Chapter Twenty-One: Listen

The night air was still. The sea breeze was gently floating in and out on the island and everything seemed reserved and peaceful in the village. Only a few torches lit the paths that curled through the town.

At a small hut, a fierce mother was curled around her hatchling. Her dark wing was covering him and she kept him warm by her soft breathing. However, her sleep was soon to be disturbed by the sound of a loud commotion coming from the Village. Though it only seemed loud because of her keen hearing. She lifted her head twitching her ears wondering if she was even hearing correctly. When she realized the sound was what she thought it was she took a second to decide if she should go. Her yellow eyes cast down at her sleeping boy who was lazily chewing on a branch in his sleep. It was something that he picked up on by his father. Giving it a once over she knew he would be fine. She made her way through the outer stable doors and down the path.

Her ears perked up when hearing the same sound again and she became a little bit more excited. She took her steps a little faster. When she reached the top of the hill she saw who she was looking for. The dragon was to bounce her way down there but froze when she heard the people were speaking harshly. That and she could feel the thick tension that was radiating off every single one of them. When her mate's eyes caught hers she quickly slunk down in the grass hiding just as he told her too. She heard chains rattle and the small group pushed something towards one of the huts. She didn't at all like what she was seeing and she took one more look at her mate before heading back to the stable.

It was a bit after that interaction when she felt the softest nuzzle against her cheek. Her sleepy eyes looked above her and were rewarded with seeing his yellow-green tired ones.

His tiredness didn't stop him from giving her a small lick on top of her head and the low purr that radiated off him made her aware that he was happy to be home. He curled around her in a way that his wing was one her shoulders, but it allowed his mate to return the small kiss he gave earlier. He softly smiled but was more thrilled to see his grey son peacefully sleeping. He couldn't explain it but he was so proud that his son was even doing that. He lopped his head to the side and grinned. He felt his mate nuzzle him again, but at that point, he was too tired and just fell asleep, with the female falling shortly behind.

She woke up to the sound of her son's soft cries and as she was getting up to go get him her heart stopped. Her blue eyes widen in fear for the baby's cries were now soft giggles. The young mother bolted up and ran upstairs in a panic. In her hands was one of the iron fire pokers and shew as about to club whoever held her son with it. However, when she came face to face with the man she dropped it in disbelief.

"Hiccup."

He smiled at her, "You're going to make it difficult for him to go back to sleep if you make too much noise."

Eira completely ignored him. "You're home?"

"I'm home." He bounced Kael lightly trying to rock him back to sleep.

"For how long?" she walked up to him and instinctively she wanted to hold their son, but the young father didn't want to hand him over. She saw the tears well up in his eyes and she smiled.

"As long as I want."

"You mean…"

"We got him. We finally got him."

He felt his wife's hands slide up his arms to his shoulder and when he looked at her he used his free hand to tangle in her hair at the back of her neck. He kept her close as he leaned in to kiss her. He would have to continue further but with his son still in his other arm, he pulled away. He cupped her cheek and tenderly said, "I missed you."

She leaned into his touch and kissed the inside of his wrist. She wanted to say something in return but she couldn't muster anything up. All that wouldn't escape were small droplets of tears.

"Eira?"

She shook her head and only smiled at him. "I'm fine. It's just-"

"I know. I know," he pulled her close to hug her. He took the opportunity to remember what it was like to hold his wife and child again. It was something that he never wanted to miss again. Though he knew he had to put his baby boy back in his cradle to sleep more comfortably. He let her go to do so, but before settling him in, he kissed the top of his head. He returned to his wife holding her close as they walked back downstairs. Before that he almost tripped over the fire poker she had brought up. He gave her a puzzled look and asked, "Were you going to hit me with this?"

She gave a sheepish chuckle, "If you were an intruder. Yes."

He gulped, "Good thing I'm not."

"A very good thing." She smiled and once they reached the bottom of the stairs he surprised her by pulling her very close to him.

"You want to know another good thing." His voice hinted playfully. "I can do this more." He pressed his lips against hers capturing her small gasp. His hands already slipping underneath her tunic to touch her skin. He was about to take it off when she interjected.

"Hiccup. What's gotten into you?"

"I haven't seen my wife in days. Can you blame me for wanting to be as close to her as possible?"

She shook her head, but made one request, "Can we got to our room so we don't wake our son?"

That he could do. He swooped her up kissing her as they made their way to the bed. When they made it there she landed on top of him straddling his waist and she had to stop herself from having their head collide with one another. They both laughed at the near incident and it was also then that Eira took notice at her husband's appearance.

His skin was badly windburn and a light layer of dirt covered him. Then there were dark circles under his eyes and as she combed her fingers through his auburn hair she could feel the sweat and grime in it.

"Eira?"

"You look so tired Hiccup," she said softly and it was clear she was concerned with his well-being.

