Tweek's sprawled out. His arm is slung over my chest and his leg on top of mine. He's naked. After the party we went back to my house because Ruby's at a friends and my mom is at our grandma's. I appreciate her leaving me the house empty. I definitely do.
Tweek suddenly sits up and I stare at him wide eyed. He stares back with the same expression. "How long have you been up?"
I shrug, "I was just thinking."
"I got cold. You always knock the blanket off the bed."
I scoff, "You knock the blanket off the bed!"
He rolls his eyes. "It only happens when I sleep with you." He points out.
"You're a crazy sleeper! You kicked me in the back once!"
He shrugs, "I get night terrors."
I raise an eyebrow. "Really?" He nods. "Oh. Well, wake me up. Shit."
He shakes his head. "Not a big deal."
"Just wake me up. That's not a big deal either." He pinches my nose. Something he's decided he likes to do I guess. He grabs the blanket and throws it over us, cuddling against my chest. I wrap my arms around him and nuzzle his head. "You smell like weed."
"That's funny because I was just about to smoke some. Wanna come?"
"We still haven't talked about your problem."
"I don't have a problem." He mumbles against my skin. "If I wanted to stop I would. I chose to not though because it relieves my stress."
"It's not healthy." I tell him. "I'm worried about you. What are you trying to cope with?"
"I told you it's not a problem."
"You didn't used to smoke this much."
"How would you know?"
"Because I just do. We've been dating for a few months and you definitely didn't smoke this much in the beginning of our relationship."
He groans. "You can't make me quit and I don't want to."
"I never said you had to. Just that I'm worried." I stroke his hair. "And I just wanted to know what you're stressed about. Maybe there's a better way for you to deal with it."
"I was only gonna take a few hits but now I need a joint. You're really pissing me off." He says, pushing himself up abruptly and getting out of bed. He leaves the room after pulling on some boxers. I'm so confused.
I toss the cover from my body and then search the bed for my own undergarment. Once they're pulled on I go searching for the blonde. I open the door and peek down the hall. The bathroom light is on but the doors shut. He's so immature sometimes. I stroll down the hall, reach to the top of the door, grab the key, unlock the door, and push it open.
Tweek's standing in front of the sink, rolling a blunt. I sigh and snatch it all up in one hand, some weed spills onto the floor and some goes into the sink. Tweek screams, "What the fuck?! You didn't pay for that shit so you can't just waste it, you asshole!" He starts to punch my arm but I push past him and throw everything in the toilet and flush it before he can protest. He gaps at me. "You fucking owe me twenty bucks."
"So you can go buy some more? Fuck you."
"It's not your fucking choice what I do to my body."
I shake my head. "You need help. Are you gonna sweep this up or am I going to have to? Because if my mom comes home and finds weed on the floor she'll probably murder me or something."
Tweek storms out the bathroom. I run my hands down my face. This is ridiculous. How can someone so young have this problem now? I head downstairs to grab the broom and then back up to sweep. Once I'm sure all traces of marijuana are gone I head back into the bedroom. The door is shut and I can see a towel shoved under the door.
"Motherfucker," I open it and am hit with a cloud of smoke and the smell of weed. I see Tweek on the bed with a bong and a bag with an absurd amount of the herb. "What the fuck!"
He gives a smug smirk from the bed. "Want some?"
"Tweek, I'm not fucking playing anymore. Tell me what this shit is about!" He simply flicks me off and takes another hit. I snatch the bong and put it on my desk. Then I stomp back to the bed. Tweek stares at me curiously.
I get on the bed and tackle him, which only causes him to giggle. I straddle him and pin his hands next to his head and get in his face. "Talk to me or I'm gonna make you go home."
He laughs and screams, "YOU CAN'T! Not after making me horny!" He cries, still laughing.
"Tweek, stop fucking laughing! Do I look like I'm playing around?" He stops laughing and frowns once he realizes I'm really not joking. "Why are you doing this?"
He lets out a frustrated sigh, "It just makes everything a little bit easier to handle. Without it I'd be stressed and depressed and I'd be all anxious! Probably how I was when I was little, not as bad but close, maybe." He says. "And it's just been so hard lately." He admits. "To be happy, I mean."
