Brightclaw237: Another chapter full of excitement, adventure, and mysteries. I only own the angel-hounds.

"Cap'n Woolbeard, how are you feeling?!" Salty asks as he flies over to the spirit.
"Aye, Salty, but what happened?" Woolbeard asked, looking quite puzzled.
"Those scalawags tried to give ya a fake ribbon!" Salty growled.
"Aye, I remember now! Next time I see em, they'll wish hat they had never heard of the legendary pirate, Captain Woolbeard!" Woolbeard shouts, but is stopped by Brightclaw.
"Woolbeard, revenge is meaningless. The only thing that vengeance brings is grief, and in turn, causes more grief. The result would be of a circle of never ending hate and war." Brightclaw spoke with a voice full of despair. "I should know, which is why I chose to forgive, but never forget." Brightclaw explains, her eyes shine with knowledge that is as vast as the open seas.
I look at Brightclaw now and wonder, if Brightclaw maturing. 'Brightclaw has never been like this, she would usually join in the battle, not run away from it?' I ask myself.
'No, Brightclaw isn't running from the battle, she is preventing pointless wars and deaths.' Polar speaks with a majestic voice, as if he were a king.
'What do you mean, Polar?' Breeze asks, confused, as well as my other vivosaurs.
'I mean that Brightclaw is growing stronger in three ways.' Polar sighs. 'The first thing that has grown is her bond. Brightclaw's bond grows every second that she is by your side, strengthening her courage as well.' Polar explained. 'The other two, is Brightclaw's physical and mental strength. The more that you are protected by Brightclaw, the stronger her body will become, explaining how she was able to withstand the full hit of that lightning bolt. The mental strength must be from the recovery of her memories.' Polar growls from within his medal.
'What do you mean, from Brightclaw's memories?' I ask Polar.
'Brightclaw said to Woolbeard, that she should know how it feels. That means, something had affected Brightclaw in her past, something that changed her life forever. We must not bother Brightclaw about her past though, it may damage the trust she has with you, Hunter.' Polar sighed.
'Right, I just hope that Brightclaw regains all of her lost memories.' I think to myself, seeing Brightclaw stand tall and proud, as Captain Woolbeard and Salty give her the treasure. Afterwards, the two ghosts disappeared into puffs of smoke.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Rosie shouted as she saw what the treasure was.
"All this…" Holt started.
"For!" Sparky barked.
"A!" Brightshadow growled.
"Tacky!" Blaze snarled.
"Idol, yes it was, but now that makes three of them. There could be a secret behind them or not. Even though this may have just been for an idol, we have all grown much stronger." Brightclaw barked, handing me the idol. This one was tall, thin, and had blue patterns.
"She's actually right! Blaze and I were able to protect you guys from vivosaurs, without using our own!" Sparky exclaims, Brightclaw just smiles.
"Yeah, but we'd better get back to the island. The Level Up Battles should start in five minutes." Blaze barks, activating the VMM's teleporting function, sending us back to the Fighter Area.
"I think that we should go take the test now." I tell Brightclaw and Brightshadow.
"Why now, I'm really tired!" Brightshadow whines.
"Fine then, Hunter and I will a level higher than you for awhile." Brightclaw barks, walking to the Fighter Colosseum with me.
"Huh!? Aaaa! Wait for me!" Brightshadow yells, Brightclaw smirks at her victory, giving me a look saying, I told you so.
I roll my eyes at her. "Really?" I ask her. Brightclaw just shrugs.
'Perhaps I may have been wrong about your partner, Hunter.' Polar sighs.
'Here I had actually thought that Brightclaw had matured, but I guess that's not the case.' I exhale a deep breath.
Twenty minutes later…
The three of us had passed our cleaning tests and preliminarie. "Now it time to face the level master and reach level five status." I say as we enter the battlefield and are shocked to see Nick Nack and Dragonfly. "Of course, they had to be the level masters." I face palm at my own stupidity.
"Hunter, don't do that. Face palming can end up hurting yourself, if you keep doing it." Brightclaw sighed.
"Fine, but let's just get this battle over with, before your brother decides to give up and just go home." I say, holding the leash that is attached to Brightshadow. "No matter how hard you try, you are not escaping this. You've got to level up if you want to go to other dig sites, Brightshadow." I explain while Brightshadow continues to try to chew on the leash.
"Grrr!" Brightshadow growls in frustration.
Nick Nack threw three air vivosaurs out, consisting of an Elasmoth, Styraco, and a M-raptor. Dragonfly sent out two teams, one for Brightclaw to battle, and the other for Brightshadow. The first team was made up of air types as well, while the second team was made up of two earths and one water. The air team had a Kentro, Cerato, and a Hoplo, the second team had a Dalspleto, Lexo, and Jiango. I sent out Moss, Breeze, and Kaze, while Brightclaw sent out her usual team, Whirlwind, Fang, and Slash. Brightshadow had actually made a smart choice of which vivosaurs to use, sending out Ninja, Toxa, and Savage.
