Chapter 21: Naraku's Solution
After his most recent encounter with Kagome, Naraku kept more of an eye on the miko from the future. When he saw the little scene between Kagome and Kikyou, he started to sweat. If those two have teamed up… and they both come after me… I am so screwed.
Kagura, hidden in a corner of the room, smirked inwardly as Naraku worried over the two miko's. Then she smirked.
Hell. If they're planning on torturing the bastard, I'll help as well.
Then Naraku had a rather clever idea. If he could get rid of Kagome, then the driving force behind the horrible dread he felt would be gone! With renewed confidence and a smirk, he turned to Kagura.
"Get ready to go." There was no time to lose. This had to be dealt with before it could begin.
At the same time, a little niggle started at the back of his mind, pretty much the same place he kept the thoughts of his human heart. So he ignored the feeling.
Big mistake.
