I don't own anything.

Sweet as Candy

Soft sunlight poured into the room through the waving curtains, and soft chirps of the bird filled up the room. Misaki slowly opened her eyes and her vision started to turn from an image of blur to something more clear...

"Huh!" Misaki jumped up and fell out the bed. "Usui!"

"Good morning." Usui was just lying beside Misaki, facing her, waiting for her to be awake.

"Why are you...oh wait..." Misaki remembered that they were on a 'business trip'. "You scared me."

"Get used to it soon." Usui chuckled. "For future preparation."

Misaki just slightly blushed. She knew exactly what Usui was hinting her about.

"What's the time?" Misaki asked.

"Five minutes past 10." Usui replied. "Ready for some brunch?"

Grrrrllll... A loud stomach growl echoed in the hotel room.

"I guess that's a yes?" Usui raised one of his eyebrows with a quirky smirk.

"... food." Misaki looked to the side, avoiding Usui's eyes, then she blushed.

In expectations, this type of behavior slightly matches Usui's taste. His face slowly lit up with a tint of pink. He got off the bed, and bent down in front of Misaki. Their eyes met each other.

"What are you looking at?" Misaki asked as she moved backwards, a little bit away from Usui.

"I don't know how long I can endure." Usui sighed.

"W-What do you mean?" Misaki was really confused.

"Nothing." Usui leaned forward and gave Misaki a soft peck on her lips. "Ready to start your first day in England?"

...

After Misaki and Usui brushed their teeth and changed their clothes, they went out of the hotel. Since they woke up this late, there weren't any breakfast available at the hotel anymore. They just went to a small cafe that provides brunch near the hotel.

"So what will you like?" Usui asked for the third time.

"I..." Misaki couldn't decide at all; all the brunch looked so delicious to her. "hmmm..."

Usui just simply smiled and chuckled, he excused the waitress first, since he knows that Misaki won't be able to come up with a decision immediately. Interestingly, Misaki reminded Usui the times when he was a child. He used to take a long time in deciding what to eat for brunch. It doesn't happen to any other food, only brunch.

"I'll take..." Misaki moved her fingers toward the menu.

"Egg Benedict." Usui and Misaki said at the same time, and their fingers on the same area on the menu.

"...How do you know what I want..." Misaki stared at Usui with suspecting eyes.

"That's what I always ordered when I was a child." Usui sat back.

"Are you trying to say that my taste is like a child?" Misaki frowned.

"Nope, just realizing how alike we are." Usui leaned forward and poked a finger to release Misaki's frown. "Don't frown."

"OK..." Misaki rubbed her forehead as Usui called the waitress here.

"I would like..." Usui started to order the food, while Misaki just sat there staring at Usui.

Misaki has always knew that Usui is a very attractive individual; since the very first day, Misaki knew that. However Misaki has never experienced the feeling of someone staring at her own boyfriend with burning eyes of passion. The waitress and the other women from the other tables were all staring at Usui. He was looking down at the menu, which caused his long eyelashes slightly covering up his emerald colored eyes.

"...!" That didn't make Misaki happy at all, however she couldn't tell Usui. She knew that if she told Usui this, this jealousy issue event will follow her for the rest of her life.

"Misaki." Usui called out.

"Yes?" Misaki sat up straight.

"What would you like for you drink?" Usui asked.

"Water will be fine." Misaki answered.

"Water for the lady." Usui said to the waitress.

"Understood." The waitress took down the note, and she took a very small glance at Usui again.

"Thank you." Usui excused the waitress.

The waitress just silently nodded with a tint of blush and walked away.

"!..." Misaki may not have realized, but her cheeks were puffing up.

"Pfft..." Usui realized what was bothering Misaki. Overall, Usui is not such an unconscious guy. He that he does not look plain, and he knows that some girls show interest to him. Obviously, he understood that Misaki was slightly bothered by the fact that other girls were looking at him. "Misaki, come closer."

"Yes?" Misaki leaned forward.

Usui took his hand and grabbed Misaki's head towards his, and gave Misaki a surprise kiss. From a distance, Misaki heard a cup of whatever it was fell on the floor and a lot of gasp. After a few seconds, Usui pulled away.

"Just wanted to make you feel secure." Usui stuck his tongue out and did a playful smile.