He sighed and it felt like at that moment that all energy he had was completely drained. "I don't even remember when the last time I actually slept was."

She rolled off him and kissed his temple. "Get some rest love, you need it."

The young father nodded and relaxed. He murmured, "I need it. Especially for the trail in the morning."

That caught her attention, "Trail?"

"Mhm," he paused trying to keep his brain function still working to answer her. "To see what to do with him."

"You're not throwing him back in a cell?"

He shook his head. "He escaped outcast prison. That alone is grounds for a new trial and even with stealing of ships and the threats he made towards Berk. He's lucky if there is even a trail."

"What does that mean?"

He tried but he couldn't even open his eyes to look at her. He was that tired. "It means," He sighed, "Dagur is most likely going to be put to death."

She was shocked, "What? You can't be serious."

"If that's what the council decides. Then yes." He waited for a response, yet when he didn't hear one he took it as a sign she understood. He was out like a light because of that.

That wasn't the case though. Everything that the ex-chief had done, that she knew of, did not seem like a great reason to warrant that type of response. And with her husband worn out the way he was, wasn't going to be any help to answer her questions. There was only one person who could and she was going to find out.

She strapped her boots on and changed out of her nightclothes into her regular ones before heading outside. The walk was quiet and she used the time to collect her thoughts. A small part of her was nervous and wondering if what shew as doing was the right thing. That part was pushed aside each step she took towards the building that held the crazed man. She had questions and he was going to answer them.

The last time Eira was here was when she was behind the bars herself. She never would have guessed her life would have changed so dramatically after that first day. Now, however, she just had to convince the guard to let her inside.

When she got up to him she was prepared to talk her way inside but was surprised to find the Viking fast asleep.

"You would think there would be more security for a highly insane war criminal," she thought. Either way, she made her way inside very careful not to wake up the guard. She only stopped when she heard the man talk to her.

"I thought I told you if you disturb me one more time I would knock your head off." He finally turned to look at her and was taken back. "Well, you're new."

"Hm."

He stood up and went as far as the bars to go greet her. "Why are you new?"

"The same reason why you are I suppose," Eira said calmly but still refused to take any step closer just in case the man inside did try something.

"Ah," Dagur said. "So you are also a deranged person who was captured by a whiney string bean of a teen and his pesky dragon and now waiting to be killed because of past mistakes."

"Not in so many words," she replied though she did find it amusing on how he described her husband.

"So how did you escape?"

"Help from an unlikely person."

Dagur studied her wondering what her angle was being there inside the jail. If she was smart she would have figured out that he could easily escape, take her as a captive, and leave the island without anyone knowing. Yet, she still stood there making him admire her bravery. "So am I to assume you are that person for me?"

"Answer some questions for me, then maybe."

Dagur scoffed a little at that answer. "And why would I do that? And who are you that you are able to help me? Also, if you haven't noticed I am the guy this whole island hates. So why in Valhalla would you do this? What are you getting out of it?"

She stared him down. On the inside, she was freaking out. She had no clue why she was here or if it would even help the man in the cage, but for her own sanity, all she could do was try. She took a deep breath trying to calm her nerves. "I'm just returning a favor that I received, so you can either accept it or I can go back home into my bed and catch some sleep before the sun comes up. The choice is your Dagur the Derange, ex-chief of the Berserker tribe." When she didn't receive an answer she turned on her heel and began to walk out of there. She only paused when he cried out.

"Wait! Just wait." Dagur didn't like it but he knew his chances were slim to none of getting out of this situation cleanly liked he hoped. "It would seem I do need your help. But if you're going to you have to know one thing."

"What's that?"

"I'm still the Chief of the Berserkers. I don't know why everyone says ex. I never died nor did I past the title, so everyone needs to stop calling me that. It gets me so-" he didn't finish speaking. Instead, he punched the stone wall leaving a small crack. Then he did something that Eira wasn't expecting. Dagur began to take a deep even breathes and humming a mantra to calm back down. When his focus was back was when her interrogation really began.

The morning came way too early for the young Haddock male. He didn't know what today was going to bring or if what he wanted was even going to be heard. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He loathed being this type of person. His anxiety always picked up tenfold and he wondered a thousand different ways on how he could screw things up. After one more sigh, he picked himself up and made his way to go to the Great Hall.

Before he even made it to the front door of his home he stopped. His tired cracked voice spoke, "You're up early."

"Never went back to bed," Eira said as she was feeding Kael. Her back was killing her from sitting on a hard stool all night.

Hiccup could tell something was off and went to rub her shoulders, yet she flinched at his touch causing Kael to be interrupted. He pulled away and apologized.

"It's fine," she softly bounced her son and tried to get him to eat again. Luckily, he did and she sighed in relief.

Hiccup watched her but her movements looked very sluggish. "I can stay and watch him while you sleep."

Eira shook her head. "No, the meeting is taking place soon isn't it?"

