The walk back to the school was filled with little groups of people littered about. I passed Ron and a couple of Gryffindors who were huddled about laughing. As I neared the school I saw Cedric, but he wasn't alone. He seemed to be having an intense argument with Cho. Although I was slightly disgruntled, I'd had enough confrontation for one day and took myself to the commonroom. I threw myself into the nearest armchair, throwing the closest daily prophet into the fire. I'd been sat for a good ten minutes before I saw Draco's feet sticking out opposite me. I ignored them in a vain attempt that he wouldn't speak.

"Soooo…our mothers are a piece of work aren't they?" He said. I sighed, this is the one thing me and Draco would always have in common. We knew what our mothers were really like unlike Blaise who seemed to walk around in blinkers.

"Always have been, always will be." I reiterated back.

"Did your mum have much to say when you went shopping?"

"Apart from being rude to and about Cedric? Nothing of importance.

"I got the feeling she disapproved, might have had something to do with her select choice of words."

"You've hit the nail on the head. My mum isn't one to mince her words. I'd love to know what Cedric has done, other than not being Slytherin to spark my mum's rage…"

"I think I know what her issue is." Draco muttered.

"Go on."

"I'm pretty sure our parents would much rather you and I got together. Regardless of if we were happy about it. It lets them create a family link, definitely makes sure blood is 100% pure and it's just easier isn't it? Don't need to get to know someone or their family because its hand delivered. My mum mentioned something along the lines to me before I came to school. I may or may not have let that affect the way I acted with you, although I can't deny – I was a prick." Draco's words certainly reminded me of what my mum had been talking about earlier.

"You were definitely a prick." I agreed and Draco laughed.

"The biggest most prickiest prick ever."

"Even bigger than that." Suddenly, I felt like I was transported back to one of the summers at the mansion.

"If it helps anything, I like Cedric." Draco shrugged.

"That's lovely to know."

"Shame he might get sat on by a dragon or something…"

"Draco!" I shot up in my seat – I'd totally forgotten the tasks were fast approaching. All the fear came flooding back.

"Sorry, sorry! I'm sure they'll be fine. Knowing what Dumbledore's like I could probably tell you what the tasks will be anyway."

"Go on then." I smiled, crossing my legs underneath me.

"Okay." Draco mimicked my sitting position, holding his arms out flamboyantly, imitating Dumbledore.

"For our first task Champions – we have a challenge that not many men have claimed to have defeated! A single toothpick must be retrieved from…" He held his hands up in anticipation. "Hagrid's beard!" I couldn't stop myself laughing, but he shushed me. "For our second task Champions – we have a terrifying challenge to show us how brave you all are. We are going to routinely stun McGonagall and you have to give her the kiss of life – the person with the fastest time wins! Finally, our last task! Based upon your positioned on the previous challenges, we will determine a partner for this challenge. The current first place Champion receives Professor Flitwick and the last position receives Hagrid in the….TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT TEACHING CARRYING PIGGY BACK RACE!" All of the tension melted away and I couldn't help but laugh. My ribs ached.

"Draco – why don't you make your own tournament but you have to swear to make the challenges exactly like that."

"It'd be perfect, there wouldn't be many injuries. Unless you think about the one being paired with Hagrid, they would definitely have at least a broken leg or two."

"Please, Draco, stop!" I managed to say between laughing. My giggles were quickly turning into embarrassing snorts.

"You sound like a pig, Herman." Draco noted and I covered my mouth.

"I hate you." I muttered from behind my hand.

"Aw." Draco tutted. "Haven't I redeemed myself?" I held my hand up in a pinching motion.

"Little bit." I smiled.

"I'm glad you don't hate me." Draco smiled and I returned it.

"I'm glad we could start to rectify this." I smiled, lifting myself up and heading towards the dorms.

"Start?" Draco asked.

"Oh yes." I smiled before heading up.
