Edward's POV

"It's been a while since Bella took off and I thought I'd give her some space. After a few hours she hadn't returned so I went looking for her scanning the town for her scent. Forks wasn't an exceedingly large place so it wasn't very hard to find Bella."

"I couldn't help but let my fears and emotions get the best of me while looking for her. I moved frantically everywhere and there was so sign of Bella, I picked up her scent near a bar. What would Bella be doing at a bar. I couldn't help but think that Bella could be hurt, I stormed into the bar asking everyone if they had seen a girl fitting Bella's description."

"Some motherfucker decided to give me attitude and I threw him into the window of the bar...unfortunately for him there were security bars on the window. A part of his head cracked open and after seeing that everyone gave me the information that I wanted."

"The bartender told me Bella had consumed an insane amount of alcohol, that doesn't sound like Bella. Could I have pushed her over the edge, am I really such a monster that me being around Bella and talking to her makes her become self-destructive."

"I wish I didn't need her so much, if I could just leave her alone she'd be find. But I'm too much of a selfish person to do that, I can't even let her go."

"I headed in the direction I was told Bella went and the further I went the more stronger her scent would become. Her scent was so addicting, it intoxicated me. Everytime I smelled it a million different emotions and sensation would roam through me. Not all of them good, there's still a part of me that thirst for her blood and wants to consume it until there's no life left in her."

"Bella's scent ended at a lake and I immediately scanned the area for her...No Bella. Panic set in me and on impulse I immediately jumped in the water."

"Bella was at the bottom and I swam to her, there was a lump in my throat and the possibility that she could be dead scared me to death. I pulled Bella out of the water and I didn't need to put my head close to her chest to know she wasn't breathing. I couldn't hear even a slight little beat in her chest. She had no pulse and I was beginning to panic, my hands were shaking and I didn't know what to do"

"I shook her and screamed out her name but she wouldn't wake up. I started CPR with hope that she'd respond but she didn't"

"Bella, wake up! You can't leave me, Bella, wake up!"

"No response."

"She was cold and pale like a ghost, her eyes were closed and she wasn't moving. I never imagined what Bella would look like dead but I guess this is it, I felt a part of me die aswell"

"I couldn't let her go, I did the only thing that came into mind and bit into her neck hoping there was a little bit of life left in her"

"It was the first time tasting her blood and I went into a frenzy, I immediately pulled her closer and sucked harder. Her blood slid down my throat and ephoria took over, I could feel my eyes blazing red and my strength increasing. Although I drank human blood before, I never felt anything like this"

"The fact that she wasn't moving or struggling reminded me of what I really was suppose to be doing, I immediately pulled away"

"Minutes passed and it seemed like a lifetime, I was losing hope but Bella started moving. She was twisting and turning but her eyes were still closed, I notice color was starting to come back to her and her body began to heat up. She still wasn't quite conscious but in just a few minutes, everything will be better"

"A voice pulled me away from my thoughts and I recognized it immediately"

"Edward stop this!" "It was Alice"

"What are you doing here?" I asked her stunned.

"I saw Bella jump in the water and I also know you hypnotized me Edward" "Her voice was so assured and yet confusing at the same time

"My subconscious blocked my visions from me that's why I couldn't see what you were doing before. How-when did you even have time to hypnotize me-know what, forget it. Bella is what matters right now and you can't change her Edward. It has to be HER choice"

"Alice is right, son. If you change her she can way up and thank you for saving her or she could hate you forever and never forgive you. Are you willing to take that chance?"

"I don't care if she hates me, once she's alive."

"Why force her into a life she may not want and may even loathe, how do you know she wouldn't rather be dead than be one of us. You can't turn her into a vampire just because YOU want her to live." "Rosalie had a point"

"Edward, this is the time to show you're not truly a selfish monster and undo what you did. She isn't awake to make this choice and she jumped in the water of her own free wil. She wanted to die Edward, atleast let her choice be her own...even if it is her last. Who are we to make that decision for her"

"I couldn't believe what Carlisle was telling me"

"You're running out of time Edward, suck the venom out of her or I will"

"But she could die!"

"There's a slight chance she may not, the venom has already revived her and she's breathing on her own. If you take it from her she could die or she just may stay alive, it depends on her will to live. You've got 10 seconds"

"I couldn't think straight and time was winding down. They were right, this is my chance to show Bella I'm not selfish...even if it could kill her. I bit into Bella and sucked out the venom, she started to cold again. What have I done...?"

"I picked Bella's cold body up in my arms and held her tight and time just seemed to stop"

"Calisle gave me a sympathetic look and we started to leave, taking Bella away."

My steps came to a halt, when I heard a faint sound come from Bella. Her voice was weak but I know I heard her call my name.
