A/N: Hi all! Glad you liked the fluffiness of the last chapter. Now we have jumped 6 months ahead. Enjoy!
They came through the hospital doors quickly. Killian held Liam in his arms with a diaper bag hanging on his left shoulder. Regina was right beside him with an arm around Henry. As soon as they spotted David in the waiting room, they went to him.
"Hey," Regina asked him with concern, "how is she doing?"
"Pretty well, but she scared," David replied. "And she's been asking for you."
"Me?" Regina seemed rather surprised. "Couldn't Emma go with you? I don't know if I-"
David shook his head. "She wants you in there, Regina. You're one of the few people who can keep her calm and she needs that right now. We both need that right now."
Without another word of argument, Regina just nodded and caressed her hand gently on David's arm. "Alright," she said. She turned to Killian. "You'll be okay out here with the boys?"
"Of course, love." He smiled.
"And you know there's some snacks in there for Henry if he wants any and there's a small container of cereal and juice boxes for Liam. And there are some toys in there for him too incase he gets restless. Just remember to keep and eye-"
"I will, Regina," he interrupted with a laugh. "I can handle it. Now go be with Snow. She needs you at the moment." He then leaned forward and gave her a quick peck on the lips before beckoning her to go.
Regina nodded her head and then looked to her two boys. She kissed Liam's cheek and then Henry's forehead. "You two, be good. I'll be back." She then quickly stepped away with David and headed to Snow's hospital room.

She followed him into the pure white room decked with pink curtains and linens. Right away, Regina noticed Snow sitting up on the side of the hospital bed, her head bowed to the floor and her fingers gripping the blankets. She listened to the younger woman let out a large exhale followed by a few soft whimpers. Just from that, Regina became aware of how scared Snow truly was about this.
Regina approached her and gave her a gentle hug. As she backed away and Snow lifted her head, she noticed the tears and the true fear in her eyes. "Regina," she breathed softly, "I'm so scared right now. I don't think I can do this."
"I know you are. But I'm right here, Snow. David and I are going to be right beside you. You can do this." Regina replied, wiping the tears from her friend's face.
But she watched as Snow just shook her head. "I can't. I'm so afraid of losing this baby too. My heart can't take that again." Suddenly a wave of pain hit the young brunette. She shut her eyes and gripped the bed harder. The pain only made her panic and cry more.
"Take my hand," Regina beckoned. As soon as she did, Regina felt the tight squeeze. "Now breathe. You have to keep breathing through it." She coached her through the painful contraction as best she could. And once it died down, she looked to Snow and continued speaking. "Snow, you need to listen to me." The younger woman's crying was only become worse as the contractions did. "Panicking is only going to hurt you and the baby, okay? You need to stay calm."
Snow let out few short breaths and squeezed Regina's hand tighter. "I- I can't."
Regina watched as her friend simply couldn't stop crying; the anxiety and nervousness over losing yet another child was just too strong to be eased with simple words. For a moment, Regina glanced around trying to think of what she could do to get Snow to calm down. Suddenly, she realized what she could do.
She gave David a quick glance, signaling him to step in and take his wife's hand. She then walked out of the room and looked for a nurse. Once she found one, she beckoned for her to turn on one particular machine.
"Why?" The nurse asked with a confused expression. "There's no need-"
Regina interrupted, "Because she is panicking about losing her baby and if she doesn't try to relax, the chances of that happening will increase. Now just do it." Her tone was extremely protective and demanding in its tone. She then turned to David. "Have her lie back on the bed."
"What are you doing?" David asked with some concern.
As she sat on the side beside Snow, she replied, "Just trust me." She then took Snow's hand and caressed the young woman's cheek comfortingly. "Snow?" She asked. She was still heavily crying and breathing uncontrollably. Regina spoke again, "Snow? Do you want to hear your baby's heartbeat?" Though Snow didn't answer, Regina quickly gestured to the nurse to work the sonogram machine. Within an instant of her asking the question, the sound of a rapid little heartbeat began echoing from one of the machines. "Snow, honey, listen to that," Regina spoke over the crying as she rubbed her thumb back and forth over her friend's cheek. "That's your baby, right there. And it needs its Mommy to stay calm now. Okay?"
