The 3rd Arc: Decisive Battle

Chapter 21: Loneliness

"Whe…..where am I?"

I got up from the ground with my face full of sand. Staring at the horizon, I found myself in a cold, barren desert. There was no life in sight, and I took a good look at myself. My clothes were pure white in colour. And that was about the only thing that I could tell about myself at that moment. I really wish there was some sort of reflective surface I could use to get a look at myself….I didn't even remember who I was. I trudged on for what seemed like ages, before I came across another being, who was rather far off in the distance. I had no idea what I was doing though, I couldn't tell if the being was friend or foe. As I made my way towards the creature, it let out a loud roar before disintegrating into many tiny bits of pieces.

"What the….," I thought to myself. "Where did you go? Don't avoid me!"

I was beginning to tear up at that point. I hated being alone and I felt weak like this. Suddenly, I began to hear more roars in the distance. Soon after, I witnessed about a thousand or so creatures heading in my direction, perhaps being attracted by my cries or something. I could now tell that these creatures weren't friendly though, sensing the lust for blood in their laughs and roars. However, before any of them could get anywhere close to me, like the first creature I saw, dissolved into millions of pieces.

"What…what kind of monster am I!?" I yelled loudly in agony that seemed to send a shockwave around me. "No one….nothing…..can even come close to me…"

"Are you sure about that?"

I was shocked to hear someone else's voice. Turning around, I saw a woman standing in front of me. Tall, dark skinned, with blonde hair and a rather substantial pair of breasts.

"Who…..are you?" I asked.

"Me? Tia Halibel. And I am the one who brought you here."

"Wait…..what? Brought me here? What are you talking about?"

"You don't remember anything do you?"

"No….not a thing….."

"Hmmm….I see. In any case, follow me."

"Al…..alright….."

I didn't have a choice. Though a part of me felt like I could trust her, something was warning me against following this woman. Considering that I didn't have anything to lose at this point, I decided to follow her anyways.

The woman, or Halibel, as she called herself, led me to what seemed like a huge castle. Following her into the inner chambers, she leapt off the ground and took her place upon a high rised throne. Her left cheek fell into the palm of her left hand, as her eyes darted about, scrutinising every inch of me.

"This is….." she began to speak. "Rather unexpected."

"What is?:" I asked.

"Take a look behind you."

I turned around and stared into a mirror that was held up by two other beings, whom I presumed to be Halibel's assistants. Looking into the mirror, I couldn't believe my eyes, both metaphorically and literally. I was a rather young girl, or woman, to be more accurate, with pure white hair. My face was….disgusting. The right half of my face had my skin in a light beige colour, with my right eye looking regular, a normal looking eyeball with black pupils. The left half though….was totally white in colour, and this time my left eyeball was black, with dark, muddy yellow pupils. It was as if two different halves of a face constructed mine.

:"What…kind of monster am I?" I thought to myself.

"AHHHHHHH!" I screamed as I felt a sudden burst of pain within me.

Keiko's Inner World

"You're not going to get control of me…"

"AHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the hollow. "Fool, you know I will."

Keiko fought her hollow double, and it seemed like, she couldn't handle it anymore. She was badly beaten and bruised all over, blood pouring from her mouth.

Hueco Mundo – Las Noches

"Is the Shinigami within you….still resisting? Impressive…Yagami Keiko….."

At least, that was what I thought I heard Halibel said. My body was spinning round and round the huge chamber we were in and I had no control whatsoever. I was losing every bit of sanity that I had left.

"Well, I guess it cant be helped. I'll force the transformation," Halibel said.

The former 3rd Espada drew her blade, and with a quick slight of hand, cut her palm ever so slightly, that the tip of her blade was bloodied. Taking aim, Halibel leapt from her throne, and taking aim, drove her sword right through the middle of Keiko's forehead. Keiko didn't yell in pain or anything, only standing totally still as darkness overcame her. Her hands dropped to her sides and her mouth hung open as her eyes widened. The left side of her face started to ever so slowly, colourise such that it now matched the right side of her face.

"Now….."Halibel whispered into Keiko's ear. "You're mine…Yagami Keiko."

"Understood…Halibel-sama."

So here's the end for the first chapter of this new arc where Keiko has taken on a new form! Hope you guys enjoyed it and do let me know what yall feel about it