"Baka Usui!" Misaki officially exploded.

...

"Misaki~ oiii~" Usui called out to the angry girl who was walking with sonic speed in front of him.

Misaki didn't reply, she just continued walking. What she was practically mad about was the fact that Usui did those actions in the cafe. Overall, everyone was watching them. Though it wasn't the first time Usui kissed her in public, but this time it's different because Usui was right under the spotlight of all the eyes in the cafe.

"Misaki~" Usui called out. "Are you sure where you are going."

With a sudden realization, Misaki stopped. There was no way Misaki knew where she was going; anger has caused her to forgot that she was in England.

"I still don't want to talk to you!" Misaki turned around and shouted at Usui.

"I apologize." Usui had both of his hands in his pocket, and he just simply smiled at Misaki. Teasing Misaki had already became a daily basis for Usui, and he pretty much mastered the art of teasing Misaki.

"...No!" Angrily, Misaki turned her head around. Usually, Usui's smile always solves the problem, but this time Misaki was really at the peak of her anger.

For a moment, Misaki couldn't hear any reply. She stood there with her back facing Usui, and for some reasons she couldn't feel Usui's presence anymore. Rapidly, she turned her head around. A pair of golden colored eyes started to search. Without hesitation, Misaki ran into the crowd, searching for Usui.

"Baka Usui..." Misaki murmured as she felt her eyes turning warm. The whole idea of Usui abandoning her just frightens her too much. However, no matter how hard her eyes search, there was just no sign of Usui.

In the middle of the crowd, Misaki squatted down onto the floor. She didn't know what to do, not that she doesn't know the way back to the hotel, more like she doesn't want to be in a strange country without Usui.

"I'm not going anywhere." Quietly, a soft familiar voice came from the top of Misaki. Usui was standing right in front of her.

When Misaki looked up, Usui was slightly shocked; since, Misaki was sobbing softly. He didn't mean to make Misaki cry, and he realized he took this prank too far.

"You idiot!" Misaki punched Usui's legs, and then kept her head down again.

"I'm sorry." Usui bent down to be at the same level as Misaki. "I don't want to see you cry like this either, ok?"

"These are not tears!" Misaki wiped the wet liquid from her face. "They're just...eye sweat!"

"Yes, they are eye sweat." Uusi chuckled. "Make up?"

"Where's my sorry..." Misaki murmured.

"Sorry." Usui leaned forward and kissed Misaki on the forehead. "I'm the worst guy on this planet."

"Not only on this planet, on planet pheromone too." Misaki sniffed.

Usui stood up, then gently helped Misaki to stand up.

"What are we supposed to do?" Misaki asked. To avoid any awkward continuation of this event, Misaki decided to change the topic. "I still have no idea why we're in England..."

"I'm here to talk to the Walker family." Usui said. "However, they refused."

"Then how are you going to talk to them...?" Misaki tilted her head.

"It's Gerard's birthday tomorrow." A sneaky smile spread across Usui's face." We're sneaking in."

"How?" Misaki was still confused.

"That's why we're doing shopping today." Usui nodded as he flashed out an invitation of Gerard's birthday party with the name Igarashi Tora on there.

"You..." Misaki suspected Usui of stealing the invitation.

"No worries, Igarashi Tora lent it to me." Usui nodded. "Not much people in England know Igarashi Tora, so it will just work out fine."

"May I ask why he lent it to you?" Misaki questioned.

"He doesn't like Gerard that much either." Usui shrugged.

"Ok..." Misaki nodded slowly. "I totally don't get what rich people are thinking.

On Gerard's Birthday at the Walker Mansion

"May I have your invitation?" A man dressed up in proper suit asked politely, he was probably one of the many butlers working in the mansion.

"Here." Usui who was dressed in a well tailored suit and his hair pulled back passed the invitation. At the side of Usui was Misaki in a typical secretary uniform.

"Welcome, Mr. Igarashi Tora." The butler asked. "How about this lady?"

"She's my secretary." Usui, apparently Igarashi Tora right now, explained.

"Please enter." The butler gestured for Misaki and Usui to enter the mansion.

Immediately, Usui and Misaki walked up the short stairs and went into the mansion right away. They had no time to spare, since both of them wanted to complete this mission as fast as possible and go home.