Nick Nack was first to attack. "Elasmoth, ruin his team with a ruin beam!" Nick Nick exclaims as he spins around like a ballerina. The Elasmoth shoots three golden beams that hits my entire team, taking them down by a quarter of their Lp.
'You guys okay?' I ask my team.
'Yeah, just a bit surprised.' Moss says, shaking his head.
'Same here, that was a team skill!' Breeze growled.
'A team skill?' I ask my team.
'A team skill is an attack where a team of compatible vivosaurs can let's loose a big attack when giving power to the attacker.' Moss explains.
'Yeah, and if you save up for two more turns, Moss can use an attack called cyclonic breath!' Breeze smirked.
'Right, then I'll pass.' I tell them as I hit the pass button on my new battle watch. A brand new fossil battling device, that has all of the commands of battling on it.
It was now Dragonfly's turn. "Kentro, wind spines on, Spinax!" Dragonfly barked as his kentro fired sonic booms of air at Slash, who had now dodged the attack. "Hmm, stone spines on V-raptor!" Dragonfly commanded as his Lexo did a similar attack on Toxa.
Brightshadow and Brightclaw then looked at each other and nodded. "Cyclonic breath!" They barked as they held each others' paw, creating a bright light as Slash and Toxa shot two green massive vortexes from their mouths. The vortexes combined together to create an even bigger attack. "Now, unleash the gale force winds on both of Dragonfly's teams!" Brightclaw and Brightshadow shouted as Slash and Toxa aimed the massive attack at both teams, defeating them.
"Whoa! Never before has there been a team skill like that! What do you make of it Slate?" P.A. asks him.
"It looks like those two siblings have created a whole new attack by sharing their fossil power, and combining two team skills to form a new one!" Slate summarized.
"Well it was one heck of a team skill! It took out both of Dragonfly's teams! You'd have to have a strong bond not just with your vivosaurs, but with your partner as well." P.A. explains.
I look over at my two partners, Brightclaw's claws and Brightshadow's fur were gleaming in the sunlight while their paws were connected. It was now Nick Nack's turn to attack. "Ruin them again with Ruin beam, Elasmoth!" Nick Nack shouted as the rhinoceros-like Vivosaur fire another three golden beams at my team, leaving them all at half health.
"Ugh!" I grunted as the impact of the attack pushed me back five feet, and my vivosaurs back by three feet. "I still don't have enough, and if Moss takes one more hit, he'll be defeated!" I exclaim, looking at how low Moss's Lp is. Somebody puts their paw on my shoulder, I look over and see Brightclaw looking at me with a face full of determination.
"It's not over till the very end, and even when things seem like all hope is lost, your friends will help give you he power to win." Brightclaw says, her claws glow white on my shoulder and I can feel power coursing through my soul. I then look at the amount of fossil power on my battle device, I now have over 400 FP. "Ready for a team skill that will help your spirit blaze with courage?" She asks me.
"Yeah!" I tell her, my hand clenched into a fist. "Moss!" I shout, getting his attention.
There was a glint of excitement in his eyes. "Flaming Hurricane!" Brightclaw and I shout in union as Moss lets unleashes Cyclonic Breath, and Fang lets loose a Scorch Breath, that combines just like the first two Cyclonic Breaths. The only big difference is that these were two completely different moves, the Cyclonic Breath had powered the Scorch Breath, making it three times larger than before. Nick Nack's team didn't even stand a chance, the flaming vortex had engulfed his entire team.
"Unbelievable! Brightclaw and Hunter were able to pull off an even bigger team skill that practically obliterated Nick Nack's team!" P. A. exclaims in shock.
"It must be from the boost of hat Cyclonic Breath. The wind was a source of power for the fire. If you look at how Brightclaw's team is set up, her S-Raptor's flames could feed off of the wind created by her Coatlus and Shanshan!" Slate explained.
Five minutes later, Nick Nack and Dragonfly had certified us as Level Five Fighters. We had thought that life was starting to get better, but we would soon realize that things would be getting worse. Worse for Vivosaur and for my partner, Brightclaw. Brightshadow had wanted to stay with Rosie and Blaze for the night. My guess is that he wants to play on a computer with somebody that will go with him anywhere. Brightclaw and I had gone to bed early after putting the new idol on the shelf. The next day, a police officer had come to get Holt, Sparky, Brightclaw, and I. The police said to see Bullwort. We had all gone into the office and saw Bullwort, Blaze as well, but no Rosie and Brightshadow. "Hunter, Rosie has been kidnapped, and Blaze here, found a note left by the perpetrators." Bullwort sighs, handing me the note.
"Bring the idols to the Park Area dock tonight at ten thirty, and then Rosie can go." I read aloud as I looked under he note and saw a picture of Rosie tied up and gagged.
We all had head home and did nothing for the rest of the day. Vivosaur Island was under lockdown for the safety of the citizens. Blaze had come over to my hotel room and was begging for my help to rescue Rosie.
