The News

Don't own it budd...

It had been over a week since Vegeta had left her on this forsaken planet. The Saiyans living here had come to see her and congratulate her on her pregnancy, talking about how fortunate they were to live to know that there would be a new heir for the throne. Even if it truly did not exist again yet. They were treating her like a queen, providing everything she needed. Once she had even attended with Pickal's family church. Even the priestess had well-wished her during the ceremony and told that everyone shall pray for her and her unborn son. A smile crept over the blue haired scientist's face as she thought about it. Pickal's mate had detected the ki of the child and it seemed it woul be a boy. Sitting at the bar table in 'The Fallen Meals' and ate a fired pickle as Pickal's son walked up to her from behind the bar.

''Princess Bulma, do you wish for anything? Maybe more fried pickles?'' He asked.

Though I could get used to the princess thing.. ''That would be nice Toma, thank you.''

With a nodd, little Tome walked back to the counter to get the order though to his mother. Only few minutes later another plate came to her place with a ridiculously amount of fried pickles. The human couldn't help but eat all the time, especially this last month. It was obviously for the fact that she had a half- Saiyan within her womb for she had not gained weight at all during the pregnancy. Just as she was about to dig in, the screens in the diner flashed to life, showing the well-known jounalist that always informed them about the latest happenings in the Empire.

''Good day. Today we come to you with most disturbing news.'' He said before making a pause to let his words sink in. Inhaling deeply, he took a handkerchief out of the pocket of his suit in an attamept to get rid of the small drops of sweat that were beginning to get visible.

The whole restaurant was deadly silent as they watched, waiting for the spokes man to go on already. Bulma saw the man behind the screen take an other deep breath before he told them with a trembling voice.

''Empress Tauriel of the Ice-jins has been challenged by Tauriel, Queen of the Fallen Saiyans that had, unbeknownst to the rest of the universe, managed to survive to anihilation of her planet by Lord Frieza. The two nobles will fight to death over the leadership of the empire. Since we recieved the message only minutes ago, my respected audiance, we can tell you only as much. We can solemly add that the fight will be broadcast over the universe at our E-Channel within three days time. With that said, I can only promise you that we will try to gather more information about the latest events. Have a nice day.''

With that the TVs turned themselves off again. The audiance in 'The Fallen Meals' sat or stood with open moulths, taken aback by the sudden changes this news had brought to them. What the heck?! Wasn't this empress her friend or did I miss something? What is she up to? This was most disturbing news indeed..

''Are you sure you want all the universe watching?'' Tauriel asked Akena. They had just announced to the upcoming fight to the empirial news station here in the capitol. Everybody was shocked to say the least. Now there were in the Empress's pricate chamerbs once again. The Saiyan Queen heard her friend take a deep breath.

''I am. And there is no turning back now anyway. We will have to prepare, friend. Lets' get to it.''

What have I gotten myself into?...Tauriel could barely grasp what had led to this. It was an honourable thing she asked for and still, Tauriel had issues her being the one. But regarding Akena's situation a little more from her perspective, she understood. The Queen of Saiyans wouldn't want anyone else to do this if she would have been in her friend's position.

FLASHBACK

''You cannot offer me this!''

''I am giving it to you! It is yours, take it! I do not wish to be in this position any longer!'' Pressed Akena. She had no choice. She had made her decision long ago and had only waited for the right time to strike. It was time, but she understood her friend. Sighing, the empress added.

''Please take this burdenn off of me and let me take my life into my own hands for once in my life.''

But Tauriel would not have this shit any longer. Without any warning, she turned around and literally stormed out of the throne room, leaving her old friend in need alone in the dark hall.

Only moments after she had stormed out she regretted her decision to leave. She would not act as it was a coward! She was Tauriel, daughter of Haldir, son of Celeborn. Daughter of Aredhel of the Toom clan. Her ancestors would have been ashamed of her actions. Why had she left her friend alone?

Shaking her head the mother of Vegeta shook her head in an attempt to clear herself from her insecurities before storming back. It was time to face the music. It was time to help her best mate.

