Margaret managed to scare most of the medical staff at the hospital with the exception of BJ and one very stubborn midwife named Elizabeth.

"This is insane! I want this baby out of me NOW!" Margaret was huffing and puffing her way through her contractions which were now less than two minutes apart.

Hawkeye held his wife's hand while she cut off his circulation and tried to be supportive, "Margaret, the baby will be here soon. We will meet our son or daughter any minute now. Just get ready to push ok?"

BJ smiled at both his friends while he got ready to deliver this baby, "Ok guys, we're so close. Margaret, at your next contraction push for me ok? Push with all your strength."

Margaret was about to agree when she felt the most painful contraction she had had so far. BJ and Hawkeye both kept encouraging her to push. Before they knew it, the baby was crowning.

BJ was grinning and laughing all at once, "Come on Margaret, the head's coming out. Keep going. We need the shoulders to slip through."

With one last incredibly painful push and, after six hours at the hospital, Hawkeye and Margaret welcomed their beautiful baby girl to the world, "Guys, I'd like to introduce you to your daughter. She's perfect. Congratulations to you both, I'm so happy for you."

Margaret and Hawkeye just laughed and grabbed onto each other while the midwife quickly showed them their girl. Before a minute had passed, she took her away to get cleaned up and weighed. The parents were excited but in shock.

"Margaret, we have a little girl! A little girl! I'm so proud of you. You were so brave and so strong!"

Margaret was crying a bit, probably due to her hormones, and smiled at her husband, "I can't wait to hold her, she's so beautiful. She looks like you."

As BJ walked out of the room to let everyone know the news (except for the sex of the baby), Elizabeth walked over with the girl, "She's a healthy little girl, but you can check for yourself. She's got all 10 fingers and 10 toes. She weighed 3kg and is 51cm. Do you have a name yet?"

As Margaret took her baby and latched her on to breastfeed, she and Hawkeye looked at each other. Margaret was the first to respond, "Not really, no. We wanted to meet her first, see what name would suit her… Thank you for staying and I'm so sorry for the way I treated you."

Elizabeth smiled, "It's ok, I know it's painful. I know it wasn't personal either. Just enjoy her."

BJ walked into the room and approached Margaret to get a good view of his niece, "She's gorgeous guys, a total cutie. She's sure to be a heartbreaker one day."

Hawkeye glared at his friend, "Don't even think that far ahead! She's barely minutes old! I don't want to think boyfriends yet."

BJ and Margaret chuckled at this and all just looked at the beautiful girl who was eagerly eating her meal.

A minute or so later BJ remembered something, "Guys, everyone's out there waiting. They know that you had the baby and that you're both ok, but I haven't told them what you had or a name. Can they come in?"

Hawkeye and Margaret nodded to each other, "Yeah, they can. Can you give us a minute or two though?"

"Sure, I'll ask them to wait a bit."

Margaret looked at her husband and smiled, "I have an idea for a name. I hope you like it. If not, we can choose something else."

"Margaret, just say it."

"How about Brianna Jane?"

Hawkeye smiled, "I get it, she'd be a BJ but she also has my mother's name as a middle name. Are you sure you want that?"

"I've never been more sure that that's what I want. Your mother's here in spirit watching over her. It's the least we could do."

As Hawkeye went to hug his wife, their girl stopped eating, "Are you full Bri? Do you want to be burped?"

The little girl directed her gorgeous blue eyes to her father and Hawkeye took her into his arms to burp her. As he did this, their visitors and BJ entered the room. Everyone just stared at them wanting to know if the new Pierce was a boy or girl. Margaret answered that question, "It's a girl. She's completely healthy, happy and full from what I can see."

Daniel, Al and Sherman were so excited to welcome their new granddaughter. Mildred looked like she was about to cry from happiness. The Colonel then asked the question that everyone wanted the answer to, "So, what's the little princess' name?"

Both parents smiled, "Brianna Jane Pierce".
