Chapter 20
ROUTE 106
Having escaped from the new Team Aqua,and their clinically insane leader Archie, Mira and the others were now traveling on the final leg of their trek to Dewford Town. They had run into a trainer and his Wailord, who helped them catch up to the last ship to leave Checkpoint Island.
Now on Route 106, the girls were taking it easy, at least two of them were.
"Miracle Delilah Ketchum, what on earth do you think you are doing?" Sakinah yelled at her girlfriend.
Said woman was doing pushups with her Hitmonlee, and Treecko, "I'm training."
"That's not what I'm talking about, you have a bullet wound, you should be resting and letting it heal."
Mira's pokemon took this as a sign to walk away before they were caught in the middle, "Whats the big deal, the wound has already closed up."
"It the principal of the matter, it needs to be looked at by a doctor, their may be structural damage." She told her, concern written on her face.
Mira noticed that and got back to her feet, "I'm sorry, but you know I cant sit still." She pulled her girlfriend in for a reassuring hug. "Plus my body has a high regenerative factor."
"I don't care, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the bullet rip through you, even though it was just your shoulder." Saki was beginning to weep.
"I wish I could say, or do something that could put you at ease. But we both know that I was raised to do what I think was right, and let nothing hold me back."
"Then can you at least take it easy, I want you to be with me a long time. That cant happen if your body is torn apart from the inside." Sakinah told her.
"I can try," Mira said, "Now, lets get something to eat, and see what the little one is up to."
LOWER DECK
"18...19...20, Ready or not here we come," Ariel smiled, lifting her head from the desk and releasing her hold on Joltik. "Okay buddy we need to find Buneary, Trapinch, Torchic, Natu, and Krabby, are you up to it!?"
The little bug saluted, "Tik, tik, tik."
"Lets go then." She cheered. She began slowly pacing around the large room she was in. Her and the pokemon had stumbled upon it during their search for a suitable place to play, with their being mainly cargo and some nooks, they deemed it worthy. "Okay,Krabby and Trapinch cant get up high, so low to the ground...I see you Krabby." She declares, pointing to her pokemon who had planted himself among a slue of red items. "Nice choice buddy, too bad you couldn't get higher," She smiled.
"Tik...Joltik." Ariel was drawn by her smallest pokemon sensing something near them.
"I feel it to," Ariel laughed, she took a few more steps and noticed Trapinch sitting in the middle of a few basketballs. "Well that's anticlimactic, I see you Trapinch."
The orange pokemon doesn't seem to notice her, but when she kneels down next to him she hears him snoring. "Pinch, pinch, pinch."
"Amazing, how can he be out like that," She returned the little guy to his ball. "Three left."
She and Joltik kept a keen eye, and one by one she located Buneary, Natu and the aforementioned Torchic.
"Oh yeah, we are the best," She shouted with glee.
Then suddenly, the door slammed open. Scaring Ariel, and knocking her over into a pile of junk.
"Come on Hachi, the boss told us to lay low until he gives the signal," A man said.
The other man grabbed him by the throat and slammed him against the wall, "I don't care, that girl is on the boat, and we were told to get her." Hachi said, "HE may be paying us, but if we get her, then all the money is ours."
"Dude, its The Big Show. I don't want to cross him, he will kill us without even batting an eye." The puny man coward.
The larger man punched him in the face, busting his nose. But this scared Ariel, and she shrieked.
"Crap, were not alone." HE said, "Let out the dogs."
The two men released a pair of Houndour and the dogs began to sniff out for their company.
Ariel panicked and ran, knocking things over and alerting the men to where she was. "She's over here," The smaller man said.
"Crap," Ariel turned to smack her body into the larger man's chest.
"Well, what do we have here," Hachi grabbed her shoulders and held her over his head, "I do believe we just caught, what we were looking for."
"Let go of me." Ariel struggled.
"I don't think so," Hachi laughed, "Dimitri, get the cage."
The two men were so enveloped in Ariel, that they didn't notice Joltik crawl down her body and release her strongest pokemon. The bright, white, light illuminated the room and blinded the two men.
"Crap, what was that?" Dimitri wondered.
"ARCANINE!"
The large fire dog rushed the larger man, knocking its trainer free of his grip. Ariel landed upon his back and patted his head, "Use extreme-speed and get us out of here." The dog smirked, and instantly they were gone.
"After her!" Hachi yelled.
The pair of Houndour, and Dmitri quickly gave chase, and Hachi took ff in a different direction.
"We need to get to Miracle and Sakinah," Ariel kept an eye on the trio giving chase, "Joltik slow them down with spider web." The tick pokemon popped off her shoulder and blasted the hallway with his sticky webs, effectively closing it off...Until the Houndour burned right through it, but it still gave her some needed space.
