"Why are you so excited?" Clara raised an eyebrow as the Doctor bounded around the TARDIS console, grinning. He hurtled towards her and gave her a hug, picking her up and spinning her around.

"It's December, at least for you!" he said as he spun her around. That means it's Christmas! I love Christmas, Christmas is brilliant!"

He finally placed Clara back on the ground. She smiled, breathless. "It's December fourth, Doctor. Christmas isn't for a while yet." He frowned a little, as she'd anticipated.

"Should I not have put up all those decorations in your room, then?"

"You put up decorations in my room?" She started walking towards said room, the Doctor following.

"Well, it's nothing too much. There's a wreath on the door, of course, you always need a wreath. And some tinsel and fairy lights on the walls. The tinsel's red and green and the fairy lights are blue, I thought they looked pretty. There's a little Christmas tree in the corner - only a little one!" he said as she looked at him in alarm. "And it's already got all the decorations on it, baubles and more tinsel and a star on top. I got an almost-real star from the planet Estria, they make the best synthetic ones."

They had reached the door now, and the Doctor stopped talking as Clara opened it, brushing the wreath with her fingers.

"What do you think?" Clara turned to him with a serious face. He pouted a little. "Too much?"

"You forgot something, Chin Boy." He wrinkled his brow. Clara's eyes traveled upwards, right above his head, and he looked up to see what had caught her gaze.

"Oh. Er - right. I also might've put some mistletoe in the doorway."

"Just neglected to mention it, did you?" Her brown eyes glinted as she moved closer so that she could elbow him in the arm.

"I actually forgot about it. Really actually. And you don't have to - erm, I mean, you could, but - well, er - I don't - "

"Chin Boy," she said, placing her hands on his shoulders, "I do think I've said this before and I hate repeating what I've said, but I'll make an exception just this once." He looked at her quizzically. "Shut up."

And she pulled his head down so she could kiss him properly. The Doctor pulled away first, but kept his forehead leaning on Clara's.

"Too much, Chin Boy?" He smiled and shook his head.

"Not enough, I don't think."

"Oh, don't make me repeat myself again."

A/N: This was supposed to go up before the special, sorry! I haven't been able to get online all week, so Boxing Day was the best I could do. (Happy Boxing Day, by the way.)

I haven't watched the Christmas special yet. I just haven't been able to find time, I've got my SAT coming up and I'm freaking out about it a little. But expect another update when I do!

If you'd like to, leave a review. I like hearing your feedback!