He nodded, but he had hoped she would have taken his offer. That's why he continued to try to convince her to take it. "My family comes first though."

She didn't bite. "Hiccup. You know this is important. What's up?"

"I can't look after my wife?"

It was a question that he seemed to use when he was uncertain about something and wanting to get out of it. She knew it all too well and that's what concerned Eira. If Hiccup didn't go to the meeting then all her hard work would be for nothing. For she didn't think she could speak if he wasn't present.

"Hiccup what's wrong?"

The sigh that escaped him gave her a clue that he was going, to tell the truth. And did he. He rambled in and out on his thoughts, ideas, and how he felt. Any chance Eira had to speak was cut off as he continued to talk when he finally finished he looked like he was out of breath. He looked at her waiting for her reaction to all the new information. Yet all he could see from her was admiration and love.

Her hand was warm on his cheek and he leaned into it. "Would you feel better if I went with you?" he thumb gently stroking it.

He would love nothing more for her to be next to him, but when he looked at their son finishing his meal he said something that broke her heart, "No. You're more needed here with Kael, taking care of him and that."

She didn't know what to say. It felt like he had just stuck a knife in her heart to have her husband think she was only good at just staying at home and taking care of babies. She didn't even have time to argue with him about it before he kissed her and told her he was off to the trail now.

When he reached the door he heard her call his name, but once again he cut her off, "I have to go Eira. I'll see you when it's over." Then he left.

She sighed in aggravation. If he didn't want her there she could understand. Council meeting did seem to consist of only the men in the village, but he could have given her a chance to speak to tell him what she had figured out from her talk with Dagur. If anything that was what was frustrating her the most. Her husband not wanting to listen to her. The sound of Kael burping brought her attention back. She smiled and cleaned the small amount of spit-up from his mouth. "Are you all done?"

Kael responded with a giggle and reaching for her.

He was pulled close to her so she could kiss his cheek then she held him so his tiny hands could explore her facial features. A small mistakes on her part when he pulled a lock of her hair too hard. "Ow, sweetie. Not so rough." She gently took his hand away and kissed it. The small act made the boy giggle and his mother smile. "Now that you're finished. Mommy is going to help daddy, so you know what that means?"

He squealed stuffing his hand into his mouth.

"That's right!" you get to hand out with your friend Lillias!"

Another squeal and a couple of hiccups later Eira was preparing Kael for his trip. Fortunately for her, the Ingermens were very happy to watch him and right away the two younglings were joyfully interacting with one another. Kael was even distracted enough that he didn't notice his mother slip out of the house.

The brunette took a deep breath before opening the grand doors to the Great Hall. "Why is it that the door is always louder during situations like this?" she thought as she pushed the thing open and everyone there froze and looked at her. She gulped and took a few steps towards them, but stopped when one of them addressed her.

"This is a council meeting Miss. A very serious one in fact. No one is allowed in once it has started."

"I-I know, but-" she paused to calm herself and scanning all of them and how they were glaring at her she took in some relief when her eyes landed on her husband. "Hiccup."

Though his own green eyes did not reflect hers. "Eira, what are you doing here?"

"Hiccup, I just wanted-"

He cut her off when he noticed she wasn't carrying their son. "Where's Kael? Is he okay?"

"He's fine," she told him, "he's with the Ingermens. Hiccup I need to-"

"You need to be at home," once again he cut her off. "I thought it was clear that you would wait there."

"Yes, but-" Again she was stopped but not by her husband. This time it was Astrid who was sitting right next to Hiccup.

"Maybe you should listen to Hiccup and do what he says. I suggest you go home and attend to your son until this is over." Her blue eyes were very serious and held no sympathy for the girl.

"I will, but-"

"Please Eira," Hiccup begged. The situation she was creating was making him more nervous and causing some embarrassment from some of the villagers staring at him. Staring at her. Judging both of them at the immaturity they brought to them. "Wait at home for me."

"Hiccup."

He groaned and was about to speak to her again, but she yelled at him.

"Can't you listen for once?! All of you! Especially, when you have a man's life in your hands. You have too!"

Everyone, including Stoick was taken back by her outburst. It was just lucky for Eira that Stoick was the first one to regain his speech first. "What's on your mind Lass?"

She took a deep breath and whispered a thank you towards the Chief, but when he nodded she addressed them all. "Have any of you even talked to him? To Dagur I mean."

Stoick shook his head, "That's what we were deciding on now."

"Oh," she quietly said.

"Where do you stand on the idea?" the older Haddock asked.

The woman who had everyone's attention was very sheepish at the moment. She bit her bottom lip before stating, "I think I've already done that part for you." She waited for the backlash and she didn't wait long.

"What," Hiccup spoke with such disbelief that he almost sounded angry, but in reality, he was just frightened that she would take such a risk. Though it should have been and as she explained her motives he didn't know what to think.

