Rain.
It brought a measure of comfort to the pink-haired meister who trudged along the dark allies of Death City, sullen and depressed in his own thoughts. The rain splattered onto his hair and dress code, but barely leaving any visible signs of rain due to its dark color.
He didn't care if he was going to get drenched, he just felt like the place was more beautiful when it rained. It was like the gods crying tears of sorrow, and if they could feel such negative emotions, surely it was okay for him to feel it too. The rain made pitter patter sounds as it hit the pebble-stoned ground, making it sound like music in the storm.
Lighting stroke in the dark cloudy skies and it was accompanied by thunder. The deafening sound made him cringe slightly, for he never liked loud sounds, except Raganok's scream that was some kind of outlet for their madness.
He gazed up the steps of DWMA and looked at the sanctuary he called home, heaving a sigh of relief that he had finally reached his destination. Even if the rain was relaxing, nothing could be better than being surrounded by his friends and listening silently in the background as they talked about their crazy tales. it gabe him a sense of belonging, even if he couldn't be as open and active as them.
"You went in the rain again, neh?" A high-pitched voice chimed half way through his ascend up the stairs. He blushed at the sound of Patty's voice, knowing that it wasn't the first time she caught him walking in the rain.
"I-I-I-I guess..." Crona looked away sheepishly, scratching his head.
The blonde bounded down the stairs and smiled at him ruefully, pinching his cheeks. "You're so cute!" She followed by bring the umbrella over his head, giving him shelter.
"But the rain is nice! I mean after that there will be rainbows and flying unicorn and giraffes..." Patty said in excitement, thinking of the possibilities when the the rain stopped and the sun rays broke through the overcast sky.
She pushed the umbrella into his hands before hopping out of the umbrella's protection, jumping into one of the puddles that had formed. Patty started to giggle as she splashed the water around, kicking it. She repeated the pattern to the puddles nearby, making it seem like she was dancing and twirling in the rain.
'It's pretty too. It's like watching an angel dance to bring out the sun from its cover.' His mind drifted, immediately becoming stiff for having such an errant thought.
He hesitantly went over to the blonde girl who looked like she was having the time of her life, before tugging her shirt. "G-G-Get into t-t-the shel-shelter the um-um-umbrella provides. Y-Y-You'll g-ge-ge-g-get sick."
Patty narrowed her eyes playfully, wagging her fingers. "Well you do this all the time, you hippo-crite! But you can't be a hippo since you're fat!" And with that, she dissolved into giggles again.
"B-B-But I h-h-have extra re-re-resistance." He protested softly, glancing shyly into her baby blue eyes.
"Fine." Patty pouted, her arms snaking around his neck and planting a kiss on his lips after she went under the shelter of the umbrella.
Crona stared at her in shock, touching his lips.
"You;re so cute when you blush! I can't believe you're not used to me kissing you after months." She teased.
"S-S-Shut up." Crona muttered, blushing even harder than before.
Patty let out a hearty laugh before kissing him again, in which this time he returned.
