Hey guys!Thanks for the great reviews last chapter. To make up for the two very short chapters, I've made this one twice as long as my usual chapter size literally! I'm sorry its taken so long but this chapter hasn't felt right but I want to what you the readers think.

I'm running as thick dry dust swirls around me, the clattering of hooves coming from all directions fills my ears and I can't tell my own heartbeat apart from the noise. I make my way out of the dust coughing with my eyes squeezed shut, when I open them its silent and the dust is settling. I look around panting till my eyes land on something before me that makes my heart sink, the late king Mufasa's body. I walk over and I am surprised to see he is still breathing, its shallow but he's still alive. I take a step closer intending on helping him when I hear a voice behind me.

" Very good, my son. Now... Finish him."

Scar gives me a bloodthirsty grin and I realized I'm a cub again. In fear, I step away from both lion kings shaking my head. The world around me flashes and I find myself on the cliff overlooking the gorge. I look down to see the wildebeest herd running I also catch a glimpse of what looks like a lion cub weaving through the stampede. I then notice a shadow over me and I look behind me to see Scar looking as serious as ever.

" Senka, Its time you finish what you started."

With those words, Scar backpaws me and knocks me into the gorge. The the thundering of hooves grows louder as I fall with Scar watching from the edge looking stern.

...Flash?...

My eyes snap open and im breathing heavy. I look around wide eyed to see I'm the cave. It was only a dream... I rest my head back down on my front paws and sigh. After a moment I get up knowing its no use trying to sleep again, it's the third time ive had this dream. I walk out of the cave to see it's still dark, the cool breeze feels great as I sit down. I look up at the stars and the full moon, the stars seem different than back when i was human but yet they still remind me of my past life. I think about what the pride says about the great kings of the past being up there, then I think back to my dream with mufasa.

" Mufasa, why am I here? You and I both know I don't belong here."

I sigh and look down feeling frustrated.

" I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing."

A moment passes then I am startled by a voice.

" Felix?"

I look over to my left to see Nala walking over looking concerned. She stops short of me.

" What are you doing out here so early? Are you okay?"

I shrug as she sits next to me.

" I'm fine, I just couldn't sleep anymore. Its nothing to be concerned about."

Nala furrows her brow.

" I don't think so, your eyes say something else. What's up?"

I'm feeling slightly annoyed that she wont let it go. I answer curtly.

" It was just a bad dream, alright?"

I get up intending on going into the cave knowing she won't dare enter but she jumps in front of me to block my path.

" Tell me about it."

I stop and sigh.

" It just a dream about the gorge."

Her eyes look surprised.

" the gorge? But I thought you said you havent had dreams about it since we were cubs?"

I nod feeling annoyed.

" That's right. But this one was different, okay!"

Nala seems taken back at my snapping tone as I start heading down pride rock growling.

" I'm going to train."

I storm over to where the hyenas sleep and I make my way to Shenzi's group and i swat Banzai till he wakes up. He looks around surprised till he sees me.

He opens his mouth to complain im sure but I cut him off.

" We are heading over to train earlier, get Long and let's go."

He gets up looking annoyed and confused, I make my way out the pack of hyenas and plop down in the grass to wait for my the two of them join me and without a word I storm of towards the elephant graveyard. As we walk, I can't help but wonder why I snapped at Nala or why I got so annoyed in the first place. She is only trying to help. There goes that voice again and I glance around, its been a while. Maybe I'm going crazy...

We get there and I just take a couple laps around with ducking and weaving around the large bones. As I run, I cant shake off This anger completely but I feel slightly better. I slow down to a trot as i reach the starting point, I spot Long and Banzai sleeping soundly. I roll my eyes with a slight smile as Banzai snores loudly with one of his hind legs kicking out repeatedly. I look tot he direction of the pridelands, I know I should go apologize to Nala. But before I can act further, the other hyenas arrive and its time to train.

After training, im practically running back to priderock. My two companions pant while trying to keep up.

" Soo... What's the hurry today?"

I grimace.

" There's something I have to do before-"

I make it to priderock and start heading to the back when a couple hyenas block my path. Onr of them speaks up.

" The king is waiting for you by the watering hole. He wants you there right now."

I nod going around them.

" Yea, yea I'll head there in a sec. Right now I have to talk with..."

My heart sinks when I see our spot vacant, I stop in my tracks. I mutter to the hyenas.

" Tell my father I'll be right there."

The group nods and runs off, I turn around and slowly start slowly heading to the watering hole. I look back at my two companions.

" I'm good on my own, go rest. I'm sorry for waking you guys so early this morning."

Long looks at me and I understand his concern. I force a smile.

" Trust me guys I'm fine, now go on."