"I just wanted to return the same kindness that was given to me when I was in the same predicament." She paused. "IF I didn't then I may not even be here now. It was only fair right?" Eira cast her eyes towards Hiccup to get any hint of support from him, yet it seemed that he was refusing to look at her. So she turned to look at the other. A few were nodding their approval, but when Stoick did it was a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. Some were still skeptical.

"Did he tell you anything?" Fishlegs asked. "Because when we brought him here he was just shouting nonsense."

"Actually, I think he told me a lot."

"Really?" Hiccup asked in surprise. A lot of them seemed to be.

Eira just nodded not looking towards him.

"Well, what did he say?"

"That's the thing," she started. "Despite what we all think Dagur wasn't escaping to get his revenge. He heard a rumor while he was imprisoned. That Oswald the Agreeable was still alive. He says that the man was his father."

Astrid scoffed, "It's just the same nonsense he told us when we captured him. We know that he killed his dad to gain control of the Berserker Tribe."

"He says he made that rumor up to show his authority within the other tribes," Eira explained.

"And you believed him?" she jostled,

"Do you have any proof that I shouldn't? Do any of you have proof that the old Chief even died? Because I don't see a tribe commending any type of murder, especially when it comes to their Chief."

One man backed her up on the idea and a couple more joined. Another was still not convinced that the man had changed.

"Even if it was true that Oswald was still alive. It does not change the fact that the man repeatedly attacked your husband and friends."

She sighed, but she spoke the truth. "And I would attack them too if they kept attacking me. I think we would have that right to defend ourselves." She sighed. She didn't know if she was getting through to any of them, but she still had to say what she was told. She had to tell them all what she had figured out. She owed Dagur that much. "Look decide what you want, but these are the facts I know. Dagur escaped prison to search for his father and for being captured again. If he really was trying to get his revenge he did a poor job in doing so. He had ample time, opportunity and resources to attack Berk, especially with the Dragon Riders out there chasing him and not here."

"It's because we have dragons on the island."

"Yet, the Dragon Riders are our best line of defense and we were defenseless for months," Eira shot back.

"W-well we still had a few Vikings that can ride. Then we also had Dust, who is another Night Fury. That would send anyone reeling in the other direction."

She was getting aggravated with the Viking men, but thankfully Fishlegs piped in.

"But Dagur doesn't know about Dust or that Berk basically has three Night Furies in its mitts. Heck, I'll even wager that Dagur doesn't even know who you even are within the tribe, huh Eira?"

She smiled and shook her head. "No Fishlegs he doesn't. I kept that part a secret just in case."

Stoick seemed pleased with hearing this. "That's how you were able to get him to confined in you so easily."

Eira nodded but in the end, her little spiel was done. She completed her job and did what she set out to do. All that was left was to go home and wait for Hiccup to arrive. She was not looking forward to that. She knew he was disappointed and angry at her for what she had done. And his demeanor throughout the whole thing spoke it loud and clear. "Just take everything I have told you about this man into consideration."

"We will Lass," Stoick promised. "Now head home, you did well."

She smiled but it faded when she looked at Hiccup who still had a look of disappointment in his eyes. She turned on her heels and tried not to cry as she walked out. She also tried not to dwell on the scene of Astrid comforting Hiccup and him actually acknowledging her.

Kael was happily laughing on the fur blanket his mother had set up for him. He was being entertained by Dust who was playing a peekaboo game with the babe with her tail fin. Every time she would shut it down revealing her face, Kael would shriek in joy.

Granite would be ecstatic too. Whenever his mother would make Kael laugh he would bound around her. All of it just added to the joy circulating in the room and it cheered up the anxious mother.

It all came to a stop when the front door opened. Toothless walked in and shortly after Hiccup followed.

Dust, already sensing the storm the human male brought, stood upending her game with Kael. She quickly picked up her own offspring and walked her family into her man-made nest.

This of course made the baby cry now that his entertainment was gone. His hands and feet were everywhere as he cried, wanting his toy back.

Hiccup went to get him but was too late. Eira had already snatched him up. He watched her hold him as she softly bounced him coo-ing at him in a gentle hush tone. She even hummed a couple of notes of his lullaby. It didn't do any good. The little guy was still incredibly fussy. He walked up to them and heard her apologize.

"I'm sorry. He's just a little cranky since Dust left without warning."

He placed his hands on her shoulder and he felt her become very stiff and tense. The small gasp she let out only gave him a clue on how she was feeling. It upset him, just like it was upsetting their son. He leaned over her shoulder and whispered in her ear. "Let me try something."

She only nodded as he continued.

He placed his large hand over his son's eyes, which caught him off guard to be quiet for a few moments. In his goofiest happiest voice he asked his son, "Now where's Mommy?" He pulled his hand away quickly and said, "There she is!"