"What's the plan?" Misaki asked in Japanese.

"Smile and act normal for now." It seems like Usui does not have an exact plan too. "You never know what happens at a high society party."

"I'll just stick with you for now." Misaki walked closer to Usui.

Usui and Misaki decided to stay at the corner, they've decided to absorb the situation for now. With drinks in their hands, they just stood there and stared at the crowd of well dressed people.

"I wonder how much those dresses cost..." Misaki shook her head. "Those money can be used on better things."

"This is the truth of the higher social class." Usui sipped a little from his champagne glass. "All they care is what makes their image look good."

Misaki saw Usui's clenching fist. She knew that he was probably talking about the fact how his father was treated by the Walker family. Moderately, Misaki held Usui's clenching fist and Usui looked at Misaki.

"Let's go and find your father after this conflict ends." With a soft voice, Misaki comforted Usui.

"I hope he isn't bald yet." Usui joked.

Without any expectations, the light of the large room dimmed. As expected, Gerard entered the room. As the spotlight today, he looked extremely eye-catching Gerard did a short speech about his birthday, also thanking everyone for coming. Usui and Misaki just stood at the corner, clapped when the rest clapped, and laughed when the rest laughed. Once the speech ended, the party started.

"I don't see Patricia Walker..." Misaki whispered to Usui.

"She's probably too sick to attend this party." Usui explained. "We'll sneak off half way to find her."

"The problem is there are million of rooms in this mansion." Misaki warned.

"Let's just try sneaking out here first." Usui suggested.

"Good idea." Misaki agreed.

Both of them found a waiter and then placed their empty glasses onto the waiter's tray, then made their way outside the room where the party is located and went towards the stairs. Obviously, the stairs that would lead to the inside living area of the mansion.

"Sorry, you may not pass." However, obviously there were security at the end of the stairs too, 2 muscular man in suit just stood at the stairs. Yet, Usui and Misaki weren't that dumb. They just looked at each other and nodded.

"Me... Lost!" Misaki started to act like an English illiterate person.

"pardon, où sont les toilettes?" Usui asked where the toilet is in fluent French.

One of the securities who understood a little bit of French pointed at where the toilet is.

"Why you no answer I?" Misaki furiously held on to one of the man's collar.

Misaki's action caused one of the securities balance to go off, and formed a gap just enough for one person to slip through and go up the stairs.

"Ah!" Usui nodded and pointed up at the stairs. "Toilettes!"

At sonic speed, Usui slipped between the two guys and went up the stairs.

"Wait! The toilet is not there!" The other security who was not being held by Misaki was going to chase after Usui. With a little kick, Misaki bent the knees of that particular security and caused him to fall.

"Don't worry about me! Do what you have to do!" Misaki shouted to Usui who was running up the stairs in Japanese.

Usui just turned around and smiled.

"We have to report about this bloody, mad lady!" The security who fell, stood up and said to the other security.

"Indeed." The other security took his walkie talkie out.

After a few minutes, Misaki ended up sitting in a small room with a bunch of other security surrounding her.

"I! Lost!" Misaki was still in her role of acting as a lost foreign guest.

"Anyone who speaks... Asian language here?" One of the securities asked the rest of the securities.

"Nope." Many of them replied.

"Do we really have to bother Master Gerard on his birthday?" One of them asked.

"I think that's the only solution now." One security answered.

"Anything but that that!" Misaki prayed in her mind.

"We can just call Master Edward for now." Another security suggested.

...

Usui speed walked down the hallway. As he walked down the hall, many pieces of his childhood memory slowly came back. He remembered the formation of this mansion, and the cold, smooth texture of each door. Instinctively, he walked towards a certain door. One certain door, that he has a faint memory of. He stopped in front of the door, and took a deep breath.

Knock! Knock! Usui tapped on the cold wooden surface.

"Come in." A middle aged woman voice came from the other side.

Usui pushed the door open. He saw Patricia Walker sitting on a large sofa chair, while looking out the window.

"Is it you, Edward?" Patricia asked without turning her head around.

"No, it's me." Calmly, Usui declared his identity.

Patricia paused, she slowly turned her head around and saw her son, her illegitimate son.
