7: 00 am, Kevin's phone rings. Kevin picks it up and says "Hello." Chloe says"Hey, it's me..." Kevin says"You Okay?" Chloe"Yeah, can we talk. I'm alone, I want to talk to Mike about something, but I don't know how to approach it." Kevin says "Okay, Ava and I..." Chloe interrupts "Kevin, can it just be you and me. I'm not high." Kevin says "I'll be right over." Kevin hangs the phone up. He walks out of the bed room and sees Ava. He kisses Ava and says"Got to go see what's on Chloe's mind, she said it was private. I don't know why she didn't want you there. You know, may be you could have a heart to heart with her. Woman to woman." Ava grabs Kevin's hand and sits him on a couch outside the bedroom. Ava sits next Kevin and says "She called here about an hour ago. There has been some real serious shit happen with her and her friend Max." Kevin says "What, what'd she say." Ava says"I can't tell you baby. That's some thing she needs to tell you herself." She gets up from the bench and grabs Kevin, she pulls him up and kisses him. "You should be going." Kevin walks out of the house and gets into his international CXT and drives to Mike's house. Kevin tries to pull into the driveway but can't fit through the gates so he parks the big truck down the street. Kevin walks up the driveway and knocks on the door. Chloe opens the door, she looks behind Kevin. Kevin says "My truck wouldn't fit In between the gates." Chloe motions for Kevin to walk in, she shuts the door behind him. Kevin looks at Chloe and asks"So you wanted to talk to me about something?" "Follow me." Chloe says leading Kevin into the living room, the two of them sit on a couch. Chloe says"I don't know how to say this so I am going to just say it. Max and I knew something was up with Jefferson. As soon as we were just about to get to him he up and left. You saw the photos what did he have?" Kevin says"They showed her in various positions, laying down, sitting up and some with Prescott. There was one of her being laid into a make shift grave." Chloe breaks down crying and says "I loved her." Kevin says "She was…?" Chloe says"Just say it she was my girlfriend. Max was to but I had to leave for her safety. Presscott drugged me, I tried to extort him but he had a gun and tried to shoot me and Max saved me. I tried to have her run away with me, but she wanted to stay. She was successful and then there is me…" Kevin says "You can't say that Chloe. You got people who are here for you, Me, Ava and especially Mike." Mike walks into the house and says "Hey Kevin Chloe." Mike walks into the living room and sees Kevin standing next to Chloe Crying. Mike says"What the hell happened?" Chloe looks up at Mike with tears in her eyes and says in a shaking voice"I need to tell you something." Mike grabs Kevin and says "You FUCK!" Mike pulls back his arm, Chloe jumps up, yells "NO, it wasn't anything he did." Chloe gets in between Mike and Kevin and pushes Mikes arm down. Kevin says"I think I should go." Kev walks outside and gets into the truck.
Inside the truck Kevin's phone rings. Kevin press the button on the steering wheel and says"Hello." Nathan Presscott is on the other end and says " , I have purchased a property and want you to see it." Kevin says" Yeah, I'll stop by the place what's the address?" "2108 21st street, ocean beach." "I'll be there, have a good one. Oh by the way, call me Kevin." Nathan says"Thank you Kevin." Kevin hangs up the phone. Yay, I get to drive this beast into the most tourist traveled roads and try to find a place for it. Kevin pulls the truckto the side of the road and reaches under the bench seat and pulls out a Colt.38. You never know with these people.
At 2108 21st ocean beach, Kevin pulls his truck into the parking lot. Nathan walks out of the building and up to the truck. Kevin opens the door steps down from the truck. Nathan says "Glad you could make it, so what I am trying to open up is a photo gallery for my girlfriend." Kevin says "Well you have a good location." Why is he acting so weird? The two men walk into the building, there is a water fountain in the center of the building in between to sets of staircases. There is a desk on the right of the men. The desk is glass with gold inlays. Nathan and Kevin turn to look at the desk. Nathan says"This is our reception area. This is where we will have our gusts sign in and the glass desk is so people can see our guests previous works." Kevin says "Well you sure have good taste." The men walk up a stair case and there are photographs on the walls. Nathan walks into a room where there is a set of tables containing trays, glasses, wine bottles and Champagne. Nathan says "See something you like?" as he walks over to Kevin who is looking at a photograph of the Malibu club. Kevin says "I love the angle on this one!" "You want a print?" "You don't mind?" Kevin says looking at Nathan. Nathan says "You helped me launch this place so..." "Yeah, I'll take a print." Nathan walks into where the tables are. Nathan grabs a bottle of Don Perrion. He shakes the bottle and pops the cork. Nathan puts the knife down and begins pouring the Champagne in the glasses when Kevin picks up the knife and inspects it. The knife is covered in a powdery white substance. Kevin says"What the hell is this!?" Nathan"A knife?" "You know what I mean. You snortin' coke!?" Kevin yells at Nathan. Nathan hands Kevin the glass while taking a sip from his and says"Why do you care?" "Look man this is my town and I gave you a more than fair deal. You need to tell me where… fuck it… look, you're a business man. Clean up you got an opening tonite, your guests are going to know and lose trust in you."
