"Wouaaa wouaa wu wu wouaaaaaaaa!"
A woman pretend not to hear the baby wailing, in the next room, hoping he'll get it but he does the same hoping she'll tend to her. "You gonna get that babe?" The woman finally asks the man.
"I think it's your turn honey." He says reaching over to take more of the covers. A classic move from him hoping to get her out of bed.
"That's the talk of someone who wants to end up on the couch." She says pulling back the covers and pushing him half heartedly out of bed.
"You're the one who said, "Let's try for number four honey." So clearly this is your problem to handle." He says reaching for something on the table.
"You're the one that listened to me. So that's your problem and um that baby came out of my body not yours." She said knowing fell well this is a card she plays too often.
"That sounds like a you problem not a me problem."
"With great power comes great responsibility. Now go out there and take care of your responsibility Spider-Man." She threw a ton of extra emphasize on that last word hoping to win this one.
"Oh, yeah cause I'm the only one with great power in this bed." He said sheepishly.
"Oh, but your power is greater than mine."
"Okay, I guess I'll do it this time only because I'll be able to remind you how you admitted my powers are better than your phasing powers." He said rising from the bed.
"So what'd ya see?" Kitty Pryde asked the newest X-man, Foresight.
"Uh well I saw you and um...look if I tell you what I saw then what I saw might not happen are you sure you want me to tell you what I saw." Matt said.
"So, what you saw was it good." Kitty asked hoping he'd spill some details.
"Well you were married. So if that's good then yes."
"I thought you said you couldn't give details because me knowing them could keep them from happening."
"They could but something that vague most likely won't change anything. Now if I told you who you married that'd be a different story."
"You know who I marry?"
"Well, unless you have a very confusing nickname for him. I feel like I know but the future can change quickly regardless of if you know details or not."
"So then what's the point of not telling me?" Kitty asked.
"If i tell you the future the likelihood of that future would drop greatly but what I see is not set in stone because nothing is definite until it happens."
"So your power suck in other words."
"Pretty Much"
"Alright I'll let you get settled then." Kitty said walking toward the door.
"Could you actually use the door. The phasing is still weird to watch."
"Sure Matt." As soon as Kitty opened the door she doused with ice cold water.
"My powers aren't all bad I saw that gift Bobby planned on leaving me." Matt laughed
Kitty turned to face Matt channelling her inner Wolverine, "There will be vengeance for this."
