Chapter 21

Bobby glared down at his baby brother and Jack took a hesitant step back into the house. He had opened the front door, and just like that, all hell was about to break loose.

Bobby took a step inside the house, followed by Angel. He turned his glare from the younger boy to JT. They had followed Jack thinking he had gotten himself into a little bit of trouble. They hadn't expected to see him go to JT. Now Bobby was ready to kill someone.

He noticed the book bag hanging on Jack's shoulder first before spotting the small plastic baggie clenched in the teen's hand. Jack hadn't left the house carrying anything.

"The hell Jack?" Bobby said grabbing the younger boy. He reached for Jack and grabbed the backpack as JT stood noticing the uninvited guests in his house.

Bobby took a breath as JT advanced toward him slinging obscenities from his mouth. "Angel, take Jack to the car and wait for me there." Bobby ordered.

"Bobby I-" Jack started. Angel shoved his brother hard in the direction of the door.

JT stood face to face with Bobby smiling at the slightly bigger man. He was pissed. He had broken JT's nose once. Apparently that wasn't enough.

Bobby exited the Marx home ten minutes later, blood on his blue t-shirt and knuckles bruised and raw. Jack and Angel were standing outside of the car waiting on him.

"Let's go," he barked when he walked up to the driver side door and neither of them moved to get in. Both brother's quickly obliged.

"What did you do to him?" Jack asked breaking the silence after about five minutes of Bobby's driving.

"He'll live, but he has a broken arm and his nose will need to be reset." Bobby replied annoyed. "What the fuck were you even doing there Jackie?" Bobby slammed his hand on the steering wheel as he turned a corner; all of his anger coming to a head.

"I messed up, okay?" Jack said his voice slightly cracking. "I was just trying to- I made a deal with JT and things just got out a little out of hand. It wasn't anything I couldn't deal with though."

"Right, because you've had everything under control lately." Bobby blew out annoyed breath. "Fuck Jackie, you were really selling drugs? What the fuck has gotten into you lately? On top of that you fucking lied right to my face Jack. I asked you if you were selling and you denied it."

"I didn't lie, Bobby." Jack protested, his voice was small. "I wasn't selling, not then."

"And you think that makes it okay? Fuck, Jackie!" Bobby slowed the car down and pulled over on the side of the road. There were not really any other cars around. Bobby turned off the engine and got out of the car slamming his door shut and banging his fist on the hood of the car.

"How could you be so stupid, huh?" Bobby scolded when Jack and Angel had eventually gotten out of the car. "Selling, Jackie really?"

"Bobby I- I didn't know what else to do." Jack looked down. "It's not like I had a choice."

"You didn't have a choice!? Like hell you didn't, Jack." Bobby took a breath trying his best calm himself down. When had his siblings lost their friggin' minds. Angel's gambling had gotten out of hand, Jo was using drugs, Jack's drinking was out of control and now he' selling drugs?

"How long?" Bobby asked turning back to face his baby brother. "How long have you been selling and don't lie to me Jack."

Jack looked down. "Not long," he told Bobby. "I made the deal with JT the day I got suspended from school."

Angel's and Bobby's eyes grew wide. "You what?" Angel asked choosing now to enter the conversation. "That's the day we went over to JT's for the first time. You were with us the entire night. When did you have time to make a friggin' deal with him?"

Jack shrugged and looked down at his shoes. "Earlier that day, before I came home." He said quietly.

Bobby stared at his brother incredulously. "You're fucking kidding me, right? He's where you've been getting the drugs from isn't he. He's the one dealing to you and Jo?" He slammed his hand down on the hood of the car. "I have half a mind to go back over there and kill him." Bobby shook his head.

"What was the deal?" he asked. "You sell drugs from him in exchange for what?"

Jack stuffed his hands into his jeans ignoring his brother. Bobby advanced on him, standing directly in front of him. "What did you get out of it?"

"He left Jo alone." Jack looked up at Bobby. "The day that Jo OD'd, she went for a walk and he cornered her. He swore to lay off her if I sold for him until I paid off the money I owed him."

"You owe him money now too?" Angel asked.

Jack shook his head. "Not like that. He wants to get even with me for stealing his blow when I was younger." Jack turned back to look at Bobby. "It's not like I sold it or anything. I got rid of it back then. Now, JT is just threatening me and Jo if I don't do this for him."

Bobby took a deep breath and nodded over to Angel. "Get in the car." He told his brothers.

Jack frowned. "Why, where are we going?"

"Home, fairy," Bobby responded opening the driver side door and slipping behind the wheel. "I'm dropping your dumb ass off first, and then Angel and I are going to handle this JT problem once and for all."