Kevin gets in his truck and drives for a little bit. Kevin's phone rings. He answers it. "Hello." Mike says"Hey man meet me at my house. You and I need to talk." "Ok I'll be right over with a bottle of gentleman jack." At O'Grady's liquor store, Kevin parks the truck in the lot and walks into the store. Kevin grabs a bottle of Gentleman Jack and places it on the counter and grabs his wallet. The man behind the counter says "Going to be a long night?" Kevin says"I guess man. Friend calls me up says we need to talk, never a good sign." "Well Mr. Creedon the bottle is free. You are a friend of Mr Montana." Kevin says "Thanks man, see you again." Kevin grabs the bottle and walks out of the store.
At Mike's house Kevin parks the truck outside and walks into the driveway. There is a Buick Gran National and 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 in the driveway. Kevin walks in and sees Duncan, Javiar and Mike talking. Mike says " okay the man we were looking for." "Mike, what's going on?" Duncan says "Well,Javier here is going to get his stripes today." Mike says "We'll talk more in the car." The men walk outside. Mike opens the garage and gets into a Mercury GranMarquis and drives out. Duncan walks over to the trunk of the Gran National and pulls out three MP40 s. He hands one to Javiar and one to Kevin. Javiar and Duncan get in the car. Kevin says "Wait just a fuckin' moment. Where there hell we going?" Mike says "Get in, I'll explain." Kevin gets in the car. Mike says "So Chloe told me all the shit that happened between her and Nathan, the fucker has a gallery opening. We are going to roll up in there and you guys will blast the place. Then we will speed the fuck out and best part is with all the people scattering we won't even be seen."
The car pulls up to the gallery there is a red carpet rolled out to the curb and police escorting traffic through the street. Mike says "Fuck, I had't even planned on this." "Look man, cool your head, clam down a bit. He's not the same person he was. People were using him and he was trying to Impress them. He is on my side of things now so why don't we just go in and see what he is doing." Javiar says "Are you sure we dressed ok for this?" "Yeah man, these are artsy types."
Inside the gallery. The four men walk in and are stopped by a guard. "Your name on the list?" Nathan walks over wearing a beige suit with a blue shirt. "These men are with me. How are you Kevin?" The guard moves the velvet rope. The men walk in with Kevin. Nathan walks up to Duncan and says "You have a look to you, what's your media?" Duncan looks at Kevin. Kevin says "You should see his works he does amazing things with an engine and a frame." Nathan says "Can he speak for himself?" Duncan says "I can." "Well, go on, mingle, make yourself at home, there's orderves, champagne, wine and craft beer." Nathan walks away and Kevin turns and looks at the group. Mike looks at Kevin. Javiar "Seems pretentious but he's an artsy type." Duncan says in a mocking way "What's your media?" The men walk around for a little bit. Kevin goes to a table and grabs a beer. Duncan walks over, grabs a beer and says"So what's up with Mike, I get a call saying that he needs help with some shit that's going down." "So the pretentious ass that owns this place did some real sick shit to Mikes's girl, but he was being controlled by a photographer that he looked up to." "The guy has free fucking will right, why can't he have said no?" "Have you ever said no to someone you idolized?" Kevin says as Duncan gulps down some beer. Kevin says"And on that note." As he walks towards the bathroom.
