We go back up the same path we took when looking for the invisible bugs. After a certain point, we are told that we can use the Gorons' to launch ourselves up to higher platforms. Link does this easily, but I don't get the hang of it so quickly. Surprisingly, the Goron doesn't get impatient and keeps letting me try again until I manage to finally get a goal.

"Hurry up, slow poke! Or else we may leave you there!" Midna taunts.

"My aim isn't too good!" I say and follow.

We get to the top, fight a few Bulblins, and dodge some debris falling from the sky. After all the small debris, a giant rock comes plummeting down, landing right where I was standing only moments ago.

"Oh great! Someone just tried to kill us all! I wouldn't touch that rock if I were you," Midna comments.

"I wasn't going to..." I say.

Link nods in agreement. Midna hides again. Our Goron guide is gone now because the debris distracted us. The Gorons we face from that point on act hostile towards us and Link defends me with his shield.

"Why are they being mean again?!" I wail, dodging an attack.

Link shrugs. Well, at least there is only one attacking at a time... We find the door and step in.

"A human and a wolf!" one Goron exclaims, "On our property!"

A bunch of Gorons all start stalking towards us, looking ready to obliterate us.

"HEY!" an older Goron shouts, "Clearly if they made it this far, they have to be pretty strong!" the old Goron says.

The younger Gorons stop their advance.

"I am Gor Coron, the fifth elder. I assume you've come to investigate our mines," the older Goron says to us.

"Yes, actually," I say.

Link nods.

"Well, those mines are too sacred for me to allow you guys to just go tramping in. But... I could make an exception... If one of you can beat me in a sumo match!" Gor Coron says.

Of course Link has to do this. I'm a wolf and wolves don't do sumo wrestling. Link gets in the ring, but instantly gets defeated.

"Oh! That looks like it hurt!" I cry out.

Link gets back up and stares the elder in the eyes.

"You want to challenge me again? Even though I beat you so quick?" Gor Coron asks.

Link nods his head. This time he uses his iron boots and becomes too heavy to throw out of the ring. He beats the Goron Elder.

"You, kid, you have some potential! The mountain has been erupting nonstop and it's driving us nuts. This has never happened before that we know of... So we sent Darbus and the other elders in to investigate and check on the relic we've been looking after. Well, Darbus touched the relic and turned into a monster, so we had to lock him up... But the elders still have not returned and that worries us all," Gor Coron says.

Well, at least he explained more what the previous Goron was going on about. I still have no idea where he went. Also, Coron reminds me of corn. I like corn! Gor Coron makes his guards move aside and reveals the entrance to the mine.

"Please, help Darbus... We need him!" Gor Coron says.

Link gives a big nod and grins.