Kael looked up and gave his mother a very gummy smile. Though it quickly turned to puzzlement when Hiccup covered his eyes and repeated the process. This time when Kael was exposed to his parents he let out a loud squeal and kicked his feet ecstatically. Hiccup did this a couple more times until they realized that he was getting bored with it.

Hiccup took his son from Eira, "I'm going to see if he'll take a nap or at least be content so we can talk."

That terrified Eira, but she agreed. And as Hiccup ascended the stairs she tried not to cry. When he came back down she wiped away a tear and tried to be strong.

Hiccup seeing this was very concern, "Eira?"

"I'm sorry Hiccup," she tried not to cry, "I know I should have told you what I was doing, but you were so tired. Then when I went I didn't even think he would tell me anything." She was crying. She couldn't help it as she was blubbering now. "Then at the meeting… I'm so so sorry I disappointed you, but please… please don't be angry with me. I didn't-"

"Eira, stop." He was already next to her, his hands on her shoulders. He even brushed some of the tears away as she kept sobbing. "Eira I'm not disappointed in you. I'm not even angry." He paused collecting his thoughts. "Well, that not really true. I'm a little troubled that you would do something so reckless." He shook his head while she bowed hers. He wouldn't allow it and made her look at him by tipping her head up gently. "But mad and disappointed. Never did that cross my mind when you came inside the Great Hall today." He heard her sob and he smiled trying to comfort his wife. "Eira… Love… How can I make you see how proud I am of you? You went in and talked to all of us with such ease, something that I was so nervous in doing ever since I came home. Yet here you are."

Tears were brimming in his eyes along with hers. "I did ask you if you wanted me with you."

"I know," he said still holding the tears back, "I know and I wish I would have said yes, but with Kael." He sighed, "Thought it was a better decision if you were with him. Maybe we should have switched roles, huh?"

She chuckled at the joke but didn't agree with it. "No, you seemed to be doing well in there."

"I wish," he said, yet the words were laced with so much doubt. "I had to bring my friends to back me up just so I could get a word in edgewise."

"So that's why Astrid was there?"

He nodded, "And Fishlegs. It seems kind of silly that a future Chief would need to call on his friends for help, but…"

She held his hand and gave it a small squeeze. "Everyone needs someone Hiccup."

"Not you apparently."

She hesitated before saying, "I needed you."

Hiccup scrunched up his face as he was mentally kicking himself. "I dropped the ball on that one, didn't I?"

Eira used her hands to show him a small gap between her index finger and thumb indicating he made a tiny mistake. "Just this much."

He sighed and pulled her close mumbling in her hair at how sorry he was. The embraced that he received back from her was enough confirmation that she forgave him. Holding her so close gave him an idea though. "Say have you been using something new in your hair?"

"What?" she was bewildered, "No, why?"

"Really?" he smirked as he began to set his plan in motion. "You sure?" He kissed her temple at first and then he slowly began to move lower towards her neck. "Because it seems like something is different."

"Hiccup," she giggled, "What are you doing?"

He smirked continuing his mission. His hands sneaking their way to her hips and then caressing her sides. All while kissing her neck and any exposed skin in that area. "Finding out why my wife is so attractive." He nipped softly at a sensitive part of her skin. Then hearing her moan, he knew he had her and his smirk grew a little bit wider. He started playing with the waistline of her pants gently rubbing small circles on her hips.

Eira pushed into his touch trying to hold back another moan. "Hiccup, we do have our son upstairs, remember?" Though her actions spoke differently as she was massaging his shoulders and responding to his touch.

"Want to make another?" the corner of his mouth turned up as he stared at her and she had no idea if he was joking or serious. When he pulled her closer he didn't give her time to respond as he started to kiss her. When he pulled away after thoroughly enjoying how she was reciprocating him her eyes fluttered open.

Eira was still in shock at what the man had asked her and with the way he kept up his tactics it was hard to even think. "Are you-" she moaned feeling his hands slide up her tunic along her back as his lips worked their magic on her neck and collar. "Serious?"

He finally froze when the joke he told was finally sinking into something more. He shrugged, "I mean we can, can't we? You're feeling alright for that, aren't you?"

She nodded, "Just are we really want to try for another child so soon?"

"N-no," he told truthfully, "But I would really like to practice."

That got her to laugh, "Okay then… Let's practice."

"Yeah?" he grinned and went to kiss her again, but was stopped by her finger on his lips.

"After you check-up on Kael."

"Done deal," he said excitedly as he raced up the stairs. It only took seconds to hear his happy reply, "He's asleep!" It was the wrong call for Kael woke up not too pleased with his father's shouting. "Never mind," he pouted.

She laughed, "Leave him in his crib and rock him while humming his lullaby. He'll go back to bed soon enough."

Soon her husband's off-tune humming reached her ears. She cringed at a couple of notes but was smiling at him when he came back downstairs whispering, "He's out." Yet he was in for a shock when he came face to face with just his wife in her bindings. He swallowed the dryness in his throat. All the blood in his body pulsated and he felt himself grow hard.