At the end of the opening ceremony Kevin, Mike, Duncan, Javiar and Nathan walk to the parking lot. Mike, Javiar and Duncan get into the Mercury as a 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser speeds into the parking lot , a tall, skinny, long haired blonde man gets out of the land cruiser. I know that guy, he hangs around little Havana. Guy always fancied himself as a big shot. Mike winds the window down and says "Get in the car man." Kevin says "You guys go on a head, I'll catch up with you guys later." Mike winds the window up and pulls away. Kevin walks towards the Toyota and sees the blonde pull out a gun. Kevin pulls out his .38 and shoots the man in the hand chest and stomach. Kevin tucks his gun away and runs over to Nathan. Nathan looks over at Kevin and says"Why, what was he...?" "The guy's name is Lenny, goes by LG. Look man, he might have a few boys Rollin through with him, I better get you to your place." Kevin and Nathan walk over to Nathan's Audi R8. Kevin gets in the driver side and says"I know your cars and I don't have a great history, but I promise I'll treat this one right. So, how'd you get out of Chigger woods?" Nathan looks over at Kevin and says"I nearly died." "Scared the shit out of you didn't it?" "Almost as bad as…" Kevin says "Go on." "When Jefferson made me pose with Rachel, bury her, when I had intimidated Chloe." Kevin dose a panic stop and says "Hold the fuck up, I saw the photos. The Filth Jefferson had, you were happy posing with Rachel and you didn't intimidate Chloe. I know Jefferson was using you. I have to know…" Nathan looks over at Kevin and says "Yeah, I did enjoy it, but I had to help him. This was so my grade would improve and my asswhole father would get off my case." Kevin says"That's not what I was going to ask, did Rachel really love him, Frank or Chloe?" Nathan stops looking at Kevin. "She did love Chloe, but she couldn't deal with her self destruction. The drinking, the drugs, the constant rebellion for rebellion sake. She was with Frank just to be with a bad boy and to try and work Chloe's debt off. With Mark... I mean Jefferson, she was trying to find a way to get noticed as a model. She knew that he had connections, then Jefferson turned on the charm and had her infatuated with him. Then the first photo shoot starts to get to unsavory for her likening so she tried to break it off with him. Then I need him to help me and he had me help him in what would be her last photo shoot. I bought the drugs from Frank, I went back to the dark room, Jefferson mixed the drugs and gave me the syringe. There was a Vortex club party and I watched Chloe and Rachel walk in. I waited for Chloe and Rachel to separate. Chloe went outside, I stuck the needle in her neck and the she started showing the signs that Mark told me. I took her in my truck to the dark room." Kevin says "Shit man he had you good. He had you pose with her then what?" Nathan says"He saw that she was acting as if she would remember everything. He… He… He…" Kevin says "Take your time, I need to know." "He had me drug her. Then we buried her in the junk yard, a little later he disappeared. Before that I had drugged Chloe to prove to him I knew what he had done and that I couldn't have done it. Are you going to tell Chloe about this?" Nathan asks. Kevin looks at Nathan and says "No. Look man the least she knows the better for her, me and you. Look man, my homie Mike he ain't to keen about you, especially after Chloe told Mike about you drugging her. We were there to drive-by and spray your place."
At a mansion in Orlando. Kevin pulls the R8 into the drive way. The men exit the car. Nathan walks up to the door. Nathan looks at Kevin while opening the door. Nathan says "Can I least get you a drink?" Kevin says"Maybe another time. My lady is waiting on me."
At Mike's house Kevin gets out of a taxi and walks up to his truck and sees Chloe sitting on the tailgate of the truck smoking a cigarette. Kevin walks up to Chloe and says "why don't you sit in the truck?" Chloe says "You sure, I don't want to mess up the interior." "It's a work truck. C'mon." Kevin says while grabbing her hands and sliding her off the tailgate. Kevin and Chloe walk over to the passenger side of the truck. He unlocks the door and opens the door. Kevin says "You need help?" Chloe says "No thank you." "I thought so, strong independent woman like you." Kevin says while climbing into the truck. Chloe looks over at Kevin and flips him off. Kevin says "What, I was nice to you, let you smoke in my truck. I say you're a strong independent woman and you flip me off." "That's why I love you Kevin. You and Mike take me as I am and you genuinely love me for it." Chloe says. "So what's Mike up to?" "He is watching t.v. and I needed a smoke after he came in and said that you were taking care of Nathan." Kevin says" Well that punks so dam scared that he is going to stay in his gallery and stop doing drugs. There was a sleezy dealer who almost shot the shit out of him. I need to go talk to Mike." Kevin and Chloe go into the house and walk into the living room. Chloe sits on the couch next to Mike and Kevin sits on the chair next to them. Kevin says"Hey Mike, Nathan is scared shitless, he saw me shoot a dealer and I had to drive him home." "That's what we needed, so you getting a cut?" "No, but you guys are. Look it's been a long ass day and I haven't seen Ava to much today."
Kevin gets in his truck and drives home. Ava and I need to get married soon. She is always there where so many women would have just bailed after they figured out what she did. Hell, she could have just run and went to the cops when we got home, she would have been fine when I'd been in jail, federal prison. At Kevin's house, he pulls the truck into the driveway and reverses the truck into the garage. Inside the house Kevin walks into the kitchen and see Ava sitting reading a newspaper. Kevin walks over to the table and sits across from Ava. Ava lowers her paper and looks at Kevin. "How was your day?" Kevin says"It was not a great day, but now I get to spend it with the best person in the world." Ava laughs and says "Why so sweet?" Kevin gets up from the table and starts kissing her up her arm and finally up to her lips. "Look baby, I love you and am so grateful to have you here. You could have…" "Hey what is going on. I love you and will never leave you. Say what is on your mind." "We need to get married you and I NEED to." "I have no one here and we can always have a ceremony later with OUR people." Ava says looking at Kevin. Kevin says "It is just you and me, maybe some of your friends, Mike and Chloe possibly, if you want…" "Why would I not want them there?" "What I am getting at is, we need to sit and sort of plan this out. I want it quick but not rushed." Ava says "We will. It's my weeding day as much as it yours. It's my special day. I'm joking!" "That's why I love you, you make laugh, you understand me, you are perfect for me." Kevin says looking into Ava's eyes.