Regina watched as the tension held in Snow's face began to ease. Her breathing slowed and became more controlled as well. Her eyes remained closed as she listened to the rapid thump-thump, thump-thump of the baby's heart. It was working.
Regina smiled softly and whispered, "There we go." She knew that this would be the best way to calm her. Regina knew from personal experience that the beating of a heart was one of the most soothing things to listen to. The sound entering her ear always instantly calmed her whether it had been the sounds of Liam's heart on the sonogram when she had been pregnant or the sound of Killian's heart whenever he held her. Even her own heartbeat proved to be rather soothing for their son when trying to get him to sleep. She had had a feeling that listening to the baby's heart would calm Snow as well, which it did.
Looking over at the father-to-be with a calm smile, she noticed how he mouthed the words, "Thank you," to her. She replied with a simple, "You're welcome," in return.

While in the waiting room, Killian and Henry continued to follow Liam closely as he walked around with a small container of cheerios in his little hands. As they both kept a close eye on the little one, Henry stared up at the grown man and decided to make some conversation, which they rarely did when alone together.
He asked, "Do you like being a dad?"
Killian gave him a quick glance. "It's an intriguing experience," he replied. "Far different from being pirate," he raised his brow as he thought. "But, yes, I do enjoy it very much. I love my son and I love your mother. And you're a pretty swell boy as well. We have a pretty good life together. Don't you think?"
Henry looked to him again. "It's nice. I like seeing my mom really happy." Returning to the question at hand, he asked, "You like it more than being a pirate?"
Checking back on Liam as he stomped around the room happily, the dark-haired man smiled, "Most definitely. Though I must admit, I do miss it at times."
"Why don't you go sailing on your ship anymore? You could also take Mom and Liam if you want to. I think it'd be cool." He shrugged his shoulders and stared over at his brother.
"You fancy to try a hand at the helm?" Killian look over to the young boy intrigued.
"I don't know how."
He laughed, "Well that is why I would teach you, my boy."
Smiling up at him, Henry replied, "I'd like that."
"Me too." He placed a hand to Henry's shoulders and grinned.
Suddenly, the two turned their heads at the sound of the main hospital wing doors opening. Regina stepped out in a blue apron over her clothes with a large smile on her face. The rest of the group approached her while Killian went over to pick Liam up before joining them.
"So? How'd it go?" Emma asked.
Regina's face was lit up with joy. "A healthy baby girl. Everything went perfectly. They're both in there now with David and the doctor says we can visit in small groups." She smiled over at Henry and then looked back at Emma. "Why don't you and Neal take Henry in?"
Emma nodded to her and held out a hand for the young preteen. "Come on, kid."
After removing and throwing away the blue apron, Regina stepped into Killian's sweet embrace. He kissed her head while wrapping his free arm around her upper back. Gently resting her head on his shoulder, and staring into their son's bright blue eyes, she found her self suddenly laughing. She reached for her son's little hand and made him smile too.
"What is it, love?"
"Just really happy," she tilted her head back so as to meet with his gaze. Their lips touched sweetly followed by mirroring grins and a soft giggle and some attempted words from the little boy in his father's arms.

As they stepped into the room side-by-side, they looked over at the other couple nestled together on the hospital bed. David's arm was gently wrapped around his wife's shoulder while his other hand sweetly cradled the newborn's head as she rested in her mother's arms. Regina stared at the expressions upon both of their faces so filled with joy, warmth and love for that little baby. Snow's gaze and smile were mesmerizing. It amazed her how so much happiness could be shown in just one simple look.
