As I enter the dining room, I am greeted by stares from each of the sins. The first to speak up is lust.

Lust: Well it looks like you had fun last night.

Amity: Leave me alone Lust.

Lust: Why? What's wrong? I am awfully "concerned."

She states in a mock tone as she flips her hair. The rest of the sins sit silently, waiting for me to react, but I give them no such satisfaction.

Wrath: What the fuck's wrong with you? Why aren't you fighting back?

Greed: Come on start crying, call for dear Lucifer to rescue you.

I sit down at the table, ignoring their flung abuse and start to pick at my food.

Gluttony: Why aren't you eating?

Pride: Stupid girl, do you know what he'll do if he finds out that you're not eating, he'll flip and we'll be the ones that get in trouble because of you, idiot girl.

Envy: What the fuck does Lucifer see in you?

Sloth: *Snore*

I say nothing as a single tear slips from my left eye.

Amity: I just….don't….care anymore, what's the point anyway, there isn't one….

The doors to the dining room open and in walks Lucifer holding a single rose. Walking over to me, he offers me the rose and in return, I do not take it.

Lucifer: Take it.

He offers me the rose once more and I unwillingly take it. Giving it a dull stare, I pick the petals off, one by one.

Amity: He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not…

My words are silenced by Lucifer's lips on mine. Pushing him away forcefully, his expression turns confused and questioning.

Amity: Don't touch me Lucifer. Don't even try.

Lucifer: Whatever's got you upset we can work this out.

Amity: No, I'm not doing this anymore.

Lucifer: Doing what?

Amity: I'm calling off the marriage.

Lucifer: Don't I get a say in this?

Amity: I think you've said enough.

Lucifer: I…

Amity: NO! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!

Lucifer: Amity calm down.

Amity: Who was she?

Lucifer: Who?

Amity: Persephone, what was she like? Do you still love her? Am I just a replacement? A replacement for Persephone…

Lucifer: Yeah, I still love her, but I love you also. Amity, YOU are no replacement of hers. You never were.

Amity: How are you so sure of that?

Lucifer: Because… Because you're…

Amity: I'm what?

Lucifer: I can't tell you.

Amity: Then I don't want you in my life anymore.

Lucifer: Don't talk like that.

Amity: I've had enough I'm leaving, don't try to follow me, you'll just end up making me more upset than I already am.

Lucifer doesn't say a word as I stand up from my place at the table and quietly excuse myself from the room.

My room feels cold and burdened with sadness, not like it had been before. Packing my clothes and other essentials neatly within my suitcase, I glance at the curtains that frame my window blowing in the light breeze. I had once enjoyed such things, but now it just gave me chills, horrible chills upon my arms and legs.

I pack the last item in my suitcase. Zipping it up, it gets stuck halfway so I don't bother to struggle. I pick my suitcase up of my bed and open the door to my room. Lucifer is blocking my way, preventing me from leaving. I push my way past him, not saying a word. He calls my name but I take no notice, I had made up my mind. I was leaving.
