Trouble Already?
Jinx was having the time of her life. Sure she was only nineteen well not really. She was actually twenty-one. Brother Blood just never let people think his students were more than teenagers. She had just finished eating and then decided to look around places. She watched street performers until she decided to call it a day. She was on her way to her hotel when the communicator went off. "Really?" she asks. She opened it and listened. "You having fun?" she hears. "Well I was, is there a reason you are following me here?" Jinx asks sensing around. She found them, on the Paris building. "Not really, well not for you at least we think," Cyborg says. "The why are you here, certainly not to gamble," Jinx says smirking in their direction. "Some titans say there was someone who escaped their custody coming this way on a bike. When asked for a description they couldn't answer. Care to explain?" Robin asks. "Now now, I saved their lives. And that wasn't me, I could care less if they describe me. By the way how is the Merc?" Jinx asks buying a drink. "You're 19 Jinx," Cyborg says. She shook her head and leaned against the wall facing them. "A girl always lies about her age. Especially a HIVE girl. I'm waiting," Jinx says before taking a drink. "He's in custody the JLU have him. How'd you know about him?" Robin asks. "Batman wanted a favor and Superman made it happen. A test on my memory. I was given a large listed of wanted criminals, a list you don't even have access to," Jinx says laughing. "How long will you be staying here friend Jinx?" Starfire asks. "Tameranian, good to here you. And I don't know until business is finished. Something says I should be here," Jinx says. "Your finger," Beastboy says. "That globe is hexed, green. Raven should give it a try, either that or Starfire. Humans aren't meant to use it, points to the ocean. Well come on, it will tell you where you need to be," Jinx says going into the hotel. She went up the stairs and wasn't surprised to see them already in her room. She pulled it out and set it down with it spinning. Beastboy stopped it and it went to the Atlantic. Cyborg tried next with the same results. Robin didn't try it not sure what to think. Raven stopped it and it started to do something. It was pointing to Vegas. "Ooh, looks like you are stuck here sweetie, curiosity is a bitch," Jinx says. Starfire did next and it did the same thing. Robin stopped it and was in the ocean. "Humans cannot use the globe. The hex is to point you in a direction, a specific location. Mine said here this hotel this room. Something is going to happen or I will need something from around here. One way or another I am needed here. And it seems so are you two," Jinx says. Robin looked and shook his head. "Is there a way for the globe to work for us?" he asks. Jinx thought awhile before. "I could put a new hex on it, but that would disrupt the flow of energy," she says before snapping her fingers. "What?" Beastboy asks impatiently. "Raven can do the hex," she says pointing to the half-demon. "What? I don't deal with hexs," she says. "Liar. This would be simple, the same hex you read with just a simple switch, binary. Two words and just like koala, you fixed a hex," Jinx says. "Koala" "A saying from long ago," Jinx explains without a care. Raven looked at the globe and read the hex. "Jinx, was this hex yours?" "Some, why? Read something I didn't?" Jinx asks looking. Jinx read it closely and the cursed. "Where did you get the hex?" Raven asks. "I didn't. I bought the globe, hex and all. Son of a bitch, I do not want this rescue mission," Jinx says getting up. "We are kinda stuck doing it and the longer we wait the worse it gets, for us," Raven says. "What is going on?" Robin asks. "Hush," Jinx says before floating like Raven does when she meditates. Suddenly she starts to be surrounded in a purple aura. They really didn't know what was going on. She wasn't saying and Raven could feel her moving about the whole damn city. She had to shield herself from the amount of energy she was radiating. "Raven what is going on?" Robin asks watching the shield go around her and Starfire. "Jinx's energy, it's to much for us. She's looking for something or someone, either way it isn't easy to find," Raven says going into a meditative pose and chanting. Starfire groaned feeling both of them at work before allowing her energy to form and feed them. Cyborg, Beastboy, and Robin could only watch as the room was swirling with green, purple, and black energy. Finally they receded and Starfire and Raven collapsed. Jinx had no energy left so she just fell. Everyone rushed to their aid and put them on the bed. When morning came they blinds opened and they started to feel slightly better. While Starfire shot up like a light. Raven turned but Jinx stayed still. They ate and tried to wake the girls but couldn't. It took a whole day before they awoke in the dead of night. "Jinx I will kill you," Raven says. "Oh hush like you feel the way I do. We still gotta go get that girl," Jinx says trying to stand. "Oh no not me, you started this you end it. Meanwhile I am going to destroy that globe," Raven says. The gang came back in and rushed to them. They tried to listen but couldn't the globe was doing weird things. Jinx pushed passed them and watched. Finally it shattered and Jinx saw the hex energy. Her's came back to her while the other shot away. Quickly she went after it and ran all across Vegas. Finally she stopped at a building that looked like a factory. She sighed and put her mark on the side of the building before walking away. As she was she saw the Titans there looking frantic at her. "I'm tired," she says before collapsing. Raven caught her and they took her back to her room. "So what happened between you guys?" Robin asks Raven and Starfire. "It was weird for me friend Robin. Their power was scaring me and on instinct I was guarding myself. But it seemed their power kept taking mine, I don't know what happened," Starfire says looking at him. Raven didn't want to look at anyone. What happened to them was the worst thing she felt and her father was the devil. "Raven?" Cyborg asks. When he tried to touch her she brushed it away. "Raven," Robin says slightly more strict. Raven looked and then at Jinx. "What happened I cannot tell because it was fuzzy for me, but what I felt was worse than anything you could ever go through. What ever needs to be saved from that building is in a whole lot of pain and for a long time. I can't go there I won't. This is something not for us," Raven says looking at them dead serious. Cyborg nodded and Beastboy just looked at Robin. "We will leave. When she tells us what happened," Robin says. "Dude, I really think this is a solo thing," Beastboy says. "Friend Robin, please. Raven is as scared as I am. I can feel darkness here," Starfire says touching his shoulder. Finally Robin caved. "Alright, we will go," Robin says. He wrote a note and they left making sure her room was locked and she was safe. What happened only she knows and only she can help.