Eira untangled her hair and let it fall down her back. She gave him a sly smile and asked, "You still want to practice?"

Hiccup nodded wide-eyed and allowed Eira to lead him to their bedroom. That didn't last long and he had taken control once their door was shut. Both were moaning through their kiss as hands fumble their way across their partner's body trying to take off each other's clothing. Hiccup somehow led them to their bed and Eira fell on top of it. She gave him a small smile as she laid there out of breath, but it didn't last for long when he got back on top of her, kissing her deeply. He also tried to make quick work by taking off his pants. Though through his haste he completely forgot about his leg and his pants got caught up in it. He groaned, "Stupid peg leg."

He felt her weight shift under him and noticed that she had moved more on the bed.

"Then why don't you come up here and I can help."

He agreed and sat next to her bringing his left leg up to work the prosthetic off. When he was doing that he felt her slim fingers wrap about his member and gently stroke it. He bit his bottom lip holding back a groan. "I thought you were going to help take this off?"

She smirked and teased him, "I thought this was helping?" She rubbed the tip with her thumb squeezing the base a little tighter.

He leaned in close to her, having his lips barely touch hers as he hushedly said, "You are a really bad tease you know that?"

"Hm," was all that left her lips before she kissed him. The kiss was kept up until she heard the click of the prosthetic come off. That was when she broke it and told him, "See I was helping."

"Uh-huh," he murmured while he trailed small kisses down her jaw as his hands worked on taking off the rest of her clothing. With all of it, gone Hiccup took his time roaming his hands over her body. Each small touch and squeezed he gave received him a quiet moan and he enjoyed every second. He kissed her collar pushing her down on the bed as he settled himself in between her legs. His lips traveled lower in between the valley of her breast and he felt her hips grind against his own. It made him smirk and he took his cock to rub against her opening causing her to rasp out his name.

"Eira," he moaned as he kept up his teasing, "Do you want me?" He already knew the answer by how wet she was, yet he wanted to hear her.

She could only nod and moan and with the way, he kept rubbing against her clit it was impossible to form any type of words.

He whispered in her ear and gently massaged her breast, "Tell me then Eira."

She groaned and turned her head to look at him. He made it very difficult to speak when his hands kept touching her and his hips kept grinding. She only managed to say his name, "Hiccup." She felt him gently kissing and biting her neck. "Please."

"Tell me then." He moved down lower softly massaging and suckling on her breast. He only had a couple of drops of her milk in his mouth before he stopped. He didn't want to waste any when his son needed it more. That's when he decided to move back up still waiting for her answer, "Well?" He felt his cock pulse against her.

She grind against him and in a breathless moan told him, "Yes! Hiccup I need you!" She was desperate for her husband to be inside her. "Please."

"As you wish," he moved to kiss her and push the tip of his dick inside her. He heard her gasp and felt her face contort in pain. He pulled away and asked, "Are you okay?"

Eira nodded trying to relax," Just been a while."

"We can go slow."

Him saying that was something Eira did not want to do. Not the way he worked her up so much and so without warning she had her legs around his waist and pushed his whole length inside her with a little bit of ease. Both gasped but soon Hiccup was making sure she was okay. She nodded yet felt him wipe a tear away.

He kissed her forehead, "You shouldn't have rushed it."

"You shouldn't be this big," she retorted smiling up at him. "Now if you don't move I'll move for ya."

"Yes, dear," he grinned, but it was soon replaced with a low groan as he rolled his hips. She was tight and very warm around him. He kept his pace steady as he rocked in and out of her. What she said next made him smirk.

"Why haven't we done this earlier?"

"Because you had a baby and gave me a scared." He kissed her pushing himself deep inside once more. They both moaned at the friction. He still kept the slow pace enjoying every twitch she gave him.

"Hiccup," she moaned holding onto him. Every so often her nails would scrape along his back. "Can you move faster?" She was breathless but she so desperately wanted to cum.

She received an answer when he shifted their position just enough where he could hold onto her hips to thrust more. He even gasped and groaned her name serval times, especially when he felt the familiar buildup of pleasure that let himself know he was close to cumming. He looked down loving how she was sprawled out with her back arching every time he hit that certain spot inside her. The way she was reacting, he knew she wasn't as close as he was. He panted and with his left hand reached between her legs and started to rub her clit gently.

That got her really going and it made him chuckle, especially when she was cursing under her breath. He watched as his wife withered beneath him and he gasped, "Oh, Eira tell me you're close."

The woman could only whimper as she bucked into him.

Hiccup didn't know what that meant, but he kept up his tactics of rubbing her clit and thrusting in and out. He only stopped for a moment when she leaned up to hold him close and instinctively he did the same to her. Her small moans and gasp in his ear let him believe she was at her limit, but what sealed it for him was when she grunted out his name and squeezed him tightly to her. He also felt her walls close around his cock and after a few more thrust he was right behind her in that bliss state. He also knew he emptied everything he had into her and if they were actually trying to have another child they were on a very good start.

