Chapter 21: Montreal Misfortune
June 19th 6:00 PM
When we last left the Kurosaki team, Ichigo pulled out an emotional win at Watkins Glen. His spiritual journey left him at peace with his mother's death as he stormed through the field. After the race he essentially announced his relationship with Orihime to the world with an emotion fuelled kiss that was more than likely seen around the world. But in Ichigo's mind he didn't care. He could beat off all of those vultures that would harm his Hime.
The drivers found themselves in the driver's meeting after recomposing themselves from the race and the interviews.
"Okay, I am going to make this last one quick. The next race will be at the Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve. 2.7 miles long and really fast broken by multiple chicanes. From the front stretch you go into a left hander that you break almost to first gear to go into the right hander at two. A lot of wrecks happen here so be careful. From there you drive down to the next chicane a left to right hander that you need to stay close to the wall. From there turn 5 is a sweeping turn leading to a slower left right chicane at 6 and 7. This leads to a long stretch that ends in a similar set up to turns 3 and 4, slowing down to third gear to almost second gear. This opens up to the hairpin turn that you almost seemingly stop. This then leads to the fastest stretch on the circuit which then leads to the final right-left chicane which is really tricky because pit road is right at turn 12. That is one lap at this circuit. Good night get some rest. Next couple of days you guys have off. You really earned it. I will see you in Montreal."
The drivers thanked Isshin and walked out. "Ichigo?" Said driver turned around. "Your mom would be proud of you. Orihime?" The girl turned around. "Masaki would love you. I would be proud to call you my daughter-in-law one day."
Both red heads blushed. "Oh give it a rest old man." Ichigo said with no malice. Isshin laughed. "What can't an old man be optimistic about his future grandchildren?" The red heads ran out of the room in a furious blush.
"I must say those two make a perfect couple." Kisuke said walking over.
Isshin smiled. "You know it." He then frowned. "What's going on with Souske?"
Kisuke sighed. "Souske just started plans for buying out Shell. If the deal goes through…we will be the only ones left."
Isshin groaned. "Great is there nothing that can stop him?"
Kisuke grinned. "There just might be. In the wake of Google being forced to break up, any company doing business in the European Union is subject to an audit which will take a couple of months. The European Union's version of an IRS will be hiring a third party auditor and if they believe that something is awry they can force the sale to terminate."
"Okay so what happens if the sale doesn't go through?"
"I can answer that." William said walking up to then. "I have looked at the financials. With the current stock prices, Shell is asking for 850 Billion Euros or over 350 Trillion Yen. Even with the money accounted for, they are still over 60% off."
Isshin crossed his arms. "Have you found anything else?"
William nodded. "I have looked at the infrastructure that he bought out in the Middle East. The amount processed and the prices each month are way off from each other in the two accounts. He's doing Mark-to-marketing accounting based on this. He's having the accountants base the future cash flows based at the time of the contract signing. The last few years there has been in an economic downturn that should have shrunk the futures because of decreased demand. But the supposed profits remained high."
Kisuke sat down and rubbed his head. "So you are saying that there might be something else."
William nodded. "I've only gotten so far because I've hit a brick wall. Many of the files are behind encrypted security. It's going to take a while if at all to break this."
Isshin looked at William. "Is there anything that can start getting him investigated?
William scratched his chin. "Yes and funnily enough he is being looked at for tax evasion in the United States, the FTC has been looking at his public tax records but they can't get the full story."
Isshin nodded. "Thanks William. Maybe we can get our contact in the Souske camp to spill some of the information."
William sighed. "You know they are going to find out sooner or later right?" He asked.
"We know. We are still trying to sort out enough where they won't get in trouble. We will bring them in when the time is right." Kisuke said.
William looked at the two gentlemen. "My son is a smart boy. What happens if he gets hold of this flash drive? He knows a lot of tech people he could hire some to hack this."
Isshin smiled. "I know. And personally I rather they find out on their own. If they find out we'll figure out a way to break it to them. Until then do not say anything.
William nodded and they separated.
In the common room
The four drivers and the two reporters were lounging around. The girls were comfortably wrapped in their boyfriends arms on the couch in t-shirts and sleep shorts while the guys where in normal shorts and t-shirts.
They were watching Sportscenter when the race highlights came on.
"Guys look at this." Andrew said turning up the volume.
"Father's Day. It's a time for BBQ, golf, football and hanging out with dad.
"That's right James. But it was the one racing for his mother that got all of the attention this Father's Day Afternoon. Fifteen Years Ago Friday, Ichigo Kurosaki watched his mother sacrifice herself for him a drunk driving accident. Fifteen years later he is racing in the Grand Prix in his mother's memory. And what he did today was probably the best thing he could do. Round 14 of the World Grand Prix took place at Watkins Glen International.
(Begin Montague on the screen. Overhead shot then a pan to Ichigo's face) Ichigo started 19th after a bad qualifying run so he had his work cut out for him.
"Let's pick this up on Lap 48. Jason Webber in the 041 blows an engine which brings out the full-course yellow. Restart on lap 52, they come out of the boot and all heck breaks loose. Ten cars in the wreck.
Now let's split screen and spot shadow the 15. As we roll the footage and see the chaos unfold watch as the 99 helicopters with the 15 having nowhere to go somehow dodges everything.
Fortunately everyone is okay. Thank goodness for all of the safety features.
From the couch with Ichigo, Orihime hugged Ichigo tighter and Ichigo squeezed the girl closer.
The wreck brought out the red flag as clean up and repairs to the track were needed. It was an hour and 45 minutes and the drivers were allowed out of their cars. Ichigo though decided to take a nap.
This got the others to laugh and Ichigo to mock scowl.
Well whatever he did Greg it worked, because when the red flag was lifted he was a man on a mission. (Shows him passing multiple cars) Lap 85 he passes Robert Johnson and he put it in cruise control. After the race was over, it was a jubilant celebration with the family and crew, and his girlfriend who was the first one he talked too.
James when you see the Kurosaki team, they are full of rookies but they race like they've been racing for years on this stage.
Yes and I think what Andrew said prior to the race is true. When you look at teams like the Ferrari and Stewart-Haas teams, they don't appear to interact well off the track. But look at this team and you can see the family aspect. Ichigo and Uryuu are cousins, their dads are on the pit boxes, and their sisters/cousins work with the crew. Andrew bunks with the Kurosakis, Chad has been with the family for over a decade You don't see that type of familiarity anymore. There may be family connections with some of these teams. But you don't have family working with you in the pits. It reminds me of the first generation of drivers after World War II.
He's James Walsh, I am Greg Craven and we will be back to break down the rest of the season.
Andrew took a big gulp of his beer. "Damn straight we are a family." He said burping. He looked at Ichigo who was drinking a beer with Orihime nuzzling against his shoulder. "That picture of you two is going to be on news sites all over the world."