Luckily for them, the halls were empty. Not even a crew member to be seen, as they climbed the stairs.
"Hello girl," Ariel, and Joltik looked forward and there was the larger of the two men, Hachi.
"Crap," Ariel was about to crash, when another ball on her belt opened. Buneary appeared and kicked the man in the face.
"Bun...Buneary."
The man fell just as Arcanine leaped over his body.
"Damn pests," Hachi yelled, he quickly got up and was then run down by his friends, leaving them in a large pile on the floor.
Ariel took that as a sign,and bolted.
"Get off me Dmitri, and get the damn girl." The men scrambled, out of breath and in a bind, they eventually reached the final staircase.
"Are we there yet?" Dmitri asked.
"Yeah are you there yet?" The two men looked to the top of the stairs, and there stood an angry, and irritated, muscular blonde and her pail, porcelain counterpart. The child they were retrieving hiding behind them.
"Who the hell are you?" Hachi demanded.
Saki looks back to Ariel, "Are these guys bothering you, sweetie?"
"They're working for Big Show!"
Those words, they sent a spark of anger through the two girls.
"Really, then I guess they need a lesson. Just like he got." Miracle smiled maniacally.
"No mercy needed, I think I should just melt their brains." Saki added.
"Kick them in the balls," Ariel yelled.
"Like I give a flying fuck what you think about me or my employer, Houndour flamethrower!" Hachi commanded.
Mira didn't even say anything, as her Hitmonlee blocked it with his blaze kick. Then Treecko flew in, nailing Hachi with iron tail. "Oh I guess you didn't see them."
"Gardevoir use moon blast," Saki ordered. The psychic pokemon started to collect a large ball of pink energy above her head.
"What kind of attack is that?" Dmitri quietly asked his partner.
"I have no idea," Hachi replied.
Gardevoir finished charging and unleashed a cannon like shot at the two men and their pokemon. And three of them were knocked out.
"Was that one of those fairy moves you've been talking about?"Mira asked her girlfriend.
"Yeah, I say it did the trick," Saki smiled.
"You little bitches," Hachi yelled, running right for them.
Right then a bug flew right in and latched onto his face, knocking him all the way back to the bottom of the stairs.
'Its that same bug,' Mira says to herself. "Ariel give me Trapinch." The red head quickly hands the ball over, and Mira releases him. "Rock tomb."
Trapinch releases four balls of light, they circled the two guy and then turned into large rocks, they then rammed into them and held them into place, unable to move.
"Let me go," Hachi yells.
"I don't think so, you are going to tell me all I want to know or me and my friend are going to anchor those rocks to your legs and let them drag you to the bottom of Route 106." Mira tells them.
"I'm not going to tell you shit," Hachi growls.
Mira nods to Saki, who in turn, requests Gardevoir to push the rocks even tighter against them.
"It can only get worse," Saki tells them.
"I'll talk!" Dmitri screams in pain.
"Good," Mira and Saki released the smaller of the two. "Now spill."
"We are nothing more then hired muscle, Big Show gets a contract and reports it to us, if its a snatch and grab we get a percentage if we help get them. Same with pokemon, or item acquisition." HE said, "The girl is just the latest of his contracts. We actually haven't done anything like this in over twenty years."
"What did you do twenty years ago?" Saki asked him.
"He contacted us with abducting newborns, seventeen to be precise. Never from one place, but all over every league, and bring them back to Kanto."
Those words echoed through the two girls, Mira now knew the men who had ripped her from her birth parents home. Brought her and those she loved and cared for into a war of unending heartache.
"You bastards," Miracle grabbed the man by his throat, and slammed him into the wall, "You are the cause of all this, you are the reason I am a burden to those I love."
The man was shaking, afraid of the child that was treating him like a pillow. "What did we do?"
"I was one of those kids you abducted, I was tested on, poked with needles and given a drug cocktail that could have killed a Tauros. You are the reason I am a freak of nature," Mira shifted into her alternate form, and was putting more pressure on the mans windpipe.
"Don't kill him Mira," Saki warned, "He needs to go to prison for what hes done, not die."
"Give me one good reason why I should let him live any longer," She asked.
Ariel spoke up, he voice shaking a bit, "Because if it wasn't for them, you wouldn't have your parents or friends."
Mira screamed at the top of her lungs, she threw the man to the floor and flew out of sight and off the boat.
"MIRACLE!" Saki shouted, "MIRA!"
But nothing could get under the skin, and past the barriers that her girlfriend just concocted. Leaving Sakinah and Ariel alone with no clue where she was going.
