Four Months Later...9/30/2013 9:00 AM
Today is the day Liv and I find out what the sex of the baby is.
"Olivia Benson-Rollins!" Nurse Michael yells.
"That's me!" Liv yells back. She gets up and makes her way over to nurse Michael. I stand up and make my way over to the two of them. We follow nurse Michael to an exam room. He quickly takes Liv's vitals and leaves the room. A couple of minutes later...there's a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Liv and I yell in unison. The door opens. Alysse steps into the room and shuts the door behind her.
"Hello ladies. How are you doing?"
"We're doing well. A little nauseous; but other than that, I'm doing ok."
"That's good. What do you say we take a look at your baby?"
"Do you want me to take my shirt off?" Liv asks Alysse.
"Yes." Alysse says.
"Ok." After Liv takes her shirt off, she lies down on the exam table. After Alysse gets the machine ready, she wheels it over to Liv. After squirting some gel onto the transducer, she places the transducer on Liv's belly, and starts moving it around. A couple of minutes later...
"You're baby looks healthy. Ten fingers and ten toes. Would you like to know the sex of your baby?"
"Yes!" Liv and I say in unison.
"Ok...you guys are having a boy. Congratulations." Alysse says.
"A boy? We're having a boy?" I ask Alysse.
"Yes. You're having a boy. Congratulations." Alysse says.
"We're having a boy baby. A boy. I'm so excited." I say excitedly.
"We're having a boy. A boy." Liv says excitedly.
"Congratulations guys. I'm going to clean you up and give you another prescription for pre-natal vitamins." Alysse cleans the gel off of Liv's tummy and gives her another prescription for pre-natal vitamins.
"I'll see you guys in two months. Bye." Alysse says as she leaves the room. After Liv puts her shirt back on, the two of us exit the exam room and make our way to the front desk. We quickly schedule another appointment, exit the office, and make our way to our car.