Ichigo shrugged. "Meh…I don't care. It just proves Orihime is mine." Ichigo said kissing her cheek and getting her to giggle. "And if those that are after us want to take her, well they aren't going to take her without a fight."
Tatsuki who had changed into some sleep ware had come in and grabbed the bottle she had on the table. "You know I am going to hold you to that, Ichigo. Orihime is our friend and more importantly the closest thing I have to a sister. I hate to see her in trouble thanks to your hotheadedness."
Ichigo flipped her off only for Orihime to slap his arm. "Mou…don't be mean Ichigo-kun."
The others laughed at his pout. It was at this point Karin came in to the room.
"Uh…Ichigo? Dad said to ask you this as you would probably be the most affected."
Ichigo smiled. "Whatever it is sis, I will be as calm as possible." Ichigo said taking a sip of his beer.
Karin sighed. "I'm going on a date."
This had several reactions. Ichigo did a spit take, Andrew choked on his drink Tatsuki slapped his back and Chad hit the cue ball hard enough to be sent into Uryuu who groaned in pain.
Ichigo looked at his sister with a stern eye. "Who is this boy, I am going to have words with him about dating my sister."
Karin groaned. "I knew you guys would react like this. For your information its Toshiro Hitsugaya."
Tatsuki raised an eyebrow. "The short white haired guy who is with Ikkaku's team as a crew chief?
I thought he was seeing either that buxom blond from Renji's team or that mousey girl from Kira's team?"
"Rangiku and Momo? No. Momo is supposedly like a sister and Rangiku…something apparently up with her because he turned down his advances. Though she like to tease us a lot." Karin said a little sheepishly. "Anyway we are going to meet in Andrew's hometown. Do you know any good place to go to?"
Andrew nodded. "Yeah there's a nice little town about twenty minutes from the house. I'll show you tomorrow."
Karin nodded and walked off. Andrew looked at Ichigo who had just recovered.
"I just heard the craziest thing. Karin is going on a date with that white haired guy from Kuchiki."
He looked around as the others suddenly found their drinks more interesting.
Ichigo cursed and was about to storm off after Karin until Orihime held him down. "Ichigo, Karin is a big girl and so is Yuzu. Let them be teenagers for once." Orihime said with a pout.
Ichigo groaned and sat back down. Andrew sighed. "Face it, your sisters are growing up."
Ichigo sighed. "Is there a movie on I'm going to get another beer." Ichigo said getting up from the couch.
Andrew chuckled and started flipping through the channels.
A couple of hours later after Yuzu's dinner Ichigo was on his stomach as Orihime massaged him. He had been feeling stiff after being tense all week and Orihime offered her services as a masseuse.
"Oh…damn that's the spot." Ichigo said sighing. Orihime blushed but smiled at the reaction she was getting from the man beneath her. She felt around his back relishing in the strong muscles in his back. She found another knot and massaged it.
"How did you get so good Hime?" Ichigo said as she sat up.
"Tatsuki was often sore after Karate. I did it to her and I guess with my hands it worked." Orihime said. Ichigo rolled around and was now on his back. He chuckled at her expression as Orihime realized she was now straddling him and he was only in his shorts.
"If you want Hime, I can see if I can get any knots of your back." Ichigo offered.
Orihime blushed and their positions were reversed. Orihime was slightly elevated because of her chest. The poor girl was blushing as Ichigo's hand roamed her topless form.
"You've got great skin you know." Ichigo said tenderly. Orihime could feel her face heating up tremendously as Ichigo roamed his hands on her back. He finished and then carefully himself back taking the girl with her. He handed her the shirt she was wearing, to which she returned a grateful smile and they stayed in each other's arms for the rest of the night.
Next day June 20th Back in Franklin's Woods
After the drive the drivers and the reporters found themselves back in Andrew's home. With the off days, Andrew took advantage of his favorite past time; Playing Video Games.
"Another one bites the dust." Andrew said as he finished another match with the fighting game Super Smash Brothers. (I so want this for either system)
"Man what a way to relax. I'll switch over to Realm Quest for now." Andrew said to himself switching the games out.
As he walked through common areas alone as his guild members were busy he was looking for a harder quest as the game had just expanded.
He looked up at a particular character seeing a guy that looked like an elf warrior. His gamer tag read NintendoCapriSun.
"Wait a minute." Andrew mumbled. He activated the chat feature. "Tim is that you?"
"Hm…Andrew? Holy Crap. It is you how have you been man?" Said a country voice.
"Oh you know traveling and racing and all that. Where's Jon and Emile?"
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" A loud voice said getting the attention of several players. This was said by a blue mage with a red cape with the tag ProtonJon. He was beating up a male knight with his shield with the tag Chuggaconroy.
"Oh boy. Emile did something stupid…again. Probably a pun." Tim said as they walked over.
"What happened Jon?"
The knight groaned. "This guy." He slapped the wizard on the head. "Decided to get an S-class mission all willy nilly without talking to me. And then he pulled off some sort of pun involving where we are going."
"Jon you've known me for years. You should expect something like that on the RunawayGuys." Said Emile.
"Sadly you are right. Just…ugh come on let's see if we can get some help." Jon moaned.
"Hi Andrew." Emile said without much fanfare.
"Hi Andrew. So I was thinking we go to the Black Blades…" Jon did a double take. "Wait Andrew? Is that you? Holy crap."
"I know same reaction I had." Tim said.
Andrew was busting out laughing. "I take we are live on a recording?"
"Yep. We are in Jon's hometown and we are preparing for ConBravo in Ontario this weekend." Emile said. "He's currently explaining to our viewers the importance of meeting you."
Andrew shook his head. "You and your let's plays. So you doing Thrown Controllers again?"
"Yep. We rehearsed and everything. You coming out?" Emile said happily.
Andrew winced. "Uh…no unfortunately unless I can talk to my team Owner about at taking a private jet. We are in Canada go figure, but in Montreal."
"Oh right, you are traveling for the Grand Prix. Damn I forgot. For what it's worth it's on Saturday, about 2ish. We sent you some passes for you and your friends."
Andrew sighed. "Trust me I would be out supporting you guys if I could get away. Anyway you need an S-class warrior right? At the moment I'm freelance.
"Alright let's go. Move Faster Pokey!" Emile said only to be hit in real life and in the game.
"SHUT UP!" Jon growled.
Andrew looked at Tim. "They always do this?"
"Yep." Said the older man.
Andrew sighed and proceeded with their quest. As he played he watched as the three seemingly incompatible players were really good at what they did. In a way, they reminded him of his team. Ichigo was definitely the hot head like Emile, Chad was the gentle giant like Tim, and Uryuu was the calm but easily riled up guy like Jon.