Eira felt him roll over and pull her in close to him. She felt his heavy breathing on her shoulder and when she heard a winded, "I love you" come from him she smiled. "So," she started, "do you think that was enough practice?"

His lopsided grin was plastered on his tired face. "Give me about 20-30 minutes and I can give you around two."

She tiredly laughed and patted his head, "No, no. You did good in round one."

He pulled her close and kissed her cheek, "And you were amazing." He nuzzled her neck a little before resting his head on her shoulder. "Eira?"

"Hm?"

"I could sleep for a week."

She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. She wasn't going to respond because she already felt his even breathing upon her skin. Hiccup was out.

The nap didn't last long for their front door was being banged on. Both parents shot up in a panic and to add to their stress their son started to scream.

Hiccup quickly tried to put on his clothes while Eira quickly found her nightgown to slip over her since her clothes were scattered. Once dressed Hiccup went to the door as Eira raced upstairs.

Reaching the door and opening it Hiccup was greeted by his father. He wasn't excited to see the man because he knew what he was doing there. Though looking at his dad the man did look apologetic.

"Sorry son. If I knew the little guy was asleep I wouldn't have knocked so hard."

"It's fine," Hiccup said. "Eira's got him." They stood there in the threshold for a bit before he asked, "Do you want to come in or are we in a rush?"

"In a rush for what?" Eira asked walking down the stairs with Kael still sniffling back his tears.

Stoick walked in at this point to greet the mother and son. He never took a seat but did explain what he meant, "I'm taking Hiccup to the cell to release Dagur."

She was shocked, "You mean-"

The older male nodded, "Seems that what you did really persuaded the council. Myself even." He watched her happy but surprised face when hearing the news. "Did Hiccup not tell you?"

Both parents face became red as Hiccup answered for them, "We um became preoccupied with um family matters dad."

Eira just nodded agreeing with her husband.

"Oh," Stoick said, "Did you two still need more time with that?"

"No!" Hiccup and Eira shouted their blush darkening.

"No dad it's fine," Hiccup told but then had a hint of playfulness in his voice when addressing the lass, "We can discuss it later tonight, can't we dear?"

Eira was taken back by his boldness to tease her in front of his father, but she played along. "Of course love. We can discuss it all night long if we need too."

Stoick stood there not really sure what the young couple was talking about, though he had a feeling that not much discussion or words were going to be said at night with them. "So that means you're ready to go Hiccup?"

The younger male looked towards his wife wanting her to be there since she did most of the work for the man's freedom.

The mother looked at him with a calm smile somehow knowing what he was asking. "Go. I can catch up after I change this little fella, okay?"

He nodded and off the two men went.

The release of the ex-criminal was a little awkward since Dagur was adamant of hugging Hiccup and thanking the man profusely. Hiccup tried to settle the man down but when the nickname of 'brother' kicked back in the young man had enough. "Actually Dagur it wasn't me. If anything it was the young lady who you spoke with that convinced everyone."

"Young lady?" Dagur pondered trying to remember her. When he did his eyes lit up. "Oh, the pretty one! Yeah, really thought she was a hallucination. She's real?"

The young rider nodded but he now wasn't sure if he really wanted Eira meeting the other Chief.

"Well then, where is she? Defiantly want to thank her. Maybe even get her name. And you know she wasn't bad looking. Think she's single? I mean I have to repay her somehow."

That was getting under Hiccup's skin and he knew exactly what the deranged man meant by his words. It once cemented the idea of Eira defiantly not meeting him again. Right when Hiccup was about to tell him off and how it would just be best for him to be on his way, Dagur had spotted her.

"Look there she is!" He waved at her and when he ran up to her Hiccup followed shortly behind.

When the Chief of the Berserkers stopped in front of her she had to take a couple of steps back. He was much more intimidating outside of a cell. She held Kael close to her while he was in his sling. A little timid she said hello.

"And hello to you to… um…" Dagur trailed off.

"Eira," she told.

"Eira, huh. That's not really a furious name. Are you sure that's what it is?"

"Yes, that's her name Dagur." Hiccup stood up for her, "Try not to insult her."

"Of course. Of course," he said brushing off the lad irritating Hiccup even more. He turned to the lady in front of him and started to talk to her very fast and very expressive.

She was becoming loss at exactly what he was saying but was catching some of the compliments thrown her way. All she could do was smile and nod. That was until Kael was becoming fussy inside his sling. Her son's cries stopped the man's ranting.

"W-what is that?" he scanned around him until his eyes landed on her rearranging the sling. That's when he saw her pull the baby out trying to calm him. "Is that a kid?"

Eira smiled and nodded.

"Is it yours?" he seemed very off pudding when seeing the babe.

