Death Weapon Meister Academy: Partner Selection Day
"Come on Aile, we need to do this."
"Easy for you to say Prairie, you're not a weapon!"
The taller of the two girls, with long blonde hair and blue eyes, just smiled as she tugged her partner through the school's halls. The shorter of the two had short spiky brown hair and heterochomatic eyes. The taller, Prairie, just laughed as the shorter, Aile, tried to come to a halt.
Prairie stopped before a door to a classroom, the sign stated this was where the freshmen were gathering. As she reached for the door she felt a light tug on her sleeve, turning she met the timid gaze of Aile.
"Aile? What's wrong?"
"It's just, I don't know what I am. Everyone else has had some parts of their weapon modes show up, but I just glowed."
"And? I have already made my choice. No matter what weapon you become, I shall stay with you."
"But what if-"
Prairie didn't let the girl continue, as she pulled the girl into a kiss. They stayed like that for a minute before they seperated. Aile was panting while Prairie smiled. She pulled the girl into a hug and began whispering into her ear.
"Aile, what kind of girlfriend would I be if I walked away from you? I would rather fall prey to a Kishin then let that happen."
"But Prairie, if I can't transform, that would happen anyway."
"I can't tell if that was your attempt at humor, or not."
The girls seperated, and Prairie once again reached for the door, pausing slightly to allow Aile to collect herself. When that was done she put on a big smile as pushed open the door.
Aile sighed as she stood next to Prairie, drowning out the Teacher's speech on working together. She didn't need to be told this, she and Prairie had grown up together, and they loved each other. If there was any deeper form of partnership, Aile was jealous that she and Prairie weren't there yet.
The girl then began pondering what she was supposed to be. Her arms and legs began glowing when her weapon abilities awakened, but that didn't show her what she was. She had been told that usually a blade or some sort of apparatus grew out of you. But all she did was glow.
Was she a bladed weapon? A gun?
The girl was pulled out of her thoughts by Prairie grabbing her hand. She looked up to the smiling face of her love and chuckled. She was then pulled by Prairie towards the center of the room before the Teacher.
"Alright, ready for your demonstration?"
And then Aile felt her heart stop.
Prairie grinned as the Teacher pulled out a testing dummy and placed it in the center of the room. She then pulled Aile into position as the rest of the students moved back.
"Begin when you are ready."
Prairie nodded and turned to Aile, laughing at the frightened and angry look she was getting from the girl.
"Come on Aile, we can do this, you just need to concentrate."
Aile paused, but she sighed and then nodded, calming herself considerably. The girl then closed her eyes and started to concentrate. It was several seconds before the girl started glowing in a cyan light. Aile's body suddenly broke apart into several streamers of energy that collected in the palm of Prairie's hand.
When the energy subsided Prairie saw what Aile's weapon form was, and she smiled. It was a hilt of a sword, but it had no blade. It was pure white with a red gem at its center and lavender fabric abround the handle.
Raising her arm Prairie's expression became serious as a panel opened on the hilt. When the girl rushed towards her target, a long triangular blade flared into existence. The blade shined with a pleasant green light. Prairie swung the blade and it cleaved the dummy in two.
Jumping back the blade faded, which caused Prairie to raise an eyebrow, wondering what happened. She got her answer as the hilt then folded and split apart to open up into a gun barrel. Prairie could feel Aile's surprise as she raised the gun and pulled the trigger.
A large blue ball of energy fired from the weapon, hitting the target and blasting another chunk from it. Prairie was about to lower Aile, but the weapon then reverted back into its basic form and then split in half. Quickly catching it Prairie felt Aile push her forward.
Complying with the thought Prairie rushed forward as two thin energy blades flashed into existence. She then sliced at the dummy, raising an eyebrow at the sight of violet sparks jumping from the dummy.
When she was done Prairie was panting. The blades began glowing and jumped from her hands as Aile materialized. The girl had a shocked look on her face as she turned to Prairie. The taller girl didn't speak, for she quickly pulled the girl closer and pulled her into a kiss.
They seperated when the Teacher cleared his throat, Aile tried to jump back, but Prairie still held her. She was fully aware of the jealous looks she was getting from some of the students. Leaning closer she again began whispering into Aile's ear.
"What did I tell you? Nothing to worry about my Love."
"S-So, I am three weapons in one?"
"That just means you're special."
The two quickly bowed and then walked back to their spots. Prairie held Aile's hand as she whispered one last thing that made Aile blush.
"You are my one and only Lovely Little Wing."
Another chapter complete. I hope you enjoyed!

I have no idea where this one came from, but as I needed a shot of adorableness in my week, you got this.
Also Soul Eater NOT! is REALLY adorable. I suggest you watch it if you haven't.
Now that my mind has been cleaned of all of the depressing stories I tried to write, curse you Persona, I will get out of my rut soon.
Side note, I love the Persona Series, but it is hard for me to write for it.
Again, I hope you enjoyed.
Have a nice day!