When the quest ended, the three had enough footage for several videos. They made plans for another recording session in the month long break in August. Thanking him for their time, Andrew logged off and headed out.
Souske plane, White Plains Airport: Tuesday June 21st
Souske was contemplating his position at the moment. His company was doing well enough finically at least in the public eye and was in the process of buying out Shell in Belgium and hoped to have the company by the time they got to the Grand Prix there. In reality he was starting to get a little worried that his illusion to the world was going to be found out before his master plan could be unleashed. Fuel was the key to anything in this world. Whether it was to power their homes, the cars or the factories that made everything, they needed energy. Oil before the 2030's was king, now it was hydrogen. To control the whole process, from siphoning the water, to shipping to a distillery, to refining the product, to distribution, was to control the world as a whole. When he was just starting out in the business world in 2045, he was twenty-three years old with only a hundred thousand yen to his name. In five years he went from that amount to being considered one of the most successful men in the world.
What most people didn't realize was that Souske Limited was in effect a war profiteer. The company was founded as a contractor for weapons and also private military i.e mercenaries. In less than ten years he had put billions of dollars, worth of weapons in the various wars and skirmishes that kept breaking out as ecological health of the earth came into question. In effect he had bought control of eight countries around the world as the current governments were in power thanks to his money. He had also created a network similar to a yakuza and had multiple underworld gangs and families and even cops under his payroll.
When the Arabic War broke out, he had a realization. Why let all these countries fight for the rights to make the energy. If a single company could control the whole process then in effect they would have to listen to him. The first step in this process was to buy out all the infrastructure that was abandoned with the oil bust. Using the funds he had 'acquired' he started to buy out the infrastructure and the companies that had supplied the only and converted them to hydrogen production.
With all of that in place taking over the entire energy market seemed to be an easy task. But what he didn't realize was that other companies would willingly enter this market. The Kurosaki-Ishida Enterprises conglomerate along with Kuchiki Industries also put their hats into the ring. But rather than outright buying the companies, they invested money into them and kept them afloat. Those that failed were allowed to be absorbed into other companies as they did not want the employees to suffer. Souske scoffed. Who cares as long as the profits come in his mind?
In order to get his long term goals, the two companies needed to be removed from the equation. He found an easy way to this thanks to ever popular Grand Prix. With both companies heavily invested in the race teams, they could be brought down if their teams are seen in a horrible light. He thought that death of Kaien Shiba would do that for the Kuchiki team but they persevered and had become a thorn in his side. When the Kurosaki Team got promoted he thought he could intimidate them into complying. But the drivers, especially the damn son of the buffoon Isshin and that American driver that replaced Jushiro has been the talk of the entire season not him. And his drivers, supposedly the best drivers in the world were not doing the job he hired them for and were making bleed money in resources, payroll and monetary damages killing his profits.
Speaking of profits that was his source of frustration. For all of those who thought his net worth was near the trillions in all the major currencies, his company was in fact tanking. Taking a page from the Enron energy company they kept manipulating the books to make sure they were seen in black when in fact it was in the red. In order to keep this secret, he had murdered and blackmailed hundreds to get where he was. Now he had to borrow against his company as his company suffered from the recession the world had suffered since about seven years ago (Notice a trend with the years?)
Now he was looking for a way to shore up his company. Many of his energy companies were bleeding money. In his efforts to undermine his competitors he had created massive debt in all his subsidiaries. In addition the two cars that he had been touting as a competitor to the BMW M Class, the Honda Tensa and the Nissan Altima, the Mazda Suigetsu had hit a snag. Its touted blending in technology was not holding up well and was forced to put off deployment till next year and Mazda was breathing down his neck. All of these disasters and then the U.S and Japan have started looking at him for tax evasion which made him furious
Aizen turned to the crew chiefs and the drivers. "This team is supposed to be the best in the world. Why is it that you keep losing to these whelps that call themselves drivers at Kurosaki?" He said slamming the table.
Gin raised his hand. "They could be good realistically and we could be having an off year. I mean Rousch was third at this point last year and look at them they are on the verge of dropping out."
Aizen looked at the silver haired man. "We aren't talking about some country bumpkins we are talking about. We are talking about four drivers with our most hated enemies."
"Why exactly do we care about some rookies?" Sung-sung said with a bored tone.
"I care because they are not supposed to be this good and better than this team." Aizen replied. He calmed down.
"Anyway we can target them?" Tier said while thinking in her head. 'Have to keep our cover.'
Ulquiorra raised his hand. "Perhaps we can target them indirectly."
Aizen raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
Ulquiorra raised his hand like Gendo Ikari. "We know they are family oriented group. Perhaps we can target their loved ones. In particular, Kurosaki and Michaels." He said.
Aizen hummed. "Ah yes. This Orihime Inoue and Tatsuki Arisawa. Reporters for National Geographic much like our devoted fan girls Loly and Menoly. Perhaps we can use them to our advantage in one of these races. For now make sure to keep targeting the Kuchiki and the Kurosaki drivers in the races. We cannot afford them to be any further out front otherwise we will not be able to win the team title or the individual title. Ulquiorra is the closest to the top but he is 75 points behind Kurosaki and 17 to Gordon. Its embarrassing we are this far down this late in the season.
Grimmjow grinned. "Isn't this when we start turning it around anyway? I mean our opposition seemingly starts cracking under the pressure and we start doing better." He said chuckling.
Aizen chuckled. "Yes this is exactly when we start coming back. This is Montreal. The track of misfortune. It is time for the Kurosaki team to experience this as well."
The meeting broke up and Aizen walked to his office. Gin was walking alongside him. "I know that luck plays a part in every race but what makes you so sure that they will run into bad luck. It feels like they are running with a four leaf clover in their racing shoes."
Aizen smirked. "Not all luck is chance Gin. Sometimes you have to make your own luck." Aizen said getting the fox man to frown. Knowing the man next to him, Montreal was not going to be a pretty sight for the Kurosaki or the Kuchiki team.
Montreal, Quebec Canada June 24th
After a couple of days of rest the Kurosaki team loaded up and headed to the capital city of Canada's French Speaking province. When they drove to track they were surprised at its location. It was on an island that doubled as a park and in fact the day before there were people riding their bikes on it. Now it was the Grand Prix's turn to use the roads and in practice many of the drivers were being messed up by the wind in practice. Several cars went off the track and there some concerns that many would be forced to go to their back-ups.
Qualifying was much like practice and some of the drivers fears were realized as the first qualifying session was marred by a wreck Ralph Hamilton. Uryu was coming in from the second qualifying session and he looked annoyed.
"The wind is pretty intense especially coming through the third switch back. Be careful."
