A/N – Okay so the way I thought this competition would work was, the person who leaves the 43rd review, (Weird number I know but oh well.) Whoever wins, will get to work with me on producing a one-shot. I hope you all enjoy this next chapter, I couldn't keep you waiting too long, considering how I left the last chapter. Enjoy, and good luck. MAURA'S VIEW.

I guess you could say that if I didn't go to at least some of the game, I would feel guilty for braking my promise to Jane. I arrived at the changing rooms to ask the coach if I could follow the minibus, carrying the team, but when I found the coach in his office he didn't look happy to see me.

"Where's Jane?! You said you could get her to play." He pointed his fingers straight in my face, which I didn't appreciate at all, and his words didn't quite sink in straight away.

"Wait…Jane's not here?"

"No. If she were here we would be on the minibus, halfway to the game already." This doesn't make any sense. Jane would at least tell the couch she wasn't playing.

"Um, okay. Look, I'm going to try and find Jane. You take the rest of the team, and if I find Jane I'll drive her over myself. Okay, don't panic." The coach sighed then yelled out the door into the changing rooms and rounded the girls up. I left the changing rooms and went straight to Jane's locker.

Nothing. Wait, isn't that Jane's bag. And her locker, it's wide open. I crept over to Jane's locker, not sure of what I should expect. I noticed some papers on the floor. As I bent down to pick them up, I recognised the handwriting on two of the sheets. It was similar to the writing on the mysterious note I received. I looked at both sheets of paper, and they matched each other. The first note was like my note, but the other sheet was from Jane's English class. It was a feedback sheet from Jane's English teacher.

"Hoyt." My thoughts changed from concern, to anger then switching straight to fear for Jane. Fear of what Hoyt may do with Jane if he really does have her. I knew I should go to the police, but they would just say that she would show up in a few days. That it hasn't been long enough for her to be reported as missing. And matching handwriting wouldn't be enough for them to go looking for her. To them the only thing it proves is that Hoyt is a stalker. No, I would have to find Jane alone. Korsak and Frost should help, their Jane's best friends, they have a right to know what's going on.

As if on cue, Frost and Korsak come barrelling round the corner with sheer utter panic plastered on their faces.

"Hoyt!" They had clearly been running and were out of breath. "Jane…car…Hoyt's…"

"Boys please. Take a deep breath and then tell me what is going on, because you are of no use to me if you can't even talk." They did as instructed. Korsak was the first to talk.

"Hoyt had…Jane in the…back of his car." Oh god. "She wasn't awake…Dr Isles." I wanted to cry, the thought that I might never see Jane again took over me. But I couldn't think like that. Not now. Right now I had to find a way to get Jane back, safe.

"Okay, okay give me a second to think." I looked back over the note to Jane, in the hopes that it might give me some clue as to where Hoyt was taking her. But there was nothing. Nothing that could be used to help find her. "Okay, Hoyt has her, but I don't think he will hurt her, yet. He seems to have a sense of caring for her almost." Maybe if I could try to understand him, I might have a better idea of where to start looking. Jane would be so much better at this than me. "But we don't have much time before things may turn bad." I know it wasn't something the boys wanted to hear, but I think it was something they needed to hear. Frost opened his mouth, but Korsak beat him to the punch again.

"I swear to god, if he harms Jane, I'll kill him myself."

"You'll do no such thing, Korsak." He might be angry, but I won't let him throw his life away. "First things first. Where would Hoyt take Jane?" Both of them looked at me with blank faces, then turned to each other and quickly back to me as if a switch had flipped, and the light bulbs in their heads had been turned on.

"He isn't dumb enough to go to his own house," Frost explained.

"But he is dumb enough to go somewhere close to Jane." Okay, now I am confused.

"Wait, what on earth are you two talking about? You forget I can't read minds like you two and Jane can."

"Jane doesn't have many friends, everyone knows that. But those few friends she does have, she is extremely close to. However…" Korsak stopped and turned to frost to continue.

"Jane's friend Marissa recently moved to some fancy private school to study law. But her house has been empty since, and everyone knows it, because everyone wants to live there, but can't afford it. Hoyt would take Jane there because he knows it would be safe, but it is also a way of punishing Jane. Killing her in one of her best friend's house."

"Okay. You two know where the house is?"

"Of course But we need to make one quick stop at my place." Korsak stated and I stared at him in complete confusion.

"What on earth for, Jane could be in mortal danger, and you want to stop by your house?"

"Yes." He deadpanned, as if what I said just make perfect sense, and stopping by his place was completely justified at this moment in time.

"Okay, I'll drive." We ran out to the car park and we all climbed into my car. And as I put the key in the ignition I realised I had no idea where I was actually meant to be going. "You two are going to need to navigate me. Now come on, we have to move. Fast!"

Korsak came barrelling out of his house, carrying a hand held gun, which looked similar to the ones the Boston Police Department were issued. I looked over at Frost and he simply shrugged his shoulders. We both turned to Korsak as he climbed into the car, with curiosity on our faces.

"What? I know where my dad hides his spare guns." He looked at us as if we were idiots. "He's a protective man. Now hurry up Hoyt has Jane!" And so on that note, I drove away as fast as I could and followed Frost and Korsak, as well as my heart. It was leading me straight to Jane, and I could feel it.
