On Monday morning, Quinn entered Rachel's office with an agenda in her hand, to talk to her boss about how to proceed regarding to some important matters. They discussed visits of suppliers and buyers, interviews that the CEO needed to do to increase the team of designers, since the production had increased during the last year and she was too involved with administration and was creating very little, and also about routine meetings with shareholders.
"You have some invitations. Do you wanna see them?" The blonde girl asked, just because it was part of her duties, but imagining she would be, as always, instructed to answer all of them with thanks and apologies for impossibility to attend.
"What are the events this time?" The question in itself was a big surprise, though Rachel has not shown interest enough to take your eyes off the computer screen.
"There's a wedding, a christening, a birthday and two charitable gala balls. One is for that institution for people with special needs to which you donate every year. The other one is for a hospital." She reported, reading the list.
"Make a donation for the hospital and send them the message we always send." She said, finally looking at the other girl. "When is the other one?"
"At the end of next week." Quinn answered. "It's been a long time since you've been to an event!" She dared to observe, facing Rachel's different behavior.
"I can't go to these marriages and baptisms of people who only invite me to be gentle, right? And these gala balls have glamor, but they're usually boring." She observed. She not even had thought about going before, but now that she could have Finn with her, it could not be a bad idea. She would at least have a good excuse to see him in a beautiful tuxedo and would parade in a wonderful new dress.
"As you are one of the largest donors, you received several tickets. Maybe if you take some friends with you, it can be fun." Suggested the secretary.
"You'd like to go to such party, don't you, Quinn?"
"No. I didn't mean to imply..."
"It's okay! You've been working for me for a long time, and I know you and Noah don't have many opportunities to go out and enjoy special dates."
"I wouldn't have a dress." She replied awkwardly.
"That's no problem. I have many! And you have bigger breast, but I'm sure Mercedes would fix that easily. Do you have someone to take care of the kids?"
"I could ask my mother." She said, trying to contain the excitment she was feeling.
"So, it's settled. Two of the tickets are for you and Noah. I'll talk to Mercedes about your dress." She smiled and the other girl reciprocated.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, Quinn. I don't know why I didn't think about sending you to represent me before." She laughed.
"So... you're not going?" She asked, a bit discouraging. "Must I send a message to them too?"
"For now, you don't need to, but I'll tell you later." She said thoughtfully. "How many invitations did I receive?"
"Ten."
"Great." She smiled, thinking that, with Finn and other eight friends or acquaintances, even a boring party could acquire potential. She turned to the computer again and the secretary left the room, to where, about fifteen minutes later, came her boyfriend.
"What was so urgent? Work?" Finn asked, closing the door behind him. Had received almost a subpoena by whatsapp, to go to her office.
"Personal affairs, Mr. Counter." She said playfully, getting up and hugging him. "I have an invitation to get you."
"I accept." He assured her, stroking her face and stealing a peck.
"You don't even know what invitation it is!" She laughed.
"Where would I not go with you, Rach?" It was her turn to attach her lips to his, unable to resist such perfection!
"Fine, then. We have to go see Mercedes, so she can arrange you a tuxedo. I'll talk to her and make an appointment. The party is at the end of next week and your cousin Rory can also go, if he wants to. I have ten tickets." She continued talking, but he did not pay much attention to the list of people she said she was going to invite, much more interested in watching her enthusiasm.
The next few days were hectic, with several visits to Mercedes's studio, because she ended up escorting both Kitty and Harmony, as Quinn and Brittany, for whom she also decided to give a ticket, and also Finn and Rory. Only Puck and Sam went alone to try on the clothes, whose rent was paid by their generous boss.
Rachel had no friends who had not been invited to the dance and her bodyguards, secretary and housekeeper were part of her life for long enough to deserve her consideration. As much as it might seem strange, since she was a millionaire, she would have no problem getting along a little more with them outside their work hours. She couldn't have prejudice, when she herself had gone through ordeals, perhaps bigger than theirs.
When the big day came, the nine of them were divided into two cars and drove to the event, and Finn was grateful that Rachel had not rented a limousine. He was already feeling enough like a loser going with the popular girl to prom, because even though he was no longer so shy and insecure as before, he always saw her as the woman who could be imposing and striking, and call the attention of everyone around her, even though she was not even five foot seven in height.
Furthermore, he thought that this type of event would be filled with photographers and journalists at the entrance, and he was already imagining himself acting like Hugh Grant's character in the movie Notting Hill, leaving the whole car awkwardly, unsure what to do, with the stunning girl that would atract the spotlights to her, amused the situation. So, when he held Rachel's hand, sitting beside him, his own hands were sweaty and cold.
It was a bit embarrassing to explain to her the reason for his nervousness, but she surprised him by not laughing, as he imagined she would. In fact, she assured him she didn't like the flashes nor the questions about her that reporters from magazines and newspapers liked to make, and that therefore they would get in, as she had done many other times, thru a side door of the hotel where the gala evening would take place.
They did so, entering the main hall and occupying a large table reserved by the organizers especially to Miss Berry. From that moment, could have been a prom like any other, with good music playing, people dancing, eating and drinking too much and watching each other with predominantly critical gaze, and women making comments about others' fashion choices and looking at the well-dressed ones with envy.