Andrew who was in the third session acknowledged and strapped in and drove out onto the track. As he came around he definitely could feel the wind as he struggled to maintain control of the car. As he began his trial he already saw one car spin off the track and was careful to avoid it but it killed his time. As the session continued he could not stay on course and his time suffered for it.
When he got out of the car he groaned. "Not the best session for us Kisuke." He said heading back to the plane. Ichigo and Chad did not fare any better and for the first time all season none of them were in the top ten.

Saturday June 25th Hamilton Ontario Canada About 10:30, Convention Center (One of many scenes I've been wanting to do.)
Andrew was grinning like a loon as he looked at their current location. After qualifying he had gone to Isshin and asked if he, Ichigo and the girls could take a private jet out to this convention. He had some apprehension about asking him but it was a moot point as Isshin laughed and sent them on their way. When they got there at about 9:30 in the morning they immediately went to the costume shop and bought some costumes to A. Blend in B. Keep people from knowing who they were.
He looked at his friends. Ichigo was in a black trench coat with hakama pants and a black cape with red on the inside. (His Bankai) Tatsuki was in a black long dress with high heels and fingerless gloves and her hair was straightened out. (Tifa Lockheart's dress in Advent Children) Orihime was in a white outfit with black stripes that covered most of her body but showed her figure. (Her Arrancar outfit). Andrew was dressed in blue pants a white T-shirt, a black and yellow vest and a red had with a blue ball on it. (Ash's Sinnoh outfit from Pokémon)
"We are going have a lot of fun. How do you guys feel?" Andrew asked
Tatsuki looked at her outfit. "I'm surprised I could pull this off." She said motioning her dress.
"Well I wanted to be matched with one of my characters traveling companions but unfortunately two of them, Dawn and May are girly girls and the third one, Misty, well I don't think we would want three red heads. But Tifa uses her fists to fight and quite honestly you pull this off." He said posting something on Facebook.
Orihime looked at her outfit. "This looks so cool but does it have to be so form fitting?"
Ichigo chuckled. "It makes you look cute Hime. But those perverts better keep their eyes to themselves. Otherwise I will be as protective as the guy I am playing as."
Andrew chuckled. "Well it will help with the disguise. One of this show's big pairings in the fandom are these two together. In fact both of you share their names same with Tatsuki though she isn't as popular for some reason. Anyway let's go explore. We got four hours plus lunch before this panel." Andrew said as he led the three into the convention.
(Play Pinball Wizard by the Who.)
As they walked through the convention several people came up to them and asked to take pictures especially the two red heads. Orihime blushed when they asked her and Ichigo to pose together like the show pair, with Ichigo holding Orihime in a protective embrace.
After the photo ops, the group walked around and this time Tatsuki was pulled aside by a Final Fantasy group because of her looking like Tifa. She looked surprised and panicked as they took her away. It took a good part of twenty minutes to drag her away but they were all laughing by the end of it.
They then found themselves at another panel this time for card games. Andrew borrowed a deck for a popular trading card game. Using the deck he somehow won a game stunning some of the onlookers. He tipped his hat and disappeared into the crowd before someone could recognize him.
They walked around some more taking pictures and posting them on their social media accounts. They even stopped by some game booths to play a couple of the games set up. It was funny to see Orihime beat a couple of guys showing that the time they had been playing on Andrew's system was not completely wasted.
As they were walking Andrew happened to look behind him. Ichigo had several Manga in both English and Japanese in a bag, Orihime was talking while hold a bag of her and Tatsuki's merchandise while Tatsuki was texting and blogging. He smiled. It was hard to believe in his mind that they had been together as a group for five months they looked like they been together for years. He smiled as they headed towards lunch.
(End the song)
An hour later they were lined up to go into an event hall. Andrew had been texting to someone and waited patiently. The sign outside the door they were waiting on said. "The Runaway Guys present Thrown Controllers. 2:00 PM. Meet and Greet at 3:30.
Soon enough everyone in the line was let in. Ichigo and Andrew were given cards with numbers on them and the group found their seats. At the designated time a curly haired man with glasses started speaking.
"Okay I guess everyone is here. Welcome to the Runaway Guys Thrown Controllers at Conbravo 2070. I am Johnathon Wheeler, Aka ProtonJonSA. I am your MC this afternoon. Joining me as always are my two co-hosts."
A Hispanic looking guy with a polo shirt to John's right waved. "Hey everybody its Chuggaconroy." The crowd cheered as Jon pointed to his left to a middle-aged man.
"What's up guys its NintendoCapriSun."
Tatsuki looked at her boyfriend. "I didn't think older generations would be into video games."
"Takes all kinds honey." Andrew said smiling as Jon explained the rules. Essentially there would be a chance to be chosen via cards given out like Ichigo and Andrew's card. On the screen there were ten panels which led to questions ranging in difficulty, challenges against the game the audience or the panelists and other questions related to gaming. (Look up a video of their panel basically the same thing.) The best player won a grand prize.
One by one the panelists called up attendees. The first couple fell to a solo challenge involving a platformer and a brutal question about the creation of the game ratings board. The next one got at least two points before losing on a multiplayer challenge.
"Alright next number is 291." Chugga called out.
Andrew looked at his card and smirked. "Alright I'm up." Andrew said as he walked to the aisle. Two people were in front of him. The first failed on panel two which was another brutal question. The next one a girl failed on a video game challenge. Andrew stepped up the mike and Chugga saw his face and grinned.
"Hey look its Ash Ketchum. I am shocked Pikachu is not here." The entire audience groaned even NCS and Jon face palmed.
"There will be a lynching for Chuggaconroy after this." Jon growled.
"Do you mind if I help?" Andrew said grinning.
"No but thanks. What's your name…though I think I have an idea who you are." Jon said smiling.
"I bet. It's Andrew. Better known as GarnetOsprey91 online. Offline, does the name Andrew Michaels ring a bell."
The whole panel grinned and the audience broke out into cheers and excited murmuring.
"Yes everyone. Gaming's favorite race car driver Andrew Michaels has decided to come to Conbravo." Emile yelled as Jon calmed the audience down.
"Okay Mr. Bigshot pick a number." Jon said.
Andrew looked at the board. "I'm number two in the standings let's go with that."
"Alright two is…Audio question." Out of respect the audience quieted down. "I will play a clip you need to id the game." Jon said playing the song. The first notes played and in Andrew's ears it sounded like the song dancing queen. Only one game had that.
"Xenoblade Chronicles." (The song mentioned is for the Bionis leg)
"That is Correct!" Jon said as a victory fanfare played. Andrew kept playing as he selected two more panels. The first was an easy question centered around Mario's colors while the second was a solo challenge that was a dogfight game which Andrew's eyes lit up when it was announced and proceeded to beat the score needed.
