The following morning, Blaine got a call from Wes saying he would be there in a week. Something had come up with one of his businesses, and he had to put it off. Blaine accepted his reasoning. Burt got the same phone call and also agreed. Everyone heard in both stores. Kurt sat at one of the tables, a depressed look on his face. Chandler saw him and came over. On the wall above them was a mural of the feud. Kurt looked at Chandler, "Maybe I should put a photo of myself up there, with all the Warblers."
Chandler grinned at him, "Don't be so hard on yourself. Besides, I'm not angry. Way I see it, we were great together when we were younger. Then we put things on hold for your education. But now we can go forward and conquer the world!"
Kurt smiled at him, "Yeah, high school will always be a great memory, Chandler."
Chandler smiled at him. Chandler shrugged, "Look, you made a mistake. I get that. But don't let it get you down. You're a Hummel, and as your father is fond of saying Nobody pushes the Hummels around."
Chandler put down a box and looked at Kurt, "You're a lost ship, and I'm the keeper of the lighthouse trying to guide you home, just don't stay lost too long, hmm?"
Kurt's eyes widened at the box. Then
Kurt smiled at him. Then his phone rang and he saw the name Arwen. "Thanks Chandler. I have to take this."
He got up and walked away, answering the call, "Hi, Arwen. What's up?"
Later that night, Kurt sat in the same place he had met Blaine, looking at the box from chandler and the photo he had taken of himself and Blaine at Trent's. He opened the box from Chandler, inside was an engagement ring. He knew it wasn't his style, but he could appreciate the thought behind it. Footsteps came over and he looked around to see Santana and Carole walking over. He smiled at them. They sat on either side of him, waiting.
"Chandler gave me this." He held out the box. Both women looked at it. Santana looked at him, "He wants to marry you?"
Carole and Kurt both grimaced. "It's Burt, he's been pushing this for a while."
Santana rolled her eyes. Kurt nodded at her. "It sucks. I'm basically stuck between love and family. It feels like Dad and Finn want me to choose family, but my heart wants me to choose love."
Santana smiled at him, "So if you choose Chandler, you're choosing family. If you choose Blaine, you're choosing love?"
Kurt shrugged. Carole looked at him, "choose what's right for you, sweetie."
Kurt smiled at her, "Thanks, Mom."
Santana wrapped her arms around Kurt, "I'm with Carole here, Elfie."
Kurt looked at them, "OK, let's work on Carole's plan."
