A/N: Well I guess some of you don't like that Max broke down and cried but everyone cries. And this is a FICTION story so it doesn't have to be realistic.
Fang POV (Yay!)
Over the course of a month I hadn't seen very much of Max except for when we're at school, but she's distant.
I can't make her smile anymore, she only smiles with Ig and El, and of course that guy. That guy that's pulling her away from me. Perry? Perez?
I really don't care what his name is, All I care about is how he's slowly, no very quickly actually, stealing my girlfriend. Not just my girlfriend but my best friend.
She never talks to anymore, she doesn't tell me anything, I can't remember the last time she told me she loves me.
I kiss her but it's not the same, she doesn't respond, she doesn't feel the spark that I do anymore.
My depressing thoughts are interrupted by my phone ringing. I pick it up hoping it's Max, yet knowing it couldn't possibly be.
"Fang! I don't know what's going on man, but I don't like it. He's over here instead if you, again." Iggy exasperates through the phone.
"It's nothing new." I reply. I try to sound nonchalant but how can I? It hurts like fucking hell.
Iggy sighs. "Get your ass over here, now. She's not Max anymore. I only knew her really for about, what three months? I still know something not right. Throw our skinny ass over that motorcycle right now."
"Fine." I agree. Only because I'm worried about Max, so I stand from the couch and head towards the door.
"Sweetie, where are you going?" My mom's small frame appears behind me and I can tell she's worried because she knows something's been going on.
"Max," is all I say and I lean my head down to kiss her forehead. "I love you. Tell Angel and Gazzy goodnight, I don't know when I'll be back."
My mom nods and turns upstairs to tuck in my siblings, which I'm still getting used to.
I "throw my skinny ass" over my bike and quickly head down the street. It won't take long to get there.
Max POV
"Wanna try something?" Peter asked.
I nod, "Sure."
"I started doing this after my dad left, it really gets your mind of things but we'll have to go out."
I laugh, "Doing what?"
"Cliff Jumping." He says.
My eyes widen a bit, but we've been doing these types of things a lot. It really does clear my mind and gets my heart pumping. I nod despite my fear and head upstairs to tell my mom I'm going.
"You're missing dinner again, honey?" She asks.
I shrug, "We'll eat out, it's only five o'clock. Be home in no time."
My mom opens her mouth to respond but I'm already have way out the door.
(Line)
When the car finally stops I recognize the place. Our place, not my place with Peter but with Fang.
I feel a pang of sorrow in my chest but I ignore it.
I weakly smile at Peter. "Let's do it."
I climb up the way Fang and I usually go and with each step I feel more unsure.
Fang POV
When I arrive to Max's house she's stepping out. With Perry of course. They get into his car, and before I can think about it I follow.
Soon enough I realize they're going to our place and I nearly fall off my bike.
Perry's car stops and I hide my bike behind a tree and watch them. They begin to climb up and I fear they're going to sit in our bench and she'll tell him all the things she should be telling me.
With my exceptional vision I see them when they finally reach the top and go right past the bench. They stand at the very edge of the cliff and both Max and Perry begin to take off their shoes.
"What are they doing?" I mumble to myself.
Then Perry takes off his shirt. I begin to panic. Are they about to have sex?! In our spot?! While I'm standing right here?
Then suddenly Perry jumps. And I get excited thinking he'll die so Max can come back to me. But I push the morbid thoughts away. He makes a big splash into the water and quickly resurfaces.
Cliff Diving?
Max doesn't take off her shirt which I'm thankful for and dives of the cliff. I watch closely until she hits the water.
But she doesn't resurface…
I don't give it another thought. I begin running towards the water while kicking off my shoes, I rip off my hoodie and shirt. My jeans come off right before I hit the water.
Max.
I see her body drifting away with blood flowing out her head and heft arm. I swim fast and grab her before it's too late.
I hurriedly swim up to the shore and lay her down.
Perry, Perez, whatever, is standing by the side in shock. "Don't just stand there! Call someone!"
I grab my shirt which was conveniently lying to the side and hold it up to Max's bleeding head. She's unconscious so I push my mouth on hers trying to get her to breath.
Soon enough she begins breathing and I apply pressure to her wounds. Perez gets off his phone and stares at me as I glare.
I can't find it in me to yell at his dumb ass so I sit, and I wait.
