As the two boys parted from their blissful kiss to catch their breath Cas saw something shiny out of the corner of his eye. Dean noticed the confused look on his boyfriend's face when Castiel saw the shiny object a bit hidden in the rocks.
"What's wrong?" Asked Dean.
Castiel turned his attention to Dean and said," There's something in the rocks over there. It's a bit shiny from the sun's reflection on it."
Castiel walked towards the mysterious object as Dean stayed where they were just kissing. Dean watched Castiel pick up the object which turned into objects. There standing, Cas had a banged up red lighter and a pack of cigarettes that's packaging was damaged by the water nearby. Castiel looked at both objects in his hand and smiled a little bit. This worried Dean because he was afraid that his lover would want to try them. Castiel took a deep breath and opened the flap of the package. There where only five cigarettes in the package that seemed to be unharmed from the water and nature. The red lighter in Castiel's hand still worked.
That's when Castiel decided to take one cigarette and light it. This deeply disappointed Dean to where he didn't want to talk to Castiel at the moment. Castiel held the cigarette between his index and middle fingers and flicked the lighter on. He then lit the cigarette with the lighter flame and breathed in the toxins of the thing between his teeth. Castiel felt like the cigarette tasted a bit strong at first, but the taste simmered down. Dean stood there scolding Cas and not knowing what to do. Castiel noticed Dean's scolding.
"It's not that bad of a taste once you get comfortable with the taste. You want to try it?" Castiel asks as he offers his cigarette to Dean.
Dean hesitates a bit before grabbing the cigarette carefully from Castiel. Nervously Dean takes in the cigarette smoke, but ends up choking. Castiel can't help, but laugh at Dean.
"Here let me show you," Castiel laughingly said.
Cas lit another cigarette for himself to demonstrate how to properly smoke a cigarette without chocking. Both boys sat down on the rocks below to smoke.
After a few trials and errors Dean got the smoking under control and didn't cough. They peacefully smoked while taking in their surroundings. Castiel stared at the old town bridge as Dean listened to the lake running.
"Cas," Dean said ripping apart the silence," I don't really like smoking, but why do you? I really hope this is the only time we ever smoke."
Castiel calmly smiled and thought for a minute before answering Dean.
"I don't like to smoke, but I know how to. It's just something I've known how to do. Since I know that you don't like smoking I wanted this cigarette to be my last. I wanted you to see me smoking my last cigarette to know that I'm serious."
That silence them for a few minutes before Castiel spoke up again.
"Dean we should make a chest memory," Castiel suggested.
"A chest memory?" Dean questioned.
"A chest, like how the pirates have a chest with all their things that are worth a lot of value. I'm think we should find a little chest and put memories of us in the chest. I thought it would be fun to have around," Castiel explainEd, he pushed his fingers threw his blue streaked hair nervously.
Dean put out the cigarette and grabbed Castiel to bring him closer. Castiel followed in putting his last cigarette out and nuzzled his head into Dean's right shoulder.
"Of course Cas. I think that's a great idea. I have a box for that," Dean said.
"I thought this could go into the box," Castiel said holding up the cigarettes," To remember our time spent here and what memories we have had here."
Dean nodded his head in approval and said," That's a great idea."
-Later that Night-
Dean and Castiel have headed home to look for the box Dean was talking about. It was 6:00 pm and Sammy was already home studying for an English test in his room. Before the boys went to go look for the box Dean made burgers for all three of them to eat. Castiel and Sammy admits to Dean being the best cook out there.
"I can't see it up here," Dean says looking through his crowded closet.
"Well I imagine you can't see anything. I mean Dean look at your closet. It's ridiculously too crowded to even touch the back of the closet," Castiel said standing behind Dean.
"At the moment I can't seem to find the box, but I did find this old looking camera," Dean said grabbing an old fashion camera from his closet.
It was the camera where it was one step. Click the button to take a photo and instantly a photo would come out of the camera. There was nothing wrong with the camera and they could take pictures with it still.
"Smile," Dean said.
Castiel gave the goofiest smile he could and Dean took the photo. When the photo faded to were they could see the picture clearly Castiel smiled to much his eyes where almost shut completely. The boys kept taking funny photos of each other until they could no longer due to the limited supplies in the camera. They had ten photos, 5 being Dean and 5 being Castiel, and continued to look for the box.
"I found it!" Dean exclaimed.
Dean brought down a wooden box that was the size of a shoe box. The wooden box had metal outline and a silver lock on the middle front. When they opened the box it was empty and dusty. Castiel blew the dust out of the chest and place the cigarette package with the lighter inside followed by the ten photos they just took.
"We can put this under my bed until it's full. Then we can place it somewhere safer," Dean suggested, Cas agreed to this.
"I love you Dean."
"I love you Castiel."
Both boys were blushing out of their minds. Castiel broke the silence.
"Forever?"
"Forever and Always."