Slowly almost hesitantly they turn and head back to Priderock as i continue on my way.

I make it to the watering hole and look around but I don't see Scar anywhere. Something must be up, since I never beat him to anything. I sigh. I might as well get a sip of water while I wait... I walk over and as I'm bending down to drink, when I feel somthing on my tail. I turn and I'm surprised to see Mheetu frowning at me. I look at him confused.

" Umm, hey Mheetu... Is something up?"

He stares at me for a moment then he tilts his head at me slightly and mutters something I almost don't catch.

" Sorry."

Before I can ask what he's talking about, he pushes me into the water. I get out and turn to face him just as he pounces me. I roll to my right and he lands with a thud where I was just at.

" Mheetu, what are doing?!"

Instead of responding, the smaller lion turns and swats me in the face. I growl and swat him back then I pounce, we collide and go rolling till i knock him into the tall grass.

" You were holding back, Senka."

I watch stunned as not Mheetu , but Scar emerges out of the tall grass by jumping through the air and pounces me. I instinctively kick and send him flying over me. I jump up in time to see Scar land with a evil grin. I pant as we circle each other.

" Wait! Why are we fighting?!"

I dodge Scar's swat as he looks bored.

" Its simply the next step in your training, you must be ready to fight anyone."

As I process his words, he tackles me to the ground and holds me there. Scar growls impatiently.

" You aren't focusing! Clear your mind of everything, only leave your desire to live!"

At that moment he lifts a paw ready to strike me when i notice his claws are out now. I push all thoughts of this being a movie and Nala out of my head, instead I think about my frustration earlier. Then with all my strength I push scar and swat him before he could move. After that, the two of us attack each other in a blur. Finally, Scar swiped me and I go flying into a rock. breathing heavy, I struggle to stand up as Scar stands looking pleased.

" That is how a king fights. We will continue this tomorrow."

With that Scar walks away as I pick myself up. The grass rustles and Mheetu comes over looking worried.

" Felix, are you okay? I'm sorry about earlier, Scar asked me to help him train you.. I didn't know he planned to do a switch off like that."

I look at him and nod still trying to catch my breath.

" Its fine...I should have known this is what he meant earlier."

Mheetu looks me over.

" Wow, Scar really pummeled you huh? I didn't even see a scratch on him, well except his scar."

I roll my eyes at him as we make our way back to pride rock. As we approach, a lioness spots us and meets us half way, its Nala. First she looks Mheetu over then her eyes land on me, her eyes widen.

" What happened?! Did Zira attack you or-"

The two of us shake our heads and i take a shaky step forward.

" No it's from my new training but thats not important."

I stare at Nala for a moment before speaking.

" Nala, I'm so sorry about this morning. I don't know what came over me."

At first Nala seems surprised but then she smiles.

" I forgive you. I should have thought before i spoke about such a subject."

I smile as im filled with relief, I feel so sleepy.

" Thats great, thank yoouuu..."

I feel my legs give out and I hear Nala & Mheetu's concerned voices, then I black out.

I wake up with a baboon's face inches from my own.

" Ah!"

I jump up and back as Rafiki starts laughing.

" He's alive!"

My heart is still pounding as I glare at the baboon.

" What was that for?!"

He smiles and shrugs as he holds up his stick.

" Dat was for stealing my staff!"

I look at him confused.

" Your stick? When did I - Wait, do you mean when I was a cub? That was a while ago!"

Rafiki sits down in front of me. I take a quick glance around and I recognize the cave to belong to the lionesses. Rafiki strokes his goatee looking deep in thought.

" Some things have consequences later on rather than right now. Like de snake bite and your dreams."

His words sink in.

" Snake bite? You mean when I was in the termite mound? And how do you know about my dreams?"

Rafiki ruffles my black turf.

" All in good time young prince, all in good time."

With that he starts to head back out and before i can call him back, Nala comes in looking relived.

" Felix, how are you feeling? You scared me, why did you push yourself so much ?"

I smile.

" Because I've been needing to apologize to you all day but things kept getting in the way."

She shakes her head trying to look stern but a small smile is present.

" All that just to apologize? Felix, you need to take better care of yourself. Your a prince, not immortal."

I puff my chest up a bit.

" You know, in some places those two are one in the same."

She rolls her eyes.

" Sure, Felix. Just not here."

I notice somethings missing.

" Hey, where's Mheetu?"

"Mheetu has been telling bad jokes to try to make everyone feel better."

I raise an eyebrow.

" Is it working?"

She sighs and shakes her head.

" Our mom and a couple others chased him off towards the watering hole a few minutes ago."

I laugh.

" Yea, That sounds about right."