This time, however, Rachel had someone to gossip, which made everything so much fun. She also had Finn to dance with, despite the fact that she haven't made it once, to the sound of classics like Let's do it, Night and Day and I've got you under my skin, because it was necessary to have some technique, to join the couples that were on the dance floor at the time they were played, without embarrassment. A little later, when a band replaced the orchestra, featuring hits like You've got a way and Wonderful Tonight, Finn finally asked her to dance.
They stopped only when music was interrupted briefly, because they would have an auction of antiques, works of art, jewelry and objects that once belonged to famous artists, donated by guests. And that was when Finn had the greatest surprise that would make worthwhile attending the party, even if it was boring, which was not the case.
"Hudson?" A guy in a wheelchair approached him, smiling.
"Artie?" He rose from his chair, on an impulse, causing the other man to laugh.
"Yeah, it's me, dude!" Finn hesitated to embrace his old friend, thanks to all that had happened in their past, but Abrams' smile encouraged him.
"How are you doing? It's really nice to see you!"
"It's very good to see you too." He said, sincere. "And I'm fine! Now I'm one of the coordinators of this institution. And you? What are you doing?"
"Working with accountability. Nothing much." He shrugged. "Let me introduce you to Rachel, my girlfriend." He said, showing the girl, who was sitting next to him, and they greeted each other, while Finn sat in his place again.
The three of them began a long conversation that did not end, even with the end of the auction and the band returning to the stage. Only long after, they were interrupted by Kitty, who threw herself in a close seat, complaining of monotony. For Quinn, Brittany, Sam and Puck, everything was new, so it was natural that they were having fun, but the vet girl had already gone to some gala balls with her parents and was not so excited with the luxury and abundance. With Harmony accepting Rory's invitation to dance, she became the only one without a pair in the group and the party was over for her.
"I should be offended, because I'm one of the organizers of the party. Artie Abrams." He observed, offering his hand to the blonde girl, but he was not satisfied using a handshake to greet her and brought her hand to his lips.
"Kitty Wilde." She smiled back, delighted with his gallant gesture.
"BUT I agree that it's something for middle age people." He winked, making her blush, which didn't go unnoticed by Rachel. "And I know about a party that will start after this one, at the apartment of a millionaire... and they say her parties are anything but boring. If you wanna go, I can take all of you with me."
Finn and Rachel looked at each other, while Kitty said it was obvious that they would. They smiled at each other, accomplices, deciding they weren't going to spoil their friends' plans. Moreover, they would also like to prolong their night in a party of high reputation. They called the others, who also agreed to go and, not long after, they followed Artie to the apartment, that looked like a crowded nightclub with people dressed in formal attire.
The only similarities between that party and the previous one were the clothes of the guests and the chilled champagne. There was no band, but a DJ, and the songs were agitated and contemporary, not classical and slow. The behavior of the guests was not formal, but relaxed. It was dark enough for couples to share kisses and caresses, against the walls and even in the middle of the dance floor, rubbing their bodies to the rhythm of songs like Burn, and letting it burn, like the singer was saying.
"I think I drank too much." Rachel told her boyfriend, laughing, already in the middle of the night, but with the party still crowded with people.
"I also think I overdid it today." He joined her in laughter, smoothing her waist and kissing her neck.
"I need some fresh air, baby." She said, pouting. "Let's get some air!" She took his hand and walked through the crowd.
"But where, baby girl?" He questioned near her ear, but she did not respond because he couldn't listen with the music at such volume.
They reached a ladder that was on the other side of the huge room, after passing by Quinn and Noah, who were sharing passionate kisses, Sam and Britt, who were having shots of tequila, and Kitty, who was sitting on Artie's lap, laughing at a dance he did with the top of his body. Rachel was unsure if the couple that was making out in a corner was formed or not by Harm and Rory, but she left to figure it out later and pulled Finn upstairs.
"And that's it! Fresh air... or at least the freshest we can get it in Philadelphia." She joked, entering the terrace.
"How did you know about this place?" He talked with a husky voice and a naughty smile appearing on his face.
"I saw someone talking about coming by helicopter." She said, pointing to the vehicle, and barely finished the sentence before she felt his lips and tongue on her skin, and his hands on her waist, pulling her to him.
There was no conversation between them. Finn looked around and chose a pillar that could not be seen if someone came from the stairs, taking his girlfriend there, lifting her body and getting between her legs. All his movements were very fast, from the kisses in her mouth, neck and breasts, to lifting her dress, tearing her panties, opening his belt and pants.
They touched each other as they kissed some more, in a hurried manner and even a little roughly, but soon he was inside of her and it was the turn of his hips to move fast. Finn took off almost all of his cock from Rachel's pussy and invested against her again, slamming his body into hers, moaning loudly. She squeezed his back, her legs around him, also moving her hips as much as she could in her not so comfortable position.
Suddenly, they heard voices coming from nearby and they had to slow down and control their moans, but they did not stop fucking. Finn made rapid movements, but less extensive, keeping his body close to hers and letting the friction on her clit get more intense, which, along with the adrenaline from danger of being caught, made them come soon. Sex was fast but very intense and a great way to end that different night.
After the party, several others came, as good as that one, and Rachel simply forgot that it was not only the possibility of being bored that had kept her away from the big events.
The young woman was so much more relaxed and happy than at any other time in her life, that she ended up leaving aside her care about her own safety, without realizing it.
So... what do you think, huh?
