(Sis' POV)
"How do think the mission is going, Kix?" I ask. Rex, Cody, Slick, the Jedi, and most of our brothers went on the mission, leaving Kix and I behind, and leaving me a bit worried.
"I'm sure things are going fine." He tells me. But I know the truth, he's just as nervous as I am. I bet he thinks I don't notice, but I heard him, he sounds uncertain and even nervous. Not to mention that I see him wipe his hands whenever I ask him questions like this, probably sweaty palms.
I decided to change the topic, for both of us. "Did you mean what you said to General Kenobi?"
Then there was a silence. He seemed to tense up a bit, by the way he crossed his arms and how his hands held on to his arms. I began to get a little suspicious, I haven't really seen him do that, then again it's the first time I've asked a question like this. A question about me.
"Of course I did." He finally said. "You heard what I said." That was more of a statement than a question. He knew the answer.
"Yes." I told him. "You weren't exactly quiet. But I didn't hear what the General said. What exactly did he say?" I know it wasn't my place to ask about that, but I was curious about what the General said, but I was more curious to know if Kix would tell me or not.
His mouth moved, like he was about to say something, but then we heard a groaning sound. I turn to the entrance and it was Gus, one of Slick's men, he was holding his arm. He looked like he was in pain, based on him biting his lower lip and how tightly he had his eyes closed.
I ran to him and led him to a chair. "What happened?" I ask him, as I gently pull his hand away from arm, so I could examine his wound, his sleeve of his shirt under the armor cut, it was also blood on it.
"Droids attacked us." Gus said, more like growled with anger. I hold my hand out towards Kix and he gave me a piece of cloth and I began to wipe the blood. When he made a hissing sound, I figured where the wound was. I checked and it was a cut, it looked like there were also bruises on or around it, but I couldn't tell, but the cut itself didn't look severe to me.
"Looks like they gave you a cut. It'll be sore, but it's not severe." I tell Gus. Kix immediately gives me a patch and some bandages. I gently press the patch on the wound, then I wrap the bandages around it, so it'll stay. "Keep the bandages there for a few hours."
"Yes Ma'am." Gus says to me. Then I suddenly felt my face warm up again. That was the first time I was called 'Ma'am, and to be honest, I liked it. "Oh, by the way," Gus tells me, with a smirk before he leaves. "The Sergeant, Slick, wanted me to tell you that he's okay." I almost forget about Slick! I'm happy he's okay, and I'm happier he made sure I knew.
I turn to Kix and he smiles at me. "Not bad, Sis." I raise an eyebrow at him. What did he mean by that? He chuckles. "You did a good job with his wound."
I felt my face warm up again, I honestly didn't really notice what I really, I know it sounds stupid, but it's true. "I-I just did what you taught me, Sir. He was injured and I did what I had to, as a medic."
"And you did a good job." Then when he pats my head, I felt my face really burning up. "Clean your hands and you can go see Slick." I smiled at that and I quickly began to clean my hands. When my hands were clean I quickly walked out and began to look for Slick. I was walking into the Mess Hall when I bumped into Rex and Cody. They both stopped me and spoke to me.
"You're aware of who Slick's men are?" Rex asked me. I nodded. Why did he want to know.
"Go find them and bring them to Slick's barracks. You know where that is, right?" Cody asks me.
"Yes, Sir." I tell them. I want to ask why, but I figured it was none of my business.
"Good." They both said and walked off. I walk into the Mess Hall and I look around for Slick's men. When I finally found, Jester, Punch, Gus, Sketch and Chopper, I tell them what the Commander and Captain said. Everyone, minus Chopper, listened to.
"Why?" He said in his usually sour tone.
I forced myself not to snap at him. "I don't know, but that is what they ordered me to tell you." He rolled his eyes, but he does begin to walk back to the barracks, and I follow him, along with the other men. Slick was here, talking with Rex and Cody, I didn't pay much attention to what they said. But I do when they ordered the men to sit. I stand near them, feeling somewhat awkward.
"Sis, maybe you should go." Slick tells me. He sounded a bit nervous. What was going on?
"I'm fine here, Sir." I respond. Rex and Cody looked at each other, like they wanted me to leave too, but they don't really how any signs of that, or even say anything.
Then Cody says to the men. "We have a turncoat in our midst. And we think it's one of you."
