Bella's POV
"I can't wait for tonight!" Alice giggled twirling around in the centre of the hallway.
"I can" Rose groaned.
"Rose you really should tell Emmett how you feel." I said linking my arm through hers.
"No way! I told you I never make the first move"
"But Rose you always do! Remember, you asked Emmett to the dance." Alice reiterated still spinning around.
"I know, why? Why did I do it?" She asked herself smacking her forehead.
"You know why" I laughed bumping her hip with mine.
"Cut it out Bells, it's never going to happen"
"We'll see, come on Alice stop spinning around, you and Jasper will do enough of that tonight."
As we made it into the cafeteria I made my way straight over to our newly formed table where Edward and his brothers were already sat talking. I stood behind Edward and wrapped my arms around his shoulders, he tilted his head upwards and gave me a sexy crooked grin.
"I've missed you" he said pulling me into his lap.
"You saw me a couple of hours ago" I chuckled as he leaned in to give me a kiss.
"Hey enough of that you two, virgin eyes over here" Emmett shouted covering Alice's eyes.
"Shut up" Rose said slapping Emmett on the back of his head, causing us all to laugh at Emmett's expense.
"Has Emmett said anything to you about Rose?" I whispered to Edward quietly so nobody else would hear.
"We can barely shut him up about her, I haven't heard him speak of another girl in weeks." He whispered back as he played with my hair.
"Really? Why doesn't he ask her out then?"
"I don't know, he is worried she will turn him down"
"Oh my gosh Rose won't ask him cause she thinks he'll turn her down."
"Seriously?"
"Yes, we need to get those two together tonight" I said leaning back to look him in the eyes.
His eyes were shining brightly as he smiled and agreed to help me get Rose and Emmett together.
"You excited for tonight?" I asked him.
"Extremely, can't wait to see you in your dress. I can't believe you won't let me see it!" He pouted cutely.
"No, not until you pick me up tonight. By the way Charlie wants to see you tonight." I said sheepishly.
"Really?" He paled, oh no.
"It's nothing to worry about, it'll just be the usual 'don't hurt my daughter or I'll kill you speech.'"
"What do you mean the usual? Who else has had this talk?" He growled getting awfully protective.
"Calm down Edward anyone would think you were territorial" I teased poking him in the chest.
"I am when it comes to my girl" he replied gripping my waist tighter.
"Your girl?" I asked raising my eyebrow and trying not to plaster a huge grin on my face.
"Yes my girl."
"So that makes you my man?" I asked gripping his shirt collar.
"I guess it does. Anyway stop distracting me, who are these other guys that have met you dad?"
"Well it isn't just me, he talks to the guys that have taken Rose and Alice out too" I replied catching the attention of Jasper and Emmett.
"What guys?" They both asked together glancing from the girls who glanced at me with wide eyes.
"Err well there was Jake" I said which caused Edward to growl.
"Jake?"
"Jason and Alex" Rose said pointing to Alice.
"Oh yes, I did go out with them didn't I" Alice chuckled.
"Royce" I added pointing to Rose who nodded her head.
"Yes, that was interesting times." She replied rolling her eyes.
"Who are Jason and Alex?" Jasper asked.
"I went out on one date with Jason last year, didn't go that well all he talked about was himself! And Alex was actually my boyfriend for four months, we broke up in April."
Jasper looked shocked at Alice's casual response. What did he expect her to wait around for him forever?
"Who was Royce?" Emmett asked Rose, who looked at him confused.
"I don't have to tell you that"
"Why? I think I have a right to know"
"No you don't, you're not my boyfriend"
"Well I am taking you to the dance tonight." He stuttered unsure what to say, the rest of us just sat back awkwardly watching the pair.
"Only because I asked you! Would you have asked me if I didn't?"
There was a pause of silence which was agony, how was he going to get himself out of this one?
"I can't win can I?" Emmett breathed out before getting up from his seat and leaving the cafeteria.
"What did I do?" Rose asked me, her eyes turning watery. They're both clueless.
"Nothing Rose leave it to me I'll go talk to him." I replied getting off of Edwards lap swiftly.
I took after Emmett, once passing the cafeteria doors I took off running after him, me running! If I fall on my face I will kill them both.
"Emmett!" I yelled spotting him on the field with his football in his hands.
"Leave it Isabella." he shot back
"Ooh, you called me by my fall name should I run off and go cry in a corner?"
"Sorry, I didn't mean for that to come out like it did."
"It's okay, now are you going to tell me why you ran off?"
"It's nothing." He said tossing the ball in the air. I moved quickly and caught the ball before him.
"Edward told me." I replied holding the ball out of his reach as he tried to grab it from me.
"About what?"
"Rose" he froze for a second before staring up at the sky.
"Look I am going to tell you something now, but I swear to all that is holy if you breathe a word of it I will break your legs got it?"
He nodded quickly.
"Rose likes you she is just afraid you are going to turn her down, like you think she is going to turn you down."
"Really?" He asked hopefully.
"Yes" I smiled.