In seeing this, Regina suddenly felt herself coming to a realization of her own. Shaking her head, she whispered to Killian, "I'll be right back."
"Regina?" He asked concerned as she just walked out of the room. However, rather than going after her, he decided to give her some time to herself. If important enough, she would reveal what it was to him in time.

He saw her standing there in front of the large glass window, her gaze so mesmerized in whatever was on the other side. As he approached, he noticed that she was in fact viewing all of the newborns, swaddled in striped blankets with little pink and blue caps on their fragile heads.
"Love?" He asked, sliding his hands around her waist and hugging her from the back. "Is everything alright?"
"Mhmm," she hummed with a soft smile as she met the eyes of a small, green-eyed baby girl in front of her.
"Snow's been wanting to see you. She's been asking for you."
"In a minute," she whispered, sliding her hands over his arms, crossing them over her waist even more so that he held her tighter. Her eyes continued to connect with the little baby lying there on the other side of the window. She let out a quiet yawn while still gazing into the woman's expression. Regina smiled at her, her little green eyes beginning to shut as she dozed off to sleep. The brunette suddenly felt her smile fading, the saddening thought in her head now taking over yet again. "Is it bad that I'm jealous?"
"Of what?" Killian asked, looking to her with a raised brow.
"Of David and Snow." Regina watched the little girl as she slept and continued to speak, "I just keep looking at them; their smiles, the way David held Snow, the way they both looked at that baby and then right at each other, and all I can think is… we didn't get to have that. None of it."
"Regina, the circumstances were much different," he replied placing a kiss to her temple.
"I wish I could change them. Now, I wish we were able to have that moment." She rested her head on his cheek.
"You can't change the past, love. But who says we can't have that moment in the near future?"
Regina stepped out of his embrace just enough to turn around and face him, her expression holding some confusion. "What?" She asked.
He laughed, "Like you, I regret that things weren't different. I've always hoped that maybe we could have a second chance to do it differently. So I could be a part of it, be right beside you and have those moments you seek together."
"Killian," Regina shook her head, "we already have Liam and Henry. We have our family."
"What's so wrong with wanting it to grow?" He asked as his hands slid from her waist, gently caressing her stomach, and then returning back to her hips.
Regina shook her head again. "Honey, our son is starting to hit is trouble years. Do you really want to deal with the 'terrible twos' and a newborn baby?"
"You don't think we could handle it, love?" He raised his brow and smirked.
Returning his look with a rather vicious look of her own, she replied, "You really need to stop refuting my questions with more questions. You know I hate that."
"You do?" He suddenly received a wicked glare. Laughing, he then kissed her on the forehead and whispered, "I'm only teasing." Gently caressing his thumbs on her hips, he said in a more serious, yet still light-hearted, tone, "We don't need to decide this right now. We can take time to really discuss and think about it. Alright?"
She nodded softly and gave a small grin, "I'd like that."
He nodded his head in agreement. He kissed her sweetly, gazed into her eyes with a smile and asked, "Now are you ready to see our goddaughter, love?"
"Goddaughter?" Regina asked, her eyes lighting up.
"While you were gone, they suggested that they just might like us to be the child's godparents, just as they are to Liam. Naturally, I said yes." He noticed how Regina laughed softly, her smile so radiant and filled with excitement. "Come on, love. Snow's been waiting for you to meet her."

Snow's smile lit up even more at the sight of Regina and Killian stepping back into the room. She beckoned for her friends to come closer and get a good look at the infant in her arms. Passing the baby over to Regina, she watched how the woman grinned at feeling the incredibly light weight in her arms.
After a few moments of just staring at the newborn, her eyes closed calmly and her hands scrunched at her face, Regina asked, "What's her name?"
Snow glanced to David with a smile and then looked back to Regina. She answered, "Hope."
Cradling the baby with arm and taking a hold of the little one's hand, Regina spoke to the baby in a little whisper, "It's nice to meet you, Hope."