"Alright now next panel please?" Andrew looked up. 2, 5 and 10 were gone. "I know this number is unlucky. Four please."
"Four is…Bad choice." Jon deadpanned.
"If you knew it was unlucky why did you pick it!?" Chugga yelled.
Jon ignored him and proceeded with the question. "Argus games demoed the Nerve Gear device at the Tokyo Game Show and he had four guest try it out. Who were these four people they asked to test it?" Jon asked.
Andrew grinned and looked at the audience for Ichigo. Chugga saw that look. "Uh Jon…I think he might know this."
Jon thought back to when he developed the question and paled. "I just realized he does too."
Andrew looked at the three. "Do I have to say the names?"
"Yes." Jon dropped his head.
"Okay. So the four people were, Asuna Yuuki, Kazuto Kirigaya, Ichigo Kurosaki and Andrew Michaels."
Jon facepalmed. "You would know if you were at the event you son of a gun." Jon said as he activated the victory fanfare getting the crowd to laugh.
Andrew looked at the panel and chose another number which was 7. This time it was a TRG challenge.
"A TRG challenge. Okay that means he has to face one of us in a one on one challenge. So choose wisely, me, Chuggaconroy or NCS."
Andrew grinned and pointed at Chugga. "Let's go Chugga."
Chugga grinned as they set up the game as Jon read off the challenge. "So for Chugga's challenge it is…" the screen showed the challenge. "Beat Chugga in a game of Domination in Mario Party 4."
Andrew groaned. "If there's one thing I hate its button mashing." He said climbing the stage. Shaking Emile's hand and Jon talked about their channel.
"Shameless advertising for channel Jon?" Andrew said as the game started up.
"Never hurts. Stick around and somehow you will be advertising the Grand Prix." Jon responded.
"Already am. You think I'm the only one here." Andrew said.
"I must say your disguises must have been spot on if you could hide in a crowd like this." He said as he choose his character Donkey Kong.
"Well, considering my cover is already blown I may as well tell ya. Tatsuki is a dead ringer for Tifa and it is scary that Ichigo and Orihime look their characters on the show. Guys why don't ya stand up. We are already going to be swarmed."
The crowd cheered as the three stood up.
"Alright calm down we need to get going. So Emile is DK, Andrew is Luigi. All that matters is Andrew beats Emile. If the computer wins we get to laugh at their plight."
The game started up. "Ten seconds on the clock. GO!" Emile and Andrew started pounding the buttons for the allotted time and when it ran out the game started counted them off. After about ninety or so statues, Andrew fell before Emile giving him the win."
Andrew sighed. "Damn that is murder on your thumbs. Great job." He said to Emile.
"And now Andrew is in the running for the grand prize." Jon said before Andrew held up his hand. "I believe it's unfair for me to win this. So if no one beats my score the next two highest get the prizes. If only one person beats it then the next person gets the second prize.
The entire crowd cheered and even Jon had to laugh and clap. "How about that? A celebrity who is generous to his fans. Thank you so much Andrew."
Andrew chuckled. "I came to see you guys. I made a promise and I kept it. Wasn't here for the reward." Andrew said out of sound of the mic as Tim called another number.
A half an hour later the event ended as no one managed to beat Andrew's score. He autographed several of the prizes and even took a few photos before they managed to separate from the crowds.
"Whoa…never thought I could be that popular with these people." Andrew said as their group and the Runaway Guys got to a quiet area.
"Yeah not many people seem to take gaming seriously. Once people see that people like you play it maybe that community can expand." Jon said.
"Until then you are always going to be our favorite driver." Emile said in his normal tone.
Jon looked at Andrew. "Thanks for coming out. It meant a lot to us." Jon said seriously.
Andrew waved it off. "No problem. Well we have to get going. It's an hour from here to Montreal by plane. So best we get going. Thanks guys hope to see you online and in your vids." Andrew said.
"It was nice to meet you all." Orihime bowed while Tatsuki shook their hands followed by Ichigo and they walked out of the convention hall.
Tim chuckled. "They are great people. Especially Orihime. She's so nice and pretty."
Jon sighed. "If only we could find people like that."
Emile looked at his longtime brother in arms. "You know we could try Lucha, Masane and Jennifer."
Jon looked at Emile and had to smile. "Yeah we could. Loser of the Fortune Street has to ask their crush out on a date first chance they get." He said with the other two gawking and then returning the smiles.
"YOUR ON!" Tim and Emile responded and went back to their room to record for the next video on their channel.
An hour later, the group of four changed back into their street clothes and were flying back to Montreal.
Tatsuki looked at Andrew who was playing on his game system. "Was there any reason why we came out to see them? I mean we only stayed for a few hours and are flying back.
Andrew looked out the window. "It's because we are friends that I did that. Before the Grand Prix, I was a gamer first. I went to a couple of their conventions in the past and use a couple of connections to meet with them. They are really nice people and when I told them I was a racer they didn't really care. To them I was the coolest athlete because I was not holding myself on a pedestal. I've recording a couple of games with them and I talked during my time online this week about inviting them to my place to record another set during the break after Hungary."
He looked at Tatsuki and then at Ichigo. "If there is one thing that my father drilled into my head is this; the business world is all about connections. The gaming community is exceptionally tight nit especially those that do commentary. My inroad was the fact that I had established myself as a premier gamer on some of the games and I was invited to one of the conventions to demo a racing game. I met players, developers and publishers. I've tried to keep in touch and those that know me know how hard that is.
Andrew sighed. "This is where my father and your father differ business wise Ichigo. Your father doesn't make the time to visit many of his clients. My father does. It's because of those personal connections we are where we are. Tatsuki and Orihime got this gig because of her parent's relationships with the NGC higher-ups." Andrew leaned back and wrapped an arm around Tatsuki's shoulders. Considering it was a private plane they were able to get closer without the arm rest
Ichigo looked out the window. "I guess…your right." Orihime watched her boyfriend thinking and wrapped her arms around him. "I can always rely on dad's connections forever. I mean I know some people outside of racing but…how can you keep up with all the traveling and everything.
Andrew raised his glass. "Modern technology and commitment. That's our way to keep in touch." He took a sip of his drink. "You know before I met you and my gamer friends I didn't have a lot if any friends. Gaming was my escape. I don't know what I would have done. My imagination kept me sane and alive." He leaned in and kissed Tatsuki. "Its…not a pretty sight to go down that road."
Ichigo and Orihime said nothing and Tatsuki squeezed close to Andrew as the plane descended into Montreal.
Next day Sunday June 26th
Ichigo yawned and looked out the window to see the sun rising. He stretched out and then looked down at the sleeping princess on his chest. Her long auburn tresses framed her innocent looking face. She was dressed in one of his shirts and a pair of panties though the length of the shirt obscured them. He gently lifted her head and rolled her onto her back and kissed her. This seemed to wake her up as she moaned awake. Opening her eyes she smiled.