His reaction made her laugh and Hiccup even choked a little holding back his own. "Yes, Dagur this is my son." The mother said as she tried to settle the baby boy back down.

"You're a mom?" That is when he saw the gold band around her finger. "You're married!" then he calmed down and asked himself. "Why didn't I see that earlier?"

Again Eira nodded smiling brightly. "That is correct and to the wonderful man standing next to you even."

"Hiccup!"

The man walked over to Eira wrapping his arm around her waist and given the other chief an affirmative nod. As soon as he was near them Kael noticed and reached out for his dad to hold him. The father happily did as he lightly shuffled him into his arms making his son laugh.

Dagur was just astounded at the scene he was witnessing. He almost thought he really had gone berserk. He shook his head to clear it and then asked, "When did you become a father, brother?"

"Brother?" Eira gave a puzzled look at Hiccup. She then whispered so only that he could hear, "I thought you were joking about that."

Hiccup shrugged and balanced Kael in his arms. He turned to answer the question though, "A few months give or take some days." He smiled feeling his son grabbing onto his sleeve and tried to shove the small compass on his arm into his mouth. "No, no. that's not for you." He traded the tool for his knuckles and felt Kael's gums chew on them. "But yeah Dagur this is my family. My wife Eira," he smiled as he pulled her a bit closer. "and this little guy is Kael, our son."

"Why wasn't I aware of this?"

"Because battling each other every day doesn't really sit well for catching up on old times," Eira chimed in.

"Eira," Hiccup said in warning.

"No," she told him. "Hiccup I did my part. Dagur gets to have a life once more which I am sure he is grateful for." She turned to look at the man who was very much fearful of the tone she was using. He could only nod. "Now I can tell him how he almost messed up ours."

Hiccup sighed but gave a soft smile. "Okay. You ready for this Dagur because I am sure she has a few choice words for you."

"Do I have a choice?" he asked and saw Hiccup shake his head.

Eira sauntered up to the Berserker Chief. Then in a split second, she punched him square in his jaw.

Hiccup gasped in shock, while Dagur looked like the punch, didn't do much, yet was still a bit surprise at how physically strong she was.

"That was for sending my husband on a wild goose chase for your ass! Do you know how many months we missed together? How many nights I stayed up stressing whether he was dead or not, all while pregnant? I bet you don't even realize he almost missed the birth of our son. And believe me, you are glad he didn't or you would have more to answer for." She glared at him. All her rage of almost losing her family was coming out because she already lost one she wasn't going to lose the one she made.

Dagur was stone-cold through all this. It actually made Hiccup a little nervous. He didn't want the man to snap and take it out on his wife. Then again he was sure that she could handle herself. What shocked all of them though is when they heard the chief softly apologize.

"Did you just say sorry?" Hiccup asked.

Dagur nodded but was trying to keep his cool, "Though I don't appreciate you hitting me!" he took a deep breath, "But I get it. Wouldn't be too thrilled if I missed my kid's birth either." He took a look at Kael and chuckled when seeing him try for another piece off Hiccup's outfit. "He likes to chew huh?"

The father shrugged as the mother explained, "Not really he just likes to explore and when Daddy is wearing all the fun gadgets he wants to try all of them too."

Eira offered to take him to give Hiccup a break, but he refused. "I got him. Why not you take a break for the rest of the day."

"Are you sure?"

He nodded, "He's been fed, right?"

"Yes."

The father smiled, "Then we're good. If he wants more I'll come find you." He kissed her cheek and whispered, "or if I do." He smirked seeing her face burst into a beet red.

"Okay, I'll be at our home then," she stammered and went in the direction of the house.

Hiccup smiled and went back to helping Dagur. "Sorry about all that."

"No like I said kind of deserved it," he waved off. "Though you did seem to pick a fiery one."

"Yeah," Hiccup said in a light daydream tone. "She is something."

"Why didn't you correct me though?"

"Huh? For what?"

The Berserker Chief looked at the man for a moment wondering if it would dawn on him. When it didn't he brushed it off not wanting to bring up something so trivial. Who was he to question who the man married? Whether it was the blonde or the new brunette. When looking over at Hiccup he did see how happy he was holding his son. It just shocked him how red the kid's hair was. Though when the men came in contact with Stoick at the docks it wasn't too surprising.

At the docks, Stoick had already prepared a few ships and a crew to take the now freed Chief back home. Though when mentioning that flying would be faster and most likely easier. Hiccup gave a very shallow excuse on why Dagur couldn't get a dragon. Though a lot of the men seemed to be on board with the teen's reasoning, Dagur wasn't. However, the other Chief didn't push the issue. He wouldn't push the issue. He wouldn't put a hundred percent trust in him either if the shoe was on the other foot. But he was going to get Hiccup to keep his word. That when the time comes Dagur could come back to Berk or the Edge to find himself a dragon.
