A/N Another chapter! Hope it is good enough for all you readers. Should be interesting enough. R&R! A shoutout to Oxenstierna D. Yuki-Rin for reviewing!

Time passes slowly when you are in pain, but it passes quickly when you are having a good time. Why does it do that? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Some people will never know how to preserve memories. They will just be living life for the present. By doing this they will never cherish the passing seconds making it very hard for them to appreciate the things they have. Others stay on the past. They preserve old memories and refuse to make new ones. Those fools don't understand what they are missing. Others disregard past events entirely and only focus on the future. These type of people set ridiculous goals others could never carry out. When they accomplish them though, these people cherish those moments for the rest of there lives. Interesting enough, I think I am becoming the latter.

"If I was in your position, I don't think I would do the same." Admiral Coby said. "Because if I was in your position I would never bring him back."

I was shocked. How could he say this? Especially after claiming that Luffy was a good person. I got a little too excited; I slammed my fist on the table, making him turn his full attention to me. He stared at me with unchanging eyes waiting for my response. I held my hand where it was and clenched my fists. This man seemed to like and admire Luffy. How could he put his job in front of his friend? "Admiral, why not? The way you talked about Luffy made me think you and him were comrades." I said through clenched teeth.

He never stopped staring at me, "Yon, you will never understand why I would not bring him back. Let me tell you this. If you go on this journey, you will never be safe again. The Straw Hat Pirates declared war on the world. Therefore any of there allies are immediately considered major threats to the government."

I returned the glare. "Yon don't tell anyone what you just told me. As a friend of Luffy's I wont disclose this information with the Marines. It's getting late and I must return to my duties." He began to walk away, but stopped and muttered, "Don't tell anyone of our meeting and do not go looking for me. As I and the other Admirals are leaving today we were only here to see what Vegapunk had accomplished." He walked back over to me and picked up the box. "Good day Yon." He walked out of site, but not out of mind. I lifted my arm up and placed it over my eyes. I leaned back in my chair and thought about all I had been told. Luffy had saved so many people. He should be hailed as a hero, but instead he is downcast as an evil pirate. The fact that the corrupt Marines don't want him found makes it all the more motivating. To be hated. Luffy and his crew were not deserving of this fate. No matter what, I will find them.

I let my arm slide off to the arm rest on my chair. It was relaxing to just be able to sit and think. I got up and stretched. Vegapunk must be waiting for me. My arm was in bearable pain. Vegapunk would have to re-stitch my skin. Fun, I headed back to his office. This time, when I excited the library, the hallway was a bit dim. Why was it like this? Maybe they needed to conserve energy when the scientist were not working. It seemed even the Marines wanted to reserve energy. I used my left hand to find my way down the corridor.

A sudden chill flew through the air and ruffled my hair. I took my hand off the wall and held myself as I walked down the long, dark hallway.

This air was not normal, as far as I could tell. On my journey to the library I had felt no breeze at all. Maybe this was a circulation system to get the smell of blood and guts out of the air. My leg hit something and I tripped over on my bad arm, "Owe, what the hell damn it!" The metal in my arm made a loud *clink noise that rang through the hallway. I quickly got up to a sitting position and held my arm.

As I sat there holding my arm I noticed a red light began to fill the hallway. "What the…" My word were cut off by a blaring siren, "Subject 211 has broken out of our custody. I repeat Subject 211 has broken out of our custody. Be on a lookout for a large hairy beast roaming through the halls. There are sedatives located in the stock room in each floor. If necessary you must use them in a certain way. Other wise it will only make him stronger. You must inject…"

"Yui, He's here run!" another voice screamed

"Oh my Oda what the hell!"

Screams and gunfire were heard faintly

"Yui! NO! We need back up he…."

The audio was cut off and the blaring siren returned. I froze from what I had just heard. The siren blared and I slowly got up. I walked along the hall, trying to find a room I could hide in. Each of the doors had already been barricaded and would not let me in. I screamed at the people in the rooms, terror filling my veins as I tried to find a haven.

I ran aiming to get to Vegapunk's office before it was too late. Out of nowhere a large chunk of rock smashed me into the wall. I slowly opened my eyes to see the silhouette of a large beast towering over me. I struggled to push the rock off but to no avail. I was helpless. The large monster stood on its hind legs, at least twenty feet tall and let out a fierce roar, clearing all the dust that blinded my view of him. The monster had the physic of a large bear with a fox like head, his arms were twice the size of his legs and his stomach had the marine symbol tattooed onto it.

I wheezed, "Hey there, no need to get feisty." I raised one arm in defense as the other was pinned under a rock. The monster growled again and swiped at the siren just above us. At least the noise died down a little. Then the monster walked towards me. It leaned down and sniffed me. I cringed and turned away. I was greeted with it snorting in my face. I turned at it and in a calm voice said, "Hey there buddy, me and you are a like. We both don't want to be here, and are test subjects for something we both hate, now…" I was cut off by a fierce attack from the beast. He punched me. The rock crumbled and pushed me down the corridor. I landed on my bad arm and heard a snap, definitely broken. I clenched my teeth from the pain. With no more rock on me I was able to stand. I held my broken arm and hurried down the corridor to Vegapunk's office. I looked behind me to see the beast charging at me. I ran as fast as I could but the beast was gaining on me quite rapidly.

Then something appeared in the distance. It was a man dressed in a yellow suite. He had the same jacket Coby had on him. Just as the beast was in attacking distance I passed the man. "You better run he is going to get you!" I warned.

"Hmm, So then looks like you have been causing some trouble." The man said to the beast in a rather slow and dragged out voice. I stopped just a couple feet behind him to watch the battle unfold. The beast swiped at the man but all his attacks just fazed through him. With each attack the man became more luminescent. Until he became almost blinding. I could barely see anything. "Eh, you sure are scary when you are mad. You could have been so useful. It looks like in order for me to maintain the least amount of damage I'll have to stop you right here." He dragged on. The monster roared again. The light faded for a bit and I was able to see again. This time the monster's arms looked like there was a black padding on them. He swiped at the man this time landing a direct hit.

The man moved just a couple inches and let out a breath.

"Looks like you can use haki. Even more a reason not to want you gone. But an order is and order." In that time the beast unleashed another attack this time hitting me directly in my stomach sending me to the ground. I coughed blood onto my pants and panted heavily hoping this man could stop the monster. "Hmm, you alright kid?" I nodded in reply. "Then," he turned to the enraged beast. "You have hurt something innocent, therefore I have to wipe you out." Did he really just say that? What an idiot. He may be saving me, but to say something like that. When he himself has probably hurt innocent people, is just the type of hypocrisy I would expect in the Marines. He scratched his chin and kicked the beast with incredible speed. The beast hit the wall with an immense force. "Now then, to end this Yasakani no Magatama." His arms lit up and beams off light shot through the beast ripping it apart. The room filled with the smell of burning flesh. The only thing remaining was the loud scream the beast left behind. "Oh, what a pain." The man said as he slowly turned towards me, "You there, are you okay?"

I cleared my throat, "Yeah a little bruising some broken bones but I'll live." I attempted to stand up but my legs gave out and I fell.

"Oh this is a problem, where were you headed?" He asked.

"I'm one of Vegapunk's test subjects."

"One of you out here? What were you doing?"

I remembered what Coby said, so I lied, "Oh I was just coming back from an errand Vegapunk had sent me on."

"Interesting," He scratched his chin "Would you like some help back to his office."

"If its no trouble." His voice was beginning to become annoying.

"Alright then." He picked me up with one arm and walked me down the corridor to Vegapunk's. I know Vegapunk will be anxious to know how I got into this mess.
