A/N: Enough with the wild goose chase for now, so here's what happened... (ps. enjoy :D)

"Don't be paranoid! She's not being herself, you know that, so don't–don't get jealous..." Marie was walking around her room, saying this to her reflection in the mirror every once in a while.

The other night she was at the lab because she pointlessly got mad to Kitty, like yeah, she was kissing her boyfriend. What's the big deal? She lightly banged her head on the mirror then messed her hair up. What is this stupid feeling she that's been bugging her? Didn't Jean and the Professor explain everything to her? "Kitty's sick...Kitty's sick...try to understand that...she's not stealing your boyfriend..."

But no matter how many times she has said it to herself, she ends up feeling like a goner. She looked at herself, she's being miserable. Did Kitty, wished for this to happen? "You're the girlfriend, and she's just the best friend," she said to herself, but she could still remember the way Bobby kissed Kitty that night.

The sound of a landing aircraft made her look outside her window. What is that noise? But she cannot see what it was, so she decided to go outside.

"Oh it's just the Blackbird," she said to herself. She wanted to go back inside her room, but she thought that going back inside will just make her paranoid again

She decided to do something productive, but when she saw the stairs that led to the attic, she was somehow pulled into it. Upstairs, was a room filled with shelves and cabinets–most of them are filled with the school's archives, old student records, and some photo albums.

She opened a cabinet and dust flew all over the place. After letting the dust settle and sneezing many times, one by one she checked the albums and tried to find any familiar face. So far, she saw Jean, Scott, Storm and Hank when they were still students then she saw a photograph with the Professor and Raven when they were still young. Soon enough, she saw their photographs on the album on the second to the last row.

She sat in a corner and began to look at each content of the album. They were still young there. Memories began to flash inside her head. Their first day in class, the time when she became friends with John and Bobby, then afterward with Kitty. The time when John would always get them in trouble and many other memories that made her smile. As she turned a page, she saw a picture of Bobby and Kitty. By the looks of it, it was the time they went to a mountain lodge for vacation

"Marie, Kitty is Bobby's best friend," she reminded herself. She turned the page and checked the other contents before she closed the album. She checked her watch and realized that she's been there for almost two hours now. She leaned her head against the wall and began to feel drowsy.

The Blackbird has returned after dropping Logan and the others. Jean, Alex, Hank, and Storm were immediately greeted by the Professor, Raven, and Erik. "Where are the others?"

"They continued the search on wheels. We can't find Seth's car if we're high above the sky, so probably it would be easier for them to find it that way." Jean explained

"And we also wanted to help with the thing going on in here," Hank added.

"Is that so? I'll try searching for them again with the Cerebro," the Professor, Raven and Erik left to try another attempt to find Kitty; Hank and Alex followed them to see if there's anything they could do to help.

Storm went to the surface to tend to the school duties Professor Xavier has been neglecting ever since Kitty got abducted. Jean, on the other hand, went to the library to search for clues to where Genosha is.

She was walking along the shoreline. The sun is setting to the west and the sky is painted a mixture of orange and pink, it has this psychedelic effect at the same time it was quite a perfect blend. The waves crashed on her feet as she walked over the wet sand. The sound of the docking ships and the squawks of the albatrosses filled her ears. This just what she needed, a place of peace. Away from all the depression she is facing lately.

She closed her eyes and filled her lungs with the scent of the ocean, but as soon as she opened her eyes everything around her has changed. The water was tainted red, more like blood, the sky was filled with smoke and everything was destroyed. At a distance, she saw people fighting, more like mutants, but suddenly a giant serpent-like creature emerged from the sea and breathed fire on them. She ran to where the burning people is, and with a sick look on her face she realized that it was her friends who are burning. Logan, Scott, Piotr, John...Bobby! They're on fire, literally.

With a loud gasp, she was awoken. She's been sleeping in that corner for hours now. What was that dream about again? Nevermind, probably it's not that important. As she rose to her feet, she felt a sharp wave of pain struck her chest. What was that about?

The Professor continued to search for the location of Kitty and Seth, but then again he failed. Still, he doesn't lose hope. The fate of both mutants and humans rests on the success of this mission. If they were to fail, the Neo race may one day march up to their lands and start annihilating them for good. He thought of a different way to search Kitty, but then as if something struck him in his chest made him distressed.

"Charles, what is it?" Raven asked.

He had a vision, something terrible is going to happen to Logan and the others.

"Charles...Charles" Erik shook his arm.

"Go get Jean and Storm. You need to go to Maine, I can feel something bad is going to happen to them."

Jean left the library and decided to go to her office, but on her way she saw a picture frame with everyone's faces on it. She smiled and had the urge to have a closer look. She grabbed the frame, but something just came over her and made her drop it.

"Jean, what's wrong?" the voice of Storm from behind asked her.

"N–nothing. I just–"

"Jean, Storm, we have an emergency," Hank said. The three took the elevator and headed back to where the ship is.

"What's the emergency Hank?" Storm asked

"I'm not sure, but the Professor said we have to hurry" Hank replied.

The Blackbird set for the skies once again. Rogue, who was still in the attic, saw the aircraft flew across the sky, then with a grave expression on her face she remembered her dream.
