Another revision!
Watching Luffy knock down the stone gate I smirked as we walked in.
"Now, which one of you is Arlong?"
Letting my claws lengthen I watched Luffy as he approached Arlong.
"Watch your backs and stick to the plan."
The boys nodded at me while Luffy punched Arlong and sent him flying. As a handful of fishmen moved to attack Luffy, Sanji walked over and kicked them out of the way. Nodding once we walked over to our captain. Listening as Hachi finally recognized Zoro and I, yelling that we tricked him, and calling us a bastard and a bitch. Rolling my eyes I looked around as he made a sound like a horn, no doubt calling something towards us. Feeling the ground shake I looked towards the gate, waiting for something to happen as Usopp screamed next to me. Finally we saw a wave coming in that only grew as it got closer to the island. Hachi called it Momoo as a giant sea cow appeared with a lump on its head.
"Oh, poor baby."
It leaned over and looked at Luffy and Sanji as it began to tear up.
"Well look who's back."
"Seems he's a friend of the fishmen."
I looked at Sanji and Luffy, quickly figuring out that Sanji and Luffy were the ones to attack the poor thing, Momoo turned and started to leave, causing Hachi to scream at it.
"Hey stop! Where are you going? Get back here Momoo! You can't just leave Momoo!"
"Leaving? Now now isn't that a shame?"
Momoo stopped when Arlong started to talk.
"But, I suppose if you really want to runaway then who am I to stop you? Well then?"
Momoo turned and roared at us.
"What the hell is its problem?"
Luffy smirked and volunteered to take out the cow, watching as Luffy dug his feet into the cement before twisting his body and grabbing Momoo's horns.
"Boy's we need to move."
"What's he gonna do?"
I growled and pulled Sanji and Zoro out of the way as Luffy pulled Momoo out of the water and started swinging the cow around and taking out the fishmen, and almost us, in the process.
"Oh my God, he's gonna kill us."
"Luffy that was stupid! Are you trying to kill us too?"
I laughed at Usopp as we walked over to our captain. All of a sudden Luffy started rocking sideways and it didn't take long to realize he was stuck, hiding a laugh I reached to help him as the two fishmen from earlier started talking
"How dare you hurt out brothers! It would seem we need to fight, too."
"Looks like we need to teach them the differences between our species."
I sighed as Zoro spoke up while I continued to try and get Luffy unstuck.
"The main forces finally show up, huh?"
"Seems like they're gonna step up."
He nodded as Hahi stood up and took a deep breath.
"What the hell?"
"Chris?"
I nodded and shifted, getting hit with Hachi's ink, sticking out my tongue I looked at my ruined fur, hearing a cracking I looked up to see Hachi walking towards us with a giant piece of concrete, growling I let Luffy wrap his arms around my stomach as I started running, trying to get him unstuck as Sanji protected us from Hachi. Growling my thanks I started running again as Usopp grabbed Luffy's legs and began to pull; we decided to leave the fight to Zoro and Sanji. All of a sudden Luffy lost his grip on my fur and went flying into the one of the fishmen before rebounding back to his original spot. Sighing I walked over to him, glaring up at him as he sighed.
"Yeah, I know."
Shaking my head I watched as Arlong finally stood up and started walking towards us, saying something about an interesting game, crouching down I started growling at him, hiding how sick I was feeling from the ink on my fur as it started to stick to my skin.
"I'm going to beat you up!"
I looked up and watch as Luffy tried to punch Arlong only for the fishman to grab Luffy's arm.
"Do you really think you can beat us?"
"So what if we do?"
I smirked at Sanji while turning back to Arlong.
"We do, stupid-head! Let go!"
I barked a warning at Arlong as Zoro made a comment.
"Sounds like he has something to say."
I gasped as Arlong dug his hand into the concrete and picked up Luffy while he was still stuck.
"People with Devil Fruit powers can't swim! Though, even people without powers would sink in this situation!"
Panic started to set in as we realized Arlong was planning to throw Luffy into the sea. Luffy responded by trying to punch Arlong only for the fishman to clamp his sharp teeth down on his arm, causing Luffy to scream and bite Arlong's arm, with that Arlong threw Luffy into the water, cursing I backed a few steps before running and jumping into the water after him, vaguely spotting Zoro stopping Sanji from jumping in after Luffy as well, telling him to let me handle it until they got rid of the fish before I was surrounded by water. Shifting back, I knew I could swim better in this form than the other, stretching my arms out I kept moving, well aware of the oil still clinging to my body and poisoning my system as I finally spotted the sinking Luffy, reaching my hand out I grabbed his hand and let him pull me closer, turning I focused on his feet, digging my claws into the concrete I couldn't get enough force behind the move to do any damage. Looking at Luffy I knew he couldn't last much longer, as an idea hit me as I held up a finger so he knew I would be back. Kicking off the ground I quickly swam to the surface, gasping in the air as I reached the surface before swimming to the shore, staying in the water I spotted a bag with in reach, reaching over I grabbed the plastic, grateful it didn't have any holes in it as I took another deep breath before swimming back to Luffy, keeping the bag close I placed it over his head, allowing him to breath in the small air hole, smiling at him I went back to his legs, fixing my legs so they were held down by the concrete block before I started clawing at the concrete, chipping it away little by little, trying not to panic as my body started to pulse with the lack of air. Feeling a hand on my shoulder I looked up at Luffy, swimming up I took a breath from the air hole before going back to the concrete around his legs, feeling my body shift I shook my head, knowing I changed because my body was getting weaker, my skin started to burn with the ink. As my paws were starting to bleed I realized something, shaking my head I turned and used what little breath I had left to howl, waiting a minute, I prayed this was going to work. All of a sudden I spotted the sea cow Momoo approaching me with caution. Swimming to him I placed my forehead to his, willing the creature to help me. As I felt it nod I swam back and watched as Momoo literally bit Luffy free, nodding my thanks it nodded and started swimming away as I let Luffy throw his arm around my shoulders, tossing the bag to the side as I started swimming, when we were close to the surface I spotted Sanji swimming towards us, I growled as one of the fishmen caught him from behind. Shaking my head I knew getting Luffy to the surface was my first priority. Reaching the surface I watched as Luffy grabbed the dock, allowing me to climb onto the deck before gently pulling him onto the dock, nodding my head at him as he patted my head, turning I took a deep breath before jumping back into the water, ignoring how much pain my body was in.
