What If? Chapter 21- Epilogue
A couple casually walked down the streets of took. The man was tall and thin with long black hair, aristocratic features, ad strange brown eyes that had an amber glow to them. The woman at his side had bright blue eyes outlined in black, making them glow in an unearthly fashion, and long black hair that fell in waves down her back.
"Kagome?" a questioning voice called out. The girl stopped and looked for the person who called her. Her eyes landed on a young man with brown eyes, dark hair, and plain features.
"Hojo." Kagome replied. Hojo pulled Kagome into a hug and backed away, grasping her hands and looking her over.
"I see you have gotten over your illness. I was so worried when you mom said you had to be home schooled and couldn't see anyone, but look at you. What have you been doing?" Hojo asked, not yet realizing that the man at Kagome's side seemed to be seething with jealous rage at his close proximity.
"Well I am working closely with a privet contractor on a new park for the children in the… less fortunate side of town." Kagome replied, pulling her hands from his.
"Wow, I had no idea you were into that!" Hojo gushed. He was about to say something more when the unknown man's deep, cutting voice sounded.
"Kagome my love, we will be late if you don't hurry." The man coaxed as slipped his hand into hers.
"Who is this?" Hojo asked.
"I'm sorry; this is my husband, Sesshomaru. We just got married a few months ago." Kagome confessed.
"Sesshomaru as in Sesshomaru Taisho, the best lawyer in all of Japan?" Hojo asked with a small gulp.
"Yes. I am sorry but my wife and I really must be going now." Sesshomaru cut as Kagome began to tug him down the road, throwing a 'nice to see you again' over her shoulder.
They walked to a small temple and climbed the several steps. When they reached the top their eyes were assaulted by the sight of Inuyasha and Naraku lying on the ground with three black and silver haired children piled on top of them.
"Mama, Papa!" the smallest shouted as she bound over to the couple, who allowed their illusions to drop. Sesshomaru caught his daughter as she launched herself at him.
"Welcome home sister." Naraku said as he strode over a, dusting off his traditional garb. Kagome pulled him into a short hug as she whispered to him.
"It's good to be home."
It's done forever. While this was a joy to finish it was also a burden. As shown by the change in the chapters my writing changed a lot over the years so please know there will NOT be a sequel.
