"Watari-kun, there is no eating on the courts. Court 14 will do 5 laps around camp," Gensaburo's sweet voiced rang out through the speakers. It was the third day of camp, and he was settling in quite well. He learned how to valuable assistant coaches were. While he was an classified as an assistant, it was more of an apprenticeship. The actual assistant coaches were out on he courts taking notes and instructing according to the main coaches wishes. Everyone also wore headsets in order to instantly communicate with the main office. When they spotted something, like a player trying to sneak snacks on the very well-maintained courts, they sent in a message and Gen-chan got to reprimand them. The sound of a child's voice telling them off, angered the players more than anything, which was hilarious to watch.

"I hate that kids voice! How did he even see me?" Watari grumbled.

"Court 14 will run 10 laps around the camp," Gensaburo happily announced. The whole court quietly griped but dropped their rackets and started running. "Courts 5 to 1, it is your lunch hour. Please retire quickly."

"I see Saito is training you to be as sadistic as him Sanada-kun," Coach Kurobe spoke up from the back of the room.

Gen-chan smiled. Saito had told him that the best way to handle the teenagers were to make them know that you enjoy watching them suffer. Being their friend didn't help anyone. You need them to understand that if they don't listen the first time, you will make things harder the second time, and you will do it with a smile on your face. If they refused to listen to him still, then he was to call in Saito and he would make sure the culprits suffered until they quit. After all a player who wouldn't listen to the coaching staff, had no place at the camp.

"Do you need any help Kurobe-san?"

The coach slowly shook his head, "No at the moment I am getting ready for my own lunch break. What does Saito have you working on today?"

"I am to turn the courts against themselves. Get them so mad at their own team they start to fight. Only then can we improve their mental strength and teamwork," he explained.

"And how will hat help?"

"My brother and best friend fight a lot. Gen-nii doesn't raise his voice, or talk a lot, but he lets his displeasure known. Keigo will talk for days if you let him. He once fell asleep mid rant, woke up the next morning, and carried on like he didn't take a break to sleep. All over his favourite shampoo changing their formula. When they get mad at each other, that's usually when their tennis improves the most. They let everything out on the court. They try tricks they have never performed before, anything to get the upper hand. Then, when it's all over, they are friends again and have new things to improve. Saito-san hopes the same will work for the players here."

"Ah… Saito always has some mean trick up his sleeve. Now with your help, it's only getting worse. If Tsuge-san is not careful, Saito will overthrow him as most hated coach. Although, the players never learn that Saito is he one responsible for all the mental torture. Was this the plan… ah… I guess we will never know what happens in Saito's mind."

"He told me all he thinks about is his wife. If he doesn't work hard, he doesn't get her special hugs he says. I asked what is so special about her hugs but he wouldn't tell me," Gen-chan said with a pout. He hoped he could use it to motivate his team, but Saito told him it as bad idea.

"I believe she hugs with her legs and not her arms, but it's best if you forget about special hugs for now. Its not something you should do until you are older," Kurobe-san explained.

"Hai Kurobe-san." He already wrote the special hug off so he didn't mind not learning what it was exactly. Besides, he was going to learn way more interesting things here, so missing out on one wasn't important.

Gen-chan got another message and returned to the screens. "Court 7, a clean court means a clean mind. Please refrain from dropping your water bottles everywhere and making a mess. 5 laps around the training camp with weights."

He watched as the court leader quickly started barking out orders for the payers to clean up their bottles. Even focusing on one person who allowed their bottle to roll near the net. He could see the frustration mounting as he the payers cleaned and then started to run. They were blaming each other, which as perfect.

"Sanada-kun, should we let the courts have a break? Join me for lunch," Kurobe-san offered.

"Hai hai, Kurobe-san." Gen-chan bowed his head slightly in acceptance. Gathering the laptop, they gave him, Gensaburo eagerly followed the coach out of the control room.

"Have you heard anything from Gen-chan," Keigo asked.

Genichirou nodded his head "Ah…" His brother had been calling every night to talk. He had a lot of exciting stories and was enjoying himself. Genichirou wasn't sure if he approved of the distance, but he was safe and happy and that was what mattered.

"Well, how is he doing?" Keigo pushed.

Taking a small sip of is tea, Genichirou thought over the answer. "He is doing… well."

Keigo huffed at him. "Anything else? What is he doing? Has he made any friends? Is he eating alright? I know those camps are large and usually sacrifice quality for quantity. IS the food nutritious? Should I send one of my family's personal chefs over to make sure he is healthy?"

"He is fine." He reassured the excitable prince.

"Fine isn't good enough! He should be great! I knew I was a mistake sending him there. He should he be here with us where we can ensure that he has a fun filled summer vacation."

"He is fine," Genichirou stressed. His brother was having a great time. He didn't go into too much detail since he believed Genichirou would be at that camp in a few years and e didn't want to ruin the surprises. But he had a great room, the food was great, and he said the coaches were extremely helpful.

"We should go visit him. Just to be sure!"

"We won't. He is fine." Keigo needed to learn that his little brother was growing up. They couldn't continue to baby Gen-chan. He was making major decisions about his life already and as much as they upset him at the start, he learned to accept it.

"He is surrounded by high-schoolers, what if they bully him?" Keigo was starting to get annoying.

"Ah… I don't think we need to worry about them bullying him," Genichirou reassured his friend. After all, if Gen-chan's stories were anything to go off of, the high-schoolers were the ones being bullied, badly.

"How are you so calm about this!"

Honestly, "Because he is fine." He was a Sanada after all. Nothing would stop him from achieving what he wants.