"Morning." She whispered. Her happy blush at seeing Ichigo caused him to smile.
"Morning Hime." Ichigo whispered. He had to chuckle at her position. If he was a gentleman he would be ravishing her till she couldn't walk. But for now he was content watching her in her submissive pose with her hair forming a perfect halo around her head and her arms in no position to push him off and the bottom of his vision being blocked by her breasts whose shape was perfectly outlined though it looked a little strained.
"What time is it?" Orihime asked.
Ichigo looked at the clock. "About 6:30. Race isn't till 2:00." Ichigo said.
"Good. Now I believe you were in the middle of something." Orihime said innocently.
Ichigo choked but then laughed. "You asked for it Hime." Ichigo said as they made out for the next hour. It was a good thing Orihime's suit had a collar because she would feel those bite marks
Same time
Andrew groaned awake and looked at the clock on his phone. It read 6:45 Eastern time. He sighed and then looked at his hand. He waved it around in exaggerated motion and then held it up to the fan.
A small giggle and then a familiar hand grasped it. Andrew looked at Tatsuki who was covered by the sheet but he knew she was wearing her bra and panties under it.
"You look like a little kid waving your arm like you want a toy."
Andrew grinned and pulled her up to his chest. "Well I just like to make sure I am alive."
Tatsuki grinned and then rolled up to straddle him. Andrew returned the grin. "Six months ago I wouldn't let you do this."
Tatsuki laughed and looked at Andrew. "It's fine. You look cute without the specs." Tatsuki said getting Andrew to smile. He gently move his hands to her back still unsure of how to touch her without upsetting her. Tatsuki shook her head. "I am not going to snap at you for touching me inappropriately." Tatsuki leaned down. "We have probably three hours till we have to get ready. Think you can keep me entertained."
Andrew chuckled as she got closer. "You are like a drug…and I am an addict and I can't get enough of you."
Tatsuki silenced him and they proceeded to gently make out.
(As the above two lines fade out start playing Million Miles an Hour by Nickelback. I've listened to it and I know it's about drugs…but adrenaline can be a drug. Like adrenaline junkies.)
Andrew finished getting on his suit and turned to his girlfriend. He kissed her and then headed out.
Ichigo was zipping up his suit while Orihime was holding his gloves. Taking them he lightly kissed her walked out with Orihime falling in step.
Chad was walking towards his car when he walked by the infield care center. He glanced and saw his girlfriend Isane stepping out. The silver haired woman blushed but smiled at his appearance.
Uryuu was in the garage watching as the final touches to his car. He caught the eye of Nemu who was talking with her father. The moment their eyes met the girl's eyes looked away with a blush.
In garages the teams were moving the cars onto the grid. The Souske crew was paying attention to the Kurosaki and Kuchiki camps. Syzael had this calculating look to his face while looking at all of the equipment.
The flags were whipping around indicating the wind was blowing hard. Despite this, the breeze kept the race cool for the fans but a mess for the competitors.
On pit road the crews were setting up and checking and double checking their equipment and marking the tires. In all the hubbub minor things get lost in shuffle like a jammed air or a tire that is entirely inflated.
In the T.V booths, the various crews were preparing for the race. Having gone over their production notes they were talking about plans after next week's race and were overall in a good natured mood. Though in some minds there was a certain uneasiness in the air.
The driver's meeting went off without a hitch though there seemed to be some tension in the room especially with the Japanese teams. Yamamoto leveled the group with a glare and dismissed them to finish preparations.
(End previous song, begin Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams and the Fox Opening Montage)
Summer time is the time for fun and time for great expectations for the coming season. Whether it be going on an adventure. (Scenes from previous races are shown), having a blast at the beach, (Pictures of the ocean are shown) or finding the one person that has your heart. (Ichigo and Orihime shown kissing from last week) Summer is all about breaking free.
One year ago, the Summer of 2069 to precise, the Kurosaki-Ishidas were scattered but they were dominating their respective circuits. (Ichigo, Uryu and Chad were shown in one of the GP2 races. Andrew winning at one of the NASCAR A Division tracks) Now as GP1 drivers they have made the Grand Prix their playground. Six races won, (Ichigo's win at Watkins Glen, Andrew's win at Korea and Uryu's win at Road America are shown) three drivers in the top 5(Images of the three drivers are shown) and a significant lead in the team points, they've made it a mission to prove they are the best in the business.
But this is Montreal. One of the most unpredictable tracks from its corners to its weather. You have to be pretty lucky to survive here. (Wrecks at various corners are shown.) But who knows in the first official race of the summer, it could lead to the best days of their lives.
(The Guitar riff plays as the track fades in.) Welcome to Montreal.
(Fox opening plays as the camera shifts to real time and a shot of the city is shown)
Jeremy: A blustery day hear in the walled city. But the drivers are ready and so are the fans.
Pans to the booth
Jeremy: Good afternoon to all those watching around the world and welcome to Montreal, Quebec Canada. It is round 15 of 25 here at the Circuit Île Gilles Villeneuve and the seventh of eight straight weeks of racing. We started in Austria and we finally end this stretch at Daytona Beach, Florida for the Fourth of July holiday. But for pretty much the entire season there has been one team that has been on everyone's mind Nate.
Nate: Yes The Kurosaki-Ishida team has won six races this year and has occupied the first place spot in the team standings from the get-go and save for Malaysia and Korea, they've been atop the driver's standings with the team combined spending only one race of being outside the top five in driver's points. (Points standings are shown) There had been talks in the garage that this team is the second coming of the Ryujin team that the head of the Grand Prix, Genryusai Yammamato and our colleague Jushiro Ukitake were a part of that won six individual and seven team titles.
Jeremy: An apt comparison but let's leave the future for the future let's recap what happened last week.
(Montague of the race begins) Nate: From the early going it looked like it was going to be Hendrick's Robert Johnson race.
Jeremy: But as pit stops occurred, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez took over until lap 52 when a massive wreck took out ten cars and nearly took out another car. (Replay of Ichigo's escape and near wreck are shown) Somehow Ichigo Kurosaki in the 15 avoids the wreck. The race was halted as the track was cleaned up and repaired while the drivers got a break and some like Ichigo decided to take a nap.
Nate: (Chuckles) he might have fallen asleep during the break, but it seems to have unleashed a beast as when the red flag was removed he became a man on a mission. One car after another fell to him and when he took the lead on lap 85 and completely checked out. When the checkered flag flew it was an emotional victory as Ichigo and his entire family was in tears. And what way to end it with a kiss with his girlfriend.
