Since the night of dinner, there was a shift in Arisa and Sasuke's relationship. They were friends now instead of just neighbors. Arisa would invite Sasuke in on nights that she cooked, and Sasuke had begun to open up the more they spent time together.
It was a month after their first dinner when Sasuke invited Arisa into his apartment. He held a bag of Ichiraku ramen and upon reaching his apartment door he stood and waited for Arisa to stick her head out at the sound of his arrival. It took a minute but the door opened up and Arisa stuck her head out with a smile.
"I'm beginning to think you wait for me to come out."
"I do."
Arisa wasn't prepared for the naked honesty and stumbled with her next words, although she was getting used to how blunt Sasuke could be. "O-oh, well, that-that's cool-nice to know." Suddenly shy, Arisa started inching back into her apartment when Sasuke spoke up.
"I bought dinner."
Arisa blinked. Was he implying that Arisa should join him? Scared to have gotten the wrong idea Arisa played it safe and said, "Oh that's nice. What did you get?"
Sasuke looked down at the bag, then at Arisa. "Us." He corrected, "I bought us dinner."
Arisa ignored the way her heart skipped a beat and followed Sasuke into his home. They both were unaware that Eizo had stopped walking at the top of the stairs to witness this. He left without another word.
