Chapter 21: The Saber Heirloom Mission

~Ivalice~

~Fairies~

"So... This is the treasured heirloom we are supposed to protect?" Celestia asked, clearly unimpressed. She looked at the golden statue of a bengal tiger in an attack stance. She merely turned around and sat on the couch in the shop owners office. "This is a waste of my time. I rather let who ever is trying to take it take it."

Natsu was also unimpressed. He thought it might have been some expensive looking piece of art or something that might catch his attention. "I agree. Lets bail on this job."

Laxus raised a brow at the two. "The reward is 1,000,000 jewels to each mage accepting this job and 2 platinum keys, 1 black key and 2 silver keys. I didn't take the job because of what we had to do but because of the pay."

Celestia fell from the couch then immediately stood up. "Mommy's found herself some new transformations." She smiled from ear to ear.

Natsu grinned. "Finally. Some food money."

Celestia went up to Laxus and hugged him. "You are not only sexy but smart. And that's why I love you." she stood on her tippy toes and kissed him.

He smirked at her. "You are as sly and cunning as any girl can get and that's what I love about you." he returned her kiss.

Natsu simply yawned. "It's time to start getting to work." he said. As soon as he finished his sentence, a noise came from the roof.

They all looked up. Celestia sighed and stepped away from Laxus. "Some darkness to the left..." The left side of her body emitted a dark aura. "Add some light to the right.." The right side of her body emitted a lively and happy aura. "Celestial Soul: Yin Yang Joker." Her cloak changed to a black and white Joker's outfit, with a white frowney face mask. She held a deck of cards in on hand and a dagger in the other. A black rope was wrapped around her waist with more daggers hanging from it.

She looked up at the roof once more. "I'm heading up... To have some fun." she said to the two boys.

They watched as she jumped up and passed through the roof like a ghost.

~Sabers~

"I told you to be more quiet!" Lucy scolded Sting in a hushed voice.

They were on the roof of Mashiro's Furniture Shop and were planning on how they were getting inside.

"Well.. It's not my fault if I'm not good with heights." Sting hissed at Lucy.

Gray watched them bicker while trying to think of a plan. He noticed the a black figure rose up from the roof a few feet away from them. "Guys.."

They didn't hear him.

"Guys!"

They looked at him."What?!" The shouted together.

"We're not alone anymore." Gray turned to face the figure dressed in a Joker's outfit. "Who are you and what do you want?" he demanded.

The Joker didn't reply as it teleported closer to them. Lucy and Sting took a step back startled. "Teehee.~" it giggled and tilted its head to the side.

"So you're a girl.." Gray muttered. He raised his hand. "Ice make: Arrows!" Ice arrows flew towards the figure.

The Joker used the dagger that was in its hand and destroyed the arrows. "My.. Turn.~" It sung as it flew daggers towards Gray, Lucy and Sting.

They all dodged them. Lucy however escaped with a tiny cut. She glared at the Joker in front of her. "You... Gate to the Fairy, I open thee! Alice!"

A girl appeared in a flash of green and bowed. "Hime. You're target has hurt you. Your target shall pay." Alice ran up to the joker and spreaded out her wings. "Fairy Dust!" Sparkles flew into the Joker's face as Alice flapped her wing and was unaffected by it. Lucy just sweatdropped and dismissed her.

"Open, Gate to the Helldogs, Canine!"

The twins appeared in a puff of red smoke and bowed. "Hime. Your bidding shall be done." One pulled out a flaming sword and the other daggers. Lucy smirked at her spirits and nodded.

The Joker smiled. "Cane. Nine. It's been a while. I don't wanna fight you so I'll leave you be, my Dogs.~" The Joker started to fade away and that's when Cane and Nine realized who it was.

"Celestia-sama... She's back." They muttered. The twins turned to Lucy and smiled. "Enjoy your night madame." The poofed back into the Spirit Realm.

"Yup that's her Gray."

~Fairies~

Celestia came back down and sat on the couch once more. Laxus and Natsu looked at her expectantly. She just changed back and blinked at them. She then realized why they were looking at her.

"Oh.. Um.. It's just the Sabers." she shrugged.

"What are they doing here?" Natsu asked.

Celestia shrugged again. "Don't know. Don't care." She leaned against the armrest and closed her eyes.

Laxus sighed. "They're here for the heirloom. Clearly, the heirloom belongs to them and they've come to take it."

Celestia sat up immediately. "They're not taking my hardly earned reward away from me now." She growled to herself and glared at the roof.

Natsu smirked. "So all we gotta do is get rid of them right?" Laxus nodded. "I'm all fired up!"

Celestia chuckled to herself. "It's gonna be a long night." She leaned back on the couch and closed her eyes once more.

~Sabers~

"So they can't stay up forever so eventually they'll fall asleep. When they do, we'll sneak in take the heirloom and sneak back out." Lucy told Gray and Sting her plan. A green flash brightened up the area and there stood Alice.

"Hime. I can put them to sleep with my fairy dust." She smiled. Lucy nodded and watched the spirit turn tiny and fly down to a window in the office.

Alice flew through the open window and flew over the three mages' heads, dropping dust as she went.

Natsu yawned and fell to the floor. "Natsu?!" Celestia looked at the dragon slayer puzzled. Laxus suddenly fell also. "Laxus!" She rushed over to him and caught him before he hit the floor. "Laxus! What's wrong?" She checked for a pulse and sighed. "Still breath...ing..." she fell asleep next to Laxus.

Alice flew back up to the roof to her master. "Mission complete, Hime." The fairy said before disappearing into the Spirit Realm.