"Tweek, this definitely not gonna help you."
"It's been doing the job so far." He stares at the ceiling past my head.
I let out a deep breath and drop my weight on top of him. He grunts but doesn't dissent. "How about we start small? I can be like your sponsor. Instead of the constant smoking you do right now we bump it down to once a day and then to once every three days and so on?"
Tweek grumbles into my neck, "You suck."
"Whenever you feel like you're gonna use you can call me and no matter what I'll come over or you can come over. Until you feel better?"
"I just wish I could be happy. I think I've forgotten how."
"You don't have to do everything alone." I tell him. "You said I make you happier. Maybe we should just be around each other more."
He laughs, "More? We already hang out all the time."
"I'm just trying to help you."
He nods, "I know and I appreciate it. I'll… try."
"Thank you." I kiss his forehead and he pulls me in for a kiss on the lips. And soon the tongue ensues. His hands run up and down my back. After a heavy make out session I grab some gym shorts and Tweek steals some of my sweat pants and then we head downstairs for some breakfast.
"Breakfast?" Tweek snorts, "It's like two o'clock."
I shrug, "Then what should we make?"
We hear the front door being unlocked and my mom steps in. He looks shocked to see us. "Well, hello," I give a nod and Tweek waves. "Whatcha guys up to?"
"Making food." I tell her.
"I was unaware you were gonna be having Tweek over." My mom has met Tweek formally after like a month. Only because I had him over when she just so happened to come home. Luckily, we were just watching TV, we could have been doing a lot worse when she came home. She seems to like him, I think. I mean, I don't know. She could be pretending but it seems genuine. But, how could someone completely flip flop their beliefs and opinions? It's possible, just not likely. I think she's just waiting for the day I leave but that could just be my anxiety.
I nod, "Yeah, well, I had the house to myself…" Her eyes widen a little as she nods and I gap at her. "Not like that, mom! I meant I didn't want to be here alone!" I did mean it like that but I just wasn't paying attention to what I was saying. But let's be honest, my mom knows good and damn well what goes on when Tweek and I have the house to ourselves. And whenever we're alone together, basically.
I'm not ashamed.
"Of course not." She laughs. "How're you, Tweek?" She drops her purse on the table with her keys.
"I'm doing okay." Tweek answers as she saunters into the kitchen.
"That's good. How about that mother of yours? Haven't spoken to her in a week or so." My mom started talking to Tweek's mom around the same time she met Tweek. I guess once she saw us interacting she realized we were a serious thing she should invest in. And I appreciate it. Maybe I am just being paranoid.
Tweek shrugs, "She's okay. I think she's getting better." He says with a hint of hope and it makes my heart skip. Tweek having hope, considering where we were a few months ago this is fantastic. "She's not too happy about losing her hair though, but for Christmas I'm gonna get her an expensive wig that looks like her old hair."
My mom grins, "That's wonderful. I'll make you guys some food, Craig. Don't worry about it." She waves me out of the cupboard.
"Thanks, mom," She kisses my forehead.
"I love you, hun."
"I love you too, mom." I tell her.
She grins again and turns to Tweek, "I love you, Tweek."
Tweek smiles back just as wide, "And I, you, Ms. Tucker!" He hugs her and she hugs him back.
"Now, get out of here so I can cook."
After that we play some video games until my mom's done cooking. Then, we eat and Tweek has to leave for his mom.
"Don't forget to call me if you need me. I'll text you." I tell him, pulling him into me one more time before he goes.
He wraps his arms around my neck. "I will and I know." He pecks me on the lips before I kiss him softly, nipping at his bottom lip as I pull away. He groans and opens his eyes slowly after. "Why do you do that when I'm leaving?"
"'Cause I'm gonna miss you. And I'll be thinking about it the whole time you're not with me."
He smiles, "You're amazing."
"You're amazing." I repeat back to him.
"Yeah, we're pretty badass." I laugh and he kisses me one more time before ripping my hands off him and opening the door quickly. He always leaves quickly. He says that it helps because he doesn't want to. I understand that. I started to do the same because I have the same problem. It helps.
I watch him from the door as he gets in his mom's car and wave to the two when they drive away.