"She actually likes me after everything I have done."
"Emmett you need to let that part of you go we have forgiven you for it."
"Okay, thank you Bella."
I smiled when he called me Bella and not Isabella, gosh I hate that name.
"Alright then, do what you will with that information. But if I here you told anyone, well I'll leave that to your imagination."
Tossing the ball back to him we headed back into the cafeteria. Everyone looked up when we arrived, I sat in the chair next to Edwards but he soon lifted me up and put me back on his lap.
"Seriously?" I asked him.
"Yes I like cuddling you" he whispered in my ear, which caused me to laugh at his cuteness.
I looked towards Emmett and Rose who were eyeballing each other curiously but not saying a word. Man hose two were hard work. Minutes after we sat down the bell rang telling us to move onto our next lesson. I get no rest with this lot. As we walked to science I leaned into Edwards embrace as he had his arm wrapped around me. Alice was still spinning around down the corridors as Jasper chuckled at her craziness.
Science went by in a breeze and before I knew it Alice, Rose and I were heading to my house to get ready for the dance tonight. I decided to get dinner started for Charlie as we still had some spare time, putting in his favourite hoping he would go a little easier on the guys tonight. Rose and Alice sorted out makeup and hair accessories upstairs while I cooked and waited for Charlie to get home. He arrived home around five O'clock walking into the kitchen to find Alice Rose and I sitting at the table which was covered in a whole variety of nail varnishes.
"Hello girls, what do we have here?" He asked looking down at the table.
"Hello Charlie we are just getting ready for the dance." Alice smiled brightly at him.
"Oh right that's tonight isn't it" he asked in a fake shocked voice.
"You know it's tonight dad, you have been waiting all weekend to scare Edward, Emmett and Jasper." I said rolling my eyes.
"Scare? Me? No. More like giving them a gentle warning." He grinned grabbing a bear from the fridge.
"Gentle warning right" Rose chuckled focusing on her nails.
"I had Carlisle's blessing to give them what for if they step out of line." Charlie said looking like a kid in a candy shop.
"Dad please stop trying to think of ways to get rid of Edward, it won't work."
"Give me time" he muttered under his breath not realizing we heard everything.
"What was that dad?"
"Nothing" he replied innocently walking into the living room.
"I love your dad." Rose laughed.
"He is a pain up the backside" I grumbled.
"Yes but he is always here for you" she replied sadness flashing in her eyes.
"He is here for you too" I said patting her hand and giving her a reassuring smile.
"Yes Rose wait till he gets a hold of Emmett" Alice giggled.
An hour later we were sat in my room doing our makeup and hair.
"I wish I had your hair Rose" I said pulling at my own.
"No way, mine is incredibly thin."
"No it isn't."
"Rose do you want me to take the sides back?" Alice asked.
"Yes."
Alice pulled Rose's hair back and pinned it into place with two silver clips that had little red crystals at each end.
"Right Bella you are next, in the chair." Alice ordered.
I swapped seats with Rose and Alice instantaneously started twisting and gripping my hair up onto my head. Alice took her time plaiting parts of my hair that were to border my head which turned out to look really beautiful. After my hair was secure she put in two hair pins identical to Rose's however mine had emerald crystals.
"Wow I love it Alice." I said checking out my new hair.
"Your welcomes now mine."
Alice quickly grabbed a pot of hair wax off of my table then began slicking her hair straight back Meryl Streep style from 'Devil wears Prada'. She gave it a little volume then added hair spray to keep it extra secure.
"All done." She clapped.
"Not quite, as we have these beautiful pins in our hair I thought you needed some glitter too. So I bought you some shimmer hair mist. Don't panic it doesn't change your hair colour it just makes your hair sparkle under the lights." Rose said handing her the bottle of hair shimmer.
Alice then sprayed her hair quickly before checking it out in the mirror.
"Thank you Rose, I like it. Dress time!" Alice shouted rushing to grab her dress from its hanger.
I got mine and took it from the hanger before getting unchanged and slipping the dress on. Thankfully Alice gave me an up-do which helped reveal all the beautiful patterns on the top half of the dress. I walked over to my wardrobe and pulled out my shoes, slipping them on my feet I turned to look at Alice and Rose who had just finished getting into their dresses.
"We look awesome." Rose said pouting her bright red lips seductively at me.
"I know and Rose, Emmett is going to faint when he see's you!" I said.
"Bella your ring where is it?" Alice asked.
"Oh on my table in the small black box." I pointed.
Alice rushed to receive it. She pulled it out of the box and handed it to me. I pushed it on then stretched my fingers a little.
"There we are all finished."
Looking at the clock it had just gone seven.
"The guys will be here in a minute" I said Alice let out a small giggle.
As I said that the door bell rang, I walked towards the door but Charlie's voice stopped me.
"I'll get it!"
"Oh no, here we go." I whispered as we all poked our heads out of the door to listen to Charlie.
"Jasper, Emmett, Edward" Charlie said gruffly.
"Good evening sir" they all replied nervously.
"Come on through, the girls are just getting ready."
