You Have Got To Be Kidding! Chapter 21: Sorry can't get you out of this one, a maximum ride fanfic

~Max POV~

"Your songs are pretty good Max, but I bet my songs would be better." Kyle was rambling again, I don't mind rambling but it always ended up revolving around him. In fact this whole date, he made revolve around him. We got ice cream because he wanted ice cream and we went to the park because he wanted to. All the conversations were him taking about himself. His head is up in space, and he's full of himself, me and boys like that aren't compatible. Why can't he be like Fang? Fang was never full of himself. I felt a pain run to my heart when I thought about Fang. 'Well that's what you get when you let your heart win Max.' I thought to myself. Haha that would make a good song.

I stood up from my chair that I was sitting in. "What's wrong?" Kyle asked. "I'm sorry Kyle, I tried to be nice and go on a date with you but I can't date you. You only care about yourself, just like all of the other models." Kyle cringed. "Fine. But you'll regret this Maximum." He stood up and walked off, to I don't know where. I stood and chased down a Taxi, not wanting to walk back home on the streets of New York alone.

When I got back to the hotel I exited the elevator and started to dig through my pockets for my key. When I looked up I saw Fang staring at me. It has been at least four weeks since the last time I saw him. My a pain shot through my heart for the second time that night.

"Hey." Fang says while still staring at me. He has a tight leash on his emotions so I have no idea what he is thinking. "What do you want?" I asked while brushing past him. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him flinch. Good. He bit his lip, "Max I'm sorry okay?" I spun on my heel to face him and walked up to him seething. "You really think sorry can get you out of this one!? That you can just say sorry and everything will go away!? Think Fang! Think back to when you broke up with me. Think of what you said to me! Sorry isn't going to cut it Fang!" With that I marched into my penthouse, slammed the door and grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil and wrote the lyrics to a new song.

I finished the lyrics and begun to write the music. When I finished I changed and went to bed.

~Fang POV~

After Max went back into her room I went into my room. I went to the sink in my bathroom, turned on the water and splashed it on my face. I walked up a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down lyrics that described what I was feeling. What? Max isn't the only one that knows how to write music.
