caroline?! Make a choice!"

"Kill me." I told her quietly as I looked up at her with steadily and she looked at me in surprise as she froze in front of where I was pinned to the seat. "It's me or Caroline, Elena. Kill me."

"I can't. I, I can't kill you." Elena stuttered lowly as she looked down at the white oak stake in her hand and Alaric shifted impatiently behind her so I tried to keep my breaths calm as I begged for death. I knew that Alaric was getting annoyed at Elena's hesitance so I glanced at Caroline for a second before turning my attention back to the brunette in front of me.

"I kissed Stefan." I admitted to her coolly as I stared at her steadily and she sucked in a deep breath as she turned her head to look at me. I plastered a bitchy smile on my face as I looked up at the sad girl in front of me and I knew that if I wanted her to crack I would have to break out the big guns. Elena was a compassionate and kind soul so I knew that it would take a lot for her to want to kill someone but underneath the calm exterior there was the heart of a killer. I knew that if you dug deep enough, you could find a killer in anyone. "When you were in Denver and Stefan was all alone in that great big house. I knew he must have been lonely."

"No." Elena murmured quietly as she shook her head in disbelief and I lifted an eyebrow idly at her as smirked deviously. Her dark brown eyes hardened as she looked at me and she raised the white oak stake slowly. I took a deep breath in anticipation as I closed my eyes and all I could hear was Caroline screaming in the background but the pain of being staked never came so I opened my eyes again to see Elena trying to stab Alaric in the chest. He moved quickly out of the way as he grabbed her thin wrist in his hand and scowled at her attempt to kill him.

"I thought I taught you better than that." He taunted her with a smirk as he tightened his hold on her wrist and I frowned in confusion as I watched them interact.

"You did." Elena agreed with him calmly as she blindly grabbed the beaker of liquefied vervain from the table besides her and broke the glass over Alaric's head. He screamed in pain as his flesh started to burn because of the acid-like liquid and Elena ran over to Caroline's side to quickly pull the cloth off of her mouth before taking out the pencils that were pinning her hands to the table. I sighed in relief as Caroline stood up shakily from her seat moved towards the door and Elena turned around to quickly take the pencils out of my hands.

"Thank you." I breathed softly as the pain left my body and she nodded jerkily as I stood up from the seat shakily.

"Get Caroline out." Elena said to me pleadingly as I headed towards the door and I nodded at her in agreement as I ran to the door to find Caroline. My body still felt weak from all the vervain torture it had gone through but I kept running down the empty hallway of the high school looking for a familiar head of blonde hair. I came to a stop as I looked around the vacant hallway and I let out a shake breath as I ran a hand through my messy hair. I wiped a hand over my cheek to clear the fallen tears and choked on a sob as I leaned against the cool metal locker. I shook my head at myself before I pushed my body off of the locker and started walking down the hallway in search of Caroline. I was suddenly pulled back against a hard body as someone covered my mouth with their hand and I screamed against their hand in surprise as I struggled against their hold but I was still weak.

"Shh…" a familiar voice whispered into my ear and I froze in my struggle as I finally recognised the scent of pine and apple that was just Stefan. I closed my eyes for a second before I nodded my head slowly so that he knew that I wouldn't do anything and he let go of his hold on my mouth as I turned around to face him. A heart-warming smile spread across his face as his forest green eyes swept over my face and I smiled up at him sightly as he sighed in relief. His warm calloused hands cupped my cheeks as his thumbs rubbed soothing circles under my eyes and I closed my eyes in pleasure at the safety I felt in his arms. I covered his hands with mine as he rested his forehead on mine and his breath mixed with mine as we just basked in the fact that I was safe.

"Caroline!" I exclaimed in worry as I pulled away from Stefan slightly as opened my eyes widely as I looked down the empty hallway and he placed a restraining hand on my hip so that I wouldn't run off on my own.

"Caroline's fine, I promise. Klaus has her." Stefan assured me softly as he cupped my neck with one hand and I nodded my head in understanding as I sighed in relief before looking up into Stefan's forest green eyes.

"And Rebekah? Rebekah safe, right?"

"Rebekah is home at the mansion." He promised me sternly as he moved a strand of my honey coloured hair behind my ear and my breath caught in my throat as I nodded again because of the look in his eyes. It was something that I hadn't seen since the 1920's and I couldn't help the swell of hope that the spark in his glorious green eyes inspired.

"Elena's still in there. You should go." I told him as I stepped backwards out of his arms and he nodded his head at me as he looked down the hallway. I glanced down at the ground sadly as I walked backwards and he turned his head slightly to look at me once more. I turned around on the spot to find the front door of the school but suddenly a warm hand wrapped around my wrist to pull me to a stop and I turned back around with a confused frown on my lips. Before I could say anything, Stefan had my back pressed up against the cool metal of the locker and his lips crashed against mine as he placed a hand on my hip. The other hand was tangled in my messy honey coloured hair as his lips were pressed firmly on mine and I gasped a little in surprise as I kissed him back with equal amounts of passion. I wrapped my arms around his neck so that I had better leverage and my leg raised a little as it pressed against his. Stefan's hand squeezed my hip hard when I swiped my tongue along the bottom of his lip and he opened his mouth eagerly to allow me entrance. I moaned a little as his tongue tangled with mine in a fight for dominance and he tightened his fingers around my hair in a possessive move. He moved his head back an inch so that our lips were no longer connected and my breathing was laboured as I stared into his lust-filled forest green eyes. He smiled at me crookedly as he brushed a piece of my hair off of my forehead and I tried to settle my breathing so that I wasn't panting. He leaned into me again slowly as I smiled at him lovingly and pressed his lips against mine tenderly as my eyes fluttered closed. Stefan slowly let go of my hair as he took a step back from me and I kept my back pressed up against the metal lower as he placed a chaste kiss on my cheek.

"I'm glad you're okay, Rhea." He said softly in his deep voice as he smiled at me before I blinked and he was gone from the hallway, leaving me wondering if he was ever there at all.