After a week, Gen-chan was getting restless. He wanted to get on a court and play. He needed to do something active instead of staring at screens all day and scaring the high-schoolers. "Saito-san," Gensaburo said quietly. He didn't to disturb the rest of the control room. "Can I do something outside today?"

"Oh? And what would you like to do?" Saito put down his notes to give him his full attention.

He was thinking about it for a bit before speaking up, and hoped he wold be allowed to go play on his own. "There's an empty court at the back of the grounds. Only Court 1 use it and since they are focussing on conditioning this morning, I was hoping I could use it to practice my tennis."

"You are still a child, you deserve a recess I suppose. Go have fun my little assistant." Gen-chan beamed as he quickly scrambled together his things and rushed out the door. He liked working but it as nice to have a chance to have fun.

Running through the trees, Gen-chan quickly got to the court and pulled out his racket.

Saito smiled as he watched the screen with his assistant on it. The little guy was running around and having a good time. His giggles were filling the control room and the attendant turned up the volume.

"Is he at least playing them? I can't imagine that being surrounded by such strong opponents that Gen-chan will sit back and not challenge them."

Genichirou sipped his tea and thought about taking a trip. All these unwelcome visitors were getting to him. If he didn't know any better, he would think people only spoke to him because of Gen-chan. "He is fine. He is having fun."

"That doesn't tell me anything Genichirou-kun," Seiichi whined in his special 'Better tell me what I want' way.

"It tells you he is fine and that he is having fun." It was that simple, why did no one believe him?

"Should I call him and ask myself? You aren't giving me much information here and you know how I worry about him."

"He is fine." Genichirou made sure that Gen-chan didn't leave a number for Seiichi or Keigo to call. They would be more bothersome than helpful to Gen-chan.

"What about a care package? We ca send his favourite treats, maybe a new shirt. The weather is getting hotter, he could use something light weight."

"He is fine." In fact, Kurobe-san was spoiling him. The man was making sure that Gen-chan was getting meat with every meal. Gensaburo wasn't sure why they started spoiling him more, but they did.

"You are entirely unhelpful. I should take Gen-chan away from you and adopt him as my little brother. I would treat him better than this," Seiichi declared loudly.

He sighed. Why was he surrounded by unreasonable people? "What do you want me to say?"

Seiichi opened his eyes and glared at him seriously. "I want you to tell me he is fine!"

"Gensaburo is fine."

"Thank you! That's all I needed." Seiichi pouted for a couple more minutes before he announced he was leaving.

Genichirou saw him out and then returned to his kendo practice. Maybe he should go visit the temples down south. That would be a nice trip.

Gen-chan was finally discovered by a high-schooler. Normally he would stay in the control room learning new strategies from Kurobe-san or mental torture from Saito. Sometime he was allowed to play on a court alone. If he wasn't working then we would be in his room studying. Magic was tricky. Well potions.

This ingredient reacted to this other ingredient a certain way if you crushed it, but if you sliced it then something else would happen. Cutting and slicing were different things. This plant's leaves were good for healing cuts, but the roots were useless in a topical potion, and were only used in a digestive potion.

Worst of all, he needed to have it all memorized before his tutor would le him start to brew! On top of all that he was still studying Japanese.

Needing a break from books, he snuck out of his room and went to the kitchen to get a drink. Sneaking some of Kurobe-san's tea, Gen-chan sat back to relax for a bit.

"Oh? And who is the chibi in the kitchen when I'm trying to steal things for the coach?"

Looking up, Gen-chan saw a very dirty and beaten up boy. "Oh!" He got very excited. "You came down from the mountain! Are you here to steal the sake?"

The boy gave him a weird look. "How do you know about that chibi? Your dad one of the coaches?"

"No, I'm one of the assistant coaches here! If you want the sake in the bar its guarded heavily. You should take the sake in the store house!" The boy looked so beat up. "If the mountain fun? What do you do all day?"

"Chibi, nothing about that mountain is fun. That old bastard pisses us off all day with his horrible training, and then gets drunk at night and passes out on us. He's the devil! The boy ranted. "He makes us sleep in a cave, he sends his awful bird pals after us. I have never been so tired in my life. My legs haven't stopped shaking since I got up that mountain. I don't know what my arms feel like without pain. My face has aged so much my mother won't recognize me when I go home!"

Gen-chan was bouncing. "that sounds like so much fun!" I want to climb the mountain too! Can I go back with you?"

"What! You want to go up there! Are you crazy chibi! No one wants to go up that mountain." The boy was flailing about and almost knocked his tea over.

"But it sounds fun. Can I come for one day?"

"Ya, why would I bring a child to hell? I am not a monster. Just stay here and enjoy your tea." The boy turned to walk away but Gen-chan stopped him.

"If I get you the sake will you take me?"

"No!" the boy yelled. "I already said that hell is no place for a kid."

Gen-chan watched the boy walk away. Seconds later the security alarm was set off and he could hear the boy swearing as he ran away. If only he listened to him and went and got the sake in the storehouse. It was right beside the soap the boy already stole. Oh well.

Genichirou watched as Yanagi took a sip of his tea. He hadn't escaped fast enough. "How is he doing?"

"He is fine." People should believe in his brother more.

"Good to know." Yanagi said before taking another drink.

Together he two sat in silence and enjoyed their drinks. Gen-chan had called again and told him all about sneaking away to see the mountain. He couldn't say what was special about the mountain, but that it was great fun.

"He made a friend with a mountain lion." He offered.

"Oh? He must be having fun then. I'm glad."

"He will be back in a week."

"Sounds like he is doing fine," Yanagi said.

"Ah."

A/N: Sorry for the long breaks between updates but… WOW… so much WOW. Legion is… yeah. Also this was more of a way to speed through U-17 camp. I had plans for this but when it came to writing it… they all just kinda drifted away from me.