There was a shuffle of feet then we heard the front door close.
"Why don't you come into the living room I would like to have a talk with you all before you go out."
Alice and Rose gripped my hands tightly.
"Should we go downstairs?" Alice asked.
"Yeah, we can make a quick getaway then when they come out" I said.
"If they come out" Rose scoffed.
"Rose!"
"I'm joking Alice."
We made our way downstairs and into the kitchen and waited for Charlie to finish his 'talk'. We all stood nervously for around ten minutes. What was taking Charlie so long it never took this long before.
"What is he doing in there?" Rose asked glancing at the clock.
"I don't know. He has never taken this long in the past."
Our questions were soon answered as the four of them came out of the living room laughing and talking casually like they had know each other years. Rose, Alice and I looked confused.
"Well you kids have fun tonight, I am going to head back in to watch the game. Girls you look wonderful, boys look after them please." Charlie said before walking out of the room.
"What just happened?" I stuttered, glancing at Alice and Rose who were as shocked as I was.
"Wow Bella you look wonderful" Edward said pulling me out of my daze.
I looked up to see Edward dressed in a smooth black suit with a slim black tie, gosh he looked so sexy right now.
"You look so hot right now" I replied giving him a cheeky kiss making sure Charlie didn't see.
"Hey enough of that or Charlie might change his mind about Me." he chuckled giving me another small kiss.
"Right lets head out of here mama has her dancing shoes on." Alice said pulling Jasper out of the door and past Emmett and Rose who looked like they were going to jump each other at any moment.
"Come on you two the queen has spoken" I giggled as Edward pulled me through the door.
Edward and I got into his Volvo before heading off towards the dance. He held my hand all of the way giving it small kisses every so often.
"I can't describe how good you look, can you wear that dress every day?"
"Aw thank you, and no but I will wear it again because it is so beautiful."
"I am going to have to arrange another date pretty soon then aren't I?"
"Yes you are" I grinned.
As we parked the car and walked into the dance I could see Rose and Emmett talking quietly between themselves, they were both holding hands and resting their heads into each other.
"Look." I said nudging Edward and pointing towards Rose and Emmett.
"He is finally making his move."
"Did he tell you he was going to do it tonight?"
"Yeah but he never said what he was going to do to win her over."
"What he was going to do?" I asked confused.
"He kept muttering something about going to do something for her."
"Well I am sure we will find out soon."
"We shall and would you care to have this dance with me?" Edward asked smoothly edging me towards the dance floor where Alice and Jasper were already partying away.
"I would love too." Edward pulled me to him as we danced to Justin Timberlake 'Mirrors'.
We danced for a couple of songs before I dragged Edward off to get a drink. As we went to get drinks we joined up with Alice and Jasper who had huge smiles on their faces and Rose who had a drink in her hand.
"Where is Emmett?" I asked her.
"Bathroom I think, he left a couple of minutes ago."
"You two okay?"
"Yeah he apologised for earlier even though I told him it was my fault but he wouldn't listen to me as usual." She chuckled.
"Hey guys look" Jasper said pointing to the stage where Emmett had just appeared.
"Oh god what is he doing?" Rose gasped.
I gripped Edwards's arm tightly anticipating what was come next.
"Hi I'm Emmett Cullen as most of you know and I am up here right now to sing a song to a girl I am crazy about. But she thinks I don't like her but in actual fact I do, so Rosalie Hale this is for you."
I let out a little screech of excitement and I looked at Rose who stood staring wide eyed at Emmett. As the music started playing I noticed the song to be John Legend 'All of me'. Rose loved this song. How did he know?
Emmett took a breath then began singing looking straight at Rose.

Emmett then jumped off of the stage and made his way towards Rose who had moved walking towards him with UN shed tears in her eyes. As they met in the centre of the room everyone stood watching this romantic scene.

As the song ended everyone started cheering and whistling for Emmett and Rose who pulled Emmett in to her and planted a huge kiss on his lips. Emmett frozen in shock began to kiss Rose back once he got his bearings. Alice and I were cheering happily together jumping up and down, we all rushed over to them and we gave Rose a big hug and the guys gave Emmett high fives.
"I knew it would happen!" I laughed at a smiling Rose.
"You told him I liked him didn't you" She glared at me playfully.
"I don't know what you're talking about." I giggled.
"Come here you, you little match maker." Edward growled pulling me to him and giving me a passionate kiss.
"What was that for?"
"Just because I wanted to." He grinned.
I grabbed his face and returned the kiss.
"What was that for?" He asked me.
"Just because I wanted to." I giggled.
We danced and kissed the rest of the night away, enjoying the time together. We were all really happy. Emmett and Rose had finally put their insecurities aside and dived head first into the deep end. Alice and Jasper were laughing the whole night as they twirled around the dance floor. And Edward and I were content in each other. We all headed home around midnight. Edward walked me to my door and gave me another passionate kiss on the doorstep which actually made me blush! But also before he left he gave me another purple rose and asked me out on Saturday night, which of course I said yes too.
