The morning light came as Finn began to wake from his slumber. His eyes opened slowly to see the black mess of hair of Emi. He yawned as he felt her stir before stretching and looking up at him. "Good morning Finn. I hope I didn't make it too hard to sleep." He smiled softly with a light blush "Not really, Marceline sleeps like that on me a lot." She smiled getting up rubbing her hair which was all over the place and messy. "Oh dear I must look a mess" She laughed before looking out the window. "It's such a beautiful day too. Perfect for our outing today." She turned to face Finn. "If you will excuse me Finn I must go and clean myself up. The restroom is down the hall so you can clean up as you see fit." and with that she bowed before disappearing down the halls. Finn got up picking up his clothes before walking down the hall to the bathroom. After a hot and refreshing shower Finn emerged and headed to the main hall to find Emi waiting for him. Finn blushed at her beauty as she wore a white and gold-laced sun dress befitting someone of her composure. She smiled feeling his gaze "breathless are you?"
Finn shook his head regaining himself before walking down to her. "Are you ready to go?" She smiled happily "Of course, we simply have to follow the path and it will lead to town." She took his hand as they both walked out the door. It was hard to tell day from night in the Night-O-Sphere for the sky always resembled that of twilight or dawn, never true night or day. He looked down from the road they followed to see a bustling city of denizens. "Miss Emi? I thought like monsters an demons were the only thing here I didn't expect to see a city.." She smiled looking down with him at the town "There are many levels of the Night-O-Sphere, lower worlds are full of just monsters and demons but many others call home to the higher levels, such as vampires and other nightly creatures." "Oh." Finn replied as they began to make their way into the town. Most the people didn't pay them much mind as they browsed the stalls and various stores. Emi took the opportunity and softly gripped Finns hand causing him to blush as she pulled him to one of the stores. The inside was like an old antique store with many small and strange objects on shelves. Emi hummed softly as she walked down the isles browsing the various trinkets but eventually decided to leave having found nothing of interest. She smiled happily going from store to store seeming just happy to finally be able to get out of her house. Soon they both came to an outdoor blacksmith at the corner who was sharpening a blade against a wet stone. Finns hand tightens a bit seeing the blades all displayed as they brought up the memories of what had happened at the ball. "Finn? Are you alright?" Emi looked up at Finn. "Yeah I'm fine just uneasy." Emi looked down pondering for a moment before running in front of Finn. "Wait here ok?" and with that she ran off.
Finn sat down on a nearby bench wondering where she could have gone after about ten minuets Emi returned with a long box wrapped in blue and white trimmed wrapping paper an a bow. "What is this?" "It's for you Finn open it." she said with a big smile on her face. "You didn't have to..." he looked down at the long box. It was about the size of his arm and had quite a bit of weight to it. He looked up to see Emi looking with bit almost puppy eyes begging him to open it. He sighed and peeled away the wrapper pausing as he saw hit began to stick out of the torn box. "What is this...?" he tore away the rest of the box to reveal a sword. The hilt was wrapped in blue cloth and the end had a large red gem in it. The blade had been heat-treated and shined with a natural gold gleam looking more of a decorative piece than it really was considering how sharp the blade was. "Emi why did you I..I cant." Before Finn could finish she put a finger to his lip "Finn I had heard what had happened, and you need to let what happened go." She sat beside him holding his hands. "You killed a horrible man Finn and save Marceline, and you might not know it but you have save countless others he had and was abusing. Finn I bought you this so that way you could continue to protect the ones you love." She smiled warmly cupping his cheek "I have a feeling you will help a lot of people and do so much good, and with this you will be able to." Finn gripped the swords hilt looking at the golden blade "you really think I can do anything..?" She smiled moving to softly and lightly kiss his cheek. "I know you will Finn." He stood up blushing as he swung the sword in front of him. "Are you going to name it?" "What?" "Your sword? Its custom to name your sword." "Oh...well I guess I will name it..Scarlet." She smiled and attempted to stand only to start to fall as Finn moved to catch her. "Oh dear me I'm sorry. I seem to be a bit weary. If you wouldn't mind could you carry me to the café down the street. Id love to get some tea and a bit to eat." Finn smiled and hung the swords sheath on his waist before picking her up bridal style.
He carried her down to a small outdoor café and set her down in the chair. "Thank you Finn your quite the gentleman." He sat down across from her "Its nothing really you don't have to mention it." She smiled as a waitress came over to their table. She ordered a cup of tea and Finn hesitantly ordered a small sandwich, "So...what do you want to do next?" "Hmm well its been so long since I have been out, maybe we could go to the garden here in town, I hear its very beautiful." She smiles as the waitress brings her tea and sets it down. She happily sips her tea as she stairs up at the blackish red clouds that were scattered overhead. "I love it outside, I wish I was strong enough to go out on my own more often...without tiring like I do." Finn took a bite out of his sandwich as he looked down somewhat sad "I bet you get pretty lonely huh.." She smiled softly placing a hand on his "I do sometimes but I'm happy I could go out with you today." He smiled softly as they both sat and enjoyed each others company as Finn ate his sandwich and Emi sipped her tea. Finn looked around at the many people walking the streets, some looked like vampires others seemed more of demons, he guessed they could move freely due to the strange way the sun never really came out.
After Finn finished his food and Emi finished her sandwich Emi paid and with Finns arm for support they both made their way to the large park in the middle of town. The park was surprisingly normal which Finn didn't really expect being the Night-O-Sphere. Their were many flowers and trees bringing a large and beautiful spectrum of colors which gave Finn a sense of peace inside. "Its quite beautiful huh?" Emi said softly breaking the silence. "Yeah I've never really been to a garden like this before, I can see why you would like to come here." "She raised her eyebrow not passing up the opportunity to tease Finn. "What do you mean? Do you just assume I love gardens for the flowers and trees?" Finn blushed being knocked off guard by her reply "I'm sorry I didn't mean it Emi!" She covered her mouth as she began to giggle leading to a loud laugh. "I am teasing you Finn, I'm sorry I just couldn't help it. but yes I do love to come here for the flowers and beautiful scenery" she smiled sitting down on a bench motioning for him to sit with her.
He sat beside her as she rested her head on his shoulder "Are you ok?" "Yeah" she smiled closing her eyes "I'm just happy to have some company for a change is all. It's not bothering you is it?" Finn looked away shyly " its Fine." They both sat as time seemed to stand still around them as they sat in the garden. After a while Finn looked up to see the sky beginning to darken. "Hey Emi, should we head back? It's starting to get late I think." She smiled opening her eyes as if waking from a nap "Yeah..we probably should." Finn stood up before offering Emi a hand and helping her to her feet. By the time they had made their way back to the castle it had gotten dark. Finn opened the door to see her butler standing and greeting them with a bow. "Welcome back Mistress I do hope you had a grand time out in the town." She gave him a happy nod "I sure did, would you please go and ready my pajamas for the night? I am quite tired." "Right away mistress." and with that he vanished up the stairs. Emi leaned up to Finns ear "We must part for a bit, but come by my room tonight around midnight ok?" Finn blushed deeply realizing what she most likely was planning. However due to his circumstance he wasn't able to turn down her request. " .." And with that Emi lessened her grip on him and made her way up the stairs giving him a wink before disappearing as well. Finn made his way up to his guest room and collapsed onto the bed, looking up at the ceiling thinking of the night Emi had planned.
(Here it is! Another chapter! I hope you all are enjoying my Oc. I was soo excited and happy with the new episode and the game that just came out I felt it a great time to finish a chapter for you all. Tho I had to pull myself from the game -3-.