Suddenly, the rest of the gang, Emma, Henry, and Neal holding Liam, joined the two couples in the hospital room. As Neal handed the toddler over to Killian, the little boy giggled. "Ah da," he said a few times as he grabbed at his father's face.
"I have to admit," Regina whispered to Killian while still gazing down at the sleeping baby girl in her arms, "I rather like the feeling of this."
Killian smirked, "Are you saying you'll consider it?"
Regina looked up at him with stern eyes. "Only considering and nothing more right now. This is a really big thing to be thinking about and I want to know for sure that it's even a good idea before we decide."
"Alright," he laughed as he pushed aside bits of Liam's dark hair from his face.
After handing the baby back to her mother, Regina sat down on the side of the bed. Snow smiled down at the newborn and then looked up at her friend with a genuinely sincere look in her eyes. "Thank you, Regina," she said. "I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I was that you were here."
Regina grinned, "You did this all on your own. All I did was give my hand for you to hold."
"And so much more," Snow added. "When I was afraid and about to give up, you were the one reminding me that I still had a reason to hope. And now, thanks to you, she's lying right here in my arms." She gazed down at the sleeping infant. "My little Hope," she whispered.
Regina just grinned sweetly in response. Taking a hold of her friend's free hand, she said, "You're going to be a good mother. This little girl is more than lucky to have you and I mean that with all my heart."
The two shared a gentle hug with one another before the rest of the family started getting into casual conversation. They all talked and celebrated until visiting hours ended and they returned home.

Slipping on her silk pajamas, she heard the sound of the bedroom door closing. Turning around with a flip of her hair, she noticed the blur-eyes man approaching her with a loving smirk on his lips. He leaned forward, kissed her romantically and slowly slinked his arms round her waist, pulling her in tightly.
Before he could continue kissing her up her jawline and down her neck seductively, he felt a light push at his chest. "Dear," Regina looked up at him with a meek smile, "I've been thinking about what we talked about at the hospital yesterday."
"And?" A smile started to grow upon his lips.
She shook her head. "Killian, we can't have another baby."
"What?" He stepped back with some confusion and worry. "Why? Is something wrong?"
"No, no," Regina reassured him. "No, nothing's wrong. It's just… we don't really want another baby."
"I'm pretty sure I do, love," he laughed.
"No," she shook her head sincerely, "you don't. What you really want is to fix the things we didn't have when I was pregnant with Liam."
"And what's so wrong with that?" He asked, still confused.
"Honey, having another baby is not going to fix the past or make up for the mistakes you and I made before." She rubbed her hands up and down his upper arms as she explained, "This is another human life we are talking about; not just a simple quick fix to our problems or our guilty conscious. I want us to focus on us for a while and our son and Henry."
Killian stared into her dark eyes with a loving gaze and asked, "You really don't feel the need for a second chance at this?"
Placing her hands upon his cheeks and caressing them sweetly, she replied, "This is our second chance. We have Liam and Henry. And we have each other. And I know, for me, that is all I ever wanted for a second chance."
Pulling her in and kissing her tenderly, Killian then nodded his head and smiled. "Me too."
"Do you really mean that?" She asked him concerned that he was truly upset that she didn't want another baby.
"I do, Regina. You, Liam and Henry are everything to me. And that will never change." He kissed her again before suddenly swooping her off her feet and carrying her to the bed. "Now, I believe it's time we get some rest," he said as he set her down on the bed.
"Why?"
"Because I promised Henry that we'd go on a bit of an adventure tomorrow," he replied as he crawled up to her and placed another kiss to her lips.
"Is that so?" She laughed. "What kind of adventure?"
"It's a surprise," he whispered with a laugh. "Now go to sleep, love. We have a long day ahead of us."
Regina laughed as she reached over the bedside table to shut the lamp off. "I don't know whether I should be scared or excited about this."
"You'll see."