Jeremy: A beautiful way to end it. Now then let's head to our winner from last week who is with our reporter Jermaine Ferguson.
Jermaine: Thanks Jeremy. I'm here with our winner and point's leader alongside his lovely girlfriend. First off last week had to be full of emotions, it was the anniversary of your mother's passing and you nearly got into that terrible wreck. How do you feel this week?"
Ichigo: Like the luckiest guy in the world. I am leading as a rookie in the world's toughest racing division. I have two wins, two more than I was expecting at this point in the season and I have the most beautiful girl as my girlfriend. I have been feeling great all week.
Jermaine: (Chuckles) I can see that. Now then you are at a track where history says the point's leader doesn't make it to the end and coupled with the fact that this type of race track is not considered your forte. What do you think will happen?
Ichigo: Who knows? I just race. But I will say I think I will make it to the end but like you said anything can and will happen at this race. Just hope we can overcome anything thrown at us.
Jermaine: He starts 18th. Now let's head to his teammate is starting in the row behind him who is with our colleague Kiyone.
Kiyone: Thanks Jermaine. Now Andrew you are currently second in points but have been a little less consistent than your teammate, having three DNF's to his two but you have made up for it better finishes than most of your competitors. Tell me with ten rounds left do you think you can overcome your teammate?
Andrew: I am not going to say anything that will antagonize my teammates so please go off that questioning. Ichigo has been a better driver to this point and I'm fine with that. I came into this season with three goals in mind. Win a race, stay in contention after Daytona and help my team win the team title. I accomplished the first one, I am going to be in contention after Daytona though my position could change and my team is in a great place points wise. So why not try for the title this year. (Grins)
Kiyone: Love the confidence. He starts 20th back to you sempai.
An hour later after all the ceremonies were done the drivers were strapping in to race. Orihime was watching Ichigo strap in and then gave him another kiss. Behind them Andrew and Tatsuki were doing something similar. The two girls walked back to the pits with smiles on their faces.
Up at the front of the grid Byakuya had talked to his drivers which for once were near each other. After talking with Renji he turned around and caught the eye of Aizen.
"Kuchiki."
"Souske."
The brown haired man chuckled. "You look so tense Kuchiki, you won't be able to lead with you so wound up. Of course being an expectant father can put one under undue stress."
Aizen walked away smirking at the horrified expression. He had one thought in his head. 'How did he find out?' Byakuya quickly walked over to his crew and then headed towards his plane to call Hisanna.
"NOW FOR THE MOST FAMOUS WORDS IN MOTORSPORTS. DRIVERS. START. YOUR. ENGINES!"
Thirty-six engines roared to life as the crews performed final checks and rolled out onto the grid o perform the warm-up laps.
Japan Booth
Kommamura: The crews are ready, the fans are ready and I hope you are ready for a hundred laps here at the Air Canada Canadian Grand Prix.
Jushiro: This course is fast but it is broken up by many switchbacks and that can lead to collisions or even problems with the brakes.
Kommamura: Three things to keep an eye on. The first is the laps.
Jushiro: They normally run 110 or more laps. Daytona where we will be next week will be much longer than this. But the shorter race will force people to adjust accordingly. With only about a twenty to twenty-three lap window for fuel look for some of the front runners to gamble on the last pit stop.
Kommamura: Second issue is the pit entrance. This is considered one of the hardest pit entrances to get into because the entrance is right at the spot where most people slow down to enter turn eleven. Communication is key to making sure you don't get into a wreck.
Jushiro: Final issue is the weather. Right now the wind is blowing across the pit straight. On the fast section after turn 6 this could slow down a lot of cars and those that know how to draft effectively could take advantage of it.
Kommamura: Let's see if we can get someone on the radio before they go.
Jushiro: Let's try Renji Abarai. Renji this is Jushiro Ukitake. Do you read me?"
"Loud and clear."
"This point last year, Kuchiki was right in the middle of the hunt with Hendrick and Souske, now you and the rest of the team are having trouble keeping up. Is there any reason to believe you won't still be in contention after this stretch is done?
"Absolutely. These Toyotas have been great we just haven't had the luck to back them up. Hope that changes soon. Can't let our Kurosaki pals get too far ahead of us now.
Jushiro: (Chuckled) Ah yes. Don't want that happening. Good luck.
"Thanks."
Two laps later the pace car pulled off and the field bunched up to enter the pit stretch. The front there made the last turn and then picked up speed as the green flag waved. They got up to near fifth gear before having to break immensely to enter the first two turns. This checking up stacked up the cars and cause some cars to incur minor damage but they all somehow got through it. Alexandra Edwards and Jessica Rosburg led through the first stretch as they headed toward the 3 4 chicane. Driving through 5 they slowed down for six with some of the drivers still fighting nearly got into the collisions as they sorted themselves out. They settled into their positions as they headed towards the hairpin turn. They approached the final turns without incident and Alexandra led the first lap.
Further back Andrew had taken damage but not enough to affect the handling. Ichigo had tire marks on his side and Uryuu had some fender damage.
"Geez this is like Bristol. But a lot tighter with these turns." Andrew complained.
"Fortunately it's not as wreck happy in the early going. But let's just wait it out." Kisuke said.
Five laps later, Jessica had taken the lead away from Alexandra and was now fending off Tier.
Going into the hairpin, Tier drafted the American girl. When she slowed down, Tier dropped to the inside forcing Alexandra off her line. Tier pulled away smirking all the way.
American Booth
Jeremy: And the Shark strikes again as the Souske female fatale takes the lead.
Nate: Souske is looking quite good today with all four drivers having a good qualifying run. Can they keep the momentum is the question.
Twelve laps the leaders were thinking pit stops as there were now two retirements. Shawn Newman lost control and went over the bumps at turn one and into the SAFER barrier at lap twelve. The race continued as they were able to push him behind the wall. The other retirement came from Flippe Massa who spun out and crashed into the barrier after blowing a tire.
As the leaders started coming into the pits Andrew was making his way towards the pits and signaled to the drivers behind he was coming in. He braked hard causing some smoke to appear as he slid into the pits.
'I think I was too fast entering. I knew I should have slowed down sooner.' Andrew thought in worry. He pitted and got the trackbar raised. He exited the pits and was climbing through the gears when his radio crackled.
"Driver of the 91. You are being black flagged. Too fast coming in at the entrance of pit road. You have three laps to comply next time by. It is a drive through penalty.
"Knew it, Damn it. Kisuke tell them I am coming in the lap I get the black flag."
"Roger."
Andrew growled and slammed the steering wheel.
American Booth
Jeremy: And the penalties keep coming. Andrew Michaels too fast entering the pit.
Nate: These drivers are using their brakes to slow way down. Most tracks have a designated entrance lane separate from the main circuit. This does not.