As soon as she opened the doors of the great hall, she saw the Ice-jin empress sitting on the spot where she had left her moments ago. Slowly, she walked up to her, not wanting to disturb her in any way.

''Forgive me, friend.'' She whispered as she took the empress hand in hers, stroking it gently. ''How can I help you?''

Looking up for the first time, the little lizard- like woman smiled a little, awkward smile. It was a smile people gave each other when somebody was ready to do some dirty, unfortunately necessary work for you because you were unable to do it yourself.

''I want an honourable death, Tauriel. My kin is slowly uproaring against me for letting other planets have some autonomy. Some even tried to ambush me over the last moths. They do not trust me. And the loss of my son and mate, even if we have not been close for the last years, is making me weak, Tauriel. I do not wish to be killed at night by a stranger in the most coward way possible. I want to fight and I want for people to remember the good that I did, not that my own kin killed me. Give me this chance and I will give you everything that I have left.''

FLASHBACK END

And so she had agreed to grant her best friend this last wish and now it was only three days until she would lose her only companion, her only source to her own past, forever.

Goku couldn't take it anymore. Why was this taking so long? He knew Mr. Briefs did his best as always and he was the most skilled man for this kind of job, but he had been walking up and down here for what seemed like forever. Mrs. Briefs had even been so nice to make him a little snack ( that would have satisfied a human's hunger for a whole week) but he was more than aware that he had not much time left and that everything had to be arranged as quickly as possible. There was no time to waste and Dr. Briefs was usually fast in everything he did. A few months ago he had made him a spaceship within a week's time from scratch that had been even faster than Bulma's! But of course Goku was not a person to blame someone for anything. He understood that it probably took some knowledge to call Vegeta and Bulma. He had told him that it could take some time. Particularly if the monitor was turned off or the ship capsulated. The Saiyan hoped that the latter would not be the case. If the two of them where somewhere else than in their ship, who knew when they would capsulste it again, let alone start the engines!

But Goku would have not been Goku if he wasn't knowing deep down that everything would turn out alright eventually. Still though, as the seconds ticked by he felt his impatience increase.

Vegeta felt this familiar pull and in the next instnant he was in some sort of huge hut. It seemed to be rather ill-lit for there appeared to be no technology whatsoever on the planet in general. At least the prince had not seen any yet. How Kakkerot had gotten off thes backwater planet was a riddle to him. Just as he let his hand slide off the sholder of the old priest, there were other Yadrat's coming their way. This was some sort of temple Vegeta conlcuded. They welcomed him as well in this telepathical way and somehow he was relieved for he had the suspicion that the inhabitants of this planet were not familiar with Standard. He solemly noddedhis head in their direction. And just as he attempted to turn around the old prist that had IT-ed him to this place turned his head to him.

I believe someone is seeking your council and aid.

What did the old alien mean by that? Vegeta wondered, making jokes with himself about the fatigue and cluelessness of the old. Finally the Saiyan prince frowned, shrugging the priest's comment off. As if feeling what had been going on withing the warrior's mind, the priest began walking. With his first step it dawned on him. Nobody would ever ask him for aid or even advise except for the people that believed that he was a good person, wich weren't too many thankfully. The woman would never ask his opinion on anything that mattered to her for she knew she would be only ridiculed for her self-consciousness. The only one who would dare to approach him in this too familiar way was the third-class fool.

Hurrying like never in his life before ( at least when it came to Kakkerot) he ran outside and decapsulated the the ship he had come with. Entering the code it he sped to the control panel and immediatiy saw the purple light flaring, signalim him that there was an incoming call.

Reluctantly, he pressed the button and waited for the clown's face on the screen.

''Kakkerot what is has you so wound up that you would not let me enjoy my little vacation?'' Vegeta mocked but as he took in the other Saiyan's unusually serious face, he immediatiy understood that he menat business.

''Vegeta, we have a problem..''

What will Kakkerot tell Vegeta? Will the prince master his attack in time and moreover, what will happen to Bulma during all this commotion going on in the universe?

Stay tuned!
