"No, Mom." I'm waiting for him to come online.
"Sure?"
"Ye—"
She paused. He hasn't messaged me in days. Maybe I will go for a walk. "I'll come."

Not again. "But—"
"Mom said."
He shoved away from the computer. "I'm going for a walk."

"Are you ready?!" Sango shouted.
"Aunt Chiki's on the phone! Go without me."

Miroku froze in mid-step. "Sango?"
She halted. "Miroku?"
"Why haven't you—"
"Sorry I couldn't—"
He smiled. "Walk with me?"
She took his arm. "Naturally."