Jeremy: That makes it sort of a calamity corner as we see Andrew come through to serve his penalty as pit stops resume.
After the cycle of stops Jessica took the lead but then was starting to run into lapped traffic including one strawberry haired point's leader running in about 25th.
"What is going on with this car today? I can find any suitable grip.
"I don't think we brought a good car today. We are bringing another car for Daytona. But please calm down. Your frustration is upsetting Orihime-chan." Isshin said.
Ichigo sighed as he drove through the hairpin. "Tell her its fine. Everyone has a bad day."
"No problem. Now just try to not wreck."
Ichigo drove past the start finish line. About five seconds behind him was Jessica battling to get around Raoul Garcia. Behind her was Kira Izuru who was having a great day for himself. As he watched the battle in front of him, he was exhibiting a patience that was rarely shown because he was normally does not do well. His nickname was the Raven, a play on his gloomy demeanor and because of him being considered unlucky, of which the raven is a symbol for. When Gin left the Kuchiki team, Kira was hired to take over but he has had bad luck since the beginning of his tenure, coming into the season being ninth.
When he got around Garcia he was less than a second behind Jessica and he began drafting her coming out of turn 7. When they got to the hairpin he took the inside and basically shoved her aside.
Japan Booth
Kommamura: Great move by the often forgotten member of the Kuchiki team.
Jushiro: Seems like he has the car that this team has needed for the last few races.
Nine laps after this pass the caution came out when Ikkaku spun out and collected Bjorn Kristensen.
American Booth
Jeremy: Second round of pit stops are underway on lap forty. Jermaine is with the leaders.
Jermaine: (As the cars are coming in) Kira is saying he is having no troubles with the car. A small air change and four tires. Meanwhile Tier Harribel wants another track bar and they are going to be shuffled back as several drivers elect to take fuel only or two tires.
Nate: The tires are not wearing down as much today. So many drivers are taking two tires or no fuel. This is going to give the lead to Archie Stewart.
Two laps after the clean-up the race got back under green as Archie led them down into turn one. Getting through the chaos, he and Alexandra Edwards pulled away slightly. Two laps later the Rousch driver got around Stewart heading into turn six.
The next several laps were more the same with two lead changes with Gin leading for a few laps and then Allen Regan taking over in the transition period in the pit stops. Up and down pit road there were many issues which took some of the contenders out of contention but not out of the race. Andrew hadn't recovered from his penalty, Ichigo was still struggling, Uryuu was in the middle of the pack and Chad had been a non-factor.
About to start lap 71. Grimmjow was being passed by Uryuu on the front stretch and he growled.
"I ain't letting no Kurosaki whelp get by me." Grimmjow yelled and just as Uryuu completed the pass Grimmjow cut down and clip Uryuu. The 32 car turned hopped the curb. Not even slowing down he plowed into Maria Robertson who pin balled into Ulquiorra who was trying to pass her. They ended up into the tire barriers with heavy damage. Grimmjow who ended up in the wall before turn 1, collided with George Schumacher and nearly got Andrew, who slowed down and went around the two cars wrecking.
American Booth
Jeremy: As Tier climbs up through the gears towards the hairpin—
Nate: Trouble multiple cars involved. Oh boy that looks nasty. I see the 04 with the 32 and the 26. And off to the side looks like…
Jeremy: The 06 and the 11. It looks like separate wrecks but let's watch the replays.
(Replays start) This is Ishida and Jaegerjaquez. Ishida is trying to pass the 06 and it looks…
Nate: Like the 06 came down and clipped him. He must have misjudged the timing of the pass. The 32 got sideways and plowed into the Ulquiorra's and Maria Robertson's car. Then it looks like the 06 careens and slams into the Ferrari of Schumacher.
During the wreck
Uryuu was passing Grimmjow when he felt his car lurch and turn.
"Hang on." Uryuu called out and he felt the impact of the two cars and the barrier.
"Ow." Uryuu said as thanks to all of the safety devices he was able to avoid serious injury but like they say he would be feeling that tomorrow.
"Son are you okay?"
"I just had a big wreck. How do you think I feel?" He replied sarcastically.
"Your fine if you can comment like that." Ryuken said.
Uryuu nodded and he was helped out of his car.
Two minutes prior Andrew was following those two cars. As he got onto the straight he had a good angle of the battling drivers and watched as the two cars clipped. He got on the brakes as he nearly got hit by Grimmjow who hit Schumacher who was to his left attempting to pass while Andrew was slowing down. Once clear of the wreck and assurances that Uryuu was okay, Andrew thought back to the start of the wreck.
"Please tell me that I wasn't the only one that thought that wreck was intentional."
"We saw it too. There is not enough to be conclusive on that. This is just like at Barcelona." Kisuke said.
Andrew said nothing as they came around for the caution.
Seven laps later after the clean-up was done and everyone came down pit road, Archie assumed the lead as everyone made their final full stop. On lap 78 the green flag waved and this Archie could not pull away from either Kira or Ralph Hamilton. Ralph took the lead for three laps but Kira would not be contained for very long and as a result on lap 83, he made the pass which put him in the lead for good. He led the final 17 laps and finally got a win for the Kuchiki team which had been desperate for wins this year. Kira smiled and got praise from everyone especially his boss.
However, Byakuya and Isshin know that Souske is making his move soon and they are preparing for it. But what impact could this have on the season? Find out next time on Bleach Grand Prix.

END OF CHAPTER
UO: WHY COULD THIS NOT BE WRITTEN!? Could be fatigue. Seriously three weeks! Here's an early Christmas present hope I can get my next update before New Year's
Tracks
Circuit of Notre Dame: The home of the F1 Grand Prix of Canada since the seventies. Also hosts Nationwide races and Sports car races
Tracks mentioned.
Bristol Motor Speedway: This half-mile oval is considered to be the last great Coliseum. It's the only track at least I know of that is entirely surrounded by stands like a football stadium. Normal races would have less than 12 racers finish on the lead lap and almost all of the cars having damage.
Preview: The last race of this grueling stretch of races is at the famous Daytona International Speedway. It will test endurance, guts and the ability to race on such a unique surface. Fast times are abound on the Fourth of July weekend. Meanwhile, William makes an important discovery concerning Souske and he is hesitant on who to tell first. What is making William so nervous find out
Next time: Fireworks at Daytona
Please Review flames will not be tolerated. Next update is Journeys of the Dreamer. Also check out my pals, Lalapie203, Spartan719, Code-Emperor07, Kurogane 7, Soleneus, Soulsilverlord, Vanishing Raptor, Kage Bijuu, Giratina Zero and EvashinobiKaiserKnight. I help on a lot of their works. I have also taken on an apprentice of sorts in Kamen Rider Super-Fan.
