Chapter 21

A/N: This is an AU story for the vampire diaries. I do not own the vampire dairies.

Caroline woke to find that she was strapped onto a gurney. She shook her head her eye sight slightly blurry before she could see the light bulb beaming down on her. She looked around the room, it looked like she was in some abandon hospital. She looked to see some herbs in jars, some bloody knives, and various other things, and then she saw something she never wanted to see. A few organs in jars, she felt a chill run down her spine as well as uneasiness. She turned her head more to her right and found someone next to her. He turned to her and gave her a careless smile.

"I'm Lorenzo also known as Enzo, and here is the rest of your life." He said. "Welcome to Hell."

Klaus was in his study trying to figure out what had happened today. Thierry had come to report to him about the two dead vampires. They didn't even have stakes in their hearts and they weren't torn out or had their head ripped off. Klaus couldn't put his finger on it but there was something familiar about these murders. Caroline had gone to pick up a few things such as her bag, and go to her Math class. Rebekah had gone with her as well making sure that Caroline wouldn't be alone. Elijah entered the room along with Kol who had a smirk on his face.

"Any news on the attacks?" Elijah asked. Klaus shook his head.

"I am not sure what it is, but at the same time I might and it's on the tip of my tongue." Klaus groaned trying to think.

"Well until you figure that out, who is up for a little game?" Klaus and Elijah glared at him. "What it will be entertaining, I even brought a blonde Nik." Klaus could see the blonde girl in the background somewhere behind them. Elijah turned to Kol irritated.

"Kol, I thought I told you we don't have time for your ridiculous game of strap poker." Kol rolled his eyes. "Compel her to go home."

"Strip poker." Kol corrected. Klaus rolled his eyes and grabbed his jacket. "No game not even with the blonde, I should have stole Caroline instead." Klaus glared at him before moving to follow Elijah out. "You must like Caroline, you are actually going on great lengths to be loyal to her." Klaus was going to lock him away and Elijah would have no say.

Rebekah was at the school getting ready to meet up with Caroline when there was movement. She turned around only to find nothing there. But when she turned back around she nearly screamed at who she saw.

"Papa Tunde."

Caroline struggled against her restraints to no avail. Enzo shook his head. And she glared at him.

"Trust me blonde girl, you won't get out of here. Believe me I have tried." He said.

"How long have you been here?" She couldn't help but ask.

"Fifty years." Caroline's eyes widened. Suddenly she was moving forward. She looked around and her eyes met with Dr. Wes. She gasped as he stopped and opened what appeared to be his notebook of some sort.

"Baby vampire," Dr. Wes said and wrote it down in his book.

"Now where should I start, organs, blood or serum." He said. Caroline shook her head. He was so vile. She felt some skin on her lower hip peaking out. She bit her lip and panicked. She was in a hospital with a doctor that dissected on vampires and she was pregnant with Klaus's child. This just kept getting better and better. She didn't know which was worse, removing organs, losing blood or having him put some sort of serum through her body. "First though have to do some tests. Just to make sure that you don't have any way of dying or anything strange." He said.

"You're sick." She glared at him while he just smirked.

"Caroline Forbes, your father was a part of the Augustine society. He had taught me everything that I know." Caroline suddenly remembered something.

Flashback:

Young Caroline skipped through the hall looking for her father. He had just come this way. Her father Bill Forbes was to take her to go get some ice cream, But she couldn't find him anywhere. Caroline came across a door, and couldn't help but wonder what was behind there. Suddenly someone grasped her arm and brought her away from there. She turned to find her father standing there.

"Caroline, what are you doing here. You shouldn't wander off by yourself." She nodded.

"I was looking for the ice cream you promised to take me." She said. Her father nodded.

"Alright pumpkin, let's go. But Caroline," She turned to him as he was suddenly very serious. "Don't ever come down here without me again." She nodded as he took her hand and led her out of the basement.

Flashback ended:

Caroline struggled against her restraints as Dr. Wes began to place the a anesthesia. It didn't really put her to sleep though. Dr. Wes grabbed her hand and sliced it with his knife. Her blood slide down the palm of her hand and dropped into a glass tube.

"Some blood," He said checking it off his lips. Her breathing froze when she began to feel him push brushing his fingertips against the tip of the small bump on her. "My you are pregnant," She squirmed trying her best to break the straps but nothing would work. "Interesting I would like to know more about this child. "It be a hybrid or a mix hybrid.

"A what?"

"Well I seemed to be looking through your DNA to find out about that child inside of you." He said. She glared at him. "It could be just werewolf, a hybrid or even a witch." Caroline looked at him confused.

"What?"

"Well who is the father of the child must have been a warlock or something."

"That is none of your damn business." She snapped.

"Well considering the child growing inside of you I would have to say that the father would have to be fairly powerful." Dr. Wes said. "Unfortunately we can't have this child live. "Ever heard of the term abortion." He said. Caroline's eyes widened as she began to struggle more. "Let's see how the baby takes it as well as you when I add a little bit of a ripper vaccine." She shook her head and tried to escape. But she was strapped down on a table. He moved and stabbed her with the syringe. She screamed. Caroline struggled to try and fight. Suddenly Dr. Wes was tossed into a wall. Caroline looked up at Klaus who looked like he was going to destroy and rip apart everything. He was furious, that this man even had the thought of touching Caroline or their child. Klaus watched Dr. Wes slump against the wall unconscious. Klaus began to rip of the straps.

"Caroline," He said. Caroline gave him a small but was still too weak to speak.

"Klaus," Klaus scooped her up in his arms just as she was grabbing Dr. Wes's journal. She needed to find out what he was doing and what he was up to. "It's alright sweetheart, I got you." Caroline kissed his cheek before she fell unconscious. Klaus looked down at the angel in his arms. He knew that he could never leave her. Especially when he had come to her school to find her. He had found her bag on the ground and her gone. As well as the smell of vervein. His whole body had screamed find Caroline. And he wouldn't back down before. He had to protect the mother of his child and his child that was on the way. "I love you," Klaus froze and looked down at Caroline who was looking more out of it. It almost seemed like she was drunk. She moved to press more of her face in his chest. Could what Caroline had said be true or was she intoxicated too much. Klaus kissed her forehead and whispered.

"I love you too."

Sophie turned to Sabine with fear. She shook her head. The summer solstice is to come.

"I say we kill the child."

"An innocent child."

"A child? Not at all an abomination. You know Klaus's mother was a witch. The child will be the next tyrant of the world." Sabine said. "In order to stop the birth, of the child is we have to kill its life source." Sophie gasped.

"Caroline,"

Notes: So here is another chapter. So Sabine thinks that they have to kill the child because it might be more powerful than anything else on the planet. They think it will possibly be a vampire, werewolf, and a witch. Now Sabine is going to stop the child from being born by going after Caroline and killing her. Next chapter: Klaus confides his feelings about the child more of his pov. Caroline will show comfort. Be for warned that Sabine and the witches might have a few plans up their sleeves. Next chapter I have decided to be posted May 1st because I am getting my project done much faster. So maybe, just maybe I can update a little sooner. That's why I scheduled it in May 1st. But it is a long shot. I still do have a final coming up and it is May sometime. So wish me like. If you check out my other stories I might put in my notes of when I could be doing another chapter for this story. Bare with me guys i am trying to make an effort to update. But i do have some good news: near the middle or end of May i will be making updates much faster like i use to. Because it is getting closer to summer! YAY! So be patient please. Any way stay tuned.
